Alyosha in Genshin Impact: Best Build, Weapons, Artifacts, and Troops

How to build an Electro Hunter from Snezhnaya for the Star Guide and strengthen your squad.

Alyosha holds a rifle in Genshin Impact.

В Genshin Impact Rifleman Alyosha is a secondary damage dealer who also serves as a support. His gameplay revolves around applying Hunter's Mark, which buffs allies, and activating an elemental explosion that inflicts the Electro status on enemies and heals the team.

Although the young man can successfully play in any squad where the main damage dealer requires Electro for reactions and an attack damage buff, he performs best in groups with Star Conduit. However, he can't activate it himself, so he requires at least one squad member with Star Wedge.

This guide is based on information from an early beta test. It will be updated with the character's release.

Release Date

The hunter is expected in the first half the 7.0 update, which will last 12 from August to September 2 2026. Starting with patch 7.1, it will be able to drop from any banner, including the weapon one.

You will also receive one copy of the hero during the quest. "Merciless Frost" from the region's storyline.

Follow the banner schedule, so as not to miss the hero reruns.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The Hunter occupies a support position, providing support to allies in every possible way, but for maximum benefit, it requires careful selection of certain squads or the presence of all constellations, which significantly strengthen him.

Strengths Weaknesses
Increases Star Conductor's damage, attack power, and, with C6, elemental mastery, making it ideal support for this reaction. All buffs only affect the active character in the squad, which is why pocket sub-DDs will significantly decrease in total damage.
Good Electro applicator under reactions. The zone it creates attacks every 2 seconds, and Tugarin attacks again every 2 seconds, allowing the squad to receive a sufficient amount of status. Dependent on constellationsWithout C2, there's a 4-second window between the cooldown and the duration of the super ability, and without C6, it can't increase MS or double the effect of Accuracy.
Easy to build. All of the young man's buffs are fixed and independent of stats, except for healing, allowing him to focus solely on energy regeneration (due to his passive) and attack power when choosing artifacts. Other stats are needed depending on the situation. Despite being able to play in any team that requires an Electro Applicator, he performs best in groups with a Star Conductor, but even there he is replaced by legendary characters that strengthen the entire squad.
Can heal allies, freeing up a group slot for another sub-DD or buffer. Additionally, it draws enemy attention to the ultimate, giving squad members more security.

The Best Alyosha Builds in Genshin Impact

The young man combines the roles of secondary damage dealer and support. His ultimate applies a decent amount of Electro for reactions, distracts enemies, and heals the team. His main mechanic is Hunter's Mark, which, when applied, increases an ally's attack power and their Star Conductor damage if the Lodestar's Reach area is active.

Recommended Stats

Despite the ability to deal damage, the hunter is going to be completely in energy rechargeThis is due not only to its reliance on the superpower, but also to its passive, which increases skill damage based on the VE stat. To maximize the buff, you need to reach 200 %, so look for this stat in your watch and substats. Attack power is also important, as it affects the hero's healing. Alyosha has a standard God's Eye and can't hit with Star Conductor, so get a cup for Electro damage or ATK to maximize healing. Critical hits are worth getting if you need good damage from him in addition to the buffs.

  • Crit Rate and Crit DMG must be at least in a 1:2 ratio (e.g. 60% to 120%) if the hero is required to deal damage.

Among the equipment, it is better for him to choose options on energy rechargeto eliminate the ult's cooldown issues and increase its damage. Attack power options are also helpful if his healing abilities need to be improved.

