In Genshin impact, Kamisato Ayato is a Hydro Swordsman who can act as a lead damage dealer or a useful sub-DD, dealing damage passively while off-field. While in the elemental skill stance, he performs multiple water strikes on enemies, and when activating his ultimate, he summons a special zone, inside which blades periodically fall on enemy targets.
The heir of the Kamisato clan can act as a hyper-carry around which a support team is built, as well as an excellent support hero for damage dealers who rely on normal attacks, or as a Hydro applicator for reactionary squads.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst opens up the possibility of creating powerful reactions. The hero fits easily into many teams, but, like any character, has his strengths and weaknesses.
Strengths:
- High baseline KU due to the fact that this characteristic increases with ascension.
- Great damage both for one target and AoE.
- Excellent at dealing with Hydro status effects.
- Thanks to the passive skill Kamisato Art: Suiyuu there will be no problems with the restoration of energy.
- With his elemental burst, enhances normal attacks for both himself and the rest of the team. However, his presence on the battlefield is optional.
- Wide variety of team compositions.
- Does not require constellations to achieve high efficiency.
- Easy to play.
Weaknesses:
- Low base hit level.
- Free weapons perform significantly worse than expensive options.
- Using an elemental skill makes the hero vulnerable to enemy damage.
- The high cost of elemental burst, 80 energy. This is offset by the passive talent and another Hydro in the squad.
- One of the longest ult animations in the game.
Best Ayato Builds in Genshin Impact

