Hoho's biography in Honkai: Star Rail
Hoho of Hongkai: Star Rail is a representative of the fox people and a trainee at the Ten Lords Commission of Luofu Xianzhou. By nature, she is very timid, afraid of ghosts and everything connected with the supernatural. However, she has to constantly deal with evil spirits and even drive them out. It all started when one of the judges sealed the heliobi inside her, which is why she is now called "cursed."
As a child, Hoho encountered a spirit, which she took pity on and put on her tail. The demon almost devoured his “savior”, so Judge Hanya had to seal him in the tail - the girl was too small to carry out the banishment ritual. The commission undertook to protect her so that the “tail” would not do any harm, while Hoho was trying to master her new responsibilities as a guide of souls and overcome fear.
At first, the spirit differed little from other heliobi and did not give up trying to take over the girl’s personality. However, over time, he discovered that he liked to watch her get upset because of her failures and make cruel jokes: “I will always have time to devour her. She’s not going anywhere from me.” Despite this, he never refuses Hoho if he sees that she needs help, although he would never admit that he is her friend.

Hoho Basic Skills
Hoho's skills are aimed at providing the team with stable treatment. At the same time, despite adherence to the Path of Abundance, it can impose various buffs, namely, to restore energy and increase the attack power of all allies.
Next, we’ll look in detail at how Hoho’s abilities work and in what order they are best upgraded. We will also consider all its traces and eidolons, separately highlighting the most recommended fragments for obtaining.
Active skills
- Technique "Demon: Evil Unmasked" | Weakening
Scares off enemy targets in the open world, applying the Soul status to your heels. An enemy with this status jumps away from Hoho for 10 seconds. Once combat begins, there is a 100% base chance that this enemy's attack power will be reduced by 25% for 2 turns.
- Basic Attack "Flag: Call of the Storm" | Single attack
Energy recovery: 20 units.
Deals wind damage equal to 25-65% of its maximum HP to the selected target.
- Emboldening Salvo "Talisman: Protection" | Recovery
Energy recovery: 30 units.
Removes 1 Debuff from a targeted ally and immediately restores their HP equal to 14-24,5% of their Max. Hoho's HP and an additional 140-718 units, and also restores the health of nearby targets equal to 11,2-19,6% of max. HP Hoho and 112-574 units.
- Superpower "Tail: Spiritual Domination" | Support
Energy costs: 140 units.
Energy recovery: 5 units.
Restores all allies except yourself 15-22,5% of their maximum energy, and also increases their attack power by 24-48% for 2 turns.
Passive skills
- Talent "Obsession: The Metaphysical Connection" | Gain
After using the skill, receives the status Sacrificial Offering of life for 2 turns. While this status is in effect, squad members are healed by 3-5,25% + 30-154 units. from max. Hoho's HP at the start of their turn, when using a super ability, and also if their HP drops to 50% or below. Activation Sacrificial Offerings of life also removes weakening from one ally, but no more than 6 times. Together with the skill – 7 times. Repeated use of the skill resets the number of times the effect is triggered.
The order of leveling abilities
Emboldening Salvo, superpower и талант are equally important and are pumped in parallel, as they affect the effectiveness of the healing and enhancements that Hoho provides for the team. Basic Attack Used exclusively to restore skill points and regenerate energy. For this reason, the level of this skill can not be increased or stopped at lvl 6.
Tracks

Fear to act: At the beginning of the battle, receives the Sacrificial Offering of Life status for 1 turn. | Status Resistance +4% (A2) | HP +4% (A3) | Speed +2 units. (A3) |
Damned: Chance to avoid crowd control is increased by 35%. | HP +6% (A4) | Status Resistance +6% (A2) | HP +6% (A5) |
Stress response to fear: When the talent is activated to heal allies, Hoho regains 1 point of his energy. | Speed +3 units. (A6) | Status Resistance +8% (Lvl 75) | |
HP +8% (lvl 80) |
Overall stat gain:
HP | 28% |
Status Resistance | 18% |

Eidolons [constellations]
All Hoho eidolons:
number | Name | Materials |
1 | Heliobi Possession, Home of Evil | The duration of the Life Sacrificial Offering status gained by the talent increases by 1 turn. While the status is active, the speed of all allies is increased by 12%. |
2 | In the tail is a spirit sealed by the judges | If the Sacrificial Offering of Life status is active, when receiving a finishing blow, an ally does not die, but restores 50% of their max HP. health. This reduces the duration of the status by 1 turn. The effect only works 2 times per battle. |
3 | Cursed by fate, like a flame to moths | Superpower level +2. Talent level +2. The maximum level is 15. |
4 | Eternal conflict, intertwined life | When healing with a skill or talent effect, the outgoing healing increases in proportion to how low the target's current HP is, up to a max. 80%. |
5 | Deliverance from evil, by decree of ten lords | Skill level +2. The maximum level is 15. The level of basic attack +1. The maximum level is 10. |
6 | Common goal, common destiny | When an ally is healed, their damage dealt is increased by 50% for 2 turns. |
The best constellations of Hoho – E1, E2 и E6:
- First eidolon increases the duration of the effect of the talent, therefore, allies will be able to passively heal for 1 turn longer. At the same time, the arsenal of buffs is expanding - Hoho now also increases speed, in addition to restoring energy and attack power.