Name Passive Recommendation
Engulfing Lightning
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat:
46-608
Energy recharge:
12%-55,1%
Increases ATK by 28%-56% from the VE indicator over 100%. The maximum bonus is 80%-120%. Also, after activating the ult, it increases VE by 30%-50% for 12 sec. The best 5⭐ option, providing a large amount of primary stats and a high base. Since the hero needs to be around 200% HE anyway, the spear's passive will be constantly active and provide additional attack power for healing and damage.
Skyward Spine
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat:
48-674
Energy recharge:
8%-36,8%
Increases Crit Rate by 8%-16% and normal attack speed by 12%. On hit with a normal or charged attack, there is a 50% chance to launch a blade that deals 40%-100% additional damage in a small radius every 2 sec. A budget option from the standard banner. Offers a high base damage output and a decent amount of VE. The passive is practically unnecessary, with the exception of the critical chance for elemental explosion hits.
Calamity Queller
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat:
49-741
ATK:
3,6%-16,5%
Increases any elemental damage by 12%-24%After activating E-Shki, it applies Enhancement for 20 sec., increasing ATK by 3,2%-6,4% per sec. The effect stacks up to 6 times and doubles if the wearer is not on the battlefield. Gear designed to maximize attack power. The hero is almost always in the "pocket," so he can benefit from the passive's double effect. When using this spear, you should pay more attention to energy regeneration in your artifacts.

CRIT DMG:

ATK is increased by 12%-24%When the carrier is inactive, the attack power is additionally increased by 12%-24%After the healing is performed, the equipped and healed characters even gain the Sweet Echo effect: their attack power increases by 32%-64% for 3 sec. The effect works even from the "pocket". Despite having K/U as its primary stat, the gear offers a large amount of ATK and also buffs an ally after healing. The hero can heal an active teammate, allowing them to maintain a constant buff. The drawback of the gear is the lack of energy regeneration, which must be replenished with artifacts.
Frost Breath

Energy recharge:
10%-45,9%
After activating Cryo or Hydro reactions, every 16 seconds the attack power increases by 20%-40% for 15 sec, and allies restore 6 energy each. A good spear from the Battle Pass that increases HE and ATK, but forces you to play with limited squads. It's best used in groups through the Star Conduit.

Increases the damage of the ult by 16%-32%, and its K/Sh is on 6%-12%. Can be obtained through fishingThe young man's main source of damage is his superpower, which this spear will enhance and allow him to activate elemental bursts more frequently thanks to his VE.

The wearer's ult damage is increased by 0,12%-0,24% for each point of max. energy of each member of the squad. Damage bonus cannot exceed 40%-80%. An alternative option for maximizing the damage output of the Hunter's ultimate ability. High base damage and additional ATK will increase its healing, but you'll need to pay more attention to the HE in your artifacts to maximize the youth's passive.

Suitable Artifacts

It's recommended to choose Alyosha's artifacts based on the benefits not only of himself but of the entire squad. Both support options for buffs and for dealing personal damage are suitable. Since most Hunter sets are already in the game, you can start artifact farming in advance to prepare for the hero's exit.

A 2+2 set for energy restoration to maximize this stat. Suitable for initial use until you get one of the full sets.

The new Star Reactions set is especially worth noting. It can be equipped to Alyosha if the following conditions are met:

Name Description Recommendation
A heart melted by the hearth
⭐⭐⭐⭐
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
2 Piece: Attack power increases by 18%.
4 Piece: When the wearer activates Star Conduit or Dispel, or deals damage through these reactions, their attack power is increased by 12%, and allies gain a 50% increase to Star Reaction damage for 12 seconds. This effect does not stack with similar effects on the team and works even when in a Pocket.
In groups, the Snowy Hero will be able to constantly trigger reactions and activate the set's effect. However, since the set can only be worn by one character per party, it will most often be worn by Odette. Giving it to a hunter is only worthwhile if the dancer isn't in the party.

Teams

Ideally, Alyosha's teams should be built around his Star Conductor reaction, which he can buff. However, if desired, he can be used as a regular Electro applicator for his ultimate with a small heal. Allies should also play around the attack power he increases with Hunter's Mark. With C6, he can also be used in MS-focused teams. He'll be of little use to HP-focused teams.

Please note that he himself cannot trigger Star Reactions, so you will need a hero with wedge (for example, Sandrone, Odetta or others).

