Genshin Impact's Top 10 Characters: June 2026 Tier List [Patch 6.6]

Kirill Chudomirovich Fleance with a lantern and Lauma in the background

Tier list of characters in Genshin Impact is a special system for assessing the abilities of each companion. The rating is divided into six categories, from the strongest to the weakest companions, and is designed to help players choose who to pull for and level. Each rank includes both damage dealers and supports for survival or boosting the team.

In our list of the best Genshin Impact heroes positions are formed by their current potential related to general game mechanics, the amount of possible teams and required investments, as well as ease of use.

Some epic or legendary heroes, whose power changes significantly with constellations, are marked with two consts next to their name in the table. The first one indicates the starting position where the hero can be used, and the second one is recommended for full implementation. If a character is mentioned in the tier list only at C6, it means that without all consts they do not work well enough in their role and, until CXNUMX is obtained, it is better to choose another companion. Also, some heroes are mentioned in two positions depending on the const and the role in the team.

S+ Tier Characters

Heroes of this tier are notable, depending on their role, for their high damage, ease of use, versatility or rare mechanics that cannot be matched by other companions. They are suitable for almost any account and will benefit the player, making it much easier for them to clear the content, and they can always be used.

Nicole

5⭐ Nicole (Pyro, catalyst)
Role Support, shieldman
Optimal constellation С2

Nicole is a handy Pyro support, providing a thick shield for allies in addition to buffs. Angel can significantly increase the attack power of both the active character and other allies, making her a viable replacement for Adventurer Bennett in most squads.

She thrives in Witchcraft-based groups, where she can provide additional damage by creating projections alongside her squadmates' attacks. For a comfortable stat balance, she needs a signal, as the buffs require 4000 ATK, which she can't handle without it. Angel Heptads It's quite difficult to obtain.

Linnea

Linnea looks to the side
5⭐️ Linnaea (Geo, onion)
Role Sub-DD, healer
Optimal constellation С2

A signature support with the Moon Crystal reaction. She deals damage with her elemental skill, which has multiple uses, and her ultimate heals all heroes in her squad. She's strictly limited in the elemental abilities of her allies, as she only synergizes with Hydro and Geo heroes.

He maintains a high ranking due to his ability to play with heroes even from outside of Nod's realm, granting them access to Lunar Reactions and serving not only as a sub-DD but also as a healer. He's an indispensable companion for Zi Bai mains or those looking to revive older Geo heroes.

Varka

5⭐️ Varka (Anemo, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С2

Ordo Magister Favonius is the core of the team, receiving all allied buffs. He wields two claymores and utilizes two elements in combat: Anemo and Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo. He builds like a standard ATK damage dealer, but teaming up is complicated by strict elemental requirements, and his signature weapon forces him to play alongside another Sabbat hero.

He essentially only has one fully functional squad: Prune, Durin, and Nicole. This team is considered one of the most powerful in the game, delivering over 150,000 damage per second. If you're willing to invest and want the best Anemo main damage dealer available, picking up the knight is a good choice.

Columbina

Columbine wakes up
5⭐️ Columbine (Hydro, catalyst)
Role Support, sub-dd
Optimal constellation С2

Columbine serves as a support for Lunar Reactions, amplifying them. She can both maintain existing synergies and convert them from "normal" damage when paired with Geo, Dendro, or Electro characters. This allows for significant diversity in team compositions and the possibility of a new gameplay experience.

For players with Nefer, Kirill, and Zi Bai, she's practically a must-have, as she's their signature support. In the 6.X meta, while Lunar teams are still favored in combat modes, having her on your account, even without knocking out Nod Krai's main DPS, will significantly ease content clearing, so even without the aforementioned heroes, she'll take your account to the next level.

Zibai

5⭐️ Zi Bai (Geo, one-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С2

Zi Bai completes the Lunar Main DPS collection, unlocking a Geo reaction. Her gameplay involves alternating between normal attacks and a special elemental skill, representing a variation of stance play. This may prove boring for players who enjoy dynamic battles and frequent character switching, and the requirement for only Hydro and Geo elements makes it difficult to create interesting teamwork.

Due to her Lunar Reactions affiliation, she ranks as high as Nefer and Kirill, sharing similar issues. Her signature support is Epic rarity, so she's stronger than them and requires Columbine for high damage output, though in her ideal teams, she justifies the investment by quickly winning all high-level fights.

Skirk

Skirk in the Primordial Sea
5⭐️ Skirk (Cryo, one-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С2
Alternative position S (without Escoffier)

Skirk focuses on Freeze reaction play in a group comprised entirely of Hydro and Cryo companions. This sets her apart from most main Frost damage dealers, and without meeting the elemental restrictions in the party, don't expect very high numbers. She's not exactly flexible, and while she's currently rightfully considered the strongest Frost damage dealer in the game, such results require a significant investment.

On the other hand, the Sinner's Pupil is quite easy to build, she is happy with with many artifact sets and free equipment. This somewhat compensates for the high cost of her teams and allies, most of which are of legendary rarity, and the simple mechanics of normal attacks make the gameplay comfortable even on mobile devices.

Mavuika

Piro Archon Mavuika
5⭐️ Mavuika (Pyro, two-handed sword)
Role Main-dd or sub-dd
Optimal constellation С2

She's notable for her massive damage output with both normal and charged attacks during the Elemental Burst, making Pyro Archon a top-tier damage dealer for her element. However, she still has support skills: a buff for the active hero with her passive ability and an E-buff that applies Pyro off-field, allowing her to serve as a sub-damage dealer in some teams.

It is very important to take into account the character's key feature: to activate the ultimate, she does not need energy, but Fighting Spirit points. You can get the points adding Natlan companions to your team or using normal attacks with an active character. In a team with Pyro Archon, there must be at least one ally from her region, otherwise it is difficult to play her effectively.

Escoffier

The Chef of Fontaine, Escoffier
5⭐️ Escoffier (Crio, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

The Chef takes the position of the long-awaited Cryo buffer, which in a team of Hydro and Cryo heroes cuts the resistance of enemies to these elements by 55%. In addition, she has decent damage of her own and good healing, and the first two consts get her to the rank of the strongest Cryo buffer in the game. All of this allows the girl to be indispensable in Frozen and Shatter teams, significantly boosting such compositions.

However, the players who prefer to play with other elements will not find her useful. Outside of her groups, she can only offer healing and off-field damage, which is not very valuable, so it is recommended only for those who mainly play with the two listed elements.

Bennett

Adventurer, Bennett
4⭐️ Bennett (Pyro, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С1

An excellent companion, valuable for its elemental explosion, "Exciting Adventure." This talent creates a fiery area within which active allies' health is restored and their attack power is increased. Depending on the equipped sword, the buff can exceed 800 attack power, greatly increasing damage dealt.

In addition, Bennett belongs to the Pyro element and has passive ability that reduces the cooldown of the E-attack when in ultimate zone. The adventurer plays well with other Pyro partners. He is able to trigger the resonance and help with energy recharge if an ally has an expensive ultimate.

Furina

Hydro Archon Furina
5⭐️ Furina (Hydro, one-handed sword)
Role Sub-dd or support
Optimal constellation С2

Furina is a versatile character who most often plays from the pocket. She fits into almost any team thanks to her unique playstyle, which combines high damage output and Hydro status, as well as buffing the squad and increasing damage output. Archon's key mechanic as a secondary damage dealer is constantly draining HP from the entire squad.

Her main advantage is that all skills scale with health, preventing prioritized stats in builds from changing. Furthermore, summons from her E-class attack automatically, which, unlike some other Hydro sub-DDs, allows her to play as a main DD against charged attacks, elemental skills, or elemental bursts. Her teams may only need an additional source of healing to quickly stack Fanfare.

Citlali

Shaman of the Huitztli tribe, Citlali
5⭐️ Citlali (Cryo, catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С2

She can create Cryo shields scaling with her Elemental Mastery. Her key feature is a buff that reduces enemy resistance to Pyro and Hydro damage when Melt or Freeze reactions occur. Depending on her team, for example, with two Fire-elemental damage dealers, she can even inflict high damage herself, striking down Cryo enemies with attacks that target their stable Pyro status.

However, for Cryo teams she is not the best option, as she is practically useless for this element, and in a Cryo + Hydro team she will only benefit Hydro companions. Her shield is considered to be top 2 or 3 in the game, which is compensated by the ability to buff and contribute damage. Her consts (C1, C2) make her buffs more powerful.

Iansan

Sports coach Iansan
4⭐️ Iansan (Electro, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С4

The heroine buffs ATK, and if there are allies from Natlan in the team, she can even heal, although her healing is not that strong and it may not be enough for difficult battles. The boost comes from her overall attack power value, which simplifies the selection of stats in artifacts.

Despite the buff's versatility, it won't work for all damage dealers. The condition requires a high level of mobility for the active companion, limiting the range of heroes who can fully utilize the buff to either plunge damage dealers or allies with specific gameplay who constantly move during combat.

Lauma

5⭐️ Lauma (Dendro, catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С1

Priestess opens the door to Lunar Budding and also buffs the existing Budding, Vegetation, and Bloom. For most similar groups, she's become a more relevant version of Nahida, as she fulfills a similar role but, thanks to her mechanics, works better against current content.

She has the best synergy with Nefer, who can be considered her signature main DD, but even without her, the girl can find a place in many groups.

Ineffa

Ineffa in the settlement of Natlana
5⭐️ Ineffa (Electro, spear)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С1

The Maidbot can create dense shields and perform off-field strikes, converting any Charged reaction caused by herself or her allies into Lunar-ChargedShe synergizes well with almost all Hydro and Electro characters, and some companions even received a certain boost from her addition to the game.

She works especially well with Fleance, complementing each other. But her significant difference from him is her sub-DD role, allowing her to play in more groups. It is likely that in the coming patches, her relevance will continue to be high, as long as Lunar Reactions remain the game's meta.

Durin

Durin writes a letter at the table
5⭐️ Durin (Pyro, one-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С0

In battle, the young man can switch between light and dark forms, which determine his current gameplay—the light version is for combat with reactions like Combustion, Overload, Dispersion, and Crystallization, while the dark version is for squads using Steam and Melt. In the first form, he can also reduce resistance to the elements involved in reactions, while in the second, he can increase his own damage.

