В Path of Exile 2 With the release of version 0.4.0, a new character became available to choose from: the Druid. A wise hermit who prefers to be at one with nature, he relies on the power of animals, whose forms he can assume. He uses a unique magical weapon, the Talisman, to transform. His enhanced intelligence and strength allow him to easily wield magic and fight in close combat.
Ascending to Shaman and Oracle allows you to become a powerful battlemage or gain the gift of foresight, which you can use in combat and while leveling. In this guide, we'll share the most notable and useful Druid builds in PoE 2, as well as how to play them.
A Druid guide for leveling up quickly in Path of Exile 2
Considering that you can change your leveling strategy at any point in the late game, a starting Druid build should be as effective as possible for completing the story acts. Using the build below, you'll easily reach the end of the campaign and defeat all the bosses.
Although the abilities of different animals can be combined and instantly switched between forms, for convenience, we'll use the wolf as an example for our starting build. This beast's skills are well-suited for quickly clearing small mobs and are excellent against bosses. High Chill and Freeze percentages make the gameplay comfortable, and the presence of wolf minions on the field reduces the need for defensive measures.
If you're looking to progress through the Bear or Wyvern, you can skip this section and jump straight to the endgame build you're interested in. The skill tables follow the order in which you obtain skill gems, and the passive skill tree is nearly linear.
Equipment

At the beginning of the game you are given a normal magic staff and a unique type of weapon - mascotThe first is used for casting enchantments in human form, while the second allows you to transform into a beast form. Use them to navigate the first few areas and defeat the initial bosses.
Beginning its development in the tree between Intellect and Strength, the class is initially capable of casting elemental spells while defending itself with heavy armor. The optimal gear for a Druid is based on the use of armor based on armor or armor and energy shieldChoose the modifier that gives you the most profit.
Priority in equipment should be given to the following characteristics:
- Increased movement speed – look for boots with this modifier. By the end of Act II, it's recommended to have 15-20%.
- Any bonus to physical damage is a universal way to increase the character's overall damage.
- + to the level of melee skill stones to increase damage.
- Increasing the rarity of items found is optional, but can be a nice bonus, allowing you to get rare gear more often.
The best modifiers for the talisman are:
- As much physical or elemental damage as possible - look for modifiers that increase damage by a percentage or a flat amount, and when it comes to elements, give preference to cold.
- Attack Speed - Increasing this stat provides a significant boost to overall DPS.
- + to the level of skill stones to increase their damage.
Don't forget to infuse runes into your best gear. Use them to boost elemental resistances or defensive properties on armor, and physical damage on weapons.
Skills and support stones
The Druid's build through Freeze in Wolf Form relies on the use of his main skills - Lunar attack и Toss-UpThe first deals ice damage and freezes enemies in front of it, while the second allows you to leap into the center of a crowd, dealing AoE damage around you. When choosing skill gems, refer to the table below:
| Skill | Support Stones |
|---|---|
Tear |
|
Lunar attack |
|
Throw (meta-stone) |
|
Frost Bomb | Cascade of Charms |
Ice Herald (Spirit Stone) | Enlarged area 1 |
Cross Strike |
|
Storm | Extension 1 Enlarged area 1 |
overwhelming presence |
This set of skills is relevant until the end of the third act.
The simplest part of this build is the cleanup rotation. It consists of just a few sequential steps:
- Toss-Up - a strike across the area directly into the center of the crowd.
- Lunar attackto freeze most enemies. Most enemies die at this point.
- Tear - Spam to break ice statues.
- Cross Strike - destroys the most tenacious.
To effectively fight bosses, you will need to use a long combination:
- Storm — Lightning bolts aren't as important as the accompanying rain, which will soak the enemy. This will make it easier to freeze them.
- Frost Bomb - A pulsating sphere of ice that inflicts elemental vulnerability and deals cold damage.
- Toss-Up - allows you to instantly get closer and deliver a crushing blow to the area.
- Lunar attack - use until the freezing scale is approximately 90% full.
- Storm - Repeat to prolong the effect.
- Lunar attack — until completely frozen.
- Tear - Deals a lot of damage to a frozen enemy and creates explosive fragments.
- Cross Strike — a backwards leap, dealing heavy damage and leaving marks. Previously created ice chunks will be drawn to the enemy and explode.
- Throw.
- Tear.
- Cross strike.
Repeat the last three steps until complete victory, periodically refreshing the thunderstorm effect and applying freeze.
In the early stages, when clearing the map, you can additionally use Infection, which will spread Chaos damage among small mobs, increasing DPS.
Passive skills
The skill tree is designed to maximize damage from attacks, spells, and elements. By the end of Act III, you'll have earned the nodes highlighted in the screenshot—this is the optimal path for increasing damage and ensuring a comfortable progression.
In the Russian localization, the names of the Druid Ascensions are mixed up. Please refer to the image and skill names.
This build uses Ascension to Oracle to unlock new nodes on the tree with the skill The Invisible PathAfter the first playthrough Trials of Sekhem At level 21+ take it.
If by the time of the opening of the Temple of Chaos and passing tests If you want to change your ascension, you can do so by resetting your Stealthy points and choosing a new subclass.
Druid's Endgame Wolf Form Build

