"Palace coup" - the last side mission in the storyline Judy Alvarez. The job has several different endings, only one of which is more or less peaceful. If the player plans to build a romantic relationship with the technician brandance or he just doesn’t give a damn about the opinion of a friend, then it’s worth considering that in the course of completing this quest maiko stayed alive. However, getting this outcome is not so easy, since most of the dialogue with the characters leads to a lethal battle.
Job activation
The mission "Palace Revolution" will appear in the magazine automatically, immediately after the completion of the previous quest in Judy's line. We leave for the appointed place at any time and stand at the railing to wait for the girl and her partners. Alvarez will appear around the corner after a while along with puppets from "Clouds"and then you can talk to her. Then you will need to climb with the girl to the level of maintenance in the penthouse, using the elevator for this. The rest of the team (Roxanne and Thoma) will separate from the group and take up their part of the mission.
Walkthrough Penthouse
After exiting the elevator, V will almost immediately have to deal with several guards who are on the maintenance level. The easiest way to do this is with "Closings" - one of the best netrunner scripts. If you do not have an arsenal hacker, then try to use a weapon with a silencer or sneak up on enemies in order to neutralize them quickly and quietly.
You can find a detailed guide on all netrunner scripts here.
After the fight, Judy will start hacking the security panel, and we will have to continue on our own. Enemies should not cause any special problems, since there will be few of them. We jump down to the balcony of the penthouse, making our way along the roof, or use the loophole with the damaged fence, which is located to the left of the elevator (you will need Tech level 5) - this route will avoid open skirmishes.
Our goal is large double doors, behind which is Maiko, as well as Hiromi Sato along with his people. Everyone, except the girl, is in brandance, so we will have the opportunity to chat a little with our partner. However, in this case, the choice of dialogue will not have much effect on the plot, so answer as you like.
Negotiations with Maiko and the Tigers
The second and most important stage of the passage of the quest "Palace coup" are negotiations with representatives of the organization "Tiger Claws" and Maiko. Shortly before the awakening of the mafia, the girl will tell us that her true plan was to take the place of Hiromi Sato. Of course, this situation will not suit Judy, however, she will also be against the elimination of Maiko. To obtain most peaceful outcome, you need to do the following:
- In a conversation with the tigers, let them know that you do not support Maiko's plan.
- Tell the mafia that the Clouds are now declaring their independence.
- Deal with Hiromi Sato's guards.
- In a conversation with Maiko, choose the answer option: "What?".
- In the next dialogue, express your uncertainty.
Fighting Tiger Claws can be quite tricky, especially when passing the game at a high level of difficulty. However, you can use katana, which is on the table to quickly deal with opponents. Maiko herself, unfortunately, will cower in fear and will not take part in the battle. If you have any trump cards, then it is best to save them for this particular fight.
After completing the quest in the most peaceful way, Judy will be very happy and kiss V (in the case of playing as a female character) or at least will not be offended by him (in the case of playing as a man). Any other option will not please Alvarez, especially if you agree with Maiko's plan and accept money from her.
You can read detailed information about the affair with Judy Alvarez for Vee a woman. here.
Palace Coup is one of the toughest missions if you plan on building a relationship with Judy Alvarez. Getting a peaceful outcome of the quest is an extremely difficult task, especially when it comes to first playthrough. After all, for this you need to be able to remain neutral during the negotiations, but without provoking Maiko to attack. However, the presence of difficult choices is what separates a good RPG from mediocrity, isn't it?
Read on:You can find out how to romance Judy as a man in one of the past our articles.
“If the player plans to build a romantic relationship with the braindance technician, or if he simply does not give a damn about the opinion of a friend, then it is worth considering that during the course of this quest Maiko remains alive”
- I just slammed Maiko (f**k that bitch) and then slept with Judy.
But what about wagering?)
There is a problem that apparently the elevator glitched, and it just doesn’t send me from the roof to the lower floor, and the stairs behind the house don’t work at all, how to get out of the apartment of this f***ing Hiromi? (
except to load the previous save. Or wait for the next patch, it should be released before the end of the month (maybe they will fix it there)
Maiko didn't come out of that room alive. Judy was a little shocked by this, but after the underwater mission, everything worked out for her.
Just put yourself an eye implant for non-lethal damage (target analyzer). This will give you not only double experience, but also the ability to kill almost everyone without consequences. So you can fill up Mike and not offend anyone in the end. I don’t care about Judy, but suddenly someone will need this advice.
Thanks for the advice! And why did it happen with Judy, didn’t the character enter?)
Not for anything 🙂
I think it's all about voice acting. It happens that if the voice was initially strongly disliked, then involuntarily this hostility is transferred to the character himself. After all the patches, I'll try to go through again, but with English voice acting, maybe then I'll change my attitude towards it.
She walks the whole game sad, how can you like it? (Arguments like her friend died do not count).
The best option, in my opinion, is not to touch the bosses and not to kill Maiko, so as not to fight with the bosses, just support Maiko's plan so that she becomes the head of the Clouds, but then do not take money from her so as not to spoil relations with Judy. It doesn’t matter that you don’t need a bed scene (although with the help of the console it can be with V of any gender), the subsequent quest with Judy will be cool and you will see a flooded city and you can get Judy’s apartment. And if you kill the bosses, then a gang of one fig will take revenge by shooting everyone in the Clouds, incl. Maiko is the least of the trouble...
In fact, if there is no desire to dance in front of Judy, then it is better to agree to Miko's offer - it is objectively more beneficial for everyone, given that tiger claws, as we later learn, will still come to take revenge and the rebels will not have ice.
I have a male V and didn't like Judy as a character, so in this mission I shot off Maiko's head as soon as I got the chance)
However, romance can be started even if Maiko dies. And even if she becomes the head of the Clouds.