In addition to his powerful offensive and support abilities, Durin is a Witchcraft character, allowing him to activate the corresponding resonance for himself and his allies, as well as increase his personal damage. His versatility makes him a popular choice for teams across almost all elements, making him easy to use across your account.

Chevreuse

Musketeer of Fontaine's Patrol, Chevreuse
4⭐️ Chevreuse (Pyro, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

The Patrol Worker can only be part of Overcharged squads. Her passive abilities reduce enemy Pyro and Electro resistances if the team only has Electro and Pyro companions, as well as increase attack power and grant bonus damage to allies at C6. Furthermore, her healing mechanic allows her to simultaneously occupy the healer slot, freeing up space for more useful heroes.

For hyper-carry squads, she can easily replace a number of other important buffers, but teams that fully utilize her are quite repetitive. If you build her for a specific Pyro or Electro damage dealer, she'll provide them with a significant bonus, but outside of the Overload mechanic, she's not an indispensable or priority hero.

Nefer

Nefer and her two copies
5⭐️ Nefer (Dendro, catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С2
Alternative position A (without Lauma)

The heroine plays with Lunar Budding, and during battle, she summons her shadows and uses charged attacks. Cores created in her party cannot be affected by Pyro or Electro and cannot create Bloom or Vegetation, respectively, so the ideal team contains only Dendro and Hydro companions.

The second level is critically important for her MoonsignLauma is her ideal ally, but if she's unavailable, Aino can be added; the three of them work equally well together. She requires a lot of investment, the right group, and preferably a signature spell, but in return, she delivers high damage.

Kirill Chudomirovich Fleance

5⭐️ Kirill Chudomirovich Fleance (Electro, spear)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С1
Alternative position A (without Ineffa)

The Lightbringer is the center of the group, supported by his companions, and therefore cannot occupy other positions. Although his stat selection is not much different from most classic main damage dealers, his playstyle is significantly more challenging due to the strict team selection requirements, as he only uses a single, new reaction—Moon Charge.

He's not suitable for players who enjoy trying out different groups, and is heavily dependent on Ineffa, which is what gives him his S rank. However, even without it, thanks to numerous buffs in combat modes and easy enemies, he'll be a comfortable contender in the next few patches.

Fischl

Princess of Condemnation, Fischl
4⭐️ Fischl (Electro, onion)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С6

The Princess of Condemnation is primarily used as an Electro applicator due to her versatility. She doesn't need to be on the battlefield for long, quickly using her abilities and retreating back to her "pocket," which frees up more opportunities for the main damage dealer. With the right timing, she can remain on the battlefield for almost the entire battle, granting a constant Electro status effect for reactions.

After completing your personal quest Unexpected Assignment: Allan Smithee Her cons are changing, and when Magic Resonance is active, she buffs her ATK during Overload and her MS when interacting with Hydro, significantly strengthening herself and her main damage dealer. A direct increase to the damage cap for both the princess and her allies has elevated her to S+, making her more desirable.

Sucrose

Alchemist's Apprentice, Sucrose
4⭐️ Sucrose (Anemo, catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

The young alchemist's apprentice rightfully holds a position as one of the best Anemo heroes in the game, and is also of epic rarity. She's extremely beneficial for teams fighting against Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro heroes, as she transfers a portion of her Elemental Mastery to her allies. This allows them to boost their MS to 300, which is currently one of the most sought-after stats in the game.

To belong to Witchcraft returned her to an S+ rating. Previously, she was ranked S, but now she's back on top thanks to her MC's usefulness for Lunar teams and her new Magic Resonance abilities. With it, she not only becomes even stronger as a buffer, but also regains a foothold in teams where she'd previously been outclassed by her alternatives, such as Kazuha in Roast.

S-rank characters

Most of these great heroes are slightly inferior in damage or versatility to S+ characters, but they still easily fit into many teams and show good results with epic gear. There are some 4⭐ heroes in the rating, they have no counterparts for their role and / or are significantly boosted at C6.

Yelan

Spy from the Rift, Ye Lan
5⭐️ E Lan (Hydro, onion)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С0

She's one of the strongest and most versatile Hydro applicators and buffers. She can fit into almost any team whose primary damage dealer deals damage with normal attacks, as they're needed to activate her ultimate. For this reason, she doesn't synergize well with heroes that deal charged attacks or skills, which somewhat reduces her versatility and ability to be used with many companions, such as Mawuika, who can deal with charged attacks, Mizuki, Mualani, Chaska, and so on. Furthermore, there are currently few stable Hydro applicators in the game—Ye Lan can only be fully replaced by Xingqiu, and much less often by Furina or Kokomi.

In addition to her abilities, the spy is easy to build. Due to her HP skill scaling, she is usually easier to build than other heroes. She is able to use the Favonius bow for equipment, and her artifacts are obtained in one of the most popular dungeons or crafted with Alchemy.

Xilonen

Shilonen on the tree
5⭐️ Shilonen (Geo, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С2

One of the best heroes in his role in the game, who debuffs by cutting off enemy resistances, heals allies and can wear a very useful set Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City. The heroine plays well with Electro, Hydro, Cryo and Pyro elements, but does not interact with Anemo or Dendro, and is also not very useful for mono-Geo teams at C0.

All her abilities, including the ones that deal damage, scale off defense. This makes her much easier to build, without forcing you to choose between support and sub-DPS builds. Her second const is considered one of the strongest in the game, as it gives huge buffs to allies.

Lohen

5⭐ Loen (Cryo, spear)
Role Main-dd, driver
Optimal constellation С1

Loen occupies the position of the primary Cryo damage dealer from Infusion, who can be both the primary source of damage and the driver of reactions. He relies on sub-damage dealers in his teams, who must deal consistent high damage to build up his stacks.

Currently, Vice-Copitan is limited to Freeze and Melt commands, as he lacks the ability to deal sufficient damage otherwise. Furthermore, he's a Witchcraft hero, and without resonance, he loses much of his damage output, making him a prisoner of a limited number of teammates.

Varesa

Warrior Varesa in the Electro Tribe
5⭐️ Varesa (Electro, catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С2

Varesa can play virtually any Electro Reaction and, by sheer numbers, is considered the best main damage dealer of her element, especially in Overload. She ranked highly since release, but despite strengthening her position thanks to Durin, the lack of synergy with Nicole, which buffed other damage dealers of this element, lowered her rank. Now the gap with other companions in the same role is not as large, and there's no point in picking her just for damage.

Arlecchino

The fourth of the Harbingers of Fatui, Harlequin
5⭐️ Harlequin (Pyro, spear)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

A spearwoman with unusual mechanics "Debt of Life", who deals the main damage in a team, while preferring to play without healers. She has high damage output, excels in both mono-Pyro and reaction-based teams, and requires standard attack power and critical hits as stats. To fully utilize her abilities, she requires a signature set, and her additional advantages include independence from constellations.

Before Mavuika's arrival, she held an S+ position, but after Pyro Archon's release, she became the top-two fire-element main damage dealer. While the Father's power is sufficient for completing content, the difference in damage output for the same investment is too significant to be overcome through stat balance or party quality.

Neuvillette

Judge Fontaine, Judex Nevillette
5⭐️ Nevillet (Hydro, catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С1

Judge Fontaine has powerful Hydro damage and an unusual charged attack mechanic. His gameplay isn't particularly dynamic – he takes a long time to charge up his attack and moves slowly while the ability is active. At the same time, his high damage and simple rotation allow for a relaxed pace. To maximize his damage, he requires teammates of at least two different elements, as he gains passive stacks through reactions that enhance his charged attacks.

Over time, he's fallen to S-rank, as opponents in current content typically have mechanics that aren't ideal for Judex, and it's often more beneficial to take a squad with another main damage dealer. He's still one of the best in his element, but among all the main damage dealers, he's no longer suitable for almost every fight.

Xiangling

Chef from Li Yue, Xiangling
4⭐️ Xiangling (Pyro, Spear)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С4

Xiangling is a standard character, available to all players early on, which doesn't diminish her usefulness. While she thrives in Constances, like many Epic companions, she's already quite strong at C0, rightfully earning her place as one of the best Pyro applicators in the game.

She's fairly player-friendly, as she only needs to use her ult on cooldown to be useful. However, making a truly powerful build can take time, as she needs crits, energy recharge, and elemental mastery in the teams that play off Vaporize.

Xingqiu

Li Yue Guild Disciple, Xingqiu
4⭐️ Xingqiu (Hydro, one-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С6

Thanks to his abilities, he's an indispensable ally for teams where the main damage dealer/driver hits with normal attacks and requires a stable Hydro status for reactions. These are often teams with a Pyro main damage dealer or teams with reactions like Charged or Vegetation.

It helps with group survivability, as after the ultimate ends, the swords restore a small amount of health to the active hero, increasing overall survivability. Due to its rarity and lower damage output, as well as weak synergy with Nod-side characters, it is inferior to its alternatives.

Kazuha

Ronin Kazuha in Inazuma
5⭐️ Kazuha (Anemo, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С2

With the release of the Lunar Region, he lost his title as the best Anemo support, as companions in the current patches don't require the elemental damage buff and Ronin himself, making him a support exclusively for older heroes.

The build only requires the Viridescent Venerer set for Elemental Mastery, and there are plenty of free options for gear. With this investment, it easily reduces enemy resistances, pulls enemies within a decent radius, deals good damage with Dispel, and grants an affix that increases elemental damage to allies.

Nahida

Archon of Wisdom, Nahida
5⭐️ Nahida (Dendro, catalyst)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С0

The Archon of Wisdom is one of the best and most indispensable characters for almost any Dendro squad. She can inflict a powerful Dendro status on enemies, which activates each time she closes a reaction on an enemy. Her ultimate is useful for an active ally who needs to boost their MS, as it buffs their MS based on their Elemental Mastery.

Despite her title as Archon of her element, she currently ranks S-, not S+. This is due to the arrival of Lauma, who has become her direct and more powerful competitor in teams ranging from regular and Lunar Budding, Vegetation, and Bloom. This situation may change after the end of the Lunar Reaction meta and the return of Stimulate, where Priestess can't compete.