- Second eidolon allows you to resurrect fallen squad members and restore their health up to half 2 times per battle. However, in return, each resurrection reduces the duration of the talent's effect.
- Sixth Eidolon continues to make Hoho a buffer, giving her the ability to increase all damage dealt by an ally by 50% for 2 turns. Moreover, the bonus is given for any treatment received, including from weapons and other teammates.
Advantages and disadvantages of Hoho
What are Hoho's strengths, and what are her weaknesses? Let's take a closer look at all the advantages and disadvantages of the character.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
An excellent healer with many ways to regenerate HP. Heals with skill and talent when an ally walks, ults, or drops their health to half. | To heal allies, you need consume skill points. While Hoho can heal off-turn with a talent, it is similarly activated by a skill. |
Healer and buffer in one person. In addition to healing skills, it has enhancements: it restores energy and increases attack power with superpowers. | There is no instant healing for the entire team. Heals only one ally and those closest to him with a skill or an active squad member with a talent. |
Easy to assemble. All skills are scaled by HP, so it is enough to invest in upgrading this characteristic so that Hoho copes well with her task. | "Dear" superpower – 140 units. energy. Despite the fact that the ultimate is not used for healing, buffs are no less in demand. This is partly solved by following “Stress response to fear”. |
Removes weakening from squad members almost permanently due to the Sacrificial Offering of Life status received by the talent. | The energy restoration that Hoho provides for the team with her superpower does not extend to herself. |
Suitable for F2P-players. Hoho does not need a signa or eidolons to benefit the team. In addition, the most useful eidolons E1 and E2 are at the beginning. |

Best Builds for Hoho in Honkai: Star Rail
Hoho occupies the position of support (support character) in the squad. In this regard, she needs only those bonuses and characteristics that affect the effectiveness of treatment and the ability to consistently apply buffs. When assembling Hoho, priority is given to the following stats:
- HP is a key parameter on which the quality of healing depends on skill and talent.
- Energy recovery – affects the frequency of using a superpower that provides buffs to allies.
- Speed – will allow you to walk more often in order to timely use a skill to heal or a basic attack to generate energy.
In the following sections of the guide we will look in detail at how to collect Hoho in Honkai: Star Rail.
Recommended characteristic values
The main stats that are recommended to look for in relics:
Relic | Main characteristic |
Head | HP (permanent) |
Arms | Attack Power (Permanent) |
Body | Healing Bonus (priority) or HP (situational) |
Legs | Speed (priority) or HP (situational) |
planar sphere | HP |
Connecting rope | Energy recovery (priority) or HP (situational) |
In the lower characteristics, priority should be given to:
- HP;
- speed;
- resistance to effects and protection.
The optimal final values of stats that it is desirable to have on a character:
- Speed: 121-134 units.
- Energy recovery: from 119,4%.
- HP: from 6 units (with body at “healing bonus”).
- DEF: from 900 units.
The speed should be neither too much nor too little. If it is in excess, it becomes more difficult to maintain healing from the talent, since it is burned by Hoho's moves. If it’s not enough, you may not be able to heal your ally in time, and your energy gains will be slower. It is optimal to achieve an average score, for example, 1-2 units less than the rest of your teammates (or the same).
Ultimate Light Cone [Weapon]
Hoho weapons must belong to Paths of Abundance, so that you can take advantage of its passive effect. Preferred stats and bonuses for the cone in question: HP, healing bonus, speed and energy recovery.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
Night of fear ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 53-1164 ATK 21-476 DEF 24-529 | Energy recovery rate increases by 12-20%. When one of the squad members uses a superpower, it is restored 10-14% HP of the ally with the lowest HP percentage. When the wearer heals any ally, their attack power increases by 2,4-4%. The effect can stack up to 5 times and lasts 2 turns. | Fright Night is a signature of Hoho. Increases energy recovery, which is important for the stable use of superpowers, and also provides the squad with attack power and additional. treatment. For example, if one of the allies has low HP, the ult of another can save him from defeat. |
Time waits for no one ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 57-1270 ATK 21-476 DEF 21-463 | Max. Owner's HP increases by 18-30%, and his outgoing healing is at 12-20%. When the owner heals an ally, the amount of that healing is recorded. When an ally uses an attack, one random enemy hit takes additional damage of the owner's attack type equal to 36-60% from the recorded healing value. This additional damage is not affected by other buffs and only counts once per turn. | The weapon is almost on the same level as the signal. However, the focus shifts from strengthening the team to improving the quality of Hoho's healing. This is achieved through a high increase in HP and outgoing healing. If you don’t have enough health, it is better to give preference to “Time waits for no one.” If there is no rope on the VE and HP is over 6, “Night of Fright” takes priority. |
Interview after surgery ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 19-423 DEF 15-330 | The owner's energy recovery rate increases by 8-16%. Using the owner's superpower increases their outgoing healing by 12-24%. | Although energy regeneration is an extremely useful stat, the second part of the passive effect does not combine with the character's mechanics. Hoho is healed by a skill, not an ultimate, which means increasing outgoing healing will not be beneficial. However, due to the VE, the cone shows itself very well. |