Kamisato Ayato is a character with a unique combination of Hydro off-field damage from the ult and fast direct damage from the elemental skill. Simplicity and at the same time high DPS makes him an interesting and flexible hero that fits perfectly into most teams.
Recommended Stats
The clan leader can be both the main and secondary DD. For both builds, you need to look for the following stats in artifacts and weapons:
- crits;
- ATK;
- VE.
Also, given the dependence of the elemental skill on HP, we look for this characteristic in sub-stats. Focusing on increasing health is not advisable, since normal attacks are still scaling with ATK.
For maximum efficiency it is recommended to gain the following stats:
| Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
|---|---|---|
![]() | HP (fixed) | Crit Rate CRIT DMG ATK % HP% |
![]() | Attack Power (fixed) | Crit Rate CRIT DMG ATK % Elemental Mastery/Energy Regeneration |
![]() | ATK % | CRIT DMG Crit Rate ATK % HP% |
![]() | Hydro Damage Bonus % | CRIT DMG Crit Rate ATK % HP% |
![]() | Crit. damage/crit. chance | CRIT Rate and DMG ATK % HP% Elemental Mastery/Energy Recovery |
Optimal values:
- ATK: 1900-2000 and more.
- Crit Rate and Crit Damage: ratio 1:2, for example, 60\120 and higher.
- Energy recharge with second Hydro: 140-150%, without Hydro: 200%+, without Hydro (with Raiden): 130-150%. If the team has a Favonius weapon , the requirement for ER is reduced by about 10%.
- Elemental Mastery is nesessary only if the hero triggers reactions or plays from Bloom. In such a case, 200-250 is enough.
Top weapons
When choosing a weapon, it is important to rely on strengthening normal attacks. The best option would be the signature sword Haran Geppaku Futsu , which can be found in the banner that takes place simultaneously with the hero's. If you do not plan to pull for it, the table shows alternative equipment that will suit the head of the Kamisato clan.
| Name | Rarity | Base stats | Passive Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base Damage 46 ~ 608 Crit Rate 7,2% ~ 33,1% | Increases elemental damage by 12-24%. When other heroes activate the elemental skill, the character with the Haran Geppaku Futsu sword gains 1 level of Wavespike. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3 sec, with a maximum of 2 levels accumulated. Using the hero's elemental skill with this weapon spends all accumulated levels, while the damage of normal attacks increases by 20-40% for each Wavespike for 8 sec. One of the strongest weapon options, but with a rather specific passive. While Haran with a full set of Echoes of an Offering is the ceiling of Ayato's power, it is not recommended to get this sword if you already have the Primordial Jade Cutte or Mistsplitter Reforged. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 44 ~ 542 Crit Chance 9,6% ~ 44,1% | Increases HP by 20%-40%. Also gives an ATK bonus equal to 1,2%-2,4% of max HP of the character equipped with this weapon. The low base is offset by the attack bonus from HP. The health boost synergizes well with elemental skill scaling. The sword is easy to use and does not require stacking. The only problem may be an overabundance of crit chance in Frozen teams |
![]() Mistsplitter Reforged | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 48 ~ 674 CRIT DMG 9,6% ~ 44,1% | Increases elemental damage bonus by 12-24%. Elemental Burst and elemental damage from normal attacks activate an additional bonus of 8%, 16% or 24% depending on the accumulated stacks. Although the passive is more versatile than Haran's, the hero often fails to reach the maximum number of stacks (1-2 per rotation). The exception is teams with burst DPS, where the gap is significantly reduced. |
![]() | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Base stat: 46 - 608 CRIT Rate: 7,2% - 33,1% | Critical damage of elemental burst is increased by 16/20/24/28/32%When an elemental blast hits an enemy, the wearer gains the "Blade of White Day" effect, which increases attack by 20/25/30/35/40%Additionally, nearby allies gain an attack power boost of 16/20/24/28/32%. The effect lasts for 3 sec. If the squad has the "Witchcraft: Arcane Rite" buff, the "Blade of White Day" buff is increased by an additional 75%. Works even when the wearer is not on the battlefield. Best suited for the sub-DD role in a group with Secret Rite, where the main-DD's abilities scale with ATK. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Normal attack: 44-542 CRIT DMG: 19.2%-88.2% | Damage from normal attacks is increased by 16-32%, elemental skill damage by 24-48%. When a nearby active character deals Geo damage, these effects are increased by an additional 100% for 15 sec. In addition, the equipped character's defense increases by 20-40%. Since stance attacks count as normal attacks, the first part of the passive ability will work for him. When playing with Geo characters, for example, Zhongli и Yun Jin, and an additional increase will work. However, defense is useless. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 42 ~ 510 Crit Chance 6% ~ 27,6% | Normal and charged attack damage increased by 20%~40%. Critical hits from them also restore health equal to 60%~100% of attack power. The effect can occur once every 5 seconds. sword from Battle Pass - one of the strongest 4* options, giving valuable Crit Rate/DMG, strengthening of normal attacks, as well as a healing passive, which can be useful in difficult situations, but mostly it is insignificant. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 46 ~ 608 ATK 10,8% ~ 49,6% | Increases shield durability by 20-40%. When hitting an enemy, increases ATK by 4-8% for 8 seconds. The effect stacks up to 5 times and occurs once every 0,3 seconds. In addition, if you have a shield, the bonus is increased by 100%. Quite a situational option, requiring a shield for the passive effect to work. Gives a huge increase to ATK, thanks to which you can refuse additional buffs for this stat. It is recommended to place it provided that the above-mentioned weapons are not available. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base damage: 44 ~ 565 Critical Damage: 8% ~ 36,8% | Killing an enemy will increase ATK by 12-24% for 30 seconds. The effect stacks up to 3 times. The duration of stacks is independent of each other. At max levels the sword is incredibly strong, but does not work at all on bosses or against a small number of enemies + heavily depends on the set of stacks. One way or another, this is a weapon with high crit damage and base ATK, which is already good. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 42 ~ 510 ATK 9% ~ 41,3% | Hits with normal, charged, or plunging attacks create a Hewing Gale, which deals area damage equal to 180% of ATK and also increases ATK by 15% for 8 sec. This effect can occur once every 8 sec. Provides a lot of ATK and activates from normal hits. Overall, it's a decent F2P option that's worth using if there are no other alternatives. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 46-608 Energy recharge 12%-55,1% | Increases critical hit chance by 4%-8%. Elemental burst awakens the power of the heavens, increasing movement and attack speed by 10%, and normal and charged attacks deal an additional 20%-40% damage on impact. All effects last for 12 sec. It can be a good option when a large amount of energy recovery is required (for example with the Emblem of Severed Fate set). In this case, the sword can overtake the Blackcliff Longsword R1 in damage. Otherwise, its passive ability gives very little. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Normal attack: 44-565 ATK: 6-27,6% | Activating an elemental skill increases ATK by 12-24% for 15 sec and grants a Bond of Life equal to 25% of Max HP. The effect can occur once every 10 sec. When the Bond of Life disappears, it increases ATK by 2,4-4,8% of its own value (max 150-300) for 15 sec. Bond of Life: Absorbs the character's received healing equal to its own value, then disappears. A strong crafted sword with high base and ATK. The character often uses elemental skill, so it is easy to implement the passive effect, but there will be a need for a healer in the squad. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base damage: 41 ~ 454 ATK: 12 ~ 55,1% | Using an elemental skill yields a Succession Seed (1 every 5 seconds) that lasts 30 seconds. Up to 3 such seeds can exist at the same time. When using an elemental burst, the accumulated seeds are consumed, and after 2 seconds the character receives 6-12 energy for each charge. One of the best F2P swords. Unlikely to get all 3 stacks due to long cooldown of elemental skill. Good ATK bonus, but inferior to other 4* weapons. Reduces ER requirements. Potential anti-synergy with third passive talent. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 42 ~ 510 ATK 9% ~ 41,3% | Increases damage to enemies affected by Pyro or Electro elements by 20-36%. Another one of the strongest 4 * options, but only in teams with Electro or Pyro, which is the only situation where you can maintain high damage from the passive. Without the passive effect, the sword's stats are degraded so much that it's best to choose any of the other weapons listed here instead. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 42 ~ 510 ATK 9% ~ 41,3% | When the character hits an enemy with a normal or charged attack, a musical note appears. After accumulating 5 notes, a shockwave appears, which deals 100-200% damage to surrounding enemies. The note can be received once every 0,5 seconds, and its time on the battlefield lasts 30 seconds. Not a bad option with average stats. The bonus accumulates up to 5 notes, which subsequently deal additional DPS of 100-200%. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 39 ~ 401 CRIT DMG 10,2% ~ 46,9% | Increases crit chance by 14%~28% when HP is above 90%. A strong sword, but only if you maintain the passive effect, which is made more difficult by the fact that the hero is rooted in place while using the elemental skill. It is also recommended to have a support buffer (Bennett, Sarah) to compensate for the extremely low base ATK. |
![]() Calamity of Eshu | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 44-565 ATK: 6-27,6% | Increases damage of normal and charged attacks by 20-40%, as well as their critical hit chance 8-16%, if the character is protected by a shield. |
Choosing Artifacts
Artifacts for Ayato are selected based on the character's role:
- For a sub-DPS , look for energy recharge, elemental damage and elemental burst bonuses.
- For a main DPS choose buffs for normal hits, elemental damage, ATK.
Of the possible sets or pieces, we recommend using the following:
| Name | The set is | Rarity | Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nymph's Dream | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: 15% bonus to Hydro damage. 4 Piece: When hitting an enemy with a normal, charged, plunging, E or ult attack, grants 1 level of Mirrored Nymph. With 1/2/3 levels of Mirrored Nymph, ATK increases by 7%/16%/25%, and Hydro damage by 4%/9%/15%. All levels exist independently of each other. |
| Echoes of an Offering | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: Increases ATK by 18%. 4 Piece: Normal attacks have a 36% chance to trigger Rite of the Valley, increasing their damage by 70%. Hitting with the next normal attack removes this effect after 0,5 sec. If the bonus is not activated, the chance to trigger Rite of the Valley increases by 20% with the next hit. The chance to activate the bonus can occur no more than once every 1 sec. One of the best sets, the passive effect of which is quite easy to activate due to quick strikes under the stance of the elemental skill. However, there is one latency-related issue to be aware of: if the player has a bad connection latency above 100, the set will become unstable. This is because there is a correlation between the average activation speed of the effect and the player's ping - higher latency usually results in a decrease in the average activation speed. |
| Heart of Depth | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: Increases Hydro damage bonus by 15%. 4 Piece: Normal and Charged Attack damage is increased by 30% for 15 seconds. after using an elemental skill. The full Depths set is one of the strongest artifact sets, more stable than Echoes and perhaps more economical in terms of resin costs. Players should use the set where they managed to gain the best stats, since they are approximately equal. However, for the Sub-DPS position, it is better to give preference to this set. | |
| Gladiator’s Finale | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: Increases ATK by 18%. 4 Piece: Increases damage of normal attacks by 35% if the character is using a one-handed, two-handed or polearm weapon. Strong choice, though harder to farm (drops randomly from bosses). Weaker than other options if using Yun Jin or Bennett. Roughly the same DPS as Heart of Depth, but worse as a secondary DPS. | |
| Gladiator’s Finale / Echoes of an Offering / Heart of Depth | ![]() ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Any combination of 2 pieces of ATK and Hydro damage artifacts can be as powerful as the 4-piece sets mentioned above. |
| Marechaussee Hunter | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 parts: Increases normal and charged attack damage by 15%. 4 parts: Increases crit chance by 12% for 5 seconds when current HP increases or decreases. The effect can stack up to 3 times. The full set is only suitable for a squad with the Burgeon reaction, where the swordsman is in the position of the main damage dealer. Explosions of blooms and the healer help to fulfill the condition of activating the passive. The set can be combined well with other sets, for example 2 + 2 with Heart of Depth or Echoes of an Offering. |
| Emblem of Severed Fate | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2 Piece: Increases Energy Recharge rate by 20%. 4 Piece: Increases elemental burst damage by an amount equal to 25% of ER. Max bonus is 75%. A full burst build set (secondary DD via ult) with lower overall DPS. Unlocks with high energy regen vs 2+ enemies. |
| Heart of Depth /Noblesse Oblige / Emblem of Severed Fate | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 2+2 sets for secondary DD, playing from the ult. |
Teams

