In HSR, Yanqing is one of the best swordsmen of the Luofu Xianzhou ship, concentrating in battle on delivering crushing blows to single targets. In teams, he occupies the position of main DPS and requires careful play through the talent effect, due to which the character is extremely disadvantageous to receive damage. Due to these features, the young disciple of the general requires certain allies: defense heroes capable of blocking any blows, or units with a high Taunt value, distracting the attention of opponents to themselves.
The young man is a bright representative of the classic DPS character, capable of effectively destroying single targets with his skills. Activating the skill puts the swordsman into a unique state, which multiplies his combat characteristics many times, but is reset when receiving any damage from enemies. While this status is active, all combat abilities inflict increased damage, including the ultimate.

Hero's story
Yanqing is a young but extremely gifted boy who proves himself to be the best swordsman in Luofu Xianzhou. As a student of General Jing Yuan, does not stop in constant training: honing personal skills is one of his main goals. The art of swordsmanship won the boy's heart in childhood, and since then only smoldered inside, igniting a passion for battles and endless lessons under the patronage of a dear mentor.
He may seem incredibly energetic - however, in the case of this young man, "the first impression is not deceiving": even a general is not always able to keep up with the ardent actions of his assistant. However, one cannot consider boundless activity a "minus" of character: the swordsman is always driven by a specific goal, and he is ready to bring the task to mind, despite any difficulties that stand in his way. Trust and responsibility are not empty words for the young heart.
The development of the hero's storyline can be found in his companion mission Frosty Blade's Trial.
How to Get the Character
The main way to get Yanqing is through the permanent Stellar Warp banner. In addition, the unit can be obtained from the Event Warp: Character by losing 50/50.
After performing 300 pulls in the Stellar Warp banner, the player is given the opportunity to pick up one 5⭐ character for free. You can learn more about this game mechanics in a separate guide, which also shows the banner schedule in Honkai: Star Rail for next patches.

How Yanqing's skills work
Yanqing is a representative of the Path of the Hunt. His main skills are aimed at quickly destroying single targets. In addition, with his skills, he is able to increase personal characteristics, be it critical damage or critical hit chance, which makes his build quite easy compared to other heroes of a similar focus.
Active skills
Technique "The One True Sword» || Enhance
Using a technique increases Yanqing's damage in the next battle, inflicted on targets whose HP is higher than or equal to 50%.by 30%. on 2 turns.
Basic AttackFrost Thorn» || Single attack
Deals ice damage to the selected target equal to 50-130% of Yanqing's ATK.
Skill "Darting Ironthorn» || Single attack
Deals ice damage to the selected target equal to 110-275% of Yanqing's attack power, and activates Soulsteel Sync for 1 turn.
When the hero loses HP due to an enemy attack, the effect of Soulsteel Sync fades.
Superpower"Amidst the Raining Bliss» || Single attack
Increases Yanqing's crit rate by 60%.. When Soulsteel Sync is active, crit dmg is increased by an additional 30-60%. These buffs last for 1 turn, after which the hero deals ice damage equal to 210-420% of his attack power.
Passive Skills
Talent "One With the Sword»
When Soulsteel Sync is active, Yanqing is less likely to be attacked by the enemy. His crit rate increases by 15%., and crit dmg by 15-22,5%. After the unit attacks an enemy, he has a fixed chance of 50-65% to perform a bonus strike that deals ice damage to the target equal to 25-62,5% of ATK, and has a base chance of 65%. to inflict the Frozen status on the target for 1 turn.
An enemy creature with the Frozen status cannot perform actions and will take additional Ice damage equal to 25-62,5% of attack power, at the beginning of each turn.
Leveling Order
Talent = Ultimate = Skill > Basic attack.
The One With the Sword Talent and Amidst the Raining Bliss ult are Yanqing's core abilities that need to be progressively improved up to the maximum level. The Darting Ironthorn Skill, in turn, is necessary to activate "Soulsteel Sync" and, of course, to deal huge damage to a single target. It is recommended to improve it along with the previously discussed abilities.
Basic attack is not a priority. The support heroes in the team are primarily responsible for restoring action points, thus allowing the main DPS heroes to deal devastating blows with the skill, and Darting Ironthorn is the main advantage that should be used every cycle to activate the basic positive bonuses to crit dmg and crit rate.

The best eidolons of Yanqing are E2, E4 and E6.
- The second eidolon: Energy regeneration is an important stat, like crit dmg, crit rate and ATK, since his super ability gives a high increase to the most important DPS characteristics. Having "Supine Serenade" will give the opportunity to activate the ult more often.
