Aino in Genshin Impact: Build and Teams Guide

Guide to the owner of the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop : how to make a girl a powerful support for Lunar teams.

Mechanic Aino

In Genshin impact, Mechanic Aino is an epic Hydro two-handed sword aimed at enhancing reactions. The heroine combines the ability to impose Hydro status and a buff on new game reactions, but to extract full benefit from it, several conditions must be met.

The heroine's gameplay is rooted in her passive abilities, which enhance Lunar Reactions and Elemental Bursts. Her Ultimate attacks mobs in her area with Hydro projectiles. In the upcoming region, Aino will be an indispensable member of a team with sought-after companions like Flins, Nefer, and Zibai.

How to Get the Character

Since patch 6.1, the heroine was added to the standard banner and can drop randomly at any time. Aino's last rerun with increased drop rates took place in the second half of the 6.3 version, 3 to 24 February, 2026.

Also the mechanic girl is given out for free as you progress through the quest "A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves".

Strengths and Weaknesses

Aino looks at the sleeve of the sweater of the raised hand

The heroine is designed to play through Lunar Reactions, although she can't create them without assistance. She takes the Hydro ally position and enhances elemental interactions. However, her status is sometimes insufficient, and the main buff for allies is contained in constants, not their initial skills.

Strengths Weaknesses
Buffs Lunar Reactions. A support for Lunar-Charged, Lunar-Bloom, and Lunar Crystallize, which provides a bonus to reaction damage on constellations. Only fully revealed with Nod-Krai characters. Due to the Moonsign system and the very nature of the companion, there is no point in adding her to groups with heroes from other regions. With other Nod-kraevtsy, the girl's ult area becomes larger and her attacks become more frequent.
Easy to build.. Collected exclusively in Elemental Mastery, which simplifies the balance of characteristics on artifacts. Minor personal damage. She has extremely low percentages on her ultimate, which is her main source of damage. Building it in Elemental mastery increases the possible damage, but not significantly.
Source of Hydro status. Acts as a Hydro Applicator that can be used in the game through different reactions and concepts Dependence on C6. The full potential of the support is revealed only at the sixth constellation due to the increase in damage of reactions, which the heroine is focused on.
Raises the level of the Moonsign. By being present in the squad, it increases the number of local resonance, which is critical for characters who need to have all two Moon signs. Binding to a strict area in combat. The ult only works at a specific location and does not follow the character. Because of this, it is necessary to control the enemy's position and take into account his mobility when activating the elemental burst.
Carrier of a useful set. As a buffer, the heroine does not need high crit rates and increased personal damage. Depending on the allies she interacts with, the build may change, but for her, as for any support, it is important to pour additional stats into the squad.

Best Aino Builds in Genshin Impact

Aino lifts his leg while standing above the roof of the workshop

Aino is a support responsible for applying elemental status. She must create conditions for Lunar-Bloom, Charge, and other reactions of this type, as well as strengthen them. The heroine does not spend much time on the battlefield and appears only to give up buttons and go back into the pocket. Against this background, it is extremely important for her to ult on cooldown, which means it is necessary to have either enough ER on the girl herself, or be in a team where this is not a problem due to the weapons of other companions or resonance.

Recommended Stats

Elemental Mastery is the most important stat. It increases the damage of the elemental burst and provides additional buffs. The second important stat is energy recovery, which should cover the heroine's needs and create conditions for the ult on cooldown.

She has virtually no Hydro damage of her own, so equipping her with a goblet for elemental damage is pointless, and it's better to opt for the Elemental mastery. The same applies to the clock and circlet. The ER damage can be covered with substats, without dedicating an entire artifact to it. However, in the rare cases where she wields the Favonium, it's necessary to increase her critical hit chance to activate the sword's passive.

Main Stat: MC or crit chance

Minor Characteristics:

Recommended values:

  • Energy Regeneration: If the mechanic is the only Hydro in the party, energy regeneration will need to be at least 200%. If the party has Resonance and Favonius gear, it can be reduced to 170%.
  • Elemental Mastery: 700 and above. There's no limit to how much damage Mastery increases with Ultimate, so you can get as much as you can.