Teams for Ayato can vary. The swordsman will fit well into squads based on reactions. It is important that the second DPS can maintain the status on enemies for a long time. Also consider normal hit bonus, which grants Elemental Burst. Characters in the party should make maximum use of it to be fully effective.
If you give the swordsman a support role, the team will need a battery (to restore energy), since his ult costs 80 energy. For example, Trader Dori or Shogun Raiden. Also you can add a second Hydro.

Optimal Teams
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |

![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Nahida (set Golden Troupe) and Lauma (set Deepwood Memories) close the Dendro Resonance. Kamisato provides the team with Hydro on and off the field with his ultimate, and Toma provides a shield and Pyro status, which explodes the buds. | |

![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | Nahida will increase Elemental Mastery and allow you to cast Bloom. Shinobu/Dori will focus on healing and also support the DPS team with Hyperbloom. Candace will increase the damage of Elemental attacks and trigger Hydro Resonance. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | Vaporize team with Hydro Resonance increasing HP by 25%. Normal hit buffs from Yun Jin. Defense from Thoma and also a bonus to normal at C6. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Ganyu freezes enemies, allowing them to be attacked normally. Venti is in the team for crowd control, Swirling and energy restoring with his passive talent. Diona will give shields, healing and Cryo Resonance. Can be replaced with Layla for a stronger shield and more damage. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | The Swordsman is the main source of Hydro status for Xiangling, who will trigger Vaporize with each tick of her ult, which will allow her to give out high DPS. For Swirling, we take Kazuha (can be replaced with Venti), and Bennett will give elemental resonance +25% to damage and, due to the ult, significantly increase the damage of the group. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Economy version of the previous team. Kazuha will replace Sucrose here in the Elemental Mastery build. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | Vaporize team with Pyro Resonance or Xilonen to lower resistances. Xiangling is needed to apply the status (if necessary, she can be replaced with Dehya or Mavuika). Lan Yan will give a shield and pulling. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | Vaporize team with Hydro Resonance. Furina attacks from the pocket and increases main DPS damage. The pyro damage dealer applies a status to trigger the reaction. The support is selected based on the desired effects: buff and resonance, Swirl or Frozen. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Classic Raiden national, but Kamisato is used instead of Xingqiu. A working option that can easily clear all the content in the game. We give the E to Raiden, then use the ults of the other heroes, and round it all up with Raiden's ult. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | In such a team without a second Hydro, you will face higher requirements for ER. Although this can be compensated by Favonius weapons on supports and Amenoma Kageuchi or Skyward Blade in hands. This team has a high enough Frozen uptime, so you can comfortably play without a healer or shields. However, players can use Jean/Sayu or Diona/Charlotte instead of Kazuha or Kaeya, respectively. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A great team that buffs the swordsman to the max. Also provides a shield and reactions. Yun Jin will also increase Ayato's normal attack damage and attack speed (if c6). |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Ayaka will freeze enemies constantly. Kazuha will reduce resistance, give a bonus to damage, pull enemies and deal damage without destroying the freezing reaction. Diona will heal, give Cryo resonance and a shield. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | Frozen team with two resonances. Furina acts as a secondary damage dealer and buffer, and can heal if necessary. Charlotte deals damage with E and applies Cryo. Considering that the last slot is a shielder, the journalist can be built into a full-fledged sub-DD. | ||
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | The Swordsman and Raiden will buff each other. Ganyu will fight only through skills, providing additional reactions. Kokomi will take full health restoration and additional damage from the ult. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | We start with Ganyu's ult and E, then we ult with Rosaria (if it hasn't cooled down, we use her E), then we give Mona the E and round the whole thing up with Kamisato's ult. Then we use Shenhe's or Rosaria's E, and then we finish off the opponents with Ganyu's charged shots. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Taser team based on Electro characters. The group is aimed at inflicting damage with Charged. The Swordsman gives Hydro status and acts as a DD. For a Sub-DD, you can use Fischl or Yae Miko (or Beidou). The last slot is left for an Anemo character to Swirl Hydro/Electro elements to reduce enemy resistances, who can also heal, Jean or Sayu. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Another taser-team option for self-confident players who want not to heal, but to kill enemies faster. Therefore, as an Anemo character, we take Kazuha (or, as in the examples above, his less effective counterpart, Sucrose). |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A simplified build similar to the previous two, but for those who don't have Anemo characters. They can be replaced by Zhongli or Bennett, but the effectiveness will be slightly weaker. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | F2P team where Xiangling will create reactions with her Elemental Burst. Ember will provide Pyro Resonance. Barbara will restore HP and if there are 2 constellations, will give 15% Hydro damage. |
Stat Bonus for Ascension