General Feelings ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 19-423 DEF 18-396 | Owner's outgoing healing is increased by 10-20%. Using the owner's skill restores all allies 2-4 units energy. | The weapon is useful not only by increasing outgoing healing, but also by restoring energy to the entire team (including Hoho) after she uses her skill. Considering that this will happen quite often, especially in a difficult battle, it will result in passive energy generation. |
Hey I'm here ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 19-423 DEF 18-396 | Max. Owner's HP increases by 8-12%. When the wielder uses a skill, their outgoing healing is increased by 16-28% for 2 moves. | Likewise, Time Waits for No Man increases HP and outgoing healing, but does not deal damage. To receive an additional bonus to healing in this case, you will need to use the skill every 2 turns (but not necessarily on an ongoing basis). This requirement is conveniently combined with the Hoho talent due to the fact that its healing also lasts 2 turns. |
Perfect timing ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 19-423 DEF 18-396 | Owner's resistance to effects increases by 16-32%. Owner's outgoing healing is increased by 33-45% from resistance to wearer's effects to max. 15-27%. | Effect Resistance can make the heroine more resistant to various negative effects, including control. At the same time, Hoho herself increases her SE by up to 18% thanks to pumping up her tracks. Combined with the weapon bonus, she can get an extremely high increase in outgoing healing. |
Cold nights are shorter when you're around ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 16-370 DEF 18-396 | Max. Owner's HP increases by 16-32%. Using a basic attack or skill restores all allies' health equal to 2-4% from their max. HP. | Light cone obtained for the paid version of Honor of the Nameless (HN). Significantly increases health (especially at R5), which will have a positive effect on the quality of treatment received by the team. At the same time, using a basic attack or Hoho skill will allow you to restore some more health. |
Equivalent exchange ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 19-423 DEF 18-396 | At the start of his turn, the owner recovers 8-16 units energy to a random ally, except the owner, whose current energy is lower 50%. | Free weapons that can be easily maxed out. It does not provide any bonuses for Hoho herself, but it helps restore energy to other allies if their gauge is less than half full. Can be used up to the production of the cones discussed above. |
Cornucopia ⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 12-264 DEF 12-264 | When the owner uses a skill or superpower, their outgoing healing is increased by 12-24%. | A good 3-star cone of light that increases outgoing healing by up to 24%. One of the requirements to receive this buff is to use a skill, which is the main skill that restores the health of allies. |
Reproduction ⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 14-317 DEF 9-198 | After using a basic attack, the next action moves forward by 12-20%. | If you have just started playing and there are absolutely no alternatives, Reproduction is a completely acceptable option. Promoting the action after using a basic attack does not directly affect the quality of treatment or enhancements, but makes it possible to walk more often, therefore, activate the skill in a timely manner. |
Best Relics [artifacts]
Like weapons, Hoho relics should provide an increase in health, healing bonus, speeds и energy recovery. The tables below present and break down all the suitable kits that can be installed on a character.
Cave Relics [Main Artifacts]
Name | Effects | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
Passerby of Wandering Cloud Herald wandering in hacker space | 2 parts: Increases outgoing healing by 10%. 2 parts: Increases speed by 6%. | The best combination that increases the effectiveness of the healer and benefits the team. "Wanderer" provides a bonus to healing, and "Herald" provides a bonus to speed, which allows HoHo to provide additional buffs through the use of her super and consistently restore the HP of allies. |
long-lived student Passerby of Wandering Cloud | 2 parts: Increases max. HP by 12%. 2 parts: Increases outgoing healing by 10%. | This combination of relics allows you to restore more health when activating a skill or talent, but does not have a speed bonus. This may not have the best effect on the HoHo rotation if the optimal speed value is not achieved. |
Passerby of Wandering Cloud ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases outgoing healing by 10%. 4 parts: At the beginning of the battle, instantly restores 1 skill point to all members of the squad. | A universal set suitable for any healer. In addition to increasing outgoing healing, the passive effect of 4 parts of the set at the beginning of the battle gives an additional skill point, which is definitely useful and will allow the heroine to use her skill with less losses. |
long-lived student Herald wandering in hacker space | 2 parts: Increases max. HP by 12%. 2 parts: Increases speed by 6%. | Another 2+2 option with increased HP and speed. Since health, one way or another, affects the effectiveness of treatment, you can use “Long-living Apprentice” instead of “Wandering Cloud Wanderer”. However, this combination provides less effective treatment than the previous ones. |
Herald wandering in hacker space ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases speed by 6%. 4 parts: Increases the speed of all allies by 12% when the owner uses a super ability on an ally, for 1 turn. The effect does not stack. | A viable support set that allows Hoho to temporarily boost her party's speed after activating her super for 1 turn. Using this set may reduce the effectiveness of the healing, but it is worth it if you are interested in buffs. |
