Templar, popular in TESO, is usually a simple game combined with convenient controls. And in Greymoor, this class can act as a fairly strong DD, if you take one additional action - become a vampire.
The mana version of the Templar offers a large amount of damage when using abilities from the class trees. And the vampire branch of abilities expands the capabilities of the class. How exactly to make such a templar in The Elder Scrolls Online, we will tell further. If interested stamina version, then go here.
General description of the class
The Templar is a class that relies on the power of light to fight enemies of all sizes. Due to his powerful spells, the templar lives well, no matter who he is - a solo player at the beginning of the journey or a member of a group visiting dungeons in Hi-End content.
Role
As a rule, the templar performs two roles - DD or doctor. But in this build, the templar will be considered in only one role, and we are not talking about a healer.
Resource used
Since our version of the templar is associated with magical skills, it is assumed that the use of such a resource as magic (mana). The stamina pool is practically not used, since there will be only one or two abilities on the panel with the cost of this particular resource.
Attributes
Mana Templar is a class that actively uses mana, so it would be more logical for a player to invest all their points in this particular pair.etr (64-0-0). If you are afraid that the character will not live long, you can add a few points to the Health parameter (60-4-0).
Races for class
For a mana templar, there is a choice between several races.
[Table id = 8 /]Mundus Stone
The most useful Mundus stone for any templar below 160 SP is Lover. It will be easiest to get to it from the city skywatchlocated in the location Auridon. Moving away from him a little, you need to go to the side the ruins of Esduin, near which the stone is located.
Having reached 160 points, you can change the sign. From Lover it is better to give up and go to shadow, which increases critical damage. This allows you to increase the damage itself. To get to the Shadow, you need to teleport to the city marbrook, located in Greenshade. There you need to leave the city and head towards the rocks located in a semicircle. There will be a sign there.
Mana templar build
Templar with a vampire build is a pretty interesting idea. Despite the contradiction from the point of view of lore (a warrior of light and a vampire - a representative of darkness), together this combination is revealed just fine.
PvE build
For a mana templar with a skill from the vampire branch, everything that is fastest and most powerful is selected. Let's take a look at both ability panels below.
Let's start with the first panel:
- Brilliant suppression. Morph from "Brilliant Destruction" from the Fury of Dawn branch. Uses mana. The enemy is set on fire, taking magic damage. If the enemy has less than 50% health, then he takes more damage. The more mana the player has, the higher the additional damage (up to 20%).
- Cleansing light. Morph from "Punishment of Light" from the same branch. Uses mana. Deals magic damage, immediately and additionally after accumulation. After - restores health to the player and allies.
- Flaming spear. Morph from "Spear Shards" from the Aedra Spear branch. Uses mana. Throws a spear that deals magic damage in a certain radius over 10 seconds. Activating a synergy restores mana or stamina.
- Blood for blood. Morph from "Eviscerate" from the branch Vampires. Health is used. Deals magic damage to the enemy, which can increase up to 100% depending on the player's health. The smaller it is, the more damage.
- Inner Light. Morph from "Magic Light" from the Mages Guild branch. Uses mana. Reveals enemies and prevents them from becoming invisible again. Adds mana and enhances the spell.
Ultimate Ability - ice comet. Morph from "Meteorite" from the branch of the Guild of Mages. Causes a comet to fall, dealing frost damage, slowing movement speed, and stunning those caught in the impact radius. After the explosion, enemies continue to take frost damage.
Now let's look at the second panel.
- Unstable wall of fire. Morph from the "Wall of Elements" weapon branch of the Staff of Destruction. Uses mana and requires a fire staff to cast. Creates a barrier of fire that deals fire damage. Enemies with the Burning status take 20% more damage. The barrier itself explodes over time, inflicting fire damage again, only stronger.
- Mystical ball. Morph from the "Necrotic Orb" from the Undaunted branch. Uses mana. Creates an orb with magic damage over 10 seconds. An ally's activation of a synergy deals additional magic damage, restores mana or stamina to an ally.
- Trap with spikes. Morph from "Kapkan" from the branch of the Guild of Fighters. Uses stamina. A trap appears with physical damage and the camp of the enemy. Increases weapon critical damage against the enemy in this trap. May work again after the first capture.
- Solar firing. Morph from "Solar Flare" from the Fury of Dawn branch. Uses mana. Strikes the enemy with magical damage, imposes a buff on the character to increase damage from normal attacks.