If you decide to continue evolving Freezing Oracle Wolf, follow this section. The gameplay will remain the same as in the starting build, and you won't need to rebuild anything.
Equipment selection and stat priority
Because the wolf's playstyle relies on melee damage, it's important to constantly monitor the quality of your weapon. Choose a talisman with the highest damage physical/ice damage and don't forget to improve it.
It is better to use protective equipment in combination with armor and energy shield — the passive tree is tailored for this combination. Elemental resistance isn't as important, but it's desirable for increased survivability.
In terms of modifiers, stick to the same strategy you used when you first started leveling. The most important ones still remain:
- Travel speed.
- Physical/Ice damage bonuses.
- Increase the level of melee skill stones.
- Rarity of the items found.
Skills and support stones
The optimal skill set for a Wolf Druid looks like this:
| Skill | Support Stones |
|---|---|
Tear |
|
Lunar attack |
|
Throw (meta-stone) |
|
Frost Bomb | Cascade of Charms |
Ice Herald (Spirit Stone) | Enlarged area 1 The Power of Cold Cold Mastery |
Cross Strike |
|
Storm | Extension 1 Enlarged area 1 |
overwhelming presence | Accuracy 1 |
Lunar Blessing | Cold Mastery Extension 1 Reload Speed 2 Second Wind 3 |
Wild Fury (Spirit Stone) | Extension 2 |
The clear rotation is the same as the starting one, but Lunar Blessing is added. Use the buff, then perform your usual combo.
You can also use the long combo from the beginning of the game to destroy bosses, but there is an easier option:
- Lunar blessing.
- Wild rage.
- Thunderstorm.
- Throw.
- Cross strike.
- Lunar attack until complete freeze.
- Tear.
- Cross strike.
Repeat until victory.
Passive skills
Having the Oracle skill The Invisible Path, you can continue developing along the Druid branch, capturing invisible nodes, or move on to Warrior skills. The latter are used primarily to increase armor and improve defense.
As a second skill, take the asedansi Intertwined Realities — it allows you to select non-key nodes without connection to the main tree. This allows you to ignore small nodes leading to key nodes and immediately select the main skills. Use this feature to optimize your leveling.