Watchmaker of sleepy shenanigans ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases penetration effect by 16%. 4 parts: Using the owner's superpower increases the penetration effect of all allies by 30% for 2 turns. This effect cannot stack. | The kit works in a similar way to the previous one, but is aimed at increasing a less universal characteristic. Can be used in teams where the penetration effect is important or where a second buffer set is already used, but there is a desire to get additional boosts. |
Planar Ornaments [Additional Artifacts]
Name | Effects | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
Fleet of the Ageless ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases HP by 12%. If the owner's speed is at least 120, the attack power of all allies is increased by 8%. | An excellent planar decoration with useful buffs for both HoHo and the team. In addition to the fact that it increases the heroine’s health, it provides attack power to allies if Hoho’s speed is not lower than 120 units. Since boots are most often placed on speed, the requirement can be easily met. |
broken keel
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases status resistance by 10%. If the wearer's status resistance is greater than or equal to 30%, the crit. All allies' damage is increased by 10%. | Another good set that increases resistance to wearer effects and critical damage of allies. To fulfill the last condition, the SE must be at least 30%. Hoho gets 18% from footprints and 10% from decoration. That is, it is enough to gain another 2% in sub-stats (or equip the “Perfect Time” cone). If the choice is between “Keel” and “Fleet”, give preference to the set with better characteristics, and pay attention to whether the conditions of the second part of the passive effect are met. |
Dreamland Penaconia ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases energy recovery rate by 5%. Increases damage dealt by allies of the same type as the owner by 10%. | In the absence of previous sets, a set for restoring energy is suitable. Another nice bonus of this planar is that it increases the damage of an ally who has the same element as Hoho, that is, wind. The condition is specific, but it boosts the main damage dealer quite well if met. |
Sprightly Vonwacq ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases energy recovery rate by 5%. If the owner's speed is at least 120 units, at the beginning of the battle the action immediately advances by 40%. | An alternative planar decoration for restoring energy. Although the passive condition is more universal, since it is enough to gain 120 units. speed, it is generally less effective (provided that the effect of the previous set is in effect). |
Squads for Hoho
Hoho in HSR is a representative of the Path of Abundance, who takes the position support. She fits into absolutely any squad where a healer is needed. In addition, the girl from the fox people is able to partially fulfill the role of a buffer due to the mechanics of her superpower.
Best characters
The following characters can join a team with Hoho:
Character | Path | Damage type | Features |
---|---|---|---|
jingliu | Destruction | Ice | A strong DPS character who relies on the special state of Spectral Transmigration. While in this state, she deals increased damage and consumes the HP of allies, which is why the squad especially needs support from the Path of Abundance. In addition, she will benefit from buffs to attack power and energy recovery. |
Blade | Destruction | Wind | The character's gameplay is tied to taking damage and spending health, so he needs a healer who can protect him from receiving a fatal blow. Despite the fact that the bulk of his damage comes from HP, the bonus to attack power from Hoho's superpower will not be superfluous. |
Moon Eater | Destruction | Imaginary | One of the strongest representatives of the Path of Destruction. Deals high damage both to one target and to a group of enemies. However, it consumes quite a lot of skill points. It is necessary to distribute skill points between him, Hoho and other heroes depending on the situation on the battlefield. For example, if the enemy plans to attack the Devourer, save 1 point for healing. |
Xueyi | Destruction | Quantum | It can act as both a main and a secondary damage dealer, supporting with his own DPS a more powerful representative of the damage-dealing Path. The main characteristic of the girl is the penetration effect, therefore, it is extremely easy to assemble. |
Clara | Destruction | Physical | The tramp girl is an excellent tank and secondary damage dealer. Distracts opponents, taking most of the damage, and uses a bonus attack. Although the damage she takes is reduced by her talent and superpower, she cannot heal on her own, meaning a healer is still needed for additional protection. |
Arlan | Destruction | Электрический | Like Blade, he loses health when using a skill and needs treatment. At the same time, his damage depends more on the attack power, which makes the Hoho strengthening more in demand. Increasing energy recovery, in turn, will allow you to activate your superpower almost on cooldown. |
Hook | Destruction | Fiery | A budget damage dealer who can serve as both a main DD and a sub-DD. It relies on applying the Burning status, dealing periodic fire damage to one enemy (or E4 to several). She will benefit from not only buffs, but also stable healing. |
Phys. hero | Destruction | Physical | A free character with damage to solo targets and groups of enemies. Its damage itself isn't that great, but it's still a pretty useful damage dealer early in the game. In combination with buffs applied by the fox girl and stable healing, she will be able to cover any content for a long time. |
