In The Witcher 10, Geralt has many options to choose from. Some forks may seem insignificant, but will cause more problems later on. Here are XNUMX of the most striking examples.
The world of The Witcher 3 is full of beauty and danger. It shouldn't come as a surprise to fans that Geralt can get into trouble while traveling. From Velin to Toussaint, trials await him wherever he decides to go.
Some of the problems Geralt faces are entirely caused by his own behavior. Sometimes one wrong choice is enough for everything to end in disaster. And if Geralt will make some bad decisions, he will have to stoically accept the consequences and learn how to deal with them. However, not every opportunity to get into trouble is as obvious as it might seem.
Looting in public places
Throughout the game, Geralt there is an opportunity to get a lot of things, from pretty useless trinkets to expensive jewelry or food that can restore his vitality. No one will forbid a witcher to enter a man's house and take whatever he wants. The NPCs won't tell him anything. However, if Geralt decides to rob in front of the seniors, he will have problems. The guards will either fight him or take some of his money.
Press on Yennefer's feelings
At some point in the game, the player has the option to decide if they want to Geralt ended up with Triss or Yennefer (or even on his own). If Geralt chooses Triss, he can later go to Kaer Morhen and taunt the black-haired sorceress. To annoy her, Geralt just needs to be told that he won't be groveling during their conversation about Triss. This will force Yennefer to transport him across the lake. There, Geralt will fall into the water and have a long journey back to Kaer Morhen.
Relationships with both Yennefer and Triss
Speaking of novels if the player decides to continue the romance with both Yennefer and Triss, Geralt will end up alone. The witcher has a choice - to be with Triss during the Now or Never quest. If he tells her that he loves her, she won't leave with the other mages. During the Last Wish quest, he can tell Yennefer that his feelings for her haven't changed. From now on they will be together. However, if he tries to do both, both women will figure it out and leave him in a rather predicament (for Geralt, not for them).
Being a bad father to Ciri
Ciri is of course not Geralt's biological daughter. (after all, witchers cannot have children), but Geralt himself definitely considers her his daughter. He would do anything for her or kill anyone who hurt her.
However, it can also cause her to fall. If Geralt does not support Ciri enough, she will die when she goes to fight the White Frost. All he has to do is encourage her freedom and independence throughout the game in order for Ciri to succeed.
Let Detlaff kill Syanna
Detlaff is the main villain in the Blood and Wine DLC.but to be honest, it's not entirely his fault. It is later revealed that Syanna, Anna Henrietta's sister, manipulated him into committing murders for her. Nevertheless, it would be a mistake to let Detlaff kill Syanna in revenge. If Geralt decides to do this, he will end up in prison, and his good friend Buttercup will have to rush to his aid. Although it's usually the other way around.
Fight against stronger enemies
It seems to go without saying, but many players are still not careful enough, and Geralt gets into big trouble as a result. If the current level of the hero is much lower than that of one of the enemies he is facing, he should postpone the fight. At least if he has the opportunity to retreat. More likely, he will not be able to overcome the enemy and will only waste valuable time trying to win. Especially if the player is playing on the Deathly Difficulty! or "Pain and suffering!"
Demanding too much money
Geralt can either focus on the main storyline - finding Ciri and helping her defeat the Wild Hunt, or on the conclusion of as many contracts as possible. You can take quests to kill monsters on the bulletin board.
Having decided on the task, Geralt can bargain for a higher fee. But if he gets too greedy, the person who signed the contract will withdraw his order, and the witcher will be left without a job and without his coin.
Walk in the mountains
The world of The Witcher 3 is beautiful and has many areas worth visiting. Some of them are obvious, some are hidden. However, if Geralt decides to explore the Skellige Isles, he should be even more careful than usual. There is a lot of charm in the local mountains, but they are also covered with snow, and if Geralt falls from any mountain or peak, he will die.
Let Keira Metz die
Keira Metz is a sorceress from Velen, and the first romance that Geralt can spin in the game. Keira has three possible lines of fate. Either Geralt kills her himself, or lets her go to Radovid (which leads to her death), or convinces the girl to go to Kaer Morhen. If Keira dies, it will not cause problems for Geralt, but for his fellow witcher Lambert, whose life the sorceress saves during the battle.
Air strike
Finally, the Geralt can run into trouble just by punching the air. This is especially true in Novigrad, where there are a lot of guards, but it can happen elsewhere. All Geralt needs to do to make trouble happen is find a place with security nearby and wave your fist or use any of the signs. This will upset the guards and they may even attack the witcher. So if the player wants to wreak havoc, this is a good way.

I disagree about Detlaff. Syanna deserved death more than anyone. And if you kill Detluff, then Regis will be killed because of the curse. I do not want it. For Syanna, death is the only way out, it will not bring more benefit to the world, only harm.
This logic also makes sense, I do not argue. However, the plot systematically leads the player to the idea that she should live, as it seems to me 🙂
In any case, the good thing about games is that we can go through stories several times and see all the outcomes!)
And yet, without killing Syanna, we lose a great opportunity to get acquainted with the most charismatic convict of Neverland (with an inimitable accent of his speech). And if, at the same time, the sorceresses are dynamized + shit on the Circus, then meet Buttercup and listen to the most entertaining dialogue (IMHO) of all possible
f**k Sianna. For the sake of a mare who manipulated a vampire (and, I want to remind you, not only him, but all her pack and others) to kill Comrade Regis? Who tried to adapt to this world, tried to work for the benefit of people ... No, really. Let it suffocate. That's where she belongs. It's still a quick death for her.
This is not entirely true about Keira Metz, I did not call her to Kaer Morhen and still managed to save Lambert, the main thing is to come to his aid in time.
Interesting fact! I have never succeeded in several passages 🙂
He also saved him without any problems, although he played to death