Zhongli

Geo Archon Zhongli and Azhdaha
5⭐️ Zhongli (Geo, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

He possesses the most powerful shield in the game and passively increases allies' damage by reducing enemy physical and elemental resistances. He's versatile and doesn't rely on consumables, making him one of the best support characters in the game for a long time. Depending on the resources invested and the team, his ultimate can be used as an additional source of damage, hitting enemies for 100k+, or ignored entirely to save time in battle.

One of the key advantages of the Geo Archon is his complete independence from the artifact set. You don't even need to a get full set, choosing separate pieces with the largest amount of HP% sub-stats is enough. If you want to minmax Zhongli, there are many options to choose from, suitable for different teams.

Mualani

Surf Master, Mualani
5⭐️ Mualani (Hydro, catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

The girl deals the most of her damage through normal attacks and has her damage scaling off HP. Her skills imply playing via Vaporize, and her mechanics allow you to trigger reactions with each hit, so the girl is best revealed in pairs with Pyro heroes.

Due to her high health value, she is easier to play, as she has higher survivability than other heroes scaling off attack power. There are also many suitable supports in the game with whom she is able to play, so it is easy to find a strong squad for her. Due to the low need for Pyro status, she does not require the best Pyro sub-DPS and can show good results with less popular heroes.

Kinich

Saurian Hunter Kinich
5⭐️ Kinich (Dendro, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

The young man plays mainly in Burning and Blooming squads, as he receives a buff to the damage from these reactions. He deals most of his damage through the use of E and the ult. Regular attacks are also used in his rotation, but they deal less damage. Due to the way Burning works, he does not need elemental mastery, so he will not require Nahida in his squad to maximize his potential.

This makes him the best choice for the second Dendro damage dealer position in situations where you already have one on your account. He only needs Pyro allies, among which there are enough free options, with which he can deal more than decent damage and clear content.

Chasca

Peacekeeper from Natlan, Chaska
5⭐️ Chaska (Anemo, onion)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С1

Despite being an Anemo element, she stands out among similar companions because she doesn't rely on pure Anemo damage or Dispel, but rather on infusing her attacks with other elements. For this reason, she requires strong sub-DPS with a good combination of reactions to effectively overlap elements, and a lack of Geo or Dendro allies.

Playing via Anemo Resonance and Anemo Buffers is not quite alright, at least at C0. Bullets that have not been colored into one or another element have much lower damage multipliers, so building her into a hyper-carry is not particularly profitable. Also, she's different from most main DPS in terms that that she does not care about the strength of the elemental status inflicted by sub-DPS, it is enough for her that they simply belong to the Pyro, Hydro, Cryo or Electro elements.

Emilie

Criminal Perfumer Emilia
5⭐️ Emilia (Dendro, spear)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С0

Perfumer plays exclusively in Combustion-based teams to apply the Dendro element. She has fairly high damage output, which can be maximized by placing her in a team with a constant Combustion reaction, a simple build with plenty of suitable gear and teams. Despite her situational nature, she performs extremely well in the right teams, justifying her elimination.

However, Emilia is not the character that brings Burning to life for any Pyro or Dendro heroes. There are no built-in buffs for allies in her skills, and she mostly serves as a reliable sub-DPS, providing a large amount of Dendro status while off-field.

Shenhe

The Hermit of the World of Adepts, Shen He
5⭐️ Shen He (Cryo, spear)
Role Sub-DD and support
Optimal constellation С2

The Recluse can simultaneously inflict Cryo status on enemies and buff this element in her allies. She only buffs Cryo, so her teams are strictly limited, as they must have at least one strong Cryo hero who can utilize the buffs.

While she is unique in her role and has virtually no counterparts other than Rosaria (to some extent), this indispensability is also her downside as she will bring little value outside of her signature teams. However, if the main strength of the account is Cryo companions, she will be the best choice for them as she is virtually unpretentious in terms of building and only needs attack power and energy recharge.

Mona

Astrologer and fortune teller Mona
5⭐️ Mona (Hydro, catalyst)
Role Support and sub-dd
Optimal constellation С0

Despite being a standard character, Astrologer can still be a powerful support for other damage dealers even in current high-level content thanks to her reaction assists and Omen. While she won't be able to provide enough status boost to allies who are very demanding, she can act as a buffer and close the Resonance gap.

After completing the quest "A dry well doesn't reflect the stars." She gains magical abilities, boosting her to S-rank. Omen's duration, previously too short to fully utilize, can now be easily extended, increasing the damage output of teams using it to nearly double their previous results.

Albedo

The Alchemist and the "Artificial Human", Albedo
5⭐️ Albedo (Geo, one-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С0

Alchemist is a pocket hero from the E-tier, who deals Geo damage alongside the active character and has elemental skill scales based on defense. Prince of Chalk was controversial from the start, but after its release resonance of Witchcraft significantly improved his old skills, which brought him to S-rank.

He's become more stable in combat; his flower is now indestructible, and the elemental itself has gained additional scale and now packs a noticeably heavier punch. Synergy with other Arcane Rite characters has also had a significant impact, as he works well with almost all of them. In situations where an account already has a companion of this faction and needs a partner, an alchemist is often the best choice.

Klee

Spark Knight Klee at the book
5⭐️ Kli (Pyro, catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

By acquiring personal buffs through the quest The Great Witch's Test Mission has become more user-friendly and gained several powerful synergies with newly released characters. The overall build principle remains unchanged, but many aspects of rotation and skill functionality have been improved.

Klee's promotion to rank S was influenced not only by her increased combat comfort but also by the introduction of the Witchcraft system as a whole, as she forms a powerful synergy with almost every hero with this effect. Due to the mutual buff, new teams with her perform significantly better in total damage than older squads.

Venti

Anemo Archon, Venti
5⭐️ Venti (Anemo, onion)
Role Main DD, support
Optimal constellation С0

Even though Anemo Archon has several alternatives in the game (Kazuha, Sucrose), he is still quite strong and capable of closing down actual content, especially with active resonance. HexenzirkelFixing old issues has returned him to the S-position, as he now has more powerful damage output, can fill the support slot for a wind-based main DPS, and has received useful effects in constants.

Synergy with Pyro, the Arcane Rite heroes Durin and Klee, allows you to immediately form the core of your future party with a strong damage dealer and a support, freeing up your options for the remaining two allies. For players with a limited hero pool, this ability comes in handy thanks to the ability to fulfill two roles in a squad, adapting to the battlefield.

Prune

5⭐ Prune (Anemo, catalyst)
Role Sub/DD and support
Optimal constellation С6
Alternative position And as a secondary damage dealer

The girl is a support character whose abilities are tailored for playing against Anemo heroes due to the need to trigger the Dispel reaction. It increases their attack power, as well as the damage of all abilities, including their skill, ultimate, and punches.

The heroine belongs to the Witchcraft faction, so she plays best only with Varka and Venti in the main damage dealer position, and can be considered a specialized support for them. In other teams, she doesn't perform very well, with rare exceptions, such as with Wanderer or Pyro and Electro damage dealers. Furthermore, she is heavily dependent on C6—without all the consumables, the window to her ultimate is too long.

Illuga

4⭐️ Illugi (Geo, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

The young man serves as a specialized Moon Crystal support, increasing allies' defense and buffing Elemental Mastery. His damage output is quite low, and he's unable to compensate for the lack of group buffs with his personal damage. He's ranked S because he's still irreplaceable in his role, despite his limited range of uses.

A-rank characters

Quasi-elite characters you shouldn't pass on. These heroes have high potential, but there are some drawbacks or leveling difficulties that prevent them from being considered best for the account. In most cases, they suffer from lack of versatility or have problems with current content, which makes them weaker than the ones listed above. For a good result, most of the heroes require serious investments in the form of legendary or epic C6 allies and equipment.

Xianyun

Adept Crane, Xian Yun
5⭐️ Xian Yun (Anemo, catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

Adept not only deals high damage herself, but also fills the healer, sub-DD, and buffer slots simultaneously, allowing almost any ally to play against attacks while downed. Thanks to her good healing, she easily ensures team survivability, and synergizes best with Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, and Electro main DDs thanks to her Anemo element, the ability to perform a Dispel reaction, and the ability to wear a set. Viridescent Venerer.

However, it's worth keeping in mind that not all companions can play off of plunge attacks (heroes with a stance mechanic, such as Ayato and Tartaglia, are often exceptions), and not all heroes have high damage scales on their falling attacks. Thus, it can provide a lot of benefit to an account, but it's not universal or essential for knocking down enemies.

Baizhu

The owner of the medicine shop, Bai Zhu
5⭐️ Bai Zhu (Dendro, catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

Baizhu combines the roles of a healer and a reaction buffer, which makes him a popular choice for Dendro teams, especially when playing through Hyperbloom Although his shield is rather symbolic, this is compensated by fairly stable and comfortable healing, as well as an increase in interruption resistance for active allies' attacks.

For squads focused on elemental damage other than Dendro, there are often better alternatives, but in Dendro builds he is almost irreplaceable. In addition, he does not require large investments and copes with his task perfectly even without consts and legendary gear. For the support's role, it is enough to have HP and energy recharge for secondary stats, but the preference for the sub-DPS position will force you to get C2 and balance stats carefully.

Nilou

Dancer from Sumeru, Nilu
  • Rarity: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  • Weapon: one-handed sword:
  • Element: Hydro
  • Role: primary and secondary damage dealer
  • Guide: Nilou build
  • Recommended constellation: C0-C2
5⭐️ Nilu (Hydro, one-handed sword)
Role Main-dd or sub-dd
Optimal constellation C0-C2

The Dancer's gameplay is notable for the fact that she plays exclusively through Bloom with other Hydro heroes and Dendro elements, since otherwise her passives are disabled. On the one hand, this provides an opportunity to fully play via this rare reaction, on the other hand, it greatly limits her team setups, since there are very few good Dendro allies for team diversity. Some of them are often busy in other groups, while others play through other reactions (for example, Kinich and Emilia via Burning). In addition, her power is significantly boosted by C2, which makes her a strong debuffer for her teams.

