Another large-scale scandal is breaking out in the gaming community Genshin Impact. The subject of controversy this time was the claims of players from Korea to HoYoverse, whose employee and creator of the design Furina и Faruzan, the most popular heroine among South Korean fans, posts “hate speech” towards men on her accounts.
After the video is released “How La vaguelette was created” on the developers' official YouTube channel, many Korean Furina fans wanted to know more about the man behind the design of their beloved character. It turned out that the heroine was developed by a Korean artist who maintains personal accounts under the nickname I MY. On its pages, particularly curious players were able to find many old publications in which the girl complained about harassment, inappropriate behavior and Korean men in general, backed up by rather hostile statements.
Offended by this behavior of the HoYoverse employee, Korean fans launched a campaign demanding the artist's removal from work. It all started with angry comments under recent posts and broadcasts the 4.3 update. Despite the huge amount of negativity, the company did not respond to complaints, which ended with the rental of several trucks and an airship worth 16 million Korean won (1 million rubles), which display the HoYoverse logo and the phrase "The company doesn't pay attention to its fans".
Players from other countries did not support the action, recalling the dissatisfied announcement and exit Lyney, which received a huge amount of hate from Korean players, according to whom the company seeks to please only the female audience by creating and adding “effeminate” characters to the game. Also, some commentators confirmed that mutual misogyny and misandry in South Korea are quite common.