She doesn't need a crit chance or Crit DMG due to her low damage output. Furthermore, in most teams, the Lunar-Charged formula will consider her a third or fourth hero, which only counts for 5%, so even a crit build won't significantly impact her Cloud damage numbers.

Weapon Selection

Since Aino needs to be collected mostly in Elemental mastery, weapons should be selected based on the situation on a specific account. Claymores for energy restoration or elemental mastery, which can cover stat needs, are best suited for her. However, it is important to consider the situation in the team in which the girl plays and choose the optimal solution that maximizes not only the personal characteristics of the mechanics, but also benefits the team.

Conventionally, the equipment for the heroine can be divided into two categories:

  • general orientation;
  • specialized.

General purpose weapons often take into account personal characteristics and can be implemented in any team, while specialized ones are suitable for teams with a specific reaction or with damage dealers working from a specific stat. In addition, you can highlight weapons that are simply suitable for the first time, until more successful options appear.

Name Passive Recommendation
Flame-Forged Illumination
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat::
42-510
Elemental Mastery:
36-165
Activating reactions Charged, Lunar-Charged or Bloom restores 12/15/18/21/24 energy and for the next 15 sec increases elemental mastery by 60/75/90/105/120 unit. The effect can occur once every 15 sec and works even when the wearer is not on the battlefield. The event claymore is well suited in terms of the passive effect. The mechanic feels good only in teams with reactions described in the sword's passive, so there will be no problems with its activation. However, for more comfortable gameplay, you will have to get some ER in the artifact substats.
Master Key
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat::
41-454
Energy recharge:
13.3%-61.3%
For 12 sec after activating an Elemental Reaction, Elemental Mastery is increased by 60/75/90/105/120. Moonsign - Ascendant Gleam: This effect additionally increases Elemental Mastery by 60/75/90/105/120 unit This effect is triggered even when the equipped character is not on the battlefield. The Craft Master Key is the best available solution. It contains all the necessary characteristics, which are further enhanced when playing with Nod-Krai characters. Due to its availability and versatility, the equipment is easy to awaken, and it is suitable for any concept of play. But it is important to understand that this weapon is aimed at the personal characteristics of the baby, and does not give any bonus to her partners.
Makhaira Aquamarine
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat::
42-510
Elemental Mastery:
36-165
The attack power of the weapon owner increases by 24/30/36/42/48% from the Elemental Mastery score. The effect also applies to other party members, but in the amount 30 % from the full increase. If other party members also have this weapon, the effect is cumulative. This effect works even if the equipped character is not on the battlefield. In teams where allies play from the attack power, the Twilight Claymore is a better solution than the Master Key. Unlike the more universal craft, which strengthens the girl herself, Makhaira's Aquamarine fills the stats of companions. At the same time, the sword has no restrictions on the amount of Elemental mastery, which allows you to squeeze out a solid increase in the damage of the heroine's ult, and at the same time give something to the team. The claymore shows itself especially well in teams with Flins and Ineffa.
Favonius Greatsword
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat::
41-454
Energy recharge:
13,3-61,3%
Critical attacks with a chance of 60/70/80/90/100% can create elemental particles that restore 6 units of energy. The effect occurs once every 12/10.5/9/7.5/6 seconds. A good option that gives a lot of energy to the heroine herself and her teammates. At the same time, in a team through the Lunar-Charged, the need to increase Crit Rate to implement the passive does not critically affect the overall picture due to the fact that the reaction damage is calculated from the characteristics of all participants.
Mailed Flower
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat::
44-565
Elemental Mastery:
24-110
For 8 seconds after being hit by an elemental skill or triggering a reaction, attack power increases by 12/15/18/21/24%, and elemental mastery by 48/60/72/84/96 . A good event solution that can become a decent piece of equipment in the absence of higher options. It fits into many squads due to the increase in the heroine's personal characteristics, but does not strengthen the group itself.
Sacrificial Greatsword
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat::
44-565
Energy recharge:
6,7%-30,6%
When an elemental skill deals damage, there is a 40/50/60/70/80% chance that its cooldown will be instantly reset. Can occur once every 30/26/22/19/16 seconds. It will do for the first time and in the absence of alternatives, but there is no point in keeping this claymore in the girl’s hands for a long time.
Forest Regalia
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat::
44-565
Energy recharge:
6,7-30,6%
The Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Blooming, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon statuses create a Leaf of Consciousness near the character that lasts for 10 seconds. Elemental mastery of the character who picks it up is increased by 60/75/90/105/120 for 12 sec. A Leaf of Consciousness can spawn every 20 sec. This effect triggers even if the equipped character is not on the battlefield. The Leaf of Consciousness is not cumulative. A good option, giving a sufficient amount of energy recovery, and also adding Elemental mastery to the active ally. By analogy with Aquamarine, the weapon is a specialized option in teams under Dendro reaction, in particular, under Lunar-Bloom. Due to the fact that the damage of the buds is highly dependent on the mastery of the elements, the reaction activator will not refuse 60-120 units. on top of his own.