She's fairly easy to build, since she only needs HP to summon cores. But if you want to make her your main damage dealer via other reactions and not rely on Bloom only, she immediately becomes a much more demanding unit, since it's hard to balance HP, Elemental Mastery, Crit Damage, and Crit Chance at once. Overall, there's not much point in an alternative build, since there are many other, more profitable crit Hydro main DPS.

Kuki Shinobu

Gang member, Kuki Shinobu
4⭐️ Kuki Shinobu (Electro, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С2

Cookie isn't so much about healing as she is about maintaining a stable status for reaction-based play. She works best against Dendro heroes with Stimulate and Vegetate thanks to her Elemental Mastery build, but she can also easily fit into teams with Charged, Overload, Disperse, or Superconductor, which require a lot of Electro status. Despite her advantages, she doesn't work well against ranged damage dealers like Tignari, as she forces them to get closer to enemies, as her ability only hits at medium range.

The girl is an epic companion, but, unlike the others, is not too demanding of consts. She is able to easily perform her functions even at C0, but any ectra constellations significantly simplify her gameplay. For example, C2 allows her to use her skill without gaps.

Razor

Wolf Boy Razor
4⭐️ Razor (Electro, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С6
Alternative position D

The wolf boy's main damage is physical, but after completing his task With Lupical he acquires abilities Hexenzirkel and becomes one of the strongest Electro companions in his best groups with Durin.

In these, he even surpasses Clorinda and Raiden in pure damage output, albeit only slightly, given proper playstyle, so he can compete with them in this role and share the same A rank. His basic physical build remains extremely weak, and there's no point in developing it in the standard direction.

Ororon

Hero of Natlan, Ororon
4⭐️ Ororon (Electro, Bow)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С2

The young man primarily plays through the Charged reaction, partially acting as a buffer. Due to the set Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City he is great not only in Hydro-Electro teams, but also in any squads capable of trigerring a reaction and requiring an elemental buff.

He has a fairly stable Electro status and the ability to buff allies' attack power. He is able to be a sub-DPS, for example, instead of Fischl or Beidou, although due to the difference in some functions he plays differently and does not cover the same needs they do.

Raiden Shogun (Beel)

Archon of Thunder, Shogun Raiden
5⭐️ Shogun Raiden (Electro, spear)
Role Main-dd and sub-dd
Optimal constellation С2
Alternative position S for Vegetation

Can act as a squad driver, mainly playing with allies who deal damage from the pocket, and as a sub-DPS for detonating blooms. Among the main advantages are energy recharge to allies, high explosive damage with the ult and a stable Electro status. Archon plays well in both revolver and hyper-carry squads, especially if there are suitable supports.

Due to such versatility, it is easy to find use for her on the account. Her strongest driver team aka 'the national' consists of epic heroes. Hyper-carry squads are more difficult to play, as they require more resources, and, as a rule, attention when performing rotation, but they dish out spectacular damage. If there are Dendro heroes on the account, you can use an E-attack to burst blooms simply by stacking maximum amount of elemental mastery.

Hu Tao

Funeral director Hu Tao
5⭐️ Hu Tao (Pyro, spear)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С1

Her combat tactics are built around constantly keeping her HP within critically low limits, as she increases her own attack power when losing health, forcing her to play exclusively with shielders. A constant Pyro effect can be applied to enemies with an elemental skill, and she can heal in critical situations with a ghost that appears during an elemental explosion.

Despite holding the lead among Pyro main-DDs for a long time, she's now fallen behind Harlequin and Mavuika. Harbinger, while similar in playstyle, isn't as reliant on her first constellation, while Pyro Archon has more powerful buttons and simpler attachments. In her best groups, with her first constellation and signature, she can produce S-rank results.

Kokomi

Priestess of Watatsumi Island, Kokomi
5⭐️ Kokomi (Hydro, catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

Considered one of the most convenient and useful healers in the game with minimal investment (just stock up on HP and energy regeneration). Capable of restoring health to an entire squad or a specific character in a matter of seconds.

Although the Hydro status from her is not very high, it is enough for some damage dealers, and using the catalyst opens the way for her to become a buffer through equipment Thrilling Tales of Dragon SlayersHowever, she's less comfortable to use in Lunar Charge teams, and in Freeze teams, she's no longer the ideal water support, so her value to the account has diminished.

Clorinde

The Court Duelist of Fontaine, Clorinda
5⭐️ Clorinda (Electro, one-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

A significant percentage of the Judicial Duelist's damage comes from standard attacks. In combat, she activates a stance during which she attacks enemies with musket shots, significantly simplifying her rotation. Furthermore, most of her skills rely on the Life Debt debuff, which is inflicted by both the Duelist herself and any healers on her team.

With the arrival of Ororon, who can serve as both a buffer and a battery, the Duelist has gained new life. While she still holds her own as a good damage dealer and is friendly to various builds, including F2P players, there are stronger options.

Jean

Deputy Master of Mondstadt, Jinn
5⭐️Djinn (Anemo, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

Despite being greatly underestimated at her release, with the release of Furina, the mage went up to high rankings. Due to powerfully healing the entire team at once, she is extremely advantageous as a healer, and belonging to the Anemo element allows her to wear the Viridescent Venerer set and cut off enemy resistances.

Thus, she fulfills two roles instead of one: a debuffer and a healer. C4 opens access to the support role for Anemo damage dealers, and C2 increases the attack power stat of allies by 15%. However, her pull is quite weak compared to most other Anemo heroes, so it is better not to take her in battles against a group of enemies.

Lan Yan

Chenyu Village Resident Lan Yan
4⭐️ Lan Yan (Anemo, Catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

This girl is an Anemo shielder playing off attack power, who colors her shield in the elements of her enemies and increases resistance to them. Without C6, she has troubles with skill uptime, but the second charge on the E-attack allows her to add comfort and survivability to the game. She plays well with Hydro and Electro allies as a driver, and among her passive talents there is an additional boost scaling off her elemental mastery.

As a classic shielder that acts from the pocket, she shows herself no worse than others, occupying top 2-3 position in terms of shield durability. However, the shield is not her only bonus: being a representative of the Anemo element, she cuts off the resistance of enemies, which at the moment only one other shielder, Zhongli, is able to do.

Wriothesley

Duke of Fortress Meropides, Risley
5⭐️ Risley (Cryo, catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С1
Alternative position B (on C0)

A versatile hero, particularly effective in Melting-based squads. While he's not essential for an account, he completely fills the need for a Melting damage dealer. His primary critical damage stat greatly simplifies item selection and stat balancing, but when combined with a full signature set and the Treasury Oversight catalyst, issues with excessive critical chance can arise.

However, at C0, he can't perform well enough for an A-rank, and without a const, he's more of a B-rank. Unlocking the first const makes him a consistently good core hero and is highly recommended if you plan to main him.

Chiori

Fashion designer, Tiori
5⭐️ Tiori (Geo, one-handed sword)
Role Sub-dd and main-dd
Optimal constellation С1

She has mixed attack and defense scaling, but relies more on the latter. At C0, she's highly team-dependent and requires allies capable of deploying Geo constructs, which significantly limits the pool of good teams. Thanks to Geo infusion from her passive, she has good main damage potential, but requires high-quality items or a sixth constellation to achieve this.

Lyney

Magician-illusionist Lini
5⭐️ Lini (Piro,bow)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С1

A character who thrives on his charged attacks. He can perform well in squads through reactions, but his skills are still geared toward playing with other Pyro heroes. His passive increases damage to enemies affected by this element and depending on the number of Pyro allies in the squad. While somewhat limited in his utility, he compensates for this with high damage scales, a large number of F2P allies, and a friendly approach to epic weapon selection.

Alhaitham

Secretary of the Academy, Al-Haytham
5⭐️ Al-Haytham (Dendro, one-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

He excels in reaction-based teams thanks to the scaling from Elemental Mastery. Of all the Dendro groups, he prefers options based on Vegetation and Stimulation. His build is quite similar to that of a "classic" crit-based damage dealer, except that he'll choose Elemental Mastery over Attack Power in most situations.

Flexibility against single targets and groups of enemies is also an incomparable strength of this hero. However, he has a rather complex mechanic for accumulating and consuming Mirrors, so he requires getting used to mechanics and rotations to achieve maximum damage. In addition, although most of his best allies are of epic rarity, he does not have such a wide choice for the equipment.

Yae Miko

Sakura Shrine Priestess, Yae Miko
5⭐️ Yae Miko (Electro, catalyst)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С0

The Narukami Temple Priestess prefers to play in the pocket, but with proper buildup and significant investment, she can also become a main damage dealer. She's fairly easy to use and deals high damage both from the pocket and with her ultimate on the field, making her not only a useful Electro-Applicator but also an additional source of damage. While she benefits significantly from a signature ability, it's not essential for her, as it can be replaced with free options.

A significant drawback is her totems, which take time to place and disappear after using her ultimate. She performs best in teams with Dendro, but can also be used in teams with other reactions, such as Charged, Moon Charge, and Overload.

Navia

Boss Spina di Rosula, Navia
5⭐️ Navia (Geo, two-handed sword)
Role Main-dd and sub-dd
Optimal constellation С0

She plays with Crystallization, but doesn't abandon the usual builds based on attack and crit. Thanks to her element and gameplay tied to Crystallization's reaction, she can act as a hyper-carry with her own stats, or as a sub-DD and buffer with her Archaic Stone set.

In most of her best teams, she plays as the main active hero on the field, but in some cases, she may only enter the fight to reset her ult and E-key. This significantly expands the list of teams in which she excels. The Spina di Rosula leader plays best with Pyro, Electro, Hydro, and Cryo allies, as she receives an attack damage buff from them and fully utilizes the Crystallize mechanic. However, there is currently no content in the game in which she excels above other damage dealers.

Aino

4⭐️ Aino (Hydro, two-handed sword)
Role Support and sub-dd
Optimal constellation С6

Although the Dzin-Klats Workshop mechanic cannot independently cause Lunar Reactions in the squad, at the moment she is the most optimal support companion for Nod-edge due to her sixth constellation, the ability to close Lunar Resonance and the effects of local sets.

Those players who play only with old companions will not need the girl, since as an alternative use it only works in groups through Charged, and even then not at the best level. It is recommended to invest in her, first of all, for Fleance mainers who do not have Ineffa.

