Archer in HSR is a damage dealer of the Path of the Hunt with the quantum element, which was added to the game as part of the Fate/stay night colaboration. He is a standard representative of his path: he focuses on dealing high damage to large single targets, and the list of his active skills consists of a powerful attack and ult, as well as no less devastating bonus attacks.
The unique feature of the character is the ability to use the skill up to 5 times: the skill can be activated while the "Circuit Connection" state is active and there are action points. The DPS multiplier, in turn, increases within the first two activations and is maintained until the end of the turn, which turns the unit into an excellent hyper-carry, capable of competing with heroes with greater AoE potential.
However, in contrast, for maximum combat effectiveness, it requires third-party investments: we are talking not so much about equipment, but about the heroes of Harmony, who are able to expand the number of skill points, as well as actively restore them during the battle. This and many other points will be taken into account when compiling a build, which will be discussed later.

How to Get the Character
There are two ways to expand your account's collection of heroes with a new representative of the Hunt.
Event Warp: I Am the Bone of My Sword

Archer and his eidolons can be obtained in the "Event Warp: Character" called I Am the Bone of My Sword. Launch date is July 11, 2025; how long will it last, is currently unknown (general assumption - until the end of version 3.6).
Free as part of the collaboration

In addition, during the collaboration event with Fate/stay night, every Trailblazer of the Trailblazing level 3 or higher will be able to receive Archer for free. A window with a character reward will appear automatically after logging in to your account.
Additionally, the hero will be supplied with materials to upgrade him up to level 60.
Strengths and Weaknesses

Let's consider the main positive and negative sides of the hero:
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| High single-target damage, resulting in fast progress through content that offers large solo targets for battle. | Lack of mass damage, which leads to low demand in AoE content such as "Pure fiction". |
| The ability to use the skill up to 5 times and the presence of bonus attack mechanics also allows you to deal with waves of small enemies quite well (however, it is still worse when compared to heroes more suitable for this role). | High consumption of skill points and the forced need to monitor their total number during the battle. |
| Increases personal damage during battle due to the multiplier invested in the "Circuit Connection" status. | Demanding on signature representatives of Harmony, in particular Sparkle, for the full implementation of DPS potential. |
| Is not at all demanding in terms of signature weapons due to the presence of alternative equipment among the light cones with acceptable bonuses. |
Best Archer Builds in Honkai: Star Rail

Being a hyper-carry that relies on standard combat stats, the character requires the following investments:
- CRIT DMG и CRIT Rate — basic stats aimed at increasing damage;
- quantum damage bonus - the character's damage type, which similarly affects DPS;
- ATK — an indicator with which all the young man’s abilities are scaling.
Archer's build in HSR is aimed at increasing the stats considered. The selection of equipment, in turn, should move away from effects that are beneficial for the Heroic Spirit, in particular those that affect the overall outgoing damage and/or skill damage (+ superpowers and bonus attacks).