Equipment that is effective for other characters has been dismantled in weapon tier list.

Top Artifacts

Artifacts for Aino should not only increase her key stats, but also strengthen the team through passive effects and additional stats. In the absence of top equipment, sets at the end of the list are quite suitable for the first time as an alternative, capable of covering the heroine's needs, although not ideally.

Name Description Recommendation
Silken Moon's Serenade
⭐⭐⭐⭐
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
2 parts: Increases energy recharge rate by 20%.
4 parts: When dealing elemental damage, a Moonlight effect is generated for 8 seconds: Trust: All party allies' Elemental Mastery is increased by 120 if the party's Moonsign is Nascent Light/Full Radiance. The party's Moonlight reaction damage is increased by 10% for each active Moonlight effect of different types. Can be generated even if the owner is not on the battlefield.
A signature set that takes into account all her features and needs. Thanks to ER, the heroine will be able to consistently ult, and an additional increase in Elemental mastery enhances her support potential.
Flower of Paradise Lost
⭐⭐⭐⭐
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
2 Piece: +80 elemental mastery.
4 Piece:
Increases the wearer's Blooming, Hyperbloom, and Blossoming abilities by 40%, and Lunar-Charged damage by 10%. Additionally, after the equipped character activates Blooming, Hyperbloom, Blossoming, and Lunar-Bloom reactions, this effect is further increased by 25%. Each stack lasts 10 seconds. The effect stacks up to 4 times, occurs every 1 second, and activates even if the character is inactive.
An option for playing through Bloom with Nilou. If Aino is the only Nod Edger in such a group, this set offers more benefit than the ones listed above.
Instructor
⭐⭐⭐
⭐⭐⭐⭐
2 parts: Increases Elemental mastery by 80 units.
4 parts: Triggering an elemental reaction increases the elemental mastery of all party members by 120. within 8 sec.
A good set of artifacts that gives Aino a decent boost to elemental mastery and increases the stats for the team. The key drawback of the set is its 4⭐ rarity and, as a result, the lack of stats. However, for the head of the workshop, which does not deal much damage, the set can be considered one of the best.
Wanderer's Troupe, Gilded Dreams, Flower of Paradise Lost, Night of the Sky's Unveiling
2 parts: +80 ms.
2 parts: +80 ms.
A combination of two pieces of Elemental Mastery will provide a good base for the first time. To squeeze out maximum profit, you should pay attention to the full sets above, which give the team more.

Silken Moon's Serenade (Emblem of Severed Fate)

Night of the Sky's Unveiling (Wanderer's Troupe, Gilded Dreams, Flower of Paradise Lost)

2 parts: Energy recovery +20%
2 parts: +80 ms.
This combination is easy to build for the first time, especially if you choose artifacts from the new Nod-Krai dungeon. In the process of farming a signature set, you can use the 2 + 2 combination until the end of the build.

Teams

Aino, Ineffa, Pyro the Traveler and Paimon

Aino's teams are best composed around the Charged, Lunar-Charged, Bloom, and Lunar-Bloom reactions. The heroine's skill set is aimed at increasing the damage of these elemental interactions and, as a result, increasing the overall damage of allies.