Ayaka

Heiress of the Kamisato family, Ayaka
5⭐️ Ayaka (Cryo, one-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С2
Alternative position S (with Escoffier)

The heroine's damage comes from charged attacks and elemental bursts. Her element allows her to play in both Freeze and Melt teams, although with the arrival of Risley, this playstyle has become less of a priority. Her build offers additional convenience, as she doesn't necessarily need her signature move, which can easily be swapped out for other options.

However, she is not as good against bosses, which appear in current content more and more often. Frozen does not work on them, which means the main advantage of this playstyleis lost. For the same reason, you cannot get additional crit chance with the set Blizzard Strayer , and it becomes harder to gain energy, making it much more difficult to play Ayaka.

Her ultimate, despite the huge damage, has enough disadvantages. Firstly, high elemental burst cost forces you to get 130-140% of energy recharge. Secondly, her ultimate faces one direction, which makes Frozen work better than Melt, since it is easier to hit the statues with a blow.

Yun Jin

Opera singer, Yun Jin
4⭐️ Yun Jin (Geo, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

The singer acts as a support for heroes who attack with normal attacks. Due to her belonging to the Geo element, she can wear the Archaic Petra support set and buff allies' elemental damage, although for a team with physical damage dealers, it is better to choose the Husk of Opulent Dreams set. At the moment, there are not many companions in the game whose entire damage depends on normal attacks, but for them, the girl is a stable and reliable ally.

Faruzan

Professor of the Academy, Faruzan
4⭐️ Faruzan (Anemo, onion)
Role Support and sub-dd
Optimal constellation С6

The best partner for any critical damage dealer of her element. Unlike most other heroes of this element, she focuses on increasing the damage of the Anemo element itself, without the need for a Dispel reaction. Thanks to her ultimate, she reduces enemy resistance by 30% and also provides bonus damage depending on the talent level. Her own damage is also quite high, allowing her to be played not only as a support but also as a secondary damage dealer.

Gaming

Mercenary and Dancer, Ka Min
4⭐️ Ka Ming (Pyro, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С6

The character is highly dependent on having open cons. Due to the fact that his damage is based on falling attacks, he requires a special rotation when playing with Xingqiu or Yelan, but is still a very good and stable damage dealer with all the const. Due to his high base attack value and getting additional stats when ascending, he is easier to balance than most other epic main DPS, but it is worth considering that there are not many weapons available for him in the game.

Rosaria

Member of the Church of Favonia, Rosary
4⭐️ Rosaria (Cryo, spear)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С6

The nun's ultimate ability creates a Cryo field that periodically hits enemies. Its main feature is its ability to increase the critical chance of allies based on its own and the rapid recharge of its elemental skill. All this makes it a good ally for Cryo main damage dealers with expensive ultimates that require batteries.

Xiao

Adept from Wanshu, Xiao
5⭐️ Xiao (Anemo, spear)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

Adept plays around with his ultimate's plunging attacks. He has dynamic gameplay and requires tracking enemy positions to land his plunge attacks. This mechanic can easily become boring, and the young man lacks variety in his rotation, as he can't use normal or charged attacks.

The hero is capable of dealing significant damage in a short period of time, but is highly dependent on his team and build. He constantly loses HP, requiring a strong shielder or healer, and is also dependent on Xian Yun and Faruzan, who provide him with more damage than other supports. He also requires a careful item build, as his ultimate is quite expensive, so in addition to the standard attack damage and critical hits, he will need a lot of energy regeneration.

Charlotte

Steam Bird journalist, Charlotte
4⭐️ Charlotte (Cryo, catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

The Fontaine Reporter is a strong applicator and perfectly balances between two roles: secondary damage dealer and healer. In a squad with characters from his region, he gets a bonus to healing, otherwise - Cryo damage bonus. This buff fits both builds and does not lose relevance if you choose differents squads. The only drawback worth paying attention to is that his consts are extremely important for the best play.

Collei

The Botanist's Apprentice, Colley
4⭐️ Colleys (Dendro, bow)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С0

The girl occupies the position of a support hero in squads that play off Dendro reactions. She is perfect for a group with Electro heroes for Quicken, and also fits well in squads with Hydro and Pyro. Her main strength is appyling Dendro status reliably with her ult and distributing EM with C4.

Note that her Elemental Burst strikes are automatic, they do not depend on what other allies do, unlike Nahida's marks, for example. Therefore, she can not only become a budget replacement for the Dendro Archon, but even be better than her in Burning teams. In Dendro+Pyro squads, she is most often taken as the second Dendro ally, which improves her position in the tier list.

Layla

Astrology student, Laila
4⭐️ Layla (Cryo, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

The girl can provide her squad with a permanent and quite durable shield scaling off her health. However, protection from incoming damage is not the only thing in the arsenal of the eternally sleepy student. She can also deal Cryo damage in an area, which is beneficial for Superconduct, Melt and Frozen squads, and even grants her allies a small buff if you have her C4.

Among the disadvantages, it is worth highlighting extremely low damage dealt with abilities if you don't have her C6. In general, this is a good hero for her role, she only needs to wear all the HP pieces to be useful to the team.

Yaoyao

Disciple of the Adepts, Yao Yao
4⭐️ Yao Yao (Dendro, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С1

The girl is capable of healing and dealing damage outside of combat, thereby inflicting Dendro or closing her reactions. All this adds flexibility to her role, but at the same time complicates her build: she heals based on HP, and her skill damage scales with attack power. However, if she's not required to generate her own HP, but simply inflict status effects to maintain reactions, this will become a problem.

She copes very well with her function as a Dendro healer and applicator, especially on budget accounts, since she covers two needs of the squad at once: everlasting status and healing. Her C1 assumes playing with a Dendro main DPS, since she gives an elemental bonus to this element.

Diona

Bartender "Cat's Tail", Diona
4⭐️ Diona (Cryo, bow)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

Diona is a great support companion that can fill the shielder slot with some extra healing. Her abilities prevent her from being a full-fledged Cryo applicator outside of her ult, but she can be a battery for a main DPS or trigger reactions with her Elemental Mastery buff at C6.

Without consts, she is much inferior to Layla or other shielders. In addition, her shield lasts less than its cooldown, which is why it is critical for her to have an R5 Sacrificial Bow. However, all the shortcomings are compensated by her simple build, since the girl only needs HP and energy recharge.

Pyro Traveler

Pyro the Traveler and Paimon
5⭐️ Pyro the Traveler (Pyro, one-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С1

By acquiring Pyro in Natlan, the Traveler becomes a pocket-sized damage dealer with a buffering function. The skill creates a ring of fire that persists when switching to another character and hits enemies with Pyro damage over time. Combined with abilities from Natlan, this allows Pyro to wear a support set from Natlan and be a powerful buffer.

Unlocking C6 opens up the option to build it into the core of a squad. However, it's not particularly advantageous in this role, as there are many other more powerful main DPS of this element in the game. It's better to use it as a Pyro sub-DPS in teams for status and buffs.

B-rank characters

These heroes have some development potential, but they are too demanding, situational, or have more powerful competitors that perform the same functions better. You can invest in them if you want, but you should take into account their low their damage or benefit ceiling is and cannot be surpassed.

Jahoda

4⭐️ Berry (Anemo, onion)
Role Sub-DD and support
Optimal constellation С6

The Curator of Secrets worker provides several pleasant bonuses to the team: periodic healing, damage from her pocket, and additional elemental mastery. Her ultimate damages nearby enemies, maintains or boosts the team's health. She can also carry useful equipment for the primary damage dealer.

Her advantages are offset by her reliance on other Nod-side characters. Some of her buffs only work during a full Lunar Omen, when she becomes less energy-intensive and gains the ability to attack from her pocket with not only her own element, but also Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo.

Wanderer (Scaramouche)

Former Harbinger of Fatui, Wanderer
5⭐️ Wanderer (Anemo, catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

The Wanderer has a unique hover mechanic that allows him to attack enemies from above and avoid most melee attacks. At the same time, his regular attacks have a large area of effect, which is good against groups of enemies. The companion is convenient because he can play well both in a classic damage build with an emphasis on his own damage, and in a driver build via Swirl, where he uses sub-DPS abilities from off-field.

However, to get good damage as a hyper-carry, you will have to invest in good weapons, artifacts and allies, and also Scaramouche has no team-supporting skills. He will cover the need for an Anemo damage dealer, but he cannot be called the best and most necessary option for the account.

Tartaglia

Eleventh Harbinger of Fatui, Tartaglia
5⭐️ Tartaglia (Hydro, onion)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С1

The Harbinger stand out by having a special stance, where he changes his weapon type to daggers. Despite the fact that he takes the position of the main DPS in the squad, he can be called a driver to some extent. The young man works exclusively with strong sub-DPS and plays quite poorly in hyper-carry groups. It is quite difficult to play him, especially on mobile devices and without C1, since this requires constant attention to timings so that his E-attack does not get a long cooldown.

At the same time, he is very friendly to players at any stage of the game, feels great with epic weapons and a mix of artifacts. Although he is actually tied to one team (Xiangling, Bennett, Anemo support), his group still perfectly clears all the content.

Ganyu

Half-adept-half-qilin, Ganyu
5⭐️ Ganyu (Cryo, bow)
Role Main-dd and sub-dd
Optimal constellation С1

As a pocket damage dealer, Secretary Qixing pairs best with a Cryo main damage dealer, as her ultimate buffs the Cryo damage of all heroes in her area of effect. While she was a very strong companion at release, she's fallen off the map. Allies in her best squads are often sought after by other teams, and many players note the slow gameplay, which quickly becomes boring during active play.

At the same time, she's still able to deal good damage and clear game activities with the right team setup, working great both via Frozen and Melt.

Beidou

Marine Captain, Beidou
4⭐️ Beidou (Electro, two-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С2

The heroine combines not only decent Electro damage off the field but also team protection through her damage absorption skill. The captain can be paired with virtually any character who needs a pocket-sized damage dealer for reactions, opening up a wide range of squad composition options.

Beidou's main potential is her ultimate, which is not very convenient to use, since you need to constantly wait for its cooldown and also get enough energy recharge, which is detrimental to overall damage. In addition, Elemental Burst only hits enemies with normal or charged attacks, which is not suitable for heroes with other types of damage, such as Raiden or Mizuki.