Recommended Stats
Priority of primary stats in cavern relics and planar ornaments:
| Head | HP (fixed) |
| Hands | Attack Power (fixed) |
| Body | CRIT Rate (priority) |
| Boots | Speed or ATK - depends on the supports in the squad |
| Planar Sphere | Quantum damage bonus (priority) or attack power |
| Link Rope | ATK |
Among the secondary characteristics, priority is the following:
CRIT Rate ≥ CRIT DMG > ATK
Recommended values for level 80
Upon reaching the maximum stage of ascension and with full equipment, the main combat parameters should be close to the following values:
- ATK - 2600-2800
- CRIT Rate — 60-80% (100% in battle)
- CRIT DMG — 140-180% or higher
- speed - basic (with a hyper-carry support that is able to advance action), or 134/135 (1 point more than the speed of the support advancing action)
Light Cone Rating
When choosing the light cone "cards", it is important that they belong to the Path of the Hunt, otherwise the hero will not be able to use the main effect. When considering built-in bonuses, priority should be given to:
| Light cone | Effect | Recommendation |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 26-582 DEF 24-529 |
Critical chance increases 16-32%. If the max skill points at the start of the battle are greater than or equal to 6, ATK gets an additional bonus of 40-80%. During battle, after using the skill, the owner's attack power increases by an additional amount. 10-20%. This effect can stack up to 4 times. |
Archer's signature, offering high increases to Crit Rate and ATK, with which skill damage is scaled. Significantly strengthens the character and allows you to concentrate on gaining no less important characteristics, such as crit. damage. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP: 43-952 Attack Power: 26-582 Defense: 24-529 |
CRIT damage increases by 20-32%For each debuff an enemy has, critical damage dealt to that target is increased by an additional amount. 8-12%. This effect can stack up to 3 times. Using a super ability to attack applies the Disputation status to the owner, which increases the DPS dealt by 36-60% and allows the bonus attack to ignore 24% of enemy defense. This effect lasts for 2 turns. |
A legendary option that can be obtained from the limited Warp. Affects the increase of crit and total damage dealt (the latter bonus is cumulative + increased by the buff after using the ult). When equipping, the rotation should be based on a combination of the super ability and the skill. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP: 43-952 Attack Power: 24-529 Defense: 21-463 |
Crit chance increases by 8-16%. Critical chance against enemies with HP below or equal to 50% is additionally increased by 8-16%When the owner defeats an enemy, his attack power gains a boost of 20-40% for 2 turns. | Free option from Herta's shop, which will be especially effective if you fight against one large target and a couple of "small" ones - the latter is necessary to maintain the buff for additional attack power. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 24-529 DEF 18-396 |
Increases the wearer's critical damage by 24-40%, as well as skill damage and attack bonus on 24-40%. | A variant that increases both critical damage and damage from the skill and bonus attack, often scrolling in rotation. In terms of efficiency, it can be compared to a signature weapon on S1, at lvl 5 of Superimposition will partly surpass it due to a pure increase in DPS in the form of 40%. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 |
When the owner attacks the same enemy multiple times, the damage they deal increases by 8-16%. This effect can stack up to 5 times. This effect is removed when the owner changes their target. | One of the best Path of the Hunt light cones, offering 40-80% net damage boost. The downside is that the weapon is only useful in a narrow range of activities, as it forces you to focus your DPS on a single target to get the passive to work properly. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 |
ATK is increased by 12-20%. When the owner makes a critical hit on an enemy, he gains 1 level of the "Good Fortune" status, which can be stacked up to 4 times. Each existing level of the "Good Fortune" status increases his critical damage by 8-12%. The "Good Fortune" status is removed at the end of the owner's turn. | A good alternative with the "Good Fortune" status. Considering the skill's peculiarity, which allows the ability to be used up to 5 times within one turn, it will allow the hero to accelerate DPS well due to the high increase in crit. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 |
ATK is increased by 16-32%. If there are 2 or less enemies on the battlefield, the critical chance increases by 12-24%. | An epic "first-time" option that works well against single opponents, since the ATK is supplemented by a Crit Rate increase. |
Additionally you can consider:
- I Venture Forth to Hunt (Legendary) - Increases the effectiveness of the super ability, which can be especially useful if the character has a fourth const. In this case, it is recommended to take a support that restores energy into the squad in order to use the ultimate more often.
- Sleep Like the Dead и In the Night (legendary) - good equipment options, but with slightly less stable effects, for the maintenance of which it is important to take into account third-party nuances.
- River Flows in Spring (Epic) - An epic quality alternative that increases speed and outgoing DPS, but forces a careful combat style (or having a Preservation representative in the party).
- Return to Darkness и Subscribe for More! (epic) - less stable options, but can be equipped if there are no other cones.
What relics and ornaments are needed
Among the gear, the most significant sets are those that offer a boost to offensive stats and increase the DPS of core skills that are often used in rotation.