Misha | Destruction | Ice | A universal damage dealer, capable of taking the position of the main damage dealer or helping in a squad with other main damage dealers. The key skill, a superpower, deals high damage to one enemy or group of monsters, is inexpensive in terms of energy requirements and can freeze. |
Seele | Hunting | Quantum | A powerful representative of the Path of the Hunt with high damage to one enemy. She is vulnerable to receiving finishing damage, so the issue of having a healer in the squad is especially acute. Since her damage depends on attack power, and her super is important in the rotation, Hoho's buffs will bring a lot of benefits. |
Doctor Ratio | Hunting | Imaginary | Ratio, as a representative of the Path of the Hunt, is in dire need of outside support (be it shields, healing, or damage absorption). Hoho, in turn, will not only restore health, but also “fill in” energy, and also increase attack power. |
Yanqing | Hunting | Ice | For the work of talent “Empathic connection” is undesirable for the character to receive damage. For this reason, a Path of Conservation support is usually placed next to him. However, a healer is still necessary so that the rest of the ally and Yanqing himself can, if necessary, restore their HP. |
Topaz and the Accountant | Hunting | Fiery | A damage dealer who plays through a bonus attack. In addition to dealing damage, she also buffs other heroes who use bonus hits. For this reason, they gain a huge advantage when combined with it. Hoho will not only help with treatment, but also with enhancements. |
Dan Heng | Hunting | Wind | Free main DD received during the prologue. Despite its availability, it has fairly high damage and is easy to use. However, like most fighters of the Path of the Hunt, he has a low base health and defense. |
Sushan | Hunting | Physical | Effectively penetrates physical vulnerability and specializes in dealing damage to one enemy using a skill and superpower. For a comfortable game, she requires not only buffers, but also healers. Moreover, Hoho covers both needs at once, providing everything necessary. |
Jing Yuan | Erudition | Электрический | An excellent character of the Path of Erudition, who relies on massive damage in battle. Its main feature is the summoning of the Lightning Lord, who acts on a par with other members and units and deals damage with a bonus attack. It is important for Jing Yuan not to be controlled, which is decided by the talent and skills of the trainee judge. |
Argenti | Erudition | Physical | One of the best characters against large groups of opponents. Strikes all enemies on the field with a skill and ultimate, restoring energy for each enemy who received damage. In a team with Hoho, she will be the main damage dealer, whom the girl will help with buffs and energy boost. |
Himeko | Erudition | Fiery | Fire damage dealer with area damage. All her basic stats are average, as for a legendary character, so assistance in the form of constant healing, increased attack power and energy restoration will have a positive effect on her effectiveness during battle. |
Hertha | Erudition | Ice | A useful free character who performs well at the beginning of the game. Capable of attacking enemies with all active abilities, as well as a bonus attack that triggers when enemies reach half health or below. |
Serval | Erudition | Электрический | Budget replacement for Jing Yuan. Serval also masters the electric element and belongs to the Path of Erudition. However, her overall DPS is slightly lower and she does not rely on bonus attacks, but on dealing damage over time by applying the Shock debuff. |
qingque | Erudition | Quantum | Another free hero. Capable of significantly increasing its damage thanks to the mechanics of tossing jade bones. In battle, it deals damage to both one target and several enemies. Although mass DPS is less consistent due to greater reliance on dice rolls. |
Armor | Harmony | Wind | An excellent buffer obtained from a standard banner. With a superpower, it increases critical damage, and with a skill, it increases attack power. Can advance the action of one of the allies forward by 100%. In combination with Hoho, it greatly boosts the main damage dealer. |
ruan mei | Harmony | Ice | A support that increases damage dealt, speed, penetration efficiency and resistance penetration of all types of elements. Can delay the action, prolong the break state and passively deal damage. Shows excellent performance in builds with two damage dealers. |
Sparkle | Harmony | Quantum | The main advantage of Sparkle is not only the increase in crit. damage, as well as total outgoing damage. The “klutz” in the mask directly affects the increase in the number of skill points used during battle, and also contributes to their accelerated recovery. |
Asta | Harmony | Fiery | A free support character that provides the squad with speed and attack power. At the same time, she can independently inflict good damage with the help of her skill, breaking through the fiery vulnerability of opponents. Pairs well with heroes of its element. |
tingyun | Harmony | Электрический | One of the best epic heroes of the Path of Harmony. Increases damage, attack power and restores energy. Her buffs are almost identical to those offered by Hoho, so their union will increase the existing buffs several times. This combination is especially relevant if you have expensive superpowers. |
Hanja | Harmony | Physical | The skill marks the enemy with the Nosha status, which increases the damage done by allies and restores action points for every 2 hits on the status. The superpower “Following the Decrees of the Ten Lords” increases the attack power and speed of one squad member. |
Yukong | Harmony | Imaginary | Among buffers, it has the largest number of enhancements: increases attack power, crit. damage, crit. chance and imaginary damage due to the trail. The only difficulty when playing as Yukun is that the bonuses depend on the Roaring Bowstring status, which must be constantly updated (it costs a lot of skills). |
