World God of War full of all sorts of resources. Some of them fall almost at every step, but others will have to be hunted. This guide will tell you about what resources are there in God of War and how to get them.
For convenience, all resources will be divided into several groups, according to their rarity.
Where to find basic resources
- Echoes of the Mists - in ancient times, the dwarves were keen to create incredible things from the mists of Niflheim. The echo of mists is a trace of those times. The resource is used to craft and improve armor, pommel, talismans. Mined from chests in Niflheim.
- Aegir's Gold – the treasures of the giant Aegir are located in the waters of Midgard. They are knocked out of barrels and corpses, as well as from sparkling spots on the Lake of Nine.
- Mild Swartalfheim Steel - Durable shards of metal used to upgrade armor and bows. Mined from graves.
- Dust - mystical dust from broken spells, used to create all the same spells. You can get selling spells to Brok and Sindri.
Where to find rare resources
- Niflheim Alloy can be obtained from chests in the labyrinths of Niflheim.
- Solid Swartalfheim Steel - Dwarven metal needed to improve the bow and armor. You can find it in red coffins.
- Shard of the Primordial Scale of the World - a piece of the scales of the World Serpent. It is used to improve the pommel. You can get it at the Lake of Nine,
- Primordial scales worldthey are in a chest at the top of the Light Elf Outpost in the northern part of the Lake of Nine. The chest is located in a prominent place, you won’t have to look for it for a long time.
- Unstable Ore - for mining, you will have to use the cards "Bow before Thor" and "Here they will not look."
- Traveler's Grisly Trophy - needed to improve the traveler's armor set. Dropped directly after killing Travelers.
- Wreckage of an ancient needed to craft the Elder Armor set. They drop out of the Ancients.
Where to find legendary resources
- Heart of the Ancients – The Smoldering Heart of the Elder is useful for crafting the armor of the same name. Dropped by the Ancients.
- Glacial Catalyst drops out when searching for treasures on the cards "Rowers of the Njord", "Unblinking Eye".
- Tempered Swartalfheim steel - hidden in red coffins, especially hard particles of gnome metal. Needed to upgrade bows and armor.
- dragon tear - the first one drops out at the moment when Kratos saves Sindri from the dragon. Three can be obtained by freeing dragons. The fifth falls on the southern dock of the Forgotten Caverns, under the head of the dragon Baldur.
- fire emblem Randomly drops from chests when completing Muspelheim trials or, more likely, when completing Surtr's hidden trials.
- Supreme Fire Emblem Awarded for Muspelheim trials with maximum difficulty and, again, Surtr's hidden trials.
- Primordial Ore of the World - can be obtained in Iron Bay, in the southwest of the Lake of Nine. Dropped from a legendary chest hidden behind a door with three runes.
- smoking ember - Given for testing Muspelheim.
- Unquenchable coals - to receive, you need to use the cards "Island of Light" and "Pay to the Finder".
- Primordial Dust of the World located in a chest near the shore, near the Stone Falls, which is in the northeast of the temple of Tyr.
- The Pure Essence of the Worlds with a small probability can be obtained by closing the gap between the worlds.
- Alloy leiptra - Dropped from treasures, for the search of which you will need the cards "Hunter's Kingdom" and "Captain's Key".
- Haze weaving - can drop in the Niflheim labyrinth when opening gold or red chests, but the chance is small.
- Asgardian steel - drops out of each Valkyries, which Kratos should have defeated after the endgame.
- Firestorm Muspelheim will be the reward for victory over the Valkyrie in the corresponding location.
- Flame of Chaos - with it, you can pump the blades of the same name Kratos. 3 pieces drop directly into the hands of the former god of war for killing story bosses, the last one can be obtained by bringing Muspelheim's Firestorm to the dwarves
- frozen flame will be needed for Leviathan upgrades, Kratos' favorite axe. Some can be obtained by dealing with the story bosses, but to get the last one you will have to get the Ice Mists of Niflheim for the dwarves.
- Ice Mists of Niflheim - will be required to pump the Leviathan to the maximum. They lie in a chest in Ivaldi's workshop.
- oblivion stone - To obtain, you need to use the treasure maps "Bloated Corpse" and "Gift of the Turtle".
- Eternal frost obtained during a treasure hunt with the cards "Isle of Creation" and "Historian".
- Dust of the worlds most likely to fall to Kratos when closing the gaps.
- Corrupted Remains - used to upgrade hilts are the remnants of souls lost at sea. Given as a reward for completing the "Unfinished Business" quest.
Where to find epic resources
- Pristine Asgardian Steel - can drop when killing Valkyries with different probability. The impeccable steel dropped after a showdown with all the ladies is easily enough for equipment.

- Emblem of Surtra - the most significant of all the resources of Muspelheim. Awarded for successfully completing Surtra's trials, unlocked by defeating the Valkyrie.
- Fury of the Dragon - a mystical component necessary for the Legendary dwarf armor. Awarded for the quest "Glory to the King!".
- Rusty Ivaldi Armor - Rusted armor that can be used by the Dwarf Sindri. Can be found in a chest in the central hall of Niflheim.
- Sacrificial Offering for Thuru - an element needed to create Tyr armor. Awarded for completing Dead Weight, Anatomy of Hope, and Hammerfall missions.
- Traveler Armor Shard needed to create and improve the Traveler's armor. It drops out, with a small chance, from it.