Cavern relics
The following sets of artifacts are considered satisfactory:
| Set and its effects | Recommendation |
![]() 2 parts: crit chance +8%. |
One of the best sets for the archer warrior, as it increases the damage of the main skill in the rotation. The additional increase in crit. chance, in turn, will simplify the balance of stats. |
![]() 2 parts: quantum damage +10%. |
No less attractive equipment option. In certain situations it will be extremely effective, as it allows you to ignore the defense of opponents (+ to ignore, if the opponent has quantum vulnerability). The second part of the bonus, however, is easy to activate if you have Silver Wolf (Nihility: Quantum) in a squad, or through the second eidolon. |
Alternative options:
- Poet of Mourning Collapse — despite the fact that the character is unable to get a 32% increase to crit. chance, he will still be happy to have +20% to the named characteristic, since he really appreciates its acceleration. At the same time, the loss of speed will not be particularly noticeable if the young man cooperates with his signature support Sparkle.
- «Wavestrider Captain - a more versatile option that will force you to be more careful when going through your rotation due to the 48% ATK bonus for 1 turn after using the super ability.
Additionally, you can equip set mixes of 2 × 2, offering boosts to important offensive stats (e.g. elemental boost + ATK boost). This will be effective if good full sets are lacking.
Planar ornaments
Among planar ornaments, the following sets should be considered first:
| Set and its effects | Recommendation |
![]() 2 parts: Crit. chance +8%. If the owner's Crit. chance is not less than 70%, the damage dealt by basic attack and skill increases by 20%. |
A good option that allows you to deal increased damage while using the skill. The only problem is that for the set to work effectively, it is extremely important to have 70% or more critical chance (the process is made easier if the signature is equipped). |
![]() 2 parts: Attack Power +12%. If there is at least one ally on the same Path as the owner at the start of combat, the latter's Critical Chance is increased by 12%. |
An alternative that will work if there is a +1 Hunt character in the team. The best companion from the budget options is March 7 (Hunt: Imaginary) or Moze (Hunt: Electo)It is better to choose the Nameless girl, since she is easier to master. |
![]() 2 parts: Attack Power +12%. If the owner's Speed is greater than or equal to 135/160, the damage dealt is increased by 12/18%. |
Affects the hero's overall damage, but in return requires additional investment in the "speed" stat. You can reach 135 without any problems, but 160 is a luxury for which you will have to take into account third-party factors, including certain representatives of Harmony in the squad. Note: having Sparkle (Harmony: Quantum) with a high energy recovery rate to generate skill points on a continuous basis is a must. |
Archer Team Guide in HSR
Archer is a first position character who benefits the most if he is the only DPS hero in the squad (with rare exceptions, units for the secondary damage dealer position are possible). Given the general "gluttony" of the young man, it is extremely important for him to have supports capable of restoring skill points or increasing their total number.
Try to have Harmony Characters equipped with specific Light Cones, such as A Grounded Ascent and But the Battle Isn't Over (their signature owners will also be good), since they directly affect the speed of recovery of action points during combat.
Which characters are suitable?
In the team, Archer plays the role of a hyper-carry, therefore, squads are built around him, and the most priority allies are the supports:
| Character | Features |
![]() |
Perfect Harmony for Archer, which has a number of significant advantages: she expands the pool of skill points and restores them during battle, increases Crit DMG, advances action by 50%, and also increases the amounts of damage dealt. |
![]() |
Solo-target support with the Burden status, which restores Action Points and increases DPS incoming to the enemy affected by the named effect. The ultimate gives an increase to ATK and speed. |
![]() |
Applies one of the types of random bugs to enemies that reduce speed, defense, or attack power. Additionally, the skill provokes the appearance of a new vulnerability - this can be useful for the Heroic Spirit. The ultimate has AoE potential and again cuts defense. |
![]() |
An epic debuffer that ranks high on the tier list due to its universal bonus for all damage dealers - a massive defense cut. It is collected through "speed" and "chance to hit effects" for constant spam of basic attacks and support of the negative bonus from the ult. |
![]() |
A bright representative of Harmony, which is well appreciated by many characters, including those who do not have the mechanics of memosprites/summoned creatures in the skill set. Advances the action, restores energy, increases crits and outgoing damage. |
![]() |
Similar to Sparkle, advances action, yet by 100% at once. Extremely expensive in terms of skill points, but in return she is able to offer increases to important combat characteristics. |
![]() |
