Where to find Godric the Hundred Hands in Elden Ring
Godric is located on the very edge Thunder Veil Castle, in the very north of the location. Initially, you will need to get to it: there are two ways to do this.
- Break through the main gate, passing a huge number of enemies and ballistas, and then run to grace.
- Use the hidden hole in the wall, which you can learn about from the nobleman standing to the left of the main gate. This method is easier in terms of battles, but longer.
After passing through the hole in the castle wall, you need to clear the location from the nobles and go up to the top floor. Watch out for the nobles who are behind the powder kegs: run up to provoke them and step back, allowing them to destroy dangerous objects. The upper floors have a locked door that requires a key.
Go even higher, to a dark room with a mini-boss: it is not necessary to fight him, run straight ahead and take the key, after which you can open the desired door and climb higher, avoiding the battle.
Further, the path is linear, climb up the facade above, to another staircase. At the very top of the Extinguished One, a Lost Grace awaits, which is worth activating before moving on to the boss.
From this location, go through the door ahead. Once outside, turn left and run through the area with the birds and the powder kegs. You need to get to the temple. If desired, you can go down into it and talk to the NPC.
From the temple, you need to go out onto a kind of path that runs along the fence and run to the end (fighting enemies is also optional). Entering the right door, the Extinguished One will enter a large semblance of a throne room, along which an optional boss moves - Grown offspring. With him, similarly to past enemies, you can not fight: just run through the last door on the left.
Having gone to the desired passage, you just need to run past the hordes of enemies, bypassing the training ground. Go to the left side, go past the first open door and run into the next room, where the lost grace awaits.
From this grace, the path is corridor: run straight, running around the family of pots, next to which you will need to turn right and run to the next grace, located next to the boss arena.
Abilities and attacks of Godric the Hundred Hands
The first phase
- Create a whirlwind - Godric begins to swing his ax in a circle around him, creating gusts of wind and a veil. After the boss has cast the Whirlwind Ritual three times, he will either jump on the Extinguished One on his own or send out wind as a ranged attack.
- Ranged Wind Blast - An attack animation similar to the usual preparation for a strike, but Godric sends a gust of wind forward. The attack does not move in a straight line, but changes its direction in different directions. If you are near the boss, then you can get additional damage from the ax itself.
- lunge forward – The animation starts with a normal swing back, after which the demigod lunges forward, and only then delivers a sweeping blow, increasing the distance of defeat.
- roll - an optional action that can be used by the boss both to change position and to attack.
- Jumping ax strikes - first, the boss rises into the air, approaching the character, after which he collapses down, trying to deal damage with both the ax and his body. Such an attack can knock the Extinguished One off his feet.
- Ax and hand combo - Godric makes a sweeping blow with an ax in one direction, after which he strikes in pursuit with his hand. If you stand too close, then there will be several blows with your hand.
- Flurry of blows - the boss takes an ax in a hypertrophied hand, starting to randomly cut through everything in its path, alternating blows with an ax and a hand. The combination consists of four quick strikes and one strong one.
- On knees - Godric brings the ax up, after which they hit the ground, creating a shock wave over the area, which additionally raises the ground. This blow knocks you off your feet.
The second phase
- Fire breath - a flame appears in the dragon's mouth, after which Godric begins to flood the entire location with fire, slowly moving his hand from one side of the arena to the other.
- Kneeling kick of the second phase - the boss raises the ground with a hammer twice, after which he makes a third blow, which has a much larger area.
- Whirlwind Attack - the boss, similar to the first phase, swings three times, but now the whirlwind deals fire damage. After swinging, Godric launches fire whirlwinds at the Extinguished One.
- fire catapult - the demigod lowers the dragon's head into the ground, starts to spin, then lifts the dragon's mouth up and launches fireballs that cover part of the arena.
- Dragon Mouth Capture - the dragon opens its mouth and tries to capture the player, inflicting almost fatal damage to him.
How to kill Godric the Hundred Hands in Elden Ring
Close combat tactics
Melee tactics are quite simple, it all depends on the ability to roll in time. In the first phase, Godric mainly fights in close combat. With most of Godric's blows, he leaves his back open, allowing you to strike.
During the rolls, it is worth monitoring the movement of the boss in order to hit him in time before the demigod strikes first. The flurry of ax blows can be avoided by getting around Godric and striking from behind. In case of attacks, it is recommended to step aside, as this attack can easily corner the Extinguished One.
In the second phase, the fight will be easier, as the boss moves to ranged attacks. When using fire breath, which is distinguished by its animation, you need to have time to go behind the boss and attack before the eruption of flame is over. Fire wind, like the normal one, should be avoided: circle around the boss, occasionally hitting, but beware of the axe. Another good strategy is to provoke the Hundred Hands into maws and immediately run behind him, striking.
Ranged tactics
Ranged combat is much easier. The most dangerous attacks can be a flurry combo and an ax lunge, so don't forget about the distance. The flurry of blows and combos from swinging the ax, despite the danger, create an excellent opportunity for ranged attacks: keeping at a distance, you can deal significant damage.
A bonus will also be the pause that Godric takes between some of the strikes in the combination, allowing him to freely attack himself. The second phase will be even easier, as the demigod begins to attack from afar.
