Where to find all chests and cryptograms in Far Cry 6

В Far Cry 6 quite a large map, and in the open world there are many chests that require cryptograms to open. Once you find one of the boxes, the missing ciphers can be found in nearby locations. This guide shows the location of all boxes and cryptograms in Far Cry 6.

Why do we need chests with cryptograms

By collecting items from all chests, you can get an in-game achievement "Warm-up for the brain".

Chest #1

• Location: Madrugada, Losania, outside the city of Werder, at the top of a billboard.

There will be a box near gas stations. From it you can take "Rebel Helmet MK II".

To collect the first cryptogram, you need to jump off the billboard and follow the blue marker to the south. Climbing on the roof, pick up the logo "Trompo" (16).

The second key is also in the south, in front, on the roof of the building. You must follow the blue flag which will lead you to another cryptogram "Dawn Orchid Flower» (19).

Chest #2

• Location: Madrugada, Aguas Lindas, above Ida's hideout, next to the pier.

Near the small watchtower there will be a chest. Unlocking it will give you the Chest Gear "Rebel Vest MK II".

The first cryptogram can be obtained on the island in the north. Get to it by water transport and stay close to the rock, where you can hear the bells ringing. Climbing the cliff you will find the key "Yaran Butterfly Queen" (28).

The second cryptogram is a bit harder to find. It is located on a neighboring island. As soon as you get close to it, you will notice a blue flag hanging on a ledge. Dive in a place close to the mark to collect the second key "Shark" (12) placed on top of wooden boards.

Chest #3

• Location: Madrugada, Costa del Mar, opposite Tempestad lighthouse.

There will be a chest by the wharf that will require two cryptograms to unlock. When you open it, you will receive "Rebel Gloves MK II".

To collect the first cryptogram, you need to get on a water transport and swim to the nearest rock. It will have a key attached to it. "Rooster" (10).

The second cryptogram is located near the Tempestad lighthouse. Move south a little until you reach a path leading up from the coastline. By grabbing the grappling hook, you will be able to climb the nearby cliff. A key is nailed to its top "Yara Libre" (25).

Chest #4

• Location: Esperanza, Old Pueblo, near La Divinidad Cathedral.

The chest is located on the roof, so climb to the top to get leg gear "Rebel Pants MK II".

After finding the box, you will be able to see that the zipline leads to the unfinished church. A small blue mark should appear on the balcony wall. Get to it, that's where the first key is "Rum" (11).

Return to the church through the door on the balcony. Without going down, jump over the platform and make your way to another balcony. In the building opposite the cathedral is the second diagram "La Guitarra" (02).

Chest #5

• Location: Madrugada, Costa del Mar, in El Dorado Park.

Climb the small tower to open the box and get the leg gear "Rebel Boots MK II".

To find the first cryptogram, head southeast to the water and then follow the coastline forward south. At the end, you will find a boulder on the edge of the shore, where the ringing of bells will be heard. After finding the source of the sound behind the boulder, you will receive the key "Dog" (22).

Next, run east, where you will find a curved tree. There you can find another diagram − "Pig" (03).

Chest #6

• Location: El Este, Sierra Perdida, Savannah Fields, Casa Marroquin.

A chest will be placed on the roof of the hut. To unlock it, you need to find two cryptograms, "El Crocodilo" и "Tocororo". Inside the box is a hat. "Chemical protection mask MK II".

The first key can be found on the opposite side of the lake, towards the southwest. Near the shore there will be a barn, inside which lies "El Crocodilo" (07).

The second cryptogram can be found nearby. Move southeast and you will find another barn. Take the Tocororo Key (27) from its wall.

Chest #7

• Location: El Este, Conuco, Concepción settlement.

In this location you will find another chest on the roof. After opening it, you will receive leg equipment "Boots of chemical protection MK II".

After finding the box, move north - jump over to another house, and then jump down to a small market. First key "Machete" (05) can be found in a small kiosk.

The second diagram is located on the other side of the road. Climb to the roof of the auto repair shop to collect the second key "Cup" (24).

Chest #8

• Location: Santuario Island, Quito, near Armogna, on top of Ventura.

There is another box with equipment. Inside it lie "Gloves of chemical protection MK II".

Once you get to the chest, go up to the roof of the same house. There you will find a cryptogram  "Royal Palm" (06) next to the seat.

Near the first diagram there will be graffiti that points to a cement pipe. Crawl inside it to collect the second key. "Flag of Yara" (01).

Chest #9

• Location: El Este, Sierra Perdida, Nueva Vida, below the Cauto de Paso lagoon, in a boat house.

In this place you will find a chest, inside of which there will be chest equipment. "Hazard Suit MK II".

To get the first cryptogram, "Horse" (14), get on the water transport and cross the lake. There will be a boat shed to the north - you need it.

After collecting the first key, use the water transport again to get towards the Westside. The second diagram will hang on the wall of a small house "Domino" (30).

Chest #10

• Location: El Este, La Jolla, left side of Pequeña Bay, Pride of the People Clinic.

On the roof of the building you will find a chest with leg equipment "HEM Pants MK II".

To find the first cryptogram, "Cigar" (18), go west to the huge graffiti on the side of the building. There is a key on its roof.

Second cryptogram, "Crocco Taxi" (21), located near the current building. Move to the north side, and then climb to the roof of the building by the road.

Chest #11

• Location: Valle de Oro, Balaceras, Diamante lakes, outside the settlement of Ferosa.

There will be a box with equipment next to the blue house. After opening it, you will receive wrist equipment "Fuego MK II Gloves".

To pick up the first cryptogram, get inside the yellow container. To do this, break the wooden barricade on the other side. There you will find "The Emblem of Libertad" (23).

Nearby there will be an old car, from which the ringing is clearly audible. Break the wooden plank and take the Starfish Key (04).

Chest #12

• Location: Valle de Oro, Cruz del Salvador, below the Los Sabios valley.

At the top of the watchtower there will be a crate. From there you can pick up the headgear "Fuego MK II Helmet".

The keys are located at the edges of the field. From the tower you will see holes. One of them is covered with boards on which there are barrels of explosives. Destroy them to go downstairs and pick up the cryptograms Sausep (29) and "Cat" (13).

Chest #13

• Location: Esperanza, West Lado, below Torre del Leon.

The box is located in the courtyard, next to the Siete Pajaros residential complex. From there you can pick up "Jacket Fuego MK II".

To get the first key, you need to use the grappling hook to climb the balcony. Then climb up to the roof where the cryptogram is placed in the corner "The Clasico Car". This is the same building that the chest is next to.

Next, use the zipline, and then climb to the roof through the vines. The Flamingo key will hang there.

Chest #14

• Location: Valle de Oro, Barial, Cape Muerte, below Ruben.

Next to the path there will be a box inside which lie "Pants Fuego MK II".

To get the first key, you need to head to the northeast, where you can find a wooden jetty by the river. Jump under it and on one of the beams you will see "Sapota" (20).

To get the second key, follow the coastline to the south, where there will be a cave entrance, blocked and covered with orange mesh. Destroy the barrier by throwing Motols at it. Inside the cave is a cryptogram "Coin".

Chest #15

• Location: Valle de Oro, Noventarmas, Cielo Gardens, below the Gulf of Guillermo Castillo.

At the foot of the tower is a chest. From it you can get "Fuego MK II Boots".

Climb to the top of the tower to collect the first cryptogram "Tarantula" (09).

From your current position, you will see another small tower where you can find the second key "Boxing gloves" (26).