Increases the effectiveness and grants break effect, as well as penetration of all types of resistance. Significantly increases the overall outgoing damage from active skills and has some effect on the speed of party members. |
![]() |
Offers an increase in attack power and damage, additionally supports with personal electric jabs. The super ability pours energy into the bar, which, in turn, will allow the Heroic Spirit to use the ult more often. |
![]() |
A support with high AoE potential. Affects the penetration of all types of resistance similar to the scientist Ruan Mei, in addition increasing the overall damage. Extremely versatile, since it acts as both a support and a secondary DPS unit. |
![]() |
A good variant of Harmony, which focuses on the distribution of mass positive effects. In particular, it increases ATK, all outgoing DPS, and also crit. damage of bonus hits. The Ultimate promotes the action of the entire team - in cooperation with the Servant, it is important to use this feature more thoughtfully. |
![]() |
A True Damage Type support that increases the entire squad's Crit DMG and also advances the target ally's action once Memo reaches 100% charge. |
| A secondary DPS unit with debuffering functions. In particular, it significantly increases damage dealt to targets due to the third talent in the Traces tree. | |
![]() |
A F2P variant of a damage dealer that turns a target ally into a Master. In the case of Archer, it activates the following effect - deals additional damage of a type similar to the Master, equal to 10-25% of the Nameless' ATK. |
![]() |
Sub-DPS with bonus attacks that marks the enemy target as Prey. As long as there is an enemy with the Prey status on the battlefield, Moze enters the Departed state, where he begins to attack with attacks outside of his main turn. |
Any healer or shielder can be considered as a sustainer - the main thing is that they should rarely consume action points.
Best team samples
Taking into account the character's role, build a group for him according to the following principle:
- The main DPS representative is Archer.
- SUB-DPS or support (buffer/debuffer).
- First or second support (buffer/debuffer).
- Sustain (healer/shielder).
The most attractive examples of squads:
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | A balanced squad with stable sustain, an excellent buffer, and an equally attractive debuffer capable of dealing additional damage. The presence of the Silver Wolf will open up the possibility of hanging a quantum vulnerability if the enemy does not have one. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | An additional option for a team focused on fully supporting the Servant. The double action advancement will allow the hyper-carry to deal the highest percentage of damage (especially if combined correctly with Sparkle's ultimate). Having Resurrection will help activate the super ability more often. Hyacine, in turn, will enhance the AoE potential of the group due to Iki's skill, which deals high area damage. In the absence of a healer, you can take Luocha, who is economical with action points. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | "Gluttonous" squad due to Bronya, which really wants to maintain skill bonuses on the main damage dealer. For this reason, support, which rarely uses skill points, is recommended for the third and fourth slots. Considering that the Heroic Spirit can perform bonus attacks, Robin will be a good option for a second support, as the trace increases the critical damage of bonus attacks. As a replacement, Ruan Mei or Tribbie are used. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | An additional variant of the group, tied to the frequent activation of superpowers. It is for this reason that heroes capable of actively filling the bar:
|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | F2P variant of the group, where Hanya is responsible for restoring action points thanks to the "Burden" status, which is maintained on enemies. Pela will lower defenses, the rest of the time she will use a basic attack. Tingyun will also switch to using b/a after using the skill. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | Additionally, the Servant can be strengthened by cooperating with a secondary damage dealer such as March 7 (Hunt) or Moze — the units will be able to support the main DPS representative with third-party damage. Hanya is used as a support again. Pela can be replaced in a speed build for frequent spam of b/a and ult. |

How Archer's Skills Work

The Heroic Spirit is a standard representative of the Hunt, meaning his attacks are aimed at dealing quantum damage to single targets. His uniqueness lies in his skill, which consumes a huge amount of skill points, in exchange for offering alternate use up to 5 times without terminating the turn. The overall outgoing DPS can also be impressive, given the additional multiplier effect, which can be stacked twice (three times with the sixth eidolon).
In addition, the skill set includes a bonus attack mechanic: when a sufficient number of charges are accumulated and certain actions are performed by allies, the Servant performs a strike out of his turn, the damage is concentrated on the target initially chosen by the ally.
