Yavita swims in circles, and there are two ways to make her leave the water:

Place ice cubes near the barrier (method one)
Using the T-shaped cube, place ice at the two points on the pond fence through which the bird passes. If Yavita only slows down, disappears at the obstacle, and then reappears beyond it, this method fails to solve the puzzle, and you should proceed to the second method.
Freeze the Yavita bird (second method)
Deal damage to the Cryo bird to inflict the Freeze status effect, and wait for the ice to clear, causing Yavitu to inflate into a ball. In this state, she's vulnerable to movement: hit her a couple of times with a one-handed sword or spear wielder to roll her to the shore and complete Kintutu's quest.