- The fourth eidolon: a good buff that will be active on a permanent basis if there is a healer in the team that can instantly increase health to the required%, or a hero of the Path of Preservation with shields that block most of the incoming damage.
- The sixth eidolon: superpower gives a boost to crit rate and in case of active "Soulsteel Sync" increases crit dmg for 1 turn. "Swift Swoop" will increase the duration of these buffs to 2 turns.
How to Play Yanqing in HSR
Yanqing is a Path of the Hunt character whose main goal is to deal powerful blows to single targets and effectively deal with bosses or elite creatures. Playing the great swordsman can be difficult due to the Soulsteel Sync effect, as the main talent of the warrior from Luofu Xianzhou is tied to this status.
The recommendations below may slightly simplify the understanding of the mechanics, which is especially important in turn-based battles, where every action can decide the outcome of the battle. Yanqing's rotation in a suitable team should be as follows:
- Before the battle starts, use the technique to increase the swordsman's damage for the next 2 turns. In addition, it is recommended to use the basic techniques of other units if they also impose certain positive effects.
- Once it's the boy's turn, activate the skill to use "Soulsteel Sync". If possible, try to maintain the status by prioritizing Darting Ironthorn every turn.
- Apply the Path of Harmony representatives' buffs in time, as well as shields with the Path of Preservation heroes. Try to keep track of the duration of the buffs to properly distribute skill points.
- Use the ultimate only when Soulsteel Sync is active to increase critical mass.
- Consider the passives of the equipped Light Cone. For example, finish off monsters with the weapon "Cruising in the Stellar Sea" or attack mainly one enemy with "Swordplay".

Strengths and Weaknesses
We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the main "cons" and "pluses" of the character.
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| High damage to single targets gives an advantage in battles against bosses and larger elite creatures. He is considered one of the most useful heroes for clearing Forgotten Hall и simulated universe. | The buffs gained from Soulsteel Sync are lost if the hero loses HP as a result of an enemy attack. Therefore, he needs supports, which are capable of “fixing” the attention of enemies or applying a shield. |
| Easy to build in main DPS and balance the characteristics. The main skills increase critical characteristics, also in the traces there is a bonus of ice damage and ATK. | Has low base defense values, which makes the hero vulnerable to receiving fatal blows. Ongoing support required from the heroes of the Path of Abundance or the Path of Preservation in more difficult parts of the content. |
| Effectively freezes opponents without the need to gain EHR. High break of single target's vulnerability allows you to destroy ice shields and freeze enemies. The bonus attack also has a chance to inflict Freeze. | Costly in terms of action points. In order to maintain the talent's effect stably, each turn uses the skill in rotation. Considering the need of the representatives of the Path of the Hunt for high speed and frequent turns, the resource may be in great deficit. |
| Inexpensive build: even when equipped with an epic light cone and purple relics, is capable of inflicting staggering amounts of damage. |
Best Yanqing Builds in Honkai: Star Rail
The main feature of the hero is Soulsteel Sync, which has a number of advantages, lasts only one turn and disappears upon receiving damage. The status not only allows you to make bonus attacks, but also gives an increase to the most important main DPS characteristics of critical mass. The superpower, in turn, increases the chance of a critical hit by 60%, and with an active Soulsteel Sync it also increases crit dmg. Thus, the character's build is created in accordance with the enhancements that he receives directly during the battle.
For artifacts and weapons, priority characteristics are crit dmg, ATK, ice bonus damage and speed. Parameters affect all damage dealt and are gained first. Particular attention is paid to crit dmg, which is used to the maximum with all personal hero enhancements. For situational stats, we can highlight break effect - considering that the hero perfectly breaks vulnerability with his ultimate, the parameter can increase damage in rotation. Next, we will consider in detail the best build for Yanqing in HSR.
Recommended Stats
Characteristics to look for in artifacts:
| Relic | Main characteristic |
| Head | HP (permanent) |
| Hands | Attack Power (constant) |
| Body | priority - crit. damage |
| Boots | priority — attack power / speed |
| Planar Sphere | priority - ice bonus damage; optional - Attack Power |
| Link Rope | priority - Attack Power; optional - energy recovery |
If we talk about additional characteristics, then priority should be given to:
- Crit. damage;
- speed;
- attack power;
- break effect.
Final values of characteristics for a comfortable game:
- ATK: not less than 2;
- speed: 120-134;
- KS: no more than 20%;
- KU: 170%+;
- VE: 120%.