The Workshop owner is especially good when playing in a team with companions from Nod-Krai. Thanks to the presence of another character from his home region, Aino increases the frequency of his elemental burst shots and its range, which is an absolute advantage.

Suitable companions

Currently, Aino's most suitable companions are Flins and Ineffa. In their teams, she serves as a Hydro applicator and reaction buffer when equipped with C6. Characters from Nod's Edge fully unlock Aino's potential and utilize the reactions that form the core of her skill set. Workshop Leader Jin-Klatz also plays well with other characters with similar mechanics, such as Zibai.

CharacterElementWeaponInteraction
KyryllElectroA spearIf there is no Ineffa on the account, using the workshop owner in the same group with him is mandatory. Although there is not much Hydro from the mechanic, with proper play it is enough to maintain the reaction.
IneffaElectroA spearSince it is not profitable for the mecha maid to wear the support set Silkmoon Serenade, she will gladly accept her creator with this set into the group. The combination of these two will allow you to activate the Night of the Opening Sky set even on a non-Nod-Krai main DD.
NeferDendroCatalyst:Dendro is a damage dealer who plays off of Lunar-Bloom, using charged attacks. While her best option is Columbina, the young mechanic can still be used in her absence or if you have a second team that needs her.
LaumaDendroCatalyst:A powerful Dendro sub-DD that significantly boosts Blooming. As a Nod-Krai hero, he requires a second Nod-Krai representative to activate Ascendant Gleam, as well as a large amount of Hydro status.

It deals damage with the elemental damage of the secondary skill and heals the active character with its ultimate. A great partner for closing Supreme Radiance with a non-Nod-side main damage dealer.
JahodaAnemoBowIf your group already has a main damage dealer who belongs to the Thieves' region, having them in the same squad usually doesn't make sense. However, if you have a limited number of companions on your account and really need an Anemo Healer and a Hydro Sub Damage Dealer, you can use them together.
NilouHydroOne-handed swordDue to the ability to wear buffing sets and Hydro-elemental affiliations, he and Nile form a decent combination and can play together.
ArlecchinoPyroPolearmArlecchino is the best of all the Fire damage dealers that can be played with Lunar-Charged's reaction, and this combination is considered one of the strongest Harbinger teams.
SucroseAnemoCatalyst:Takes the position of the best Anemo support for Lunar Reactions, as he not only cuts resistances thanks to the set Viridescent Venerer and the ability to trigger Swirl, but also increases the group's Elemental mastery.

Examples of strong teams

The group should be assembled taking into account the choice of allies. Conventionally, squads are divided into two categories:

  • With the main damage dealer from Nod-Krai.
  • With a damage dealer from another region, but with allies from the same area to implement Ascendant Gleam.

Groups with main-dd of Nod-Krai

Due to the peculiarities of Lunar reactions, allies in such compositions always interact with the water element and have skills tied to MS.

Character 1Character 2Character 3Character 4Recommendation
FlintsIneffaAinoSucroseThe best group is with Kyryll. Aino and Ineffa buff Lunar-Charged, and Sucrose provides additional Elemental mastery and reduces Electro resistance. ZibaiAinoIllugaLinneaA group with Zi Bai and her signature support. Linnea's supporters, with her E-class, can move during combat, so they're not tied to a specific area, unlike Aino. Pay attention to positioning when using the mechanic's ultimate.

Xilonen
A team with Hydro Resonance and plenty of Hydro status, as well as buffs from both Columbina and Aino. A good option if you don't have Illuga and a second group of Nod-Krai characters.

Groups with main-dd from other regions

When playing with them, keep in mind that the mechanic loses some of the ultimate's field size and status infliction power, so an additional Hydro Applicator may be necessary. The heroine can easily be used in teams based on other reactions, but she won't always be an effective solution for them. For greater convenience against characters without the Moonsign, it's best to bring additional sub-DDs from Nod's Edge to Aino to resonate with them and activate their passives.