Druid Bear Form Endgame Build

Leveling up a bear is different in that you initially focus on strength skills. If you decide to develop this way, you'll have to completely rebuild yourself if you've been using the starting build described above. The scheme below allows you to level up from scratch—simply follow the skill acquisition order in the table.
Equipment selection and stat priority
When choosing equipment, damage should be your primary focus, so increase physical damage by any means available.
- Mascot — with better physical damage. If you get a cool gun with a decent boost to cold damage, you can use it too. To do this, replace the "Fire Mastery" support gem with "Cold Mastery" for the bear's basic skill, "Mashing."
- Armor - Look for elements with the highest possible base defense and resistances.
- Gloves and amulet - Prioritize leveling up your melee gems.
- Boots — movement speed.
- Rings — to increase physical and elemental damage, resistance, and health and mana regeneration.
- Guardian — the ideal choice would be the unique "Ngamahu's Chosen", which instantly grants maximum Rage charges.
Skills and support stones
The optimal gem set for the Bear Druid consists of powerful AoE attacks dealing physical and fire damage. These skills are supported by buffs and spirit gems that increase overall DPS. The table lists the gems in the order they are obtained:
| Skill | Support Stones |
|---|---|
Thrashing (up to level 14) |
|
Fury of the Mountain (after level 14) | Quick Attacks 2 Mana Drain Ferocity 3 |
Walking disaster |
|
Rampage | Run-up Efficiency 2 The storm Residual wave 2 Sprawl 2 |
Herald of Ashes (Spirit Stone) | Enlarged area 2 Cannibalism 1 Clarity of Mind 2 |
Fierce Roar (meta-stone) | Hellfire Cry (Skill Gem) Tirelessness Fierce cry |
Furious Strike | Fist of War 2 Residual wave 2 Close Combat 2 Quick Attacks 2 The Power of Cold |
Shaking Totem | Excess 2 Hurry Totems 3 Quick Attacks 2 Extension 2 |
Toss-Up | Death Mark 2 Pull Mark 2 |
Charge management |
Throw is a wolf skill that can be used to increase mobility.
When fighting against crowds of weak enemies, use the following combo:
- Fury of the Mountain.
- Riot.
- Furious Strike (after accumulating 10 points of ferocity).
In the early stages, use the Throw as an opening move, followed by standard Rape moves.
Against strong enemies:
- Shaking Totem.
- A furious blow.
- A walking disaster.
Passive skills
The screenshots show a complete picture of progression from the start to the late game. Progression is mostly linear, so the order in which nodes are acquired is not particularly important.
Shaman was chosen as the Ascension build because it allows you to generate Fury charges to extend the duration of Rampage without any external investment.

Option #2 (in Russian):
Druid's Endgame Wyvern Build

Dragon Form relies on accumulating energy charges and expending them to deal devastating damage. The build relies on just four active skills, significantly simplifying combat combos.
Equipment selection and stat priority
A druid's defense is a combination of heavy armor and energy shield. You can also use other types of defensive gear, as the modifiers on it are the most important. If you're unsure what to equip, use this guide to prioritize stats:
- Mascot - as much physical or elemental damage as possible.
- Gloves - any bonuses to damage, resistance, armor, energy shield, increased rarity of found items (optional).
- Boots — movement speed, resistances, defensive characteristics, increased rarity of found items.
- Rings - increase in physical or any elemental damage, resistance, mana/health regeneration.
- Amulet — bonuses to defense, resistances, armor, energy shield, health, mana.
The rest of the equipment is standard—go for items with the best defensive properties, and various modifiers will be a nice bonus. The best items you find can be further crafted at Vaal Temples to save you currency.
Skills and support stones
The wyvern isn't unlocked right away. At first, you can use other animal skills or cast spells in human form. You can upgrade to a dragon after obtaining your first level 3 skill stone. Use it to unlock it. "Flap of Wings" and then follow the table:

|---|---|
Lacerate | Elemental Weapons 2 Quick Attacks 2 Stun 2 Enlarged area 1 |