Light Cone Rating
When choosing a weapon, first of all, you need to remember that it must belong to the Path of the Hunt. Otherwise, the passive skill of the light cone will not work, and the character will receive an increase only to his main stats - health, attack power and defense.
Among the light cones, the "cards" that can give the hero a critical chance while the ultimate buff is inactive are especially valuable. The table, which follows the order "from the most effective to the least effective", presents the weapons that can be equipped on the unit in question.
| Name | Description | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 26-582 DEF 21-463 | Increases owner's crit rate by 18-30%. If the speed during battle is higher than 100, for every additional 10 points increases the damage of the basic attack and skill by 6-10%, as well as crit dmg of the ult by 12-20%. This effect can stack up to 6 times. | Signature light cone of Seele. Aimed at developing such a characteristic as crit rate, but works with speed. Also gives an increase to the overall power from the main skills. For the full implementation of the weapon, it is important that the team contains units capable of increasing the speed indicator (for example, Bronya or Asta). |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 26-582 DEF 24-529 | Crit dmg increases by 20-32%. For each existing debuff on an enemy target, increases the damage dealt by an additional . 8-12%. This effect can stack up to 3 times. Using the ultimate to hit a target will inflict the "Disputation" status on the hero, which boosts damage dealt by 36-60% and allows the bonus action to ignore 24-40% of enemy defense. This effect lasts for 2 turns. | A light cone that provides a guaranteed increase to crit dmg, and also increases the damage of any skills, including the bonus hit by ignoring defense in %, after using the ultimate. To fully implement the bonus, which offers an additional increase in critical hits in battle, the team must have units that can apply up to 3 debuffs at a time (ideally). However, this option is not mandatory unless there are problems with the balance of important attacking characteristics. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 26-582 DEF 21-463 | Increases the owner's crit dmg by 30-50%. When the owner's basic attack or skill does not deal crit dmg, crit rate increases by 36-60% for 1 turn. This effect can only be activated once every 1 turns. | It is considered to be the signature light cone of the swordsman, the main advantage of which is that it gives a noticeable increase to crit dmg. Balances the crit rate while the bonuses from the ult are inactive. The weapon can be purchased for Undying Starlight in the namesake section of Pom-Pom's store. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 24-529 DEF 21-463 | Increases owner's crit rate by 8-16% and additionally increases crit rate against enemies with HP below or equal to 50% by 8-16%. When a hero defeats a target, his ATK increases by 20-40% for 2 turns. | Legendary light cone that can be purchased at Herta's shop and for a couple of months of active play in simulated universe superimpose it to SXNUMX. Its main benefit is a steady boost to ATK when conditions are met. When fighting bosses surrounded by additional enemies, kill them every other turn to activate the boost. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 | When the owner attacks the same creature multiple times, the damage dealt is increased by each time. 8-16%, stacking up to 5 times. This effect is removed if the hero changes his target. | An excellent epic option that can seriously compete with the legendary Light Cones. During the passage, a swordsman focused on a single target will be able to get a power increase of 40-80%. A special advantage is that the hero gets 4 stacks at once from one skill, which simplifies the recruitment and rotation with the ult. At the fifth level of imposition, it occupies the second line in the damage rating. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 | Increases the owner's ATK by 16-32%. If there are 2 or less enemies on the battlefield, boosts crit rate by 12-24%. | An alternative option that can also be equipped for combat with elite creatures or bosses. This will give the maximum boost to the main stats of the character: both ATK and crit rate. If there are 3 or more targetson the battlefield, the second part of the passive (the increase to crit rate) will not work. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 | Owner's ATK increases by 12-20%. When the owner makes a critical hit on a target, he gains 1 level of Luck status, which can be stacked up to 4 times. Each existing level increases the Luck by 8-12%. The status is removed at the end of the turn. | Light Cone provides a permanent ATK bonus, and due to the peculiarities of the fencer's passive talents, it can boost crit dmg without additional investments. Luck levels stack after critical hits until the end of the current turn - a skill followed by a bonus hit is suitable for this purpose, which gives a total of 6 actions. Accordingly, in order for the ultimate skill to trigger with increased crit dmg, it is important to have time to use the ability before the statuses are removed. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 38-846 ATK 21-476 DEF 18-396 | At the start of combat, increases speed by 8-12% and their damage by 12-24%. When the hero is targeted by an enemy attack and loses HP, this effect disappears. It will appear again at the end of the next turn. | A good alternative to the above-mentioned light cones. However, to constantly maintain positive effects on the increase in speed and power, it is important that the team has characters that "attract" the attention of opponents. For example, Clara, Fire Trailblazer or Gepard with leveled up "Integrity". Damage can also be prevented by a strong shield of March 7. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 28-635 DEF 21-463 | Crit rate increases by 15-25%. When the owner performs a bonus hit, gains 1 level of the "Luminflux" status, maximum - 2. Each stack allows you, when using the ultimate, to ignore 27-39% of enemy target's defense. At the end of the turn, 1 status level is removed. | The weapon offers a permanent crit rate boost, and also allows you to ignore enemy defense under certain conditions. In the latter case, you need to get stacks by performing bonus actions, but the main problem is that the swordsman can only perform one such strike, which means that the passive will not be fully realized. Since the stacks are removed at the end of the turn, it is advisable to use the ultimate during the activation of the bonus action. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 26-582 DEF 21-463 | Crit rate increases by 18-30%, and the damage from the bonus hit is 30-50%. After performing a bonus action, applies the negative status "Tamed" to the target, which can be stacked up to 2 times. When an ally hits a target with "Tamed", each level of this status increases the damage dealt by 12-20%. | You can use the passive effect of the cone with varying success. The chance of performing a bonus action directly depends on the status «Soulsteel Sync», which can be cancelled upon receiving damage, as well as from the talent level, which specifies a fixed 50-65% chance of a bonus hit occurring. However, the hero will receive a stable increase in crit rate and the ability to impose the «Tamed» status on the enemy for an unlimited number of turns, which will be useful - especially in protracted battles. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 | Increases basic attack and skill damage by 24-48%. This effect will increase by additional 24-48%, when the current energy reaches its maximum level. | A good option that gives a constant increase to damage of abilities. In order for the second part of the passive effect to work, it is important to ignore the use of the ult. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 38-846 ATK 24-529 DEF 15-330 | Increases owner's crit rate by 12-24%. Critical hit has a fixed chance of 16-33% to remove 1 buff from the target. This effect can only occur once per action. | Light cone, which gives a fixed bonus to crit rate, thus providing the opportunity to target leveling other characteristics in relics. The passive for removing various buffs from enemies is also useful, but may not work in the territory of some activities. For example, in Forgotten Hall. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐ HP 33-740 ATK 16-370 DEF 12-264 | After defeating an enemy, it gives an ATK bonus of 24-48% for 3 turns. | A rare alternative to the Galaxy Cruise. It is also recommended to finish off small monsters every 3 turns for the job. It can be an option to equip at the beginning of the game and in case of inability to get a more suitable weapon, since the base stats of three-star "cards" are low. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐ HP 33-740 ATK 16-370 DEF 12-264 | After defeating an enemy creature, gains speed by 10-18% for 2 turns. | Equipment "for the first time": gives a good increase to speed, which is useful in the absence of support characters who can increase this characteristic with their skills. Works similarly to the “Cruising in the Stellar Sea” and “Darting Arrow” cones. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐ HP 38-846 ATK 14-317 DEF 12-264 | At the beginning of the battle increases the crit rate by 12-24% for 3 turns. | A good option that can be equipped in the early stages of Trailblazing. Provides a noticeable boost to crit rate and, being a 3-star weapon, can be upgraded to max rank within a few in-game days. |
What relics and ornaments are needed
As for choosing relics, it is worth considering sets for the bonus to ice damage, attack power and crit dmg. The presented sets can suit the character completely or in a combination of 2 + 2.