Allies from Star Conductor and with better synergy

The Hunter works best with the following characters:

CharacterElementWeaponFeatures
SandroneCryoClaymoreThe Star Conductor's primary damage dealer, heavily dependent on support units. Requires stable Electro status and healing. He rarely leaves the battlefield, allowing him to constantly benefit from buffs.
OdetteCryoOne-handed swordDespite the fact that the dancer is almost always in the pocket and does not receive any buffs from the hunter, she is an indispensable companion in almost every group with him, since she not only provides her own buffs, but also converts reactions into the desired ones.
WriothesleyCryoCatalyst:An Electro damage dealer who can be played through Star Conduit with a Wedge ally, such as Odette, Sandrone, or Cryo GG. Hunter provides enough Electro to secure Risley's status.
CynoElectroPolearmUnlike Risley, Saino, especially with Signa, requires a lot of Elemental Mastery, so C6 Alyosha is a better choice for him, as well as a strong Cryo Applicator.
Yae MikoElectroCatalyst:The best Electro sub-DD for Star Reaction, provided there's a wedge on the team. If you use Hunter skills before her rotation, she'll receive a buff during her ability casts, increasing her damage.
QiqiCryoOne-handed swordShe plays a virtually identical role in a team with a young man, but her buffs extend to the entire group and are significantly higher. They can play alongside each other in a squad if no one else can fill the slot.
Cryo GGCryoOne-handed swordLike Sandrone, Cryo Traveler serves as the primary damage dealer in the squad and, since he himself wields a Blade, he can easily activate Hunter abilities.

As for other allies, Alyosha can play in any group that requires Electro, ATK boosts, MS, and healing, so he doesn't necessarily need to meet the Star Conductor requirement. However, with "regular" teammates, he can perform significantly worse than, for example, their signature supports.

Top Teams

He excels in Star Conduit-based squads, providing them with all the necessary buffs. He's not as effective in other squad types, as he provides less ATK than Bennett, Nicole, and other supports, only approaching them slightly at C6. However, he can still be used in any squad configuration as an alternative to signature supports.

Star Guide

Alyosha's commands through this reaction must include an ally with a wedge, since he himself cannot convert a regular Superconductor into it.

Diona
AlyoshaA budget alternative to the previous version, where Kitsune replaces Beidou at the sixth constellation. SandroneAlyoshaIf you don't have Odette on your account but want to utilize your old characters, you can add Sandrone to your group. She doesn't bring any utility other than wedge damage, but to compensate for the lost damage, it's advisable to reset her ultimate on cooldown.

AlyoshaSince Cryo Traveler can convert reactions, he can be used as the core of the group as a main damage dealer. Replacing Legendary sub-damage dealers with Epics will reduce the party's utility somewhat, but he will still be able to summon Star Conductor.

"Regular" commands

"Normal" refers to companions who lack the ability to trigger Star Reaction. In such groups, he serves as a solo-target ATK and MS buffer, Electro applicator, and healer. He only makes sense to use at C6.

Skills

Alyosha is a secondary damage dealer who primarily plays from the "pocket." He uses his E ability to apply Hunter's Mark to enemies, then summons his ultimate, which attacks enemies with Electro, heals allies, and activates Marks, increasing allies' ATK and increasing their Star Conductor damage if they have a Wedge hero in their team.

With the presence of constellations, the young man's gameplay is improved, as the delay between the end of the effect and the restoration of the superpower is shortened, and he begins to increase his mastery of the elements.

Basic (Active) Skills

The young man's skills offer allies a variety of support in the form of Electro status and additional damage from the pocket.

Swift Spear

  • Source of damage: ATK.

Normal attack: Performs up to four attacks, the last of which places the Hunter's Mark on enemies.

Charged attack: Dashes forward, spending stamina, attacking all enemies in its path at once.

During a falling attack, it drops to the ground and performs an area-of-effect attack.

Lightning Ambush

  • Source of damage: ATK.
  • Cooldown: 15 seconds

Applies Hunter's Mark for 15 seconds and performs the following actions depending on how the skill is pressed:

  • Fast: shoots in front of him and hits Electro in an area.
  • Long: Enters targeting mode and marks enemies ahead, then strikes the targeted enemies with Electro.

If Mark is applied again, it activates, transforming into Hunter's Mark. This effect increases the active character's attack power for 15 seconds.

