
Cheats in the global strategy Crusader Kings 3 affect all aspects of the game with their functionality. Using console commands, you can radically change the gameplay, strengthen or weaken any ruler and replay events at your own discretion, making adjustments to them.

How to enable console in Crusader Kings 3

If you play via Steam, to open the console you need to:
- Right-click on Crusader Kings 3 in your game library.
- In the drop-down menu, select the "Properties" item.
- On the "General" tab, click on "Launch Options".
- There you need to enter the code: -debug_mode in the text field and click OK.
By default, debug mode is disabled in Crusader Kings 3. To use cheats, you need to activate it.
If the game starts after Gamepass /Windows 10/ You need to open Notepad or another text editor. It creates a new file. It contains the line:
tart shell:AppsFolder\ParadoxInteractive.ProjectTitus_zfnrdv2de78ny!App -debug_mode
The file needs to be saved directly to the desktop in the .bat extension. The name does not matter. Double-clicking on this file will launch Crusader Kings 3 in debug mode. Activate cheats in new versions of the game you can in the launcher: go to settings and run the project in development mode.
How to launch console in game
The console is a code entry field. You can open it by clicking the "~" (tilde) key or the Shift-Alt-C combination. You can close the cheat input field with the same commands.

The code does not need to be in brackets. For example, [amount] of gold should be entered as: gold 1000. Square brackets in tables are provided for ease of reading.

When using any amounts, if a specific number is not entered, 1000 used as a default value. The [amount] indicator itself can be either positive or negative. For example, this can be used to decrease a character's age or gold amount.
To edit a character
The hero can be rejuvenated or aged, his appearance, character traits or skill levels can be changed. The codes work both on the player character and on any NPC. Useful for building a harmonious story.
When using cheats in relation to a game character no need to enter its in-game number. If the effect needs to be transferred to an NPC, then the id is required. To find the id of other characters, hover your mouse over the portrait of the desired NPC in debug mode.

Scenario Codes
Useful if you want to influence the gameplay, changing the course of history. These can be either global changes on the entire map or local adjustments. However, the result will in any case be reflected in the overall situation.
Pressing the Tab key while the console is active will display additional information. For example, if you want to add a new law to your domain, type the desired command and press Tab. The entire list of laws will open at the bottom, from which you can select the appropriate one.