Oil queue | Salvo fire 2 Sprawl 1 Ambrosia 2 Fury 1 |
Herald of Ashes (Spirit Stone) | |
Hour of Need (Spirit Stone) | Duration reduction 2 |
Oak Skin (Spirit Stone) |
Use the basic skill "Laceration"to destroy normal mobs and once they are dead, cast Devouringto gain energy charges. These will enhance the wyvern's basic attack, adding electrical AoE damage.
To destroy bosses and strong single players, spam "A laceration"until they get close to being stunned. To stun an enemy and knock them down, complete the combo. With a flap of a wingFor this you will also receive charges that should be spent on strengthening "Oil Queue" - Use this skill for a quick finishing move.
Passive skills
The screenshot shows the development of the passive tree, which was relevant before the release Атлас.
The Oracle has been chosen as the Ascendancy, allowing for advancement along paths unavailable to other classes. The Ascension tree unlocks "The Invisible Path" first, and through further trials, unlock "The Lesser Evil," "Intertwined Realities," and "Violent Result."

Option #2 (via Shaman):
Endgame build of Druid with minions
Minion-based builds are one of the simplest ways to play. The Druid has everything they need to surround themselves with a horde of minions that will do all the work of clearing the map and destroying bosses. All the player has to do is maintain their troop numbers and apply buffs and debuffs.
Equipment selection and stat priority
The main weapon is rattling scepter, which allows you to summon skeleton warriors. Look for it in the modifiers increase of the Spirit и Minion skill gem level bonuses.
Equip a rare shield in your off-hand. The main requirement is that it be the highest possible. block chanceThe remaining modifiers will be a nice bonus, especially if they include resistances and increases to maximum health and mana.
When wearing a helmet, look first at increase to the level of minion skill stonesHere you can also find a modifier that increases the rarity of found items, which will allow you to find rare items more often.
Chest armor is the main source Spirit After the scepter. Look for items with the highest bonus possible to use all your minions. Everything else is standard—gain more defensive properties and look for additional elemental resistances in modifiers.

You can put unique items in the amulet slots The Bracelet of Renunciation и Beira's PainThey're cheap and won't cost more than one exalt on the marketplace.
Skills and support stones
The skill gem set is reminiscent of Lich build — all aimed at creating and strengthening the undead army. The main damage falls on the Vaal Guardian Ghosts, which can be captured in Act III using the "Ghost Capture" skill.
| Skill | Support Stones |
|---|---|
Offering of pain | Extension 1 Dance of death Sacrificial offering Efficiency 2 |
Raging Spirits (Spirit Stone) | Quick Attacks 3 Armor Breaker 1 Blinding 2 Extension 2 |

Passive skills
Unlike any of the Beast Druids, whose leveling focuses on increasing their own damage, the Summoner relies solely on the power of their minions. Start with the defense-boosting tree, then progress through the stat nodes and build a lot of Intellect into them.
To open the hidden branches, after completing the Sekhem Trial, take the Oracle and its skill The Invisible PathYou can unlock the second one. Intertwined Realities, which will allow you to open the "Calibration" node without having to navigate to it. If your mana is higher than your health, a good choice is Inner Harmony.
Video guide
All the details and nuances of the build are explained in the video:
This article presents sample Druid builds in PoE 2. You don't have to strictly follow the guide. Experiment with builds and invent new combinations of gems and passive skills to develop your own gameplay style. The game doesn't punish you for leveling mistakes—you can change your strategy at any time by resetting skills for gold.

I started playing as a wolf. At level 15, I noticed that my passive skill trees didn't match the ones listed here. It felt like they were missing something.
Maybe you missed a quest with bonus points for passives (kill the Bellmaker in the Hunting Grounds or find Una's Lute in the Farmlands)
No, the passive skill tree here does not match the actual one in the game, check for yourself.
The Oracle's "Invisible Path" unlocks new branches in the tree. Obtain it after completing the Sechem Challenge.
I'll keep that in mind, thank you!
It would also be possible to enter from the Russian Federation, that would be great...
What's the problem? I play on Steam. Updates are coming regularly. Your ping in Stockholm is the same as it was in Moscow.
P.S. Regarding the topic, a wolf is great, a bear is not, and a lizard is for masochists.
What's the difficulty? I've been playing POE2 from Russia since the start, and I still do.
