An interactive map of documents, postcards, and playing cards in 007 First Light
The tool's interface includes several tabs with detailed location plans, which contain icons of points of interest.
The first thing you'll need to do when interacting with the service is navigate. Navigation is standard: hold down the left mouse button and drag the map to move the map around. To zoom in and out, use the wheel. On touchscreens, navigation is simple: tap and drag.
By default, the tool displays Iceland, but clicking the "Malta" button will display a map of the first major location. To change the region, click its name at the top of the left-hand slide-out panel.
Available locations:
- Iceland (Iceland).
- Malta (Malta).
- London Nightclub.
Below are the "Show All" and "Hide All" buttons—these allow you to enable or disable the display of icons on the map. By default, all markers are shown.
The search bar is useful if you want to find the location of a specific item and know its English name. For example, type "Postcard" and press Enter or the magnifying glass icon to display postcards.
Below the text line is a list of all points of interest, which can be toggled on and off by clicking on them. For convenience, they are divided into categories, and the exact number of objects of that type is shown to the right of the name.
- Legacy Item (Archive item).
- Memento (memorable thing).
- Playing Card (Playing card).
- Postcard.
- Intel (Data).
By selecting any object and clicking on it, you can view a brief description and a screenshot from the game, making it even easier to navigate. In the pop-up window below the description, you can check the "Found" box to mark the object as found. This feature is only available after registering with the service.
The tool is still under development, so it doesn't display all areas and items. The developers are constantly updating the tool and, thanks to the support of the gaming community, will soon add the remaining locations and points of interest.