Active skills
The main abilities of the character are aimed at increasing the DPS potential of the hero, as well as the constant accumulation of charges for comfortable implementation of bonus attacks. Damage is scaled by attack power (ATK).
Clairvoyance || AoE and Accumulation
Instantly attacks the enemy target. After the battle starts, deals quantum damage to all enemies (200%) and gains 1 charge.
Kanshou and Bakuya || Single Target
Deals quantum DPS to a target enemy (50-130%).
Caladbolg II: Fake Spiral Sword || Single Target and Enhance
Deals quantum damage to a target enemy (180-450%), and also goes into the state of "Circuit Connection".
While the "Circuit Connection" state is active:
- Heroic Spirit's turn does not end after activating the skill;
- the damage dealt by the skill is increased by 60-120% - this effect can be stacked up to 2 times;
- in total the skill can be used up to 5 times, each use costs 1 action point.
Archer exits the Circuit Connection state in three cases:
- first - if the skill was activated 5 times;
- second - if he runs out of skill points;
- third - if the entire wave of opponents opposing the Servant dies.
When the hero exits the Circuit Connection state, his turn ends and the action moves to another ally/enemy in the battle cycle.
Unlimited Blade Works || Single Target and Accumulation ||Energy requirement: 220
Deals quantum damage to the target enemy (600-1200%) and receives 2 charges (max. - 4).
Passive Skills
Archer's talent is aimed at revealing the Servant as a character who owns the mechanics of bonus attacks. However, this does not mean that the Heroic Spirit can act as a secondary damage dealer, playing only from additional hits. The main role of Archer is a hyper-carry actively using the skill.
Mind's Eye (True) || Bonus Attack and Recovery
When an ally attacks an enemy target, the character spends 1 charge and performs a quantum bonus attack (100-250%) on the same target as the ally. If the enemy was defeated before the attack was activated, the skill is directed at a random target.
After a hit, 1 action point is restored.
Leveling Order
When starting to upgrade the hero by increasing skill levels, it is recommended to adhere to the following order:
Skill ≥ ult > talent > basic attack
- Skill is the main source of damage.
- Ultimate deals additional DPS and is capable of causing significant damage to a large single enemy.
- Talent is a source of strikes out of general action sequence (bonus attacks).
B/a is not a priority ability and is rarely used in rotation (ideally, reduce its use to zero), so it is not necessary to spend resources on max. skill level, especially if the account is limited in consumable materials.
Traces
Fully exploring the talent tree allows you to gain increases to the following combat characteristics:
- crit chance - + 6.7 %
- quantum damage bonus - + 22.4 %
- attack power - + 18 %
| Quantum damage bonus +3.2% (lvl 1) | |||
| Projection Magecraft (A2): While the Archer Warrior is on the battlefield, the max skill points are increased by 2. | Attack Power +4% (A2) | Quantum damage bonus +3.2% (A3) | Crit chance +2.7% (A3) |
| Hero of Justice (A4): When the Servant enters battle, he gains 1 charge. | Quantum damage bonus +4.8% (A4) | Attack Power +6% (A5) | Quantum damage bonus +4.8% (A5) |
| Guardian (A6): After allies gain skill points, if the total number of skill points is 4 or more, the Heroic Spirit's critical damage is increased by 120% for 1 turn. | Crit chance +4% (A6) | ||
| Attack Power +8% (lvl 75) | Quantum damage bonus +6.4% (lvl 80) |
Eidolons
Archer's best eidolons are the first, second and sixth ones:
- E1 - significantly simplifies going through rotation due to additional skill point recovery.
- E2 - increases combat effectiveness by applying a debuff that reduces quantum resistance. This will be especially effective if you equip the signature relic set for quantum damage dealers, Genius of Brilliant Stars.
- E6 — a character's peak power that offers a variety of side bonuses that can both simplify rotations and increase outgoing DPS.