Welt | Nihility | Imaginary | Debuffer from a standard banner. Acts as a secondary damage dealer that weakens enemies. Reduces the speed of opponents and imposes the Imprisonment status on them, which further delays actions. At the same time, it deals good area damage with its superpower. |
Kafka | Nihility | Электрический | Deals a lot of damage using damage over time. The peculiarity of Kafka is that it instantly activates all DOT statuses on enemy targets. This allows you to easily destroy even the largest monsters. The attack power and energy recovery from Hoho will further enhance it. |
Black Swan | Nihility | Wind | Debuffer with lane wind damage from the Arcana status, which, after using the Black Swan superpower, becomes all DOT effects. In addition, it lowers defense and increases damage received by opponents. Also needs attack power and energy. |
Silver Wolf | Nihility | Quantum | The strongest debuffer due to various weakening (reduced attack power, speed and defense) and the ability to create a weakness to the elements of one of the allies. In addition to imposing negative effects, it can independently inflict damage with skills and superpowers. |
Acheron | Nihility | Электрический | A powerful attacking character of the Path of Nothingness. Acheron has a unique superpower that does not require energy recovery. Instead, it is necessary to apply negative effects and thereby gain points of Shattered Dream to activate the ult. Despite the fact that Hoho weakens only with her technique at the beginning of the battle, she does an excellent job of supporting the team: healing and buffing. |
Luke | Nihility | Physical | The combat mechanics of the Underdark champion involve imposing the Bleeding status on one target. Enemies under this status will receive damage over time. Another bonus is the increase in damage they receive after using Luca's ult. |
Guinaifen | Nihility | Fiery | Just like the Bow, it increases the damage received by enemies using the Fiery Kiss status and additionally against burning enemies from the third trace. When dealing damage, it relies on periodic damage from Burning, which spreads to several targets at once. |
sang | Nihility | Ice | Lowers the defense of all enemies with a superpower, while dealing ice damage. Can remove a skill boost from one enemy. When she is on the battlefield, the hit chance of all allies' effects and the damage dealt to enemies with debuffs (first and second trace) increases. |
Sampo | Nihility | Wind | A Path of Nothingness character who uses the DOT status to destroy enemies. In this case, the Weathering effect is applied. With a base chance of 100%, increases the periodic damage received by enemies after activating a superpower. |
Top Teams
Based on the characters discussed, you can create the following units with Hoho:
Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
jingliu | tingyunArmor | sangMisha | Hoho | A team aimed at maximizing Jingliu's strength. She receives a high increase in attack power, energy recovery and deals increased damage due to debuffs. At the same time, Hoho plays the role of a healer who completely protects allies with constant healing from skill and talent. |
Blade | Armor | sangjingliu | Hoho | A team with Blade in the main-dd position. Armor propels his action forward and increases critical damage. Pela lowers enemy defense, and Hoho heals and helps restore energy. If necessary, Pela can be replaced, for example, by Jingliu. The former sword master will inflict additional damage. damage and will help Blade activate the talent. |
Moon Eater | Yukong | AstaHanja | Hoho | A strong unit with a Moon Eater that receives a large number of buffs. Since he spends a lot of skill points, use his skill first, then buffs and only heal when necessary. At the same time, in a particularly difficult battle, it is always advisable to leave an “extra” skill point for emergency healing. |
Seele | ArmorHanja | Silver Wolf | Hoho | A squad with Zele, where the Silver Wolf creates a weakness in enemies to the quantum or wind elements. All support characters are useful for Zele because they give her the necessary boosts (action promotion, attack power, energy recovery, critical damage). Although Armor and Hoho do not deal damage, they can use a basic attack to generate skill points and simultaneously break the enemy's shield. |
Kafka | Black SwanSampoLuke | GuinaifenAsta | Hoho | Team with Kafka from periodic damage. Black Swan, Sampo, Luka or Guinaifen impose DOT statuses on opponents, which the Stellaron Hunter subsequently “explodes” with a skill or superpower, causing colossal damage. Hoho in this case acts as a healer and buffer. Guinaifen can be replaced with Asta, who will provide additional buffs and inflict Burn with a basic attack with an 80% chance. |
Jing Yuan | ruan meitingyun | TopazAsta | Hoho | A team targeting Jing Yuan's buff. Ruan Mei increases all damage dealt, speed and penetration efficiency / Tingyun increases attack power, energy recovery, helps to deal additional damage. Electrical damage. Topaz increases the damage from the bonus attack and attacks enemies herself/Asta increases speed. Hoho takes care of healing and provides even more buffs. |
Himeko | Clara | HerthaTopaz | Hoho | A team playing through bonus attacks. Himeko, Clara, and Gerta/Topaz are damage dealers who destroy opponents with active abilities and out-of-turn follow-up attacks. If Topaz is present, it will additionally boost the DPS of Himeko, Clara or Gerta. Hoho doesn't use bonus hits, but does a great job as a healer. |
Yanqing | Welt | CheetahFire. hero | Hoho | Team with Yanqin as a main DD who attacks one enemy target. Velt inflicts imaginary damage and weakens enemies by applying debuffs to them (reduced speed, slowed down). Since it is undesirable for Yanqing not to receive damage for the talent to work, it is recommended to additionally install a Conservation Path character (Cheetah, Fire Pathfinder). |