Character 1Character 2Character 3Character 4Recommendation
ArlecchinoIneffaAinoBennettDue to the way Pyro is cast on Harbinger, Aino's weak status won't prevent her from reacting with every necessary blow, and the Elemental mastery buff artifact set and the additional damage from Lunar-Charged will increase her overall damage. Despite the unusual nature of this unit, it's considered one of the strongest for Arlecchino. This combination is less effective for other Pyro-based main DPS.
ArlecchinoFurina

Resource from the weekly boss The Knave.
Crown of Insight × 1

Features

An additional characteristic of the mechanic is the mastery of the elements. The girl has a very small base attack, and the Elemental mastery stat in comparison with lvl 80 and lvl 90 increases only by 24 units. Nevertheless, we advise you to finish her last level, since the damage of Lunar reactions strongly depends on the lvl of companions.

Skills

In combat, the mechanic plays the role of a support, hanging an elemental status on opponents and creating conditions for teammates to activate reactions. Her skill deals minor damage to the enemy and pulls them to the mob, thereby adding mobility to the gameplay and making it possible to reduce the time it takes to move to enemies.

The ultimate hits enemies with Hydro projectiles in a specific area, which expands when there is a second Nod hero on the team. The projectile's recharge time is also reduced.

Basic (Active) Skills

The young workshop owner, Dzin-Klatz, is the perfect pocket-sized character, spending minimal time on the battlefield. Her buffs and ultimate work without her active participation, and with the sixth constellation, she provides the team with additional reaction buffs: Charged, Lunar-Charged, Bloom, and Lunar-Bloom.

Bish-Bash-Bosh Repair

  • Source of damage: ATK.

Normal: Deals three consecutive hits.

Charged: A spinning attack on surrounding enemies that continuously consumes stamina. After spinning, it performs an additional powerful attack.

Plunging attack: Rapidly falls to the ground, catching all enemies in its path. Upon landing, it hits an area.

Musecatcher

  • Source of damage: ATK.
  • Cooldown: 10 sec.

Throws Inspiration Hunter forward, dealing water damage and pulling her along with him. When he stops, the mechanic hits nearby enemies. Slow When pressed, the method of activating the skill changes: the heroine switches to aiming mode, in which you can choose the direction of the throw of the Inspiration Catcher.

Precision Hydronic Cooler

  • Duration: 14 sec.
  • Cooldown: 13,5 sec.
  • Energy consumption: 50.

Deploys the Cooling Ducky, a specially-built super-sprinkler that creates a Spot Cooling Zone. While active, the Cooling Ducky periodically fires water projectiles at nearby enemies, dealing Hydro damage.

Passive Skills

Her abilities, which unlock at different stages of ascension, are aimed at making it easier to find resources for leveling up heroes and improving the performance of her skills.

Aino receives corresponding buffs depending on her Moonsign level. Moonsign Full Moon: Elemental Burst: Precision Water Cooler is buffed. Cooling Duckling fires Hydro bombs at shorter intervals and has an increased range.

Aino's Elemental Burst damage is increased by 50% of her Elemental Mastery.

The heroine's presence in the team increases the Moonsign by 1 level.

Shows Nod-Krai specialties on the minimap. She can also change the appearance of the Cool Duckling in a special way.

Talent Leveling Order

Elemental Burst (Q) > Elemental Skill (E) > Normal Attacks (optional).

It's worth taking the ultimate as a priority, E is leveled more at will, and there is no point in adding it to regular attacks:

  1. Elemental burst is the girl's key skill, which contains an important part of her support functions - the imposition of Hydro status. However, crowning the ult does not make sense, due to the fact that the damage multipliers are so small that they simply do not cover the investments made.
  2. Elemental Skill has fairly small scaling, but is often used to upgrade energy. In view of these circumstances, you can raise the E-level to an acceptable level if you have extra resources.
  3. Normal attack are practically not used in battle and do not require levelling. The heroine's key role lies in working from the pocket, and she does not need to spend more time on the field than required to activate the ultimate.

