In Genshin Impact, Kanou's Hidden Quest is a challenging puzzle consisting of three stages at different locations of the Luyang Academy. An artist wants to paint a scene with several birds in one place, but they just won't fly to him.

The man is standing in the northern part of the Luyang Academy, near one of the pavilions. Complete the Long live life quest first, otherwise he will not appear.
How to complete Kanou's Puzzle with Cranes in Genshin Impact
There are three bowls near him, which you can't interact with at first. In Luyang's territory, find three puzzles with bird paintings and solve them.
After that, put the fish in all the bowls and you'll be able to get the treasures.
The First Crane
A painting of it can be found during the Long Live Life quest, at the stage of restoring space in the Abode of Resplendent Talent, where Traveler is sent by Daozi.
Take the large scroll on the left wall with the image of a plant on the stand to make another drawing appear.
Activate it with Dex, after which a bird and an exquisite chest will appear.
The Second Crane
You'll find the second one right at the entrance to the location, near the western teleporter. Take the scroll from the boat and place it on the rock with the pine tree nearby. You'll also receive a regular treasure.
The Third Crane
Located in the east at the top of the mountain, accessible after solving the puzzle with Castiglione near the teleporter at the base of the mountain. Take the drawing on the table and match it with the sun in the sky to earn the "Undaunted By Drifting Clouds" achievement and a precious chest.
What to do if you can't interact with the bowl
Sometimes one of the bowls remains inactive. Check if you've solved all the puzzles. If so, re-log into the game.
Rewards
For helping the artist, you will receive three regular chests containing the following resources:
- Primogems ×6.
- Mora.
- Adventurer's Experience.
- Memory factor ×3.