Sara

General of the Tenryo Commission, Sara
4⭐️ Sarah (Electro, bow)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

General Kujo provides powerful buffs to her squad and deals some damage herself when properly leveled. Her greatest benefit only becomes apparent at Constellation 6, and when building teams, she prioritizes Electro damage dealers, to whom she provides the most buffs. It's worth noting that these buffs last for a very short time, making her a perfect fit for teams with hyper-carries that utilize short stance or the snapshot mechanic.

As for other group options, there are plenty of more comfortable alternatives for them, for example, Bennett, whose buffs last much longer. If desired, she can be assembled both as a full-fledged support and as a damage dealer due to the high scales of the ultimate.

Diluc

The owner of the distillery, Diluc
5⭐️ Diluc (Pyro, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

A standard character, easily played through a combination of normal attacks, elemental skills, and ultimate activation. Despite a wealth of suitable gear, an easily obtainable signature set, and a simple build, he hasn't fully stood the test of time. With Xian Yun, he forms a powerful combo and becomes a very powerful Pyro damage dealer, but without her, his damage output is on par with core epic heroes like C2 Yanfei.

However, he has some development prospects and is fine to invest resources in, especially if there are no or very few damage dealers of this element on your account. The distillery owner has no restrictions for team setups, which allows him to play, albeit with varying efficiency, both via elemental reactions and in mono-Pyro squads, and among his allies there are many heroes of epic rarity.

Ayato

The head of the Kamisato clan, Ayato
5⭐️ Ayato (Hydro, one-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

The leader of the Kamisato clan deals damage with normal attacks and his ultimate only, the latter has a small built-in buff to basic attacks. Belonging to the Hydro element, although it is one of the strongest elements in the game at the moment, did not do Ayato any favor: he has many more profitable counterparts. As a main DPS, he has been surpassed by Nevillette and Mualani, and the Hydro status with the ultimate is not large enough for him to compete with Xingqiu or Yelan.

However, with decent investments, the man is still able to clear current content without any problems. He is extremely easy in gameplay and rotation, has a passive that makes it easier to gain energy for elemental burst, and is not picky about weapons and artifacts.

Tighnari

The famous botanist Sumeru, Tignari
5⭐️ Tignari (Dendro, bow)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С1

One of the best standard heroes. Although his shots are considered charged attacks, his cooldown-reducing abilities allow him to have very dynamic gameplay. He excels with Stimulate and Dendro-Electro Resonances with strong sub-DDs, while consumables improve his damage output and playability.

It is worth noting that due to the mechanics of charged shots, it is extremely inconvenient for him to play with the secondary damage dealers whose abilities depend on normal attacks of an active ally (Xingqiu, Yelan, etc.). This imposes certain restrictions on team setups.

Ifa

Veterinarian for zavrians, Ifa
4⭐️ Ifa (Anemo, catalyst)
Role Driver support
Optimal constellation С6

The Saurian vet is a complex combat unit that combines the abilities of a healer, buffer and driver: he restores the health of his allies, boosts them and actively fights on the battlefield. However, in reality, he has many playstyle limitations: the buff is provided to Hydro and Electro character only (Charged reaction), and some of his abilities prevent you from taking some strong companions to his team.

In a good setup, the Saurian vet will be able to show decent results, but he is not perfect or a must-have for an account. It makes sense to invest in him if you already have a good team for him and have long waited to try playing with an Anemo driver.

Yoimiya

Fireworks seller, Eimiya
5⭐️ Eimiya (Piro, bow)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

The heroine uses standard attacks while in a stance, which colors her shots with Pyro Infusion. She has simple gameplay, good damage against bosses, and pleasant synergy with all the best supports and sub-DDs in the game.

The key drawback is that her abilities are strictly solo target, which was not such a big problem earlier due to the smaller number of Pyro main DPS. In the past, she could be considered as a second Pyro damage dealer on the account specifically for some difficult bosses. Now there are other main DPS in the game who do the same job significantly better, and the heroine is pushed out of the high positions of the tier list by them.

Sigewinne

Melusine the Nurse, Sidgwin
5⭐️ Sijvin (Hydro, Onion)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

Sigewinne is a support character that heals the entire squad and provides buffs to inactive heroes who attack from the pocket. In addition to healing, the Melusine is able to independently enter the battlefield and deal some damage. Thanks to her first passive, Sigewinne simplifies the exploration of the underwater world of Fontaine, providing allies with periodic healing when their health is significantly reduced.

It is also worth noting that the Melusine is quite bad at applying Hydro status due to her skills being too slow or short-timed. For this reason, she will not be able to single-handedly take the place of a support in reaction squads, and you will have to add an extra companion for these tasks.

Mizuki

Clinical Psychologist Mizuki
5⭐️ Mizuki (Anemo, Catalyst)
Role Support driver
Optimal constellation С4

The Clinical Psychologist doubles as a healer and main damage dealer through Dispel. She spends most of her time on the field as an active hero, using the Elemental Stance. Her inability to use normal and charged attacks greatly limits her utility, as she can't play with most sub-damage dealers, and the allies she has available are more beneficial in other teams.

At C0, there may be healingtroubles, since her key constellation is the fourth one, it lets the character deal damage and heal simultaneously. All of this makes her not the most convenient driver, although choosing artifacts and weapons for her is quite a simple process.

Arataki Itto

The leader of the gang, Arataki Itto
5⭐️ Arataki Itto (Geo, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

The leader of the Inazuma gang plays off the elemental blast and delivers charged attacks while infused. This complicates his gameplay considerably, as without a well-timed ultimate, the hero becomes completely useless and his damage output drops significantly, forcing him to build a lot of energy regeneration or use a battery, in addition to useful stats.

Furthermore, he's tied to Geo teams and Goro, as there are no other defensive supports in the game. If all these conditions are met, the gang leader will be an excellent primary damage dealer, capable of covering all relevant content, but without them, he's significantly inferior to other hyper-carries.

Mika

Cartographer Ordo Favonius, Mika
4⭐️ Mika (Cryo, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

The Cartographer is currently the only buffer for physical teams. However, this type of damage is rarely used in the game and Mika's support is needed only by a limited number of characters, which is why the hero is not so popular. Nevertheless, he is able to provide good healing and bonus attack speed, which will be a nice boost for many companions. Mika's significant drawback is that without his consts, he is inferior to the majority of supports in terms of team benefits.

Gorou

General Watatsumi, Goro
4⭐️ Goro (Geo, bow)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

A specialized buffer for Geo characters. He significantly boosts his squads, becoming an indispensable ally for companions whose abilities are scaled by defenses that cannot be obtained from other sources. Besides the free Noelle and the expensive Shilonen, he is the only Geo healer, but this ability is only unlocked with C4, making him heavily constellation-dependent. Furthermore, he is strictly limited to Geo squads and is completely useless for other teams.

Cyno

Mahamatra General Saino
5⭐️ Saino (Electro, spear)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С2

A hero who spends most of the fight in an Elemental Burst stance. While he can cover relevant content at high investment, he has his own set of problems: low damage scales, the need for legendary gear and strong allies, a high cost for his ultimate, and an excessively long stance.

All this makes the Mahamatra General not the best candidate for an account that needs a strong damage dealer of this element. It is worth getiing him if you like him personally or if the account already has all the conditions for this companion.

Keqing

Jade Balance Keqing
5⭐️ Keqing (Electro, one-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С4

Despite being a standard character, the Jade Balance is quite playable in Dendro groups via Quicken or Hyperbloom due to her Electro Infusion attacks. While her gameplay is fairly simple, her dynamic nature takes some tome to get used to and can be challenging on a mobile device.

She can be played without consts, but she shines most at her C4. While she doesn't have a great performance due to her standard rarity, she's more than usable until other Electro main DPS comes out. Her build and team requirements are pretty basic, so when you get tired of playing her, the investment in her allies and weapons won't be wasted, they can be used for other heroes.

Sethos

Temple Heir, Sethos
4⭐️ Setos (Electro, bow)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С6

The Deserter plays around the charged shot mechanic, both in-game and in stance, thanks to his ultimate. He has a fairly simple build, as in most cases, he only requires Elemental Mastery and Critical Chance/Critical Damage, which determine his primary damage output. Due to the skill scaling of his MC, he greatly requires supports that buff this stat, such as Sucrose, Nahida, or Albedo.

However, the young man can get by without them if he has good artifacts. Despite being a damage dealer, he still has a 4⭐ rarity, so to fully realize his potential and play comfortably, he requires const.

Kirara

Courier "Company Express", Kirara
4⭐️ Kirara (Dendro, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

A shielder in the team's Dendro. While she also has offensive abilities, her damage output is quite inconsistent and requires taking enemy positioning into account (or being constantly present on the battlefield, which isn't always practical). Her key feature is the unique elemental skill mechanic, which allows for much faster and easier climbing.

In terms of applying elemental status, the Nekomata is not too strong, which is why another Dendro ally is almost always necessary. Despite certain shortcomings, she does her main job well, keeping the team alive without the need for additional protection or healing. The courier cat significantly improves her abilities at C6, and becomes a buffer.

Thoma

The landlord of the Kamisato house, Toma
4⭐️ Toma (Pyro, spear)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С1

An excellent shielder for teammates who rely on normal or charged attacks. To get a strong shield comparable to other heroes in a similar role, it needs to be upgraded and stacked; without it, the shield will be broken in a couple of hits. He shouldn't be expected to deal a lot of damage and is best used in a support build, but he can be a valuable asset to the team with C6, which turns him into a decent buffer.

It is worth highlighting small Pyro status applied with his shield. This is not enough for most reactions, but that is exactly why Thoma plays well in Burgeon teams, applying enough Pyro to explode blooms, while not disrupting Blooming at the same time. Therefore, despite his situational nature, Thoma can be played, and in his squads he is not bad at all.

Noelle

Knight Maid of the Ordo Favonius, Noelle
4⭐️ Noelle (Geo, two-handed sword)
Role Support and main DD
Optimal constellation С6

The Knight Maid is a strong standard character, capable of filling the shield slot with healing and dealing damage at early ranks. However, as the world level increases, she becomes less effective, even with good leveling, due to her shield's long cooldown and limited durability.