Constellations

Name The effect
1. The Theory of Ash—Field Equilibrium After activating the elemental skill Inspiration Catcher or the elemental burst Precise Water Cooler, Aino's Elemental Mastery is increased by 80, and the Elemental Mastery of surrounding characters on the battlefield is also increased for 15 seconds. The bonus does not stack.
2. The Principle of Transference in Gear Differentials During Elemental Burst, when Aino is not on the battlefield and the active character hits an enemy, Cool Duckling will fire an additional water ball at that enemy, dealing AoE Hydro damage equal to 25% of Aino's Attack Power and 100% of her Elemental Mastery. This damage is considered Elemental Burst damage and can occur once every 5 seconds.
3. Cake and the Art of Mechanism Repair Increases the Precision Hydraulic Cooler skill level by 3.
The maximum upgrade level is 15.
4. Butter and Cats and the Law of Energy Supply When the Elemental Skill Inspiration Catcher hits an enemy, Aino will recover 10 energy. Thus, energy can be recovered every 10 seconds.
5. Perpetual Turbine of Metal and Light Increases the skill level of Inspiration Catcher 3.
The maximum upgrade level is 15.
6. The Burden of Creative Genius For the next 15 seconds after using the Precision Hydraulic Cooler elemental burst, the damage from Charged, Bloom, Lunar-Charged, and Lunar-Bloom reactions of nearby active characters is increased by 15%.
Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam: Damage from the above reactions will be increased by an additional 20%.

The best constellations of Aino are  С1, С2 and C6.

  • The first constellation Gives the heroine additional elemental mastery and infuses this characteristic into the team. Thus, her support potential and her own damage, which is highly dependent on the mastery indicator, increase.
  • The second constellation Gives a little more Hydro status, and due to the area strike, spreads it across a group of nearby enemies. In fact, this strike can be compared to a coordinated attack, the target of which can be chosen independently.
  • The sixth constellation for her support role is the most important. It increases the numbers from reactions, for which the girl is tuned, by 15-35%, which is a solid addition to the final strength of any team playing through these concepts.

How to play Aino

The owner of the workshop is a standard representative of heroes who put "glade" with their explosion of elements and do not spend much time on the battlefield. Aino's main support abilities work without her active participation, as well as sets of artifacts with weapons.

Rotation

Order of actions: Ally buttons that apply status > E (elemental skill) > elemental burst (Q) > main damage dealer rotation.

A specific rotation is required only when teamed with Kyryll. When teamed with Nefer or Zibai, all actions are limited to resetting the elemental skill and ultimate as they cool down and accumulate. A more detailed rotation:

  1. Allies use their skills to apply statuses, and other supports give up buttons. For example, Flins or Ineffa activates E, and then Sukharoz or another Anemo partner inflates Electro, leaving it on the enemy.
  2. Aino uses a skill and an elemental burst, activating all bonuses, and then goes into the pocket.
  3. Flins enters the field and fights under buffs.

You can also consider the option where the mechanic and Ineffa start, after which Sukharoz inflates the element and Flins finishes the rotation, but then there is a high risk that the alchemist girl will strengthen the wrong element.

Conclusion

Aino can be considered a pretty good representative of the epic heroes in Genshin Impact. Her low personal damage is compensated by increased reactions and the ability to wear strong equipment combinations that easily vary from team to team. The heroine's build can be adjusted to the needs of specific teammates, while fairly universal weapons are obtained for free.

Although she's mostly been replaced in similar teams by Columbina, a stronger Lunar Reactions support, she's still an indispensable option in groups before Kuutar is unlocked. Later, she can find a niche in the second setup if needed, if you're playing two Nod-end damage dealers, or as a second Hydro alongside Moon Maiden. Either way, leveling her up will definitely be a useful solution if you want to play with the new reactions.

History (biography)

Aino is a young genius mechanic from Nod-Krai and the head of the workshop "Dzin-Klats", which is located in Nasha Town. In the workshop, she creates various krumkake, some of which can be observed in her abilities. The little girl's outstanding talent allowed her to make several technical breakthroughs. Her personal motto is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The girl was able to create the body of the robot Ineffa from mechanical parts that she managed to find all over Teyvat. One of her famous achievements is a giant cannon in Nasha Town, designed to repel attacks of the Wild Hunt within a certain radius. Little is known about Aino's past and her family at the moment. She is cared for by the already mentioned Ineffa, who has taken on the role of a maid for the talented child.