Cavern relics
| Name | Effects | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases frost damage by 10%. 4 parts: When using the ultimate, increases crit dmg by 25% for 2 turns. | The main set, which, in addition to the bonus to elemental damage, gives an increase to the crit dmg after using the ult. Given the peculiarity of the ultimate, the character will receive a noticeable bonus to critical characteristics, which allows you to concentrate on other indicators while leveling artifacts. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: increases crit rate by 8%. 4 parts: Increases skill and super ability damage by 20%. After using the ultimate, the power of the next skill is boosted by 25%. | A strong set that provides crit rate and a buff to the skill and ultimate, which make up most of the character's power. Additionally, you can get an additional increase in skill damage if you use an ultimate beforehand. Since this bonus is always activated on the next skill use, there is no need to adjust the rotation specifically. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases ATK by 12%. 4 parts: Increases owner's speed by 6% and basic attack damage by 10%. | A versatile relic set that is suitable not only for DPS, but also for support heroes whose buffs are based on ATK. If you can't get the Glacial Forest set with good stats, the Musketeer is the best option, which can be later equipped on another unit. |
![]() ![]() | 2 parts "Arrow": Increases ATK by 12%. 2 parts "Hunter": Increases ice damage by 10%. | A 2x2 set of the best cavern relic sets that is easy to farm. Provides the character with a stable increase in power. With good stats, the mix is as useful as full sets. |
![]() | 2 parts: Increases ATK by 12%. 4 parts: Increases crit rate by 6%. After the owner performs a bonus hit, the damage of their super ability increases by 30%. This effect lasts for 1 turn. | One of the best sets for the hero, but extremely unstable due to the random element in the activation of his bonus actions. The set combines well with "Rutilant Arena" and "Inert Salsotto", as well as with the swordsman's own buffs. The set will decently increase the power of his super ability if used immediately after the bonus hit. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases break effect by 16%. 4 parts: Increases the owner's break effect by an additional 16%. When the owner breaks vulnerability, 3 energy is restored. | An alternative option, relevant in the early stages of the game. You can get it for completing various initial activities, from main and side quests to solving puzzles in the open world. Provides an increase to the "break effect" characteristic, which is aimed at increasing one-time damage at the moment of breaking the enemy's vulnerability. Useless if the opponent has no weakness to the ice element. |
| Prisoner in Deep Confinement / Hunter of Glacial Forest / Messenger Traversing Hackerspace ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts of "Prisoner": Increases ATK by 12%. 2 parts "Hunter": Grants a 10% bonus to ice damage. 2 parts of “Hackerspace”: Increases speed by 6%. | Alternative 2x2 options, which can be equipped in the absence of complete sets with the required upgraded characteristics. As you farm and upgrade the desired sets, they have to be replaced. |
Planar ornaments
| Name | Effects | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Rutilant Arena ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases crit rate by 8%. If the owner's crit rate is 70% (or higher), his basic attack and skill damage increases by 20%. | An perfect option, since it increases the damage of the basic attack and skill, which this character, as the main DPS, uses on a permanent basis. Considering the significant increase in crit rate during combat, it is not recommended to completely collect the characteristic through artifacts. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases the owner's ATK by 12%. If the owner's Speed is greater than or equal to 135/160, the damage dealt increases by 12%/18%. | An enhanced version of the Space Sealing Station starting planar ornaments. Requires a huge amount of speed, so it is recommended to equip it only if it is possible to develop the necessary values during the battle. For example, using support skills of Asta or Hanya and the active trace “Gentle Blade”. Note that the set is expensive in terms of investment in one characteristic, but it fully justifies it, therefore it occupies the second line of recommendations. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases ATK by 12%. If the owner's Speed is equal to (or higher than) 120, ATK is further increased by 12%. | The third most effective set, which will increase the overall damage of skills. For full activation of the ornaments, it is important that the character's speed is equal to (or higher) 120. To do this, it is enough to level the 'boots' part of the cavern relics set for this characteristic. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases the owner's crit rate by 8%. If the owner's crit rate is equal to (or higher than) 50%, the damage of their super ability and bonus attack increases by 15%. | A set that will give a boost to crit rate, and also increase the power of the hero's bonus hits. Can be equipped if there is no more worthy alternative. In other cases, it fades into the background due to the narrow focus of the bonuses. |
| Celestial Differentiator ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases the owner's crit dmg by 16%. If the owner's current crit dmg is equal to (or higher than) 120%, at the start of the battle, crit rate is increased by 60% until the end of their first hit. | A set that provides an increase to the priority characteristic - crit dmg. Recommended for equipment if there are no more suitable alternatives. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 parts: Increases wearer's energy recovery rate by 5%. If the wearer's Speed is 120 or higher, then at the start of combat, the wearer's action is advanced by 40%. | A good set that can be equipped at the early stages of the game. It will advance action, thanks to which the hero will have "Soulsteel Sync" active at the beginning of the battle. |

![]() | ![]() | ![]() | An epic healer with debuffer abilities whose main healing comes from hitting enemies. Can also instantly heal with a skill and an enhanced basic attack. |
As for teaming up with other representatives of the Hunt, it can be useful for completing activities where the player needs to fight a single opponent (for example, a boss or a larger elite enemy). In other cases, the hero needs support in the form of representatives of the Path of Destruction or the Path of Erudition, capable of attacking multiple targets.

| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | A convenient team with a main DPS around which the pack is built. Tingyun imposes positive effects on the growth of ATK and fills with energy. Bronya, like Asta, increases the number of turns per cycle. Gepard ensures comfortable cmpleting any activity with strong shields. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Pela supports the main DD in the person of the swordsman, cutting off the defense of enemies, and on E4 reduces the ice resistance of the target. Aventurine does not allow the Soulsteel Sync to dissipate, protecting from attacks. Cipher is focused on boosting overall damage. | |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Yunli or Clara are the main target of enemies due to their high Taunt stat. The swordsman actively uses his abilities while the enemies are distracted. Pela or Welt are engaged in spreading negative effects, and Tribbie increases the power of all allies. In combination with Yunli/Clara, March 7 or Lynx is used to support survivability and increase the likelihood of being attacked. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | A team with full defense from Gepard and stable healing from Huohuo or Lingsha. Asta/Hanya increases the speed and ATK of allies. The young man focuses on destroying single targets. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() | Yukong will boost the crit dmg and rate of the leading DPS. Luocha is used as a healer, since the archer will provide him with a bonus of imaginary damage. The Trailblazer acts as a shielder and tank. With sufficient healing, a character with defensive functions can be replaced with a debuffer. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | An expensive team built with two legendary characters of the Path of the Hunt, one of which can be replaced with the epic Dan Heng if desired. The team may lack skill points, so Hanya/Sparkle is used in as a buffer, dealing with the distribution of positive statuses on the main DPS and passive resource restoration. Gallagher heals, rarely uses his skill and relies heavily on basic attacks. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | A pack for those who want to play both the general and his skilled assistant - each of them is focused on fighting enemies. Tribbie boosts the team. If you use Pela,focus on lowering the defense of enemies with her ultimate. Gepard covers the group from incoming attacks, and also draws the attention of opponents. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | The second damage dealer position can be filled by Topaz, who is not only a standalone DPS, but can also synergize with Soulsteel Sync's bonus hits. A buffer on the team increases the effect or effectiveness of break. Lingsha or Gallagher benefit from buffs and work with allies' bonus actions to provide consistent healing. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | A mono-ice team with devastating AoE damage. In such a group, the young man sacrifices Soulsteel Sync to boost Jingliu. The swordswoman can be replaced with Misha if you want to rely on the swordsman's abilities. Pela lowers the overall defense of enemies and cuts ice resistances at E4. Gepard prevents damage from being received. If you have problems with survivability, you can consider Lynx as a replacement for the debuffer. |
Examples of more budget teams consisting only of epic characters:
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A comfortable hyper-carry team, where heroes can be replaced with legendary units with similar functions if desired. Tingyun and Pela support the main DD with power buffs and debuffs of enemy targets. Trailblazer distracts the enemy and takes the position of support DPS, dealing damage with the ult. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | F2P team, where the swordsman is the main DPS. Representatives of the Path of Erudition support the young man as a support DD, concentrating on performing AoE attacks. The Fire Trailblazer takes the brunt of the blows, being supported by Gallagher. When switching the main character to Harmony, it will be possible to increase the power, but it will be necessary to concentrate on protecting the swordsman. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A budget group of starting characters, where the Trailblazer helps the swordsman get rid of opponents and break through physical vulnerability. Asta gives an increase to ATK, and March 7 puts shields on the team members, protecting them from enemy attacks for 2 turns. |
In a separate guide, you can find best team setups, which are effective both at the initial stages of the game and at later stages. Using them as example, you can easily learn how to create your own teams.
Conclusion
Yanqing is a strong DPS character who deals devastating blows to single targets. The main advantage of the swordsman is that his personal abilities provide an increase to such important characteristics as crit. mass. This, undoubtedly, simplifies the hero build, if we talk about finding a good light cone and relics.
Like any other representative of the Path of the Hunt, he cannot do without proper support: heroes who can either heal or block incoming damage with a powerful shield are important to him. In addition, do not forget about warriors who can focus the attention of enemies on themselves - alas, if the fencer is constantly subjected to pressure from enemies, he will lose the buffs he receives from Soulsteel Sync.
And although playing him can cause certain difficulties, one cannot fail to note the fact that units with the Luofu Xianzhou General's assistant are able to reach good heights. The main thing is to get used to the rotation.
We hope we helped you create the best build for Yanqing in Honkai: Star Rail. Feel free to ask your questions about the hero in comments, so that the author or other players are able to help you.