Argenti | HanjaSushan | tingyun | Hoho | Group with physical AoE from Argenti. The knight deals area damage under the attack and speed boosts of two supports. Hoho heals the team and removes weaknesses. If there is a lack of damage on one target, you can enlist the support of Sushana or Luka. |
Acheron | Silver Wolf sang | Welt Guinaifen | Hoho | A squad with Acheron serving as the main DD. Path of Nothingness characters provide max. bonus from the “Abyss” trail and apply debuffs, helping to accumulate points of Shattered Dream and stacks of Crimson Knot. Hoho heals with a skill and passively at the beginning of an ally's turn, after using an ult or when HP drops to half. Activating a talent also removes a weakening from a team member. |
Budget Hoho squads with free and 4-star characters:
Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
---|---|---|---|---|
SushanDan Heng | Asta | Yukong | Hoho | Team up against bosses and elite monsters. Sushan/Dan Heng are the main damage dealers that deal high damage to one target. Asta and Yukun are buffers that apply buffs to allies. Hoho is a healer who also provides additional attack and energy recovery boosts. |
Servalqingque | Hertha | tingyun | Hoho | A team for farming and destroying a group of enemies. Serval/Qingque are the main damage dealers who use their abilities to deal area damage. Hertha is a secondary damage dealer via bonus attack. Tingyun is a buffer that increases attack power and restores energy (can be replaced with Asta/Yukun). Hoho is a healer. |
Hook | sangLuke | Guinaifen | Hoho | Squad via Burn/damage over time. Hook and Guinaifen set enemies on fire, taking damage over several turns. Pela lowers defense, removes a buff from one enemy, or Luka applies Bleeding, increases the damage received by the selected enemy with the help of an ult. Hoho is doing treatment. |
Phys. heroArlan | Asta | Sampo | Hoho | A squad with a free/epic Path of Destruction character. This build is effective against both single targets and groups of enemies. Asta provides all team members with buffs (can be replaced with another Harmony support). Sampo deals additional damage through Weathering. Hoho restores HP of allies. |
How to play as Hoho
Hoho's gameplay is based on using a skill to healing allies. At the same time, the skill activates a talent that allows you to additionally heal squad members under certain conditions: at the beginning of the turn, after using an ult, or when HP drops to 50% or below.
The ultimate goal is not only to regenerate health, but also applying buffs, increasing attack power and restoring energy. However, for this, Hoho herself will need to gain energy in a timely manner in order to provide enhancements as often as possible.
Don’t forget about the skill points that the fox girl spends to activate treatment. First of all, try to give skill points to damage dealers and supports of the Path of Harmony, and only then to Hoho, when circumstances require it. It is recommended to keep 1-2 points in reserve if there is a battle with a strong enemy.
Rotation
The Hoho rotation is as follows:
- Before the fight, use the techniques of other characters, as well as the Hoho technique if necessary "Demon: Evil Unmasked", to have a 100% base chance of reducing the attack power of one enemy at the beginning of the battle for 2 turns.
- When it's the Trainee Judge's turn, use either a basic attack to gain some energy and regain points, or a skill "Talisman: Protection", if the allies' HP sank. In addition, the skill can be used in advance if a powerful enemy attack is expected before the next turn.
- The skill also activates the talent "Obsession: The Metaphysical Connection", which lasts 2 turns and passively heals one of the allies. While this effect is active, use a basic attack as Hoho unless there is an immediate need for healing.
- As soon as enough energy accumulates, immediately activate your superpower "Tail: Spiritual Domination"to increase the attack power of all allies for 2 turns and restore some energy to them.
To quickly recharge the ultimate, you will need to alternate skill and basic attack. This is a good combination, but you will have to sacrifice skill points, which in certain situations will negatively affect the rest of the team.
Alternative, more optimal option: 1 skill + 2 basic attacks. Fewer points are spent here, but it becomes a little more difficult to restore energy, so an additional source of regeneration (cone, relics, etc.) can come in handy.
Conclusion on the character
Hoho in HSR is a Path of Abundance character that combines the functionality of the Path of Harmony. It effectively heals, removes weaknesses and applies buffs: it increases attack power and restores energy to all allies. This combination allows you to play 2 roles at once or act as a secondary source of buffs.
At the same time, the trainee judge is quite easy to assemble and F2P friendly. Her treatment depends on HP, which means you can focus only on this stat in order to effectively cope with your task as a healer. However, she doesn’t really need eidolons or a signature light cone to realize her potential and benefit the team.
If you compare it with Lochey, another event healer, she is not superior to him, but not inferior either. They are both great representatives of Abundance with slightly different goals beyond the main one. If Hoho is useful for additional enhancements in the form of increasing attack and restoring energy, then Locha will show itself better in weakening enemies, saving skill points, and so on. The choice depends on the characters you already have, unit builds, and the need for specific mechanics.
We hope we helped you put together the best Hoho build in HSR. IN comments ask any questions about the character so that the author or other players can help. Follow useful articles on the game in the relevant sections of our website: passing, guides, builds.