Hunter's Advance

  • Source of damage: ATK.
  • Duration: 14 seconds
  • Cooldown: 18 seconds
  • Enegry consumption: 70.

Summons a dog and creates a special area that:

  • Provokes enemies to attack this area.
  • Deals Electro damage to an area inside it every 2 seconds.
  • Every 2 seconds, the Hound lunges at one enemy, activating an existing Mark or applying a new one, and triggers Hunter's Accuracy. Enemies with the Mark are prioritized.

Passive Skills

The hero's additional skills enhance his active abilities, allowing him to heal squad members and increase the Star Guide's damage.

Awakening the dormant forest

When his dog, Tugarin, hits enemies, the active character recovers HP equal to 120% of Alyosha's attack power.

Saying goodbye to winter wheat and fallen leaves

Increases damage of E-Shock and Ultimate abilities by 0,35% for every 1% of energy restored. Maximum buff is 70%.

Hurrying into dangerous lands

Radiance - Star Conduit: Hunter's Mark (activated mark) increases the damage of the active ally's Star Conduit by 20%.

Watching the treetops

Marks Snezhnaya's curiosities on the minimap.

Talent Leveling Order

Elemental Skill (E) > Elemental Burst (Q) > Normal Attacks (optional)

Priority for developing abilities:

  • Elemental Skill — used on cooldown to apply Hunter's Mark and then activate it. The ATK increase scale after activation is also specified in the skill, so it should be leveled up first to maximize the buffs.
  • Elemental Burst — the main source of Electro status for reactions and a convenient way to apply Marks. Upgrade it to the maximum after the skill if you want to increase the hero's damage.
  • With normal strikes The young man won't use them, so there's no point in wasting resources on them.

Constellations

Name Effects
1. Thunder in the Frosty Valley After nearby squad members activate Electro Reactions on an enemy, Alyosha restores 15 energy. This effect can occur once every 18 seconds.
2. Howl from afar The duration of Hunter's Offensive elemental burst is increased by 6 sec.
Additionally, before each of Tugarin's attacks, Hunter's Mark is applied to one target. This effect does not activate Hunter's Mark on a target that already has it.
3. Helping comrades Increases the Lightning Ambush skill level by 3.
Max. level: 15.
4. Catching prey When Tugarin attacks, the HP of the nearby party member with the lowest percentage is restored by 60% of Alyosha's attack power.
5. When the nightingales fell silent Increases Hunter's Offensive skill level by 3.
Max. level: 15.
6. Return of the banner Hunter's Accuracy gained from activating Hunter's Mark can now stack up to 2 times. When the stack reaches 2 levels, the active character's Elemental Mastery is also increased by 100.

Alyosha's best constellations are: С2, С3 и С6.

  • The second constellation Removes the large "window" between the ultimate's duration and cooldown, allowing it to be kept constantly active with sufficient VE. It also simplifies the Marking system, eliminating, for example, the need to bring a hero back onto the battlefield after an enemy's death.
  • The third one Increases the skill level by 3, thus increasing the final ATK increase from the Hunter's Accuracy effect.
  • The sixth constellation — is key for the young man, as it expands his support abilities by doubling his buffs and allows him to buff his allies' Elemental Mastery. Since he primarily plays in Star Conductor-based groups, MC is essential for increasing his damage output.

Additionally, it is worth considering С4, which will increase the group's survivability and will come in handy if there is no other strong healer in the squad.

How to play as Alyosha

Alyosha's abilities allow him to remain in the "pocket" for almost the entire battle, only emerging to activate them. However, they have several nuances that should be kept in mind. One such feature is the Hunter's Mark mechanic, which grants all the main buffs to the active character. There are several ways to apply them:

  • Final Strike of a Hand Attack combo - This method will not be used in rotations.
  • Elemental skill hit.
  • Tugarin's attacks are under the influence of an elemental blast if the enemy doesn't already have a Mark. With C2, he can apply a second Mark on top of the existing one.