The girl is played in a new way at C6, which turns her into a strong main damage dealer. However, this allows her to clear high-end content only while having excellent supporters like Furina, Xilonen or Gorou, as well as good weapons, for example, Redhorn Stonethresher.

Lynette

The Illusionist's Assistant, Lynette
4⭐️ Linnet (Anemo, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С4

Free heroine, available to all players of adventure rankXNUMX and higher. Belongs to the Anemo element, thanks to which, is able to reduce enemy resistance when wearing the Viridescent Venerer set. Her E-attack gives her the ability to move faster around the world and heal herself. Also uses the Ousiaenergy, which will help exploring Fontaine's territories. However, other than a small attack buff and resistance reduction, she provides the squad with virtually nothing.

Traveler (Dendro)

Traveler Dendro of the Elements (girl and boy)
5⭐️ Dendro the Traveler (Dendro, one-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С6

The Traveler is a good addition as a pocket character to many teams of his element. It's worth noting that his ultimate changes its functionality depending on the elements of his teammates, so careful attention to elemental combinations is essential for maximum benefit. With all his cons, he makes an excellent support and buffer hero.

Sayu

The Ever-Sleepy Mizuina Ninja Sayu
4⭐️ Sayu (Anemo, two-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С1

A rather amusing character that allows you to speed up world travel. She acts as a healer. Like other Anemo buffers in the Viridescent Venerer set, she can effectively cut enemy resistances. The problem may lie in balancing her stats and generating sufficient energy regeneration, as she barely regenerates herself. Furthermore, C1 is highly recommended for a comfortable gameplay experience.

C-rank characters

These heroes will require maximum attention if you want to get excellent combat performance from them. It is better to limit their use until getting better supports and damage dealers and not waste resources on them if there are other options.

Dahlia

Dalia in the Church of Favonius
4⭐️ Dahlia (Hydro, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С6

Despite the fact that the Deacon is the first Hydro shielder in the game, his scope of use is extremely small. His skill set assumes playing off Frozen, which creates additional stacks for the shield, without that the defense is too easy to destroy. In fact, the young man is a special support for Skirk and plays poorly outside of her groups, since for buffer options he offers only attack speed increase.

There are other heroes in the game that would benefit from such a boost, but due to their elements, it is difficult for them to meet the condition to trigger Frozen regularly. It is recommended to level him only for Sinner's Pupil's teams if you do not have Escoffier, or if you have companions that deal most of damage with quick basic attacks. For other players, leveling the deacon will not bring any benefit to the account.

Kaeya

Kaeya Cavalry Captain
4⭐️ Kaeya (Cryo, one-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation C2

As a free-to-play character, the Cavalry Captain remains one of the few Cryo heroes capable of serving as a sub-DD without being tied to a specific location on the field, unlike Rosaria, Layla, and Ganyu. His Elemental Burst, in addition to the extra damage, provides a convenient Cryo stack for triggering reactions, but requires an energy regeneration kit to activate in a timely manner or at least C2, which is difficult to obtain. Furthermore, his short ultimate range forces him to get close to enemies, something archer players tend to avoid.

Barbara

The Idol and the Church Worker, Barbara
4⭐️ Barbara (Hydro, catalyst)
Role Support
Optimal constellation C0

One of the early characters able to take on the role of a Hydro healer until the later ranks, since her only counterparts are legendary Kokomi and Sigewinne. It is quite easy for her to get all the consts so that she gets the ability to resurrect, and her best equipment are the 4⭐ and even 3⭐ options.

Barbara has a key weakness that can affect clearing the Abyss: too many enemies have elemental attacks now, and her skill applies the Wet status to an active character. Because of this, her ally can appear vulnerable to Frozen or other reactions. In addition, she has an expensive ult and at the same time does not gain energy for it well on her own.

Candace

Heiress of King Deshret, Kandakia
4⭐️ Kandakia (Hydro, spear)
Role Buffer
Optimal constellation С2

A support that gives Hydro Infusion and increases damage of normal attacks. To fully support her group, she does not need talent upgrades, since those skill levels do not affect the buff, which reduces the amount of investment required. She is best played in teams that use normal elemental attacks, and can be useful even at low levels.

Without consts, she is inferior to most other buffers in the game: C2 is perfect for her, and the best const to reach her maximum potential is C6. With it, she applies more Hydro status with her ult hits, which allows her to synergize better with other characters.

Freminet

Diver from Fontaine, Freminay
4⭐️ Freminet (Cryo, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С6

The E-class Diver's attacks combine two types of damage—Cryo and physical—which is considered quite unique compared to other characters. His skills suggest gameplay through an unconventional combination of Cryo, Hydro, and Electro heroes, but this isn't necessary; you can focus on one reaction and play, for example, solely with Superconductor. He's not the best choice for clearing difficult content, but for veteran players or fans of physical damage dealers, he'll provide an interesting gaming experience.

Kachina

Championship participant Kachina and Mualani
4⭐️ Kachina (Geo, spear)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С0

The heroine can be considered a more budget-friendly version of Albedo or Tiori: she doesn't have as much damage as them and has fewer support skills. Her key advantage is the ability to wear a support set and further buff her allies.

It can also be noted that there is an ideal spear for her, which can be obtained through crafting - Rainbow trailThis makes the warrior very easy to assemble and doesn't require many resources, making it a worthwhile investment.

Yanfei

Lawyer from Li Yue, Yanfei
4⭐️ Yanfei (Pyro, Catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С2

Has a similar playstyle to Klee and similar problems with using charged attacks. She doesn't have so much Pyro status, but she does have a specific mechanic of Scarlet Seals. You need to know how to play the Liyue Harbor's famed legal adviser: if you move during the cast, no damage will be dealt, but you will consume stamina and Seals. In addition, the charged attack is also tied to the ground, not to enemies. That is, if the enemy is flying or just on a hill, it will not hit him.

Shikanoin Heizouu

Detective Shikanoin Heizou
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С6

The Detective is capable of delivering significant damage with his E-attack. Has an inexpensive but damaging ultimate, as well as good potential for Swirl due wielding a catalyst. Great for any squad with Cryo, Pyro, Electro and Hydro due to the Anemo element, but plays best as a driver in Vaporize/Charged teams.

Dori

Rare Goods Trader, Dori
4⭐️ Dori (Electro, two-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С4

The Merchant is one of the few heroes who restores energy while her ultimate is active. Being Electro, she will fit into squads with Dendro for Quicken reactions, as well as Superconduct and Charged teams. In addition, she has an extremely useful C4, which increases healing and energy restoration during the ultimate.

However, despite such a rare mechanic, which only Raiden has, in fact it is not so important in the realities of the game. To solve energy problems, a second partner of the same element is most often simply taken into the squad, and other healers are able to provide more benefit.

Dehya

Desert Mercenary, Dehya
5⭐️ Dehya (Pyro, two-handed sword)
Role Damager (Main or Sub)
Optimal constellation С6

The mercenary can thrive in two positions. As a main damage dealer, she requires cons, ideally all six, and decent investment, but as a sub damage dealer, she's not suitable for all squads due to her weak Pyro stack.

In addition, she does not work with Xingqiu or Yelan, which is already a problem for playing her as the main damage dealer via Vaporize. There are few heroes in the game who can inflict Hydro status without using normal attacks - in fact, only Furina is able to do this. This explains Dehya's low tier position: to be a main DPS, she requires a lot of resources and does not deliver, and as a sub-DPS, she fits only in a limited number of teams.

Chongyun

Exorcist of the Li Yue Clan, Chong Yun
4⭐️ Chun Yun (Cryo, two-handed sword)
Role Damager (Main or Sub)
Optimal constellation С1

The Exorcist's key feature is the ability to create a field where allies gain Cryo Infusion. This can be used by both the Exorcist and his companions, but there's little need for it. As a primary damage dealer, he's very weak and only really shines in the National, and even then, at the expense of his teammates. As a sub-DPS, although his Constellation can slightly reduce Cryo resistance and deal heavy damage with his Ultimate, he's not particularly useful due to his inability to boost allies' energy.

Lisa

Library worker, Lisa
4⭐️ Lisa (Electro, catalyst)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С2

A decent elemental applicator, she can act as a driver or even a main damage dealer at early ranks, but gradually loses her relevance as her account progresses. The Librarian's greatest benefit comes from her Elemental Burst, which erodes enemy defenses and makes her a valuable asset, especially in squads with Electro Reactions.

For greater convenience, requires C4 and a careful balance of artifacts due to the need for energy recharge and good stats, which can be obtained, for example, with legendary catalysts.

Traveler (Electro)

Electro Traveler's Elemental Skill
5⭐️ Traveler (Electro, one-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С6

Good option for the main character, fits into any team playing off the Electro reactions, but will not bring anything significant to them. He can be built as a battery with an E-attack or forced to attack with Electro from the pocket, although his own damage is not very high.

The hero can be an alternative option to Lisa, but in most cases, by the time Inazuma is reached, any account already has a large variability in team setups and also Fischl, Kuki or Dory. They bring more benefit to the squad than the main character. If the account does not have any of the listed heroes, then the Traveler is a great replacement.

Qiqi

Zombie Girl Qiqi
5⭐️ Qiqi (Cryo, one-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С0

The Zombie girl is a strong healer, capable of keeping the entire party at a high level of health in almost any situation, as well as resurrecting allies at her C6. Despite the possible potential as a Cryo applicator with her elemental skill, the girl copes too poorly with this, as the status triggers not too often.

Other than healing and a small amount of Cryo, she doesn't contribute anything to the team. This can be fixed with a buffer weapon like Freedom-Sworn and the Ocean-Hued Clam set, which will convert some of the excess healing into damage, but it's too expensive and wastes a lot of time that could be spent levelling other companions.

Ningguang

"Heaven's Will" by Ningguang
4⭐️ Ningguang (Geo, catalyst)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С6

Her E-attack, Jade Screen, creates a powerful screen that buffs Geo damage for everyone who passes through it. This ability can be used both for the heroine herself and for her allies. During the battle, she accumulates Star Jade charges that can be launched at the enemy with an elemental burst, and constantly hits enemies with basic attacks.

