CK3 is filled with complex, multi-layered mechanics. Even moving the capital might not be that easy. Share your work tips!
Some Crusader Kings 3 players may finally get confused by UI icons and text prompts, among which it seems that it is unrealistic to choose a new place for the capital. However, it's actually quite simple.
Crusader Kings 3 is an extremely challenging grand strategy game that allows players to live out their fantasies of building their own Empire. Everything is available: you can take the role of a medieval ruler, seizing the lands of his enemies, or even kill the Pope in order to exalt your pagan cult. Whatever the reason players are moving to the latest Paradox 4X, there are many resources and tutorials to help would-be kings manage their realm as efficiently as possible.
Getting used to the solid mechanics and tools that the game offers is not an easy task, but once players get the hang of it, the gameplay becomes much more enjoyable. Successfully managing the game world is not easy, no matter how well players understand the intricacies of the Paradox medieval simulation, and sometimes it can be easy to get confused in such seemingly basic mechanics as changing the capital of the kingdom. If a player moves their main title to another area, it is wise to change the "heart of the country" as well, and it's surprisingly easy to do.
Choose a new location
To begin, players must select the holding they would like to move their capital to, whether they received it during the war or inherited it from their predecessor. New area must be owned by the player and cannot be controlled by another leader.
In the bottom menu, players can see a small icon with a crown and an arrow to the right of the title. This crown bronze or yellow-brown located to the right of blue crown, which is located next to pen and ink bottle. These three icons are slightly smaller than the title and are easy to miss. With so much information for players, many icons, such as those for changing taxes and fees in CK3, get lost and can be lost sight of.
Move capital
Finding the button is the hardest part. After that just click on it first, and then click "Move". This last confirmation will come in handy if the player accidentally clicks something. In CK3, bugs can be fatal.
Remember that in order to transfer the capital, you must have not only the right district, but also the right building. Construction is a long process that will take several in-game years.