Achievements with Hoho
There is one achievement associated with the young judge that cannot be completed in the test race.
- Packed up and ran away! - Use the Hoho Demon: Unveiling Evil technique to put 6 targets to flight at once. Reward: star jade ×5. Find at least 6 enemies and lure them towards you so that they are connected by a golden thread, then use the Hoho technique.

when is redan xoxo possible
2.3 - 2.4
Natasha’s cone should be rated immediately after the signal and not through a bunch of others. Even with the recovery rope, she doesn’t have enough energy regen to activate the buff once every 2 turns, the recovery cone makes the situation easier, the sign bonuses of bailu (and other 4) are not so important.
For those who don’t know whether to play Hoho or wait for Locha, I advise you to test them as support in your squads. This will be the simplest and most optimal answer.
So is the problem that you can’t test a character in your squad until you knock him out, or are there some shamanic methods?
You can add someone else’s character to your squad, for example, when you go to the boss. There is a “support” button and there you can already select a character
man you..
(never used support?)
Oh, well, yes, I was stupid here.) It’s just that I really never used it when necessary. (Only to close the daily logs)
Well, now you know that you can test a character in your team this way. Not a mirror, of course, but on bosses it seems like it’s also okay to look at whether the character is comfortable for you or not :)
It's time to rewrite the article, Hoho came out and turned out to be completely different from what it is here: they nerfed the talent very harshly, reducing the character's usefulness as a healer by about half. In this form, there can be no talk of any S-rank; this is a maximum of B-rank.
I don’t understand why there is so much hate? Even with this “nerf” (which, perhaps, will make the game even a little more convenient, due to more frequent healing of Persians who need it), she will still be the top 2 healer after Lochi, plus a buffer. Here she still needs to be nerfed and nerfed up to B rank.
I take my words back: the first test was obviously buggy, because the talent almost didn’t work. Now, after the patch, the talent has started to work at least close to how it was intended. But again, not as it is said in the description of the talent itself, I would not be surprised if they continue to rule him. What I saw now is that healing from a talent works in the following cases:
During earlier tests, the talent was treated strictly by Hoho herself and no one else. That’s why I thought there was very little healing in this form.
There is no character. all tests were performed at the test site provided in the game
You should at least understand how the character works, rather than write some nonsense based on “observations,” or ask if you don’t understand. “When Hoho ults, he heals everyone,” “when an ally ults, heals everyone except Hoho.”, and then there is no healing at 50%. This is all the worst nonsense. Just read how the character works, in this case the Russian translation reflects the essence (unlike Hania). If it is not clear, then ask again. Why create confusion and confusion and confuse others? Then we get a situation where the strongest characters are called weak and no one wants to play them, and then reruns are postponed to them.
Hoho in terms of healing and sustain is literally the top, on par with Locha, they are approximately the same, each has its own advantages. In terms of sustain, only Fu Xuan is higher than these two. Calling literally one of the most powerful characters in the game weak and trash is kind of surreal.
I waited until the last twist and ended up cheating~
And I wanted her so much for Jingliu t.t.
Well, the patch just came out, you can still knock out XoXo
will the squad be good?
jingliu, armor, tingyun and xoho
If you knock out, what is better to aim at: E1 or signal?
Can you explain whether it’s worth knocking it out or just waiting for the lock? everyone says she's shit, but you have her in S+ rank
will she be better than bailu and lochi or not???
How can they answer this question if the Persian hasn’t even come out yet and no one has tested it?
She is, in any case, different from Bailu and Lochi.
It has its own game mechanics.
If your team is critically short of ods, then it is better to wait for Locha, who heals without spending.
If you have enough odes and can easily maintain her skill, then you will need to watch the video with the analysis when it comes out.
I understand that compiling a shooting range is the personal desire and preference of the compiler of the shooting range, based on nothing.
But why add a character that has not yet been fully released to any list at all.
What if the character is nerfed or strengthened, and what if she has “her own” relics, and what if the relics themselves work differently for her?
And if she is even transferred like Yaoyao in Genshin in her time?
After the release of a patch, we always update the information, which is why the word “preliminary” is written. The tier list is based on the performance of the characters in the Halls of Oblivion.
Which was also tested by hand-assed people with the PTA. It’s better to put a dash in the line and not add it to the general pool.
I’ll write further about myself: I was looking for an interesting assembly; came to complain about S+'s bias; Got a bunch of spoilers...
It's better not to include such characters in the general pool.
We created an inside article - good. I’ll see it in the sentences on the right and I’ll skip it for myself; than I’ll see her right away in S+, and deny myself the role of Zele or Topaz, in the hope of the next best banner.
A casual player will see the recording in passing without going into details.
and what does Hoho (the Abundance character) have to do with Zela or Topaz (The Hunt)?
If the squad needs a heal, then you need to knock out Hoho, if you need DD, then Zele, and if you need a boost bonus to attacks, then Topaz. In the tier list, each character is rated in its own niche; they are not comparable because they perform different roles in battle.
How did this misunderstanding get into S+ rank?
you would also write that bailu is better in order to get the maximum bang