As a F2P player, if you plan on pulling for copies of the character, it is recommended to stop at the second eidolon.
| E1: The Unreached Dream | After the third use of the skill in one turn, restores 2 action points. |
| E2: The Unfulfilled Happiness | After activating the super ability, reduces the target's quantum resistance by 20% and also applies quantum vulnerability that lasts for 2 turns. |
| E3: The Untamed Will |
|
| E4: The Unsung Life | Increases super ability damage by 150%. |
| E5: The Nameless Watch |
|
| E6: The Endless Pilgrimage | At the start of the turn, immediately restores 1 Action Point. The max level of the damage increase effect described in the character's skill increases by 1. Allows the skill to ignore 20% of the enemy target's defense. |
How to Play Archer in HSR

Being a character who relies on the skill, in turn-based battles Archer forces you to monitor the total number of action points so that the unit's combat effectiveness does not drop:
- The standard amount is 5, but a fully upgraded hero talent tree increases them to 7;
- if you also have Sparkle (Harmony: Quantum) , the count icnreases to 9 thanks to talent "Red Herring".
It is desirable that during the turn the Servant consistently activates the skill up to 3/4 times (for more damage, ideally 5). To do this, at the time of his action:
- first, the unit should have all the positive effects of the supports;
- second, the total number of skill points available for consumption should be 3/4 to deal acceptable damage with the skill, 5/6 to allocate some to the skill (several times in a row), and the other part to subsequently activate the abilities of allies.
Cooperation with the Sparkle the Fool can greatly simplify gaining such an important resource, since the girl knows how to restore them. In her absence, you can use the help of Hanya the Judge, playing with the status of "Burden".
In addition, the implementation of bonus attacks of the Heroic Spirit is considered important in the process of combat, which consume special charges (max. amount - 4), in exchange for restoring skill points (1 bonus attack = 1 action point). Their accumulation is affected by:
- technique - +1 at the beginning of the fight;
- trace - +1 when entering into battle;
- superpower - +2 after each use.
As a result, at the start of the battle, the hero can have 2 charges, and each use of the ultimate offers 2 more. Bonus attack charges are spent when an ally hits an enemy. The skill target is the same as the ally's (or random if the original one died).

Taking into account all of the above, Archer's rotation is built on the following principle:
- Use the technique to deal AoE damage when entering combat and gain a charge.
- Keep track of the total number of Action Points available for use and plan your allies' moves ahead.
- Without cooperation with signature supports, sometimes you will have to sacrifice 4/5 of the skill usage. In this case, during the Heroic Spirit's turn, you can only use the skill 3 times: the first and second will deal damage and bring you to the max. damage multiplier from the Circuit Connection state, and the third will offer max. damage (under a fully stacked buff).
- If the total amount of skill points is maxed out and there are heroes in the squad who actively restore this resource, do not neglect the 4th or even 5th hit. The main thing, again, is to be able to subsequently activate the necessary skills of allies so as not to lose positive bonuses and/or heal in time or renew a powerful shield.
- Use the superpower when ready to deal devastating damage. Additionally, the ultimate will offer 2 charges - in the battle, this is the only available source for the resource that affects the execution of strikes outside the turn (from the talent).
Is Archer worth pulling for?

Archer follows the Path of the Hunt and is able to deal massive damage to a solo target. Thanks to the skill set features that allow the young man to use the skill up to 5 times in a row, the warrior archer is significantly superior to other heroes of his specialization. However, in return, he is an extremely "gluttonous" unit for action points.
Therefore, for the Heroic Spirit to fully develop in the hyper-carry position, it is extremely important to have a general boost through:
- full upgrade of tracks to increase the number of skill points to 7;
- signature supports that can restore skill points and/or expand their number (legendary support option - Sparkle, epic - Hanya);
- Eidolons that also affect resource recovery.
Signature weapon is not required for the Servant, but the above positions can make the character an extremely unfriendly unit for newcomers and F2P accounts.
Which is better: signature or E1
The first eidolon makes the rotation much easier to go through, and there are plenty of equally attractive alternatives among the light cones. Accordingly, when choosing between the signature weapon and E1, it is worth giving priority to the second option.
It is important to note that as of version 3.4, the light cone The Hell Where Ideals Burn can be obtained for free by investing 200 Special Star Passes into any Event Warp (character or light cone) during the update. Notable clarification: Standard Warp and Beginner's Warp are not included in this promotion.