If cast again, the effect changes to Hunter's Accuracy, which increases the ally's ATK and their Star Conductor damage. If C6 is present, the buffs are doubled and MS is added. Since the effect only affects the active characterIt makes sense to use the ability at the very beginning of the group's rotation, and then switch to squad members one by one, since some of them, even supports, have their own reaction damage. This works as long as the main damage rotation isn't too long. However, when playing against Saino, for example, it's better to use Alyosha's abilities right before him.

Thus, the entire gameplay for the young man comes down to accumulating the ult as quickly as possible with the help of E and allies, and then installing it and retreating back to the "pocket".

Rotation

Skill Order: E (elemental skill for applying Mark) > Q (elemental burst) > support and sub-DD abilities (in some cases used at the beginning of the rotation) > main-DD abilities.

Depending on the team composition, the order of actions may change. For example, if the damage dealer requires a short time on the field, and the sub-damage dealers can also hit with Star Conductor, it makes sense to use Alyosha's skills first. Conversely, if the main damage dealer has a long rotation, all buffs should be applied before him.

Approximate order of actions in battle:

  1. Start the battle with Alyosha's E-Shka. She will restore energy and place one Mark on enemies.
  2. If your ultimate is ready, activate it. If not, continue building it up, for example, by using the abilities of other supports and sub-DDs.
  3. While the ultimate is active for 18 seconds, switch to squad members who are using Star Conduit and use their abilities.
  4. When all buffs are active, rotate your main damage dealer.
  5. Repeat as your ult cooldown wears off.

Conclusion

The Snezhnaya Hunter is a convenient support character for Star Conductor-based teams. He can provide such groups with ample Electro status, essential stats, and a boost to his reaction. Despite his connection to the new Cryo-Electro synergy, he can also find a place in older teams, filling the sub-DD slot with some support. However, for an epic hero, he's quite expensive, requiring a sixth constellation. Even with that, he struggles to compete with older ATK supports, making him only a temporary alternative and a prisoner of Snezhnaya-based teams.

Character biography, trailers, and lore

Alyosha is an experienced hunter from the border village of Snezhnaya. A keen marksman, he always carries a rifle, which, according to local rumors, was created by the Armory. The young man constantly risks his life, leaving his home and venturing into the frozen wilderness to hunt for prey to provide food for the village. He also hunts hares.

So, guys? Bobik is dead. He was nerfed during the last PTS, and now he only buffs the active character, making him practically useless without C6, but even with C6 he's slightly weaker than C0 Coffee.

Under what constellation is Leshka better than C6 Chicha? Or is it better not to bother with it at all when C6 Chicha is available?

You don't have to worry about it, but only if it doesn't get upgraded on the last PTS, which is very unlikely.

Of all the supports, the only one I don't have is Yae Miko. I'm not guaranteed to get Odette; I'll have about 90 spins by the time the banner arrives, but there's no guarantee. What's the best squad for Sandrone? Sandrone, Beidou, Qiqi, Alesha (unknown cons) or Sandrone, Qiqi, Alesha, and Escoffier?

Yes, test it in the astral realm to see which one is better, but you'll probably want either Sandrone, Qiqi, Beidou, Alyosha or Sandrone, Escoffier, Qiqi, Alyosha.

It's funny, Raiden isn't particularly relevant or in demand even on C2 (though, of course, she's not useless), but her signal is still top 1 on all support platforms without exception.
It's a shame that starting with the Natlan characters, who had their own 5* support signs, and further on you can't say that anymore, the character will retire, and with him his narrowly focused sign
I think when Inazuma Chronicles is reran, I'll knock out Mist so I can put it on any damage dealer instead of the r5 BP Fang.

It seems like she (Ryden) will be buffed along with the U-class players.

Author, above the ability description you stated that “Marks, increasing the ATK of allies and increasing their damage to the Star Conductor" but the abilities themselves don't say anything about increasing the attack power of allies, only about +25% to the star conductor when the character is in the state of radiance, or do they replace each other when the character is in this state and not, or does it not increase attack power at all, or you don't know by how much %?

They wrote about Risley that it's an electro damage dealer. Is that a typo?