- Inner Light. Morph from "Magic Light" from the Mages Guild branch. Uses mana. Removes invisibility from enemies and prevents them from going into stealth. Increases maximum magicka and spell critical rating.
Ultimate Ability - sickle harvest. It is a morph of the Circular Harvest from the Aedra Spear branch. Templar spins a spear of light around him, dealing magic damage. Enemies in the player's path are dealt 60% more damage.
PvP build
Playing against other people requires the use of other skills:
- Penetrating swing. Morph from Trample from the Aedra Spear class tree. Uses mana. Hits the enemy four times with a spear. The strike is in the area, so the enemies behind will also be affected. Enemies affected by the ability are slowed down. The player is healed by 40%.
- Flaming spear. Morph from "Spear Shards" from the same branch. Uses mana.
- Brilliant suppression. Morph from "Brilliant Destruction" from the Fury of Dawn branch. Uses mana.
- Blood for blood. Morph from "Eviscerate" from the Vampire branch. Health is used.
- Any weapon skill from the Staff of Destruction tree.
Ultimate Ability - sickle harvest, ice comet or Elemental Rage (morph from Elemental Storm from the Staff of Destruction branch).
Champion system
Upon reaching level 50, the player has access to the champion system. It represents constellations, within which there are properties that can be improved by investing champion points in them.
A templar who wants to play comfortably in Hi-End content should not neglect this aspect of the game and invest champion points in the most necessary spells for the class.
Where to invest points in the Champion system:
- Sozvezdie ritual. Invest in Thaumaturge (Increasing the power of effects with periodic damage).
- Sozvezdie Atronach. You need to invest in the Staff Master.
- Sozvezdie pupil. Points are needed in Arcane Erosion and the Elementalist, as well as in Elven Blood.
- Sozvezdie Lover. Warlock and Tenacity are great options.
Consumables
Consumables include food and various potions to increase one or more attributes and give various effects.
Let's start with food:
- strong brew witch mothers. Increases mana, health, and magicka sustain for 2 hours. The ingredients are nightshade, rice, birch sap and small game. Requirements - Level 3 Recipe Upgrade and Level XNUMX Recipe Quality.
- Marinated fish in Arteium style. After it, health and magic reserves are increased for a period of two hours. The recipe can be found in Psijic's Submerged Bags on Artaeum Island. Obtained by fishing.
The only potion a mana templar needs is on increased spell power. It is made from cornflower, meadow core and Namira's rot. Additionally, such a mixture will increase the strength and critical rating of spells.
Suitable sets
For a mana templar, those sets that reveal the character as much as possible are taken as DDs. These are the following:
- "Mother's Sorrow". Raises the maximum amount of magic, as well as the critical rating of spells. Easily looted from Deshaan.
- "Servant of the New Moon". Potential set for DD. Increases critical ratings, weapon and spell power, and both types of penetration.
- "Crushing Wall" A set from the Vortex Arena, which can be accessed by purchasing the Orsinium DLC. Two items - and you can increase the damage of the Elemental Power ability.
It's better for things to have a trait called Help of the gods. It will slightly increase the effect of the Mundus stones. In the future, with advanced crafting skills, Templar can make armor and accessories with the necessary characteristics.

Did you heal on the pve build as expected? Healer should run after you? The templar's best skill is the first aedra spear, damage plus healing. It's hard without it, especially in the lungs.
Is it possible to play without vampirism? Otherwise, no one wants to bite, but there are no crowns, and asking someone all the time is annoying. In this case, it’s very disappointing that everyone is so greedy and asks for 1k crowns ...
I can bite :3
And instead of the moon, you can set the warrior? He seems to be not bad either .. There is no penetration, but more spell power + the cost of abilities does not change.
i just saw a player who was a templar and he also had some kind of pet was a big flame still spitting can you say this is a dlc? and also what class, alliance, race?
1. Regarding the pet - maybe you didn’t see him, but a summoned creature (daedroth) from the Fire Maw set. The shoulder can be obtained from the Expendables chest from Maj Al-Ragath in the Expendables Enclave, and the helmet can be obtained from the Dungeon of the Exiles II dungeon.
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylUgsHCrQTU - you can view here from 0:23. Perhaps it was about this “pet” that you meant 🙂)
2. Class, race and alliance when wearing the Firemaw set is not important. Therefore, that player could be anyone, starting with the Altmer and ending with the Orsimer (orc in our opinion).
thanks a lot