Skills

Ayato is a powerful character with a unique elemental skill. He can be both a main DD and a support DD. He will mainly deal damage with his elemental abilities solo or by reacting with other elements. Below we will explore in detail how all the swordsman's abilities work, and in what order they should be upgraded.
Basic (Active) Skills

Normal attack deals up to 5 quick sword strikes. When using a charged lunge, steps forward and performs an iai. When plunging, deals physical AoE damage.
Dashes forward, leaving his Hydro illusion in his original place, and then enters the special state of Takimeguri Kanka. When the created illusion is hit by enemies or its time on the battlefield expires, it explodes, dealing Hydro damage to the area.

In the state of Takimeguri Kanka, the swordsman uses his Shunsuiken, its hits cause the Namisen effect, which increases the damage of subsequent hits proportional to the hero's maximum HP. The effect can accumulate up to 4 times, and occur no more than once every 0,1 sec. Normal attacks become much faster and inflict Hydro damage over an area. Charged and plunging attacks are blocked. If the E is used again during the active Takimeguri Kanka, all accumulated stacks are reset.
When activated on the ground, a large area is formed. Enemies within it are hit by Hydro Blades. At the same time, characters that are in the circle receive a bonus to normal attacks.
Skill features:
- The Ult has a snapshot mechanics, that is, if you apply it at the moment of the damage buff, the bonus will last until the end of the ult (for example, if you use the swordsman's ult a few seconds before the end of Bennett's ult, the buff will last until the end of Kamisato's heir's ult).
- Generates 36 hydro slams in an area during the ult, which are evenly distributed among the enemies. IMPORTANT! If you ult into the boss and they are the only opponent, they will have no more than 11 skill hits.
Passive Skills
When cooking a perfect dish, has an 18% chance to cook an additional Suspicious dish of the same type.
Kamisato Art: Kyouka gains the following properties:
- After use, the hero receives two stacks of the Namisen effect;
- After the water illusion explodes, the character gains the maximum Namisen level.
While out of combat, the character restores 2 energy every second. The effect occurs when his energy is below 40.
Talent Leveling Order
For a main DPS: We level the elemental skill and elemental burst side-by-side to level 6, since they are the main ones for damage. Then the E can be raised to level 8-9 and then the ult can be leveled up. Auto-attacks are practically not used, so they can be leveled to 6.
For a secondary DPS: We focus on the elemental burst, leveling it up to 8-9. The elemental skill is not used in this case, but it can be leveled up to level 6 for greater damage. We leave basic attacks unleveled.
Constellations
It should be noted that the elder Kamisato is a full-fledged hero even at C0. His constellations only serve to improve and slightly increase damage. However, they do not provide any other benefit or open up new gameplay that is impossible without const, as with many other legendary characters.
| number | Name | Effects |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kyouka Fuushi | Shunsuiken's damage is increased by 40% if the enemy has less than 50% health. |
| 2 | World Source | The maximum number of stacks during the Namisen effect increases to 5. With at least 3 stacks, the maximum HP is increased by 50%. |
| 3 | To Admire the Flowers | Lv. Kamisato Art: Kyouka +3 (Max 15) |
| 4 | Endless Flow | After casting Elemental Burst, all nearby party members' normal attack speed is increased by 15% for 15 seconds. |
| 5 | Bansui Ichiro | Lv. Kamisato Art: Suiyuu +3 (Max 15) |
| 6 | Boundless Origin | After using Kamisato Art: Kyouka, Ayato's next Shunsuiken attack will create 2 extra Shunsuiken strikes when they hit opponents, each one dealing 300% of Ayato's ATK as DMG. Both these Shunsuiken attacks will not be affected by Namisen. |
If you still plan to develop your swordsman to the maximum, let's briefly analyze the benefits of each constellation:
- C1: The effectiveness is highly situational, making it generally unreliable and insignificant. Overall DPS increase: 5%.
- C2: A strong const that increases the amount of Namisen levels and HP when at 3 or more levels, increasing overall damage and survivability. DPS increase over C1: 10,7% Overall increase: 16.3%.
- C3: is already strong simply because it gives levels to his main source of power. That being said, the increase in Namisen's HP-based level scaling means that this constellation actually improves his C2 as well. Overall, not a bad investment. DPS increase over C2: 18,8%. Overall increase: 38.1%.
- C4: Allows you to use 2 or 3 more Shunsuiken hits per skill. DPS increase over C3: 14,4% Cumulative increase: 58.0%.
- C5: Elemental Burst is not his main source of power, so the Const is ineffective. Of course, for a support DD position it will not be superfluous, but pulling for so many copies of the character to level up as a semi-support is not so practical. DPS increase compared to C4: 2,4% Total increase: 61.8%.
- C6: A significant increase in power, allowing you to deal more damage with your elemental skill. DPS increase over C5: 19,3%. Overall increase: 93.1%.
How to play Ayato