Such a low tier position is based on her not-so-simple gameplay and problematic levelling. To get beautiful damage amounts, you will have to spend a lot of time and resources. As for Geo damage dealers, there are many other options that will show results many times better, in addition, she has quite weak synergy with most heroes.

Kaveh

Architect from Sumeru, Kaveh
4⭐️ Kaveh (Dendro, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С4

The Architect's mechanics are geared toward Budding play, but he can be used in other squads, even if he doesn't perform as well. He's quite easy to build, as he only requires Elemental Mastery.

He synergizes best with Nylu, which is too expensive for an epic companion. However, if he doesn't have Nylu, he can be paired with any other Hydro or Dendro allies that can provide stable status. He also requires at least C4. All these factors combined make the Sumeru Architect an overly expensive hero, generally only worth developing for Dancer mains.

Eula

Captain of Intelligence Eola
5⭐️ Eola (Cryo, two-handed sword)
Role Main DPS
Optimal constellation С0

In the current gameplay environment, physical damage is the weakest of all, significantly inferior to almost all other combinations and styles, making the Noble a less sought-after character. Her significantly boosted ultimate helps her stay within the average range, allowing her to deal 300k+ damage at C0, although that damage isn't exactly considered exceptional at the moment.

Her disadvantages are: high ult cost, urgent need for battery and good amount of energy recovery, strict rotation. In addition, the ult is reset with one big blow, which forces you to carefully time elemental burst resets according to enemy timings. For this reason, it is extremely inconvenient to play the Reconnaissance Captain against multiple waves of enemies.

D-rank characters

Heroes that are only good for their mains. All of them have alternative options that are much better and stronger in mechanics and damage. If you don't have genuine love for any of them, don't waste your time on any serious leveling.

Xinyan

Rock musician Xinyan with guitar
4⭐️Xinyan (Pyro, two-handed sword)
Role Support
Optimal constellation С4

She can generate a shield, but its durability is inferior to that of other, more powerful shielders. She's quite difficult to use as a Pyro Reactor, as the skill only attacks from the pocket when three or more enemies are hit, making her completely unsuitable for boss battles. Furthermore, although she buffs physical damage, she's a poor fit in such squads due to her Pyro element, as she doesn't contribute to Superconductor and sometimes interferes with it.

Amber

Security Patrol Member, Amber
4⭐️Amber (Pyro, Onion)
Role Damager (Main or Sub)
Optimal constellation С0

Depending on the player's open cons and objective, she can be a primary or secondary damage dealer, but she doesn't perform impressively in either position. The only popular option is her Hu Tao-based support build, where she wears a support set. Instructor support set and the Elegy for the EndShe's quite good for this team, even though the squad has poor survivability, but outside of this team, an archer is of no use to almost any hero.

Traveler (Geo)

Geo Traveler and the Golden Butterflies
5⭐️Traveler (Geo, one-handed sword)
Role Secondary damage dealer
Optimal constellation С6

Besides Noelle, Traveler is the only Geo character at early ranks, which makes them useful both in combat for breaking some shields and for exploring the open world. Doesn't do much damage, but even at later ranks can be a teammate for heroes who need Geo constructs, such as Chiori. Otherwise, it is a filler character, recommended to be switched to other elements as soon as possible.

Traveler (Anemo)

Anemo Traveler (boy and girl)
5⭐️Traveler (Anemo, one-handed sword)
Role Damager (Main or Sub)
Optimal constellation С6

The protagonist's Air form is available to players at the start of the game and can be useful both in clearing the world and in various content, such as the Abyss, where he can group enemies together for more effective attacks. He's most comfortable playing with characters using Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro, but becomes completely useless once he obtains Sucrose or the similarly free Lynette.

Traveler (Hydro)

Hydro Traveler in Fontaine
5⭐️Traveler (Hydro, One-Handed Sword)
Role Damager (Main or Sub)
Optimal constellation С6

A version of the Traveler that becomes available after resonating with the Hydro Archon statue in Fontaine. All of this hero's consumables can be obtained as you complete the water region's content. He is the main damage dealer and has gameplay somewhat similar to Nevilleth's abilities, but his abilities last much shorter and deal very little damage. In rare cases, he can be used as a water elemental reactor, for example, under the Dendro status.

Aloy

Traveler from another world, Aloy
5⭐️Eloy (Cryo, bow)
Role Damager (Main or Sub)
Optimal constellation C0 (Absent)

Because Aloy was a "gift" character, she has extremely low damage scales and a complete lack of buffering abilities. Compared to all Cryo heroes, whether she's a secondary damage dealer or a main damage dealer with infusion, the huntress currently looks quite weak and can't compete with other companions. The lack of consumables further adds to her weakness, as they usually provide significant buffs.

Tier list system

Our tier list is based on the latest game activities and mechanics. We update it and change it with every new character release, combat challenge update or combat system change.

Character Evaluation Standards

When evaluating the characters' positions, we take into account their abilities, variability of possible teams, presence of competitors and other features.

Versatile / Situational

The game's combat system offers a huge variety of combinations, and enemies often require squads to be adjusted to fight them.

  • Heroes that can play in different teams are given the highest priority, as this makes them relevant for almost every account. Often these are supports and sub-DPS, such as Xingqiu, Kazuha or Bennett.
  • At the same time, no less powerful, but more niche hero may be located in the rank below. Such characters play well within their role, but are useless for most players. As a rule, these are buffers of a certain element, for example, Sara or Faruzan.

Competitive Gains

Often characters lose their relevance not because of changes in the combat system, but after an alternative hero with the same element and/or position in the squad appears. Our tier list displays not only the character's overall position, but also the position within their role.

Any given unit may perform good compared to other companions overall, but may not be the best choice in their category.

That's what happened to Yoimiya with the release of Arlecchino and Mavuika. Earlier the girl was one of the best Pyro main DPS, but when the Harbinger and Pyro Archon appeared in-game, she was unable to hold her position and now is not a priority Pyro character.

Skill relevance

As the game develops and regions change, developers adjust various mechanics and add new ones through the characters themselves. This can either make things worse for some heroes or, on the contrary, improve them.

For example, Chevreuse and Ororon significally boosted Overloaded and Charged reactions, while Freeze groups got weaker after almost all the enemies of the Abyss were marked as bosses.

Investment requirements

Many heroes have problems with some aspect of their development: equipment selection, balance of stats in artifacts, need for certain allies or dependency on consts. Some of them are capable of dealing S+ rank damage, but for such a result to be achieved they need too much investment, and an average player cannot provide it, so they are placed at a lower rank.

Quite an example is Xiao, which clears content if there are artifacts with excellent stats, legendary weapons and partners like Xianyun, Faruzan C6 and Bennett / Zhongli / Jean C4 for him. However, if all these conditions are not met, it is too hard to clear combat activities with him.

Relevance for the Abyss

Sometimes this in-game activity includes enemies that require a certain combination of elements and weapons, making it difficult to complete the challenges without the right heroes. In such cases, some characters may temporarily go up the list, and go back to their previous tier after the Abyss phase changes.

Changes in ranking

Various combat units may go up or down with the addition of new companions, as well as changes in opponent setups for different battle modes.

В the 6.6 update Three characters were added to the game, which influenced the change in the positions of some companions:

  • Nicole placed S+ due to her support skills, Prune placed A as a support, and Loen placed S as a damage dealer.
  • Varesa has been downgraded to S due to not having the best synergy with Witch.
  • Shilonen's buffs are losing their relevance, so she's moved up to S rank. A similar situation happened with Xian Yun, Zhongli, and Bai Zhu—they've all been reduced to A rank.
  • Raiden, Cookie, and Nilu were also downgraded to A due to the reduced relevance of the Vegetation and Budding reactions.
  • Varka, thanks to Nicole and Prune's support, rose to S+ rank.

These versions included Columbine, as an activator of Lunar reactions, new Geo satellites Zi Bai and Linnea, which open access to three new reactions - the Lunar Crystal, and Anemo main-dd Varka.

В 6.2 version Several heroes changed their positions:

  • Durin was added to the S+ tier as a strong sub-DD, and Yagoda was placed in the B-position due to its limited use.
  • Due to improved Witchcraft skills, Mona and Albedo rose to S, Fischl and Sucrose to S+, and Klee, Venti, and Razor to A.
  • Nevillette and Arlecchino dropped to S due to the decreased relevance of pure Hydro damage and greater competition among fire heroes.
  • Xiangling, Xingqiu, and Kazuha have been changed to S from S+ since they all have more powerful alternatives.
  • Kirill and Nefer have been upgraded to S+ due to their relevance during the lunar patches and the corresponding reactions.
  • Chevreuse and Varesa became S+ due to the addition of Durin and the increased relevance of Overload.

В 6.1 version Nefer was added to the S-rank because she launched strong but didn't live up to pre-release expectations. Several other heroes were re-ranked: Clorinda, Raiden, Nahida, and Al-Haytham were downgraded due to the introduction of alternatives, Ineffa was promoted to S+, and several 4⭐️ heroes were re-categorized.

В the 6.0 update Kirill and Lauma entered S+ rank, and Aino entered A.

В 5.8 version added robot maid Ineffa, which took the S-position.

В patch 5.7 The following characters have been added:

  • Skirk when using Escoffier it took S+ rank, and without it - S;
  • Dahlia went to C-position.

The following changes have also occurred to old heroes:

  • Ayaka was upgraded to S thanks to the introduction of the Chef into the game;
  • Pyro Traveler because of the new regime Stygian Onslaught became more relevant and moved to A.
  • Raiden downgraded to S.
  • Eula moved up to B-rank.

This ranking is constantly expanded as new characters are released. Stay tuned for updated builds on our website, so your characters are always at the top of their game.

Previously, Shilonen was ranked S+ in the buffer column.
After being demoted to S rank, she is now in the support (healer/shielder) column.
Please clarify the table. In my opinion, she's more of a buffer in her role within the squad.

Why is Chicha in the S-tier? I think with Sandrone's release she could be very useful and could be thrown into the V-tier. But that's a matter of taste.

Why does Varesa say it's in the S+ tier, but it's in the S tier? And Varka has the same problem: it says it should be in the S tier, but it's in the S+ tier.
