At the official broadcast of the award ceremony The Game Award 2023 announced the winner in the category "Best Mobile Game". This year it became Honkai: StarRail, one of the HoYoverse projects launched at the end of April.
The competitors in the category were: another major project from Square Enix (which, by the way, had already won a couple of awards) represented by Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, indie strategy Terra Nil, as well as Monster Hunter Now and Hello Kitty Island Adventrue. Despite serious competition, HSR still managed to take the award, repeating the success of another brainchild of HoYoverse - Genshin Impact, who won the prize in the same category in 2021.
The developers have not yet shared their success on official channels, but, according to the already established tradition of celebrating victory with fans, you can expect that players will receive letters with gifts in the form of star jade.
