Where to find all the chests in Rotting Oak Dreams in HSR
The abandoned complex features numerous dilapidated corridors and areas riddled with red scourge. Exploring them, you'll not only find precious chests but also encounter unique puzzles and challenges:
- mosaic of dreams, which requires assembling a picture from disparate fragments;
- Dreamworld clock, awaiting fine-tuning.
In total, there are 2 royal tanks and 15 treasure chests in the location: 12 regular ones and 3 valuable ones with riddles.
Chest 1 (regular)
Descend the stairs from the "Past Dreams" teleporter. The first reward awaits on the square platform in the southwest corner.
Chest 2 (regular)
Head south and climb one of the two staircases to a platform with a tall Erudroid sculpture. The chest is located between the sofa and the table.
Chest 3 (regular)
Run north to the next large platform. The treasure is located on a protruding balcony.
Chest 4 (regular)
Use the lift platform to the east or fast travel to reach the "Road Not Taken" Exploration Anchor. The reward is hidden in a crate next to the teleporter.
Chest 5 (valuable)
A little further north is the broken Dreamworld Clock. Repair the Bandit Clock to claim your prize.
How to assemble gear 1
Move the mirror screen all the way to the right, then double-click the orange shape next to the clock. Lastly, move the yellow T-shaped object after the mirror so it lines up with the orange one.
How to assemble gear 2
Return the mirror to its original position and move the yellow piece on the right one space to the left. Rotate the orange "L" once and move the central "T" one space to the left so they touch.
How to assemble gear 3
Rotate the orange "G" on the left once and move the right yellow shape close to it.
Chest 6 (regular)
From the "Path Not Taken" teleporter, run south and use Eye of Dreams between two statues.
Follow the opened path to the Dream Module. Use the device to rotate the platform to move toward the black cubes.
Exit control mode and run under the blocks. Your character won't be visible behind them, so blindly find the interaction point and close the Eye of Dreams.
Once you reach the freestanding platform, go forward and collect the treasures to the left of the table.
There's a letter from the Dream Lord on the desk. Take it to earn the "My Sin Always Before Me" achievement.
Chest 7 (regular)
Use the Eye to return to the Dream Module control platform. Turn the platform to the right and follow it.
After closing the device, run up the stairs. At the top, you'll find the treasure chest.
If this route differs from the one chosen in the story, you'll receive the achievement after closing the Eye of Dreams. Otherwise, the achievement will be awarded later.
Chest 8 (regular)
Enter the Oak Mansion through the purple door. If you've been here before, you can use the dimensional anchor of the same name. Loot the valuables from the chest by the fireplace in the northern room of the mansion.
Chest 9 (valuable)
In the hall with the Oak Mansion teleporter, go to the Clock figurine and fix the Clock in the cubes.
How to assemble gear 1
Double-click the orange shape next to the Clock so that its corner touches the yellow line. Move the line one cell to the right and move the T-shaped objects all the way to the left.
How to assemble gear 2
Place all the vertical blue blocks horizontally—they should form a right angle. Move the mirrored screen to the far left, and move the yellow line three spaces to the right.
How to assemble gear 3
Place the top yellow "T" in the space in front of the gear. Move the mirror to the far right.
How to assemble gear 4
Move the right yellow figure toward the Clock, then click on the horizontal blue line adjacent to the mirror. It will stand upright, opening the path to the finish line.
Chest 10 (regular)
Look into the room to the south of the hall - you will find another chest.
Chest 11 (regular)
Proceed to the octagonal hall in the east of the mansion. Your reward awaits by the northern wall.
Royal tank 1
Climb to the elevated platform above the entrance and speak with the royal tank. To avoid a fight, choose the following options:
- "It's not that high up here."
- “Submit all the tanks.”
Reward:
- star jade x20;
- hour credits ×120.
At the trash can's location, you can press the "Observe" interaction button. After a short text scene, you'll earn the "Conversation About Eternal Sleep" achievement.
Chest 12 (regular)
Return to the southern room of the estate and proceed through the Dream World card. It will lead you to the eastern entrance of the Oak Mansion. Go down the stairs and collect your reward from the chest.
Chest 13 (regular)
Return to the estate and use the door in the western part of the hall or travel directly to the "Corroded Tangled Roots" dimensional anchor. Walk a little east and look behind the root sticking out of the ground.
Chest 14 (regular)
Climb the stairs to the platform in the northeast of the island. The chest is hidden behind a bush, not far from the Dream World clock.
Chest 15 (valuable)
Approach the puzzle and interact with it to repair the Future Clock.
How to assemble a gear 1
Place the yellow line of cubes so that it forms a transition from Chasik Island to the adjacent one. Rotate the orange corner 90 degrees so that it is reflected in the mirror screen. Position the mirror so that the reflection of the orange cubes is complete.
How to assemble gear 2
First, drag the yellow line from the mirror to the island with the gear. Click the orange shape once—it will move to a new position, connecting the yellow cubes with its reflection. Adjust the mirror's position until the entire route is reflected, allowing the Clockwork to reach the finish line.
Solving all puzzles of this type in the location will unlock the "Watchtower Vision" achievement.
Royal tank 2
Approach the trash can located near the flowerbed in the north of the same island. To avoid combat, choose the following options when speaking with him:
- "Do you think I care?"
- "Watch more cartoons."