It is better not to use normal/charged attacks (out of stance), as it is more effective to give the time to another character while Ayato's abilities are on cooldown. Try to keep the elemental burst on the battlefield at all times, if you don't have enough energy, take a battery (a second Hydro or Raiden, Dori) or use artifacts with this stat.
Rotation
If the swordsman is the main DPS, he stays on the battlefield for a long time, using two skills per combo. In this playstyle, the main source of damage is Shunsuiken (converted normal attacks after using an elemental skill). The rotation in this case is as follows:
- Use support skills to increase DPS.
- Switch to the Hydro Swordsman and use his Elemental Burst (if available).
- Use elemental skill and attack opponents.
- Repeat everything from step 1.
As a sub-DPS who plays off his ultimate, the hero forgoes using his elemental skill during the elemental burst to take up less time in the arena. Instead, he benefits from Hydro AoE (area) applications from off-field. The rotation is:
- Use an elemental skill to build up energy (this step can be skipped if your ult is already ready).
- Use elemental burst and other supports' skills.
- Switch to your main DD and attack to get reactions.
Is The Character Worth Pulling?

Kamisato Ayato is a great damage dealer in Genshin Impact who can deal a lot of damage and create reactions both on the field and from the pocket, which makes him attractive to experienced players. Despite his unusual skills, the character is easy to learn and will suit beginners as well.

Guys, I want to knock out Nicole in 5.6, and then this guy from C2 with a signal. Will it be knocked down?
It's really weird that Lauma is in the guide, but Escoffier isn't. 🤷♀️ She does cut hydro resists, after all.
What's the best set for Ayato? Share who has the best damage and what set you use.
Is Ayato/Escoffier/Layla/Xingqiu a good team? Or should I use Barbara for healing instead of one of the last two? Kagotsurube Isshin is a good choice for Ayato, but if it's critical, maybe Black Sword is a good choice. In that case, Nymph's Dream or Heart of Depth would be a better choice for Ayato? I think both options are good, but maybe more experienced players will see a significant difference.
Preferably Furina. If not, then leave it as is. Escoffier herself heals, Barbara is not needed.
Is there any hope for a rerun at all?
I understand that the character is irrelevant, but you never know...
If only on the Inazuma Chronicles. They won't be around anytime soon.
