In Genshin impact Clorinde is a primary damage dealer of Electro elemental that converts incoming healing into the Bond of Life debuff. In combat, she enters a special stance and replaces her sword with pistols, that let her use normal blows.
Due to her skills, the heroine is not picky about supports and can play with both healers and shielders, getting advantages from each support character option. Her passive ability provides her with a decent amount of ATK, which allows you to refuse third-party buffers and take more sub-DDs into the group for the best overall damage.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Let's take a closer look at all the pros and cons to understand all the nuances of the companion before you start building Clorinde:
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| She is a strong primary damage dealer who can hit at both in close and medium range thanks to her alternating sword strikes and musket shots. | Has the Electro element, which is why she is unable to compete with damage dealers who play through stronger first-order reactions. |
| She can heal herself and inflict Bond of Life, which is what her main gameplay is based on. | Healing from supports does not work, but instead gives her BoL. For this reason, it is worth choosing such supports who, in addition to pure healing, are able to give something useful to the entire squad, for example, elemental status or buffs. |
| Shots fired during the Swift Hunt have a piercing effect, which allows you to quickly deal with groups of enemies. | Using abilities with different amounts of BoL gives different effects, which is why you need to constantly monitor the debuff level and rotation. |
| While ascending, critical chance rate increases. This characteristic is also enhanced with the passive skill Lawful Remuneration, which simplifies choosing stats in artifacts and allows you to pay more attention to Crit DMG. | There are powerful constellations that greatly enhance the companion compared to C0. |
| When leveling up, she only needs ATK and crits. Elemental Burst is quite cheap, and Elemental Mastery is a situational stat. | |
| Has a useful passive that simplifies farming specialties in Fontaine. |
Best Builds for Clorinde in Genshin Impact

Clorinde is a primary Electro damage dealer whose mechanics are dependent on Bond of Life, the value of which constantly changes during the battle. The heroine deals all her damage during the Night Vigil stance with her elemental skill, but her attacks in this state are considered normal.
For artifact stats, she is especially in need of attack power, since for the passive Dark-Shattering Flame to work fully, she needs to gain 3000 points of this stat. Crit. damage and crit. chance are also useful for her, but due to the high base hit chance, it is worth paying more attention to Crit DMG. Energy recharge not really needed due to the inexpensive elemental burst, but extra percent of this stat in sub-stats will not be superfluous.
It is worth considering EMseparately. The girl has Electro God's Eye, so this characteristic will only be useful when playing in squads with Dendro reactions. In other cases, building Clorinde into EM makes no sense.
Recommended Stats
In the table below you can see the recommended stats for each artifact in more detail:
| Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
|---|---|---|
![]() | HP (fixed) | Attack Power% CRIT DMG CRIT Rate Energy Recharge/Elemental Mastery |
![]() | Attack Power (fixed) | Attack Power% CRIT DMG CRIT Rate Energy Recharge/Elemental Mastery |
![]() | Attack Power% | CRIT DMG CRIT Rate Energy recharge Elemental Mastery |
![]() | Bonus Electro Damage% Attack Power% | Attack Power% CRIT DMG CRIT Rate Energy Recharge/Elemental Mastery |
![]() | CRIT DMG CRIT Rate | Attack Power% CRIT Rate/DMG Energy Recharge/Elemental Mastery |
Recommended values:
- ATK: ~3000 for full usage of the passive.
- CRIT Rate/DMG should be in a ratio of 1:2, for example, 60% Crit Rate accounts for 120% Crit DMG. Keep in mind that with full leveling and meeting the passive condition, the duelist will already have 44.2% Crit Rate.
- Energy recharge: ~120%-140%.
- Elemental Mastery: 150-250 when playing with Dendro heroes.
Without supports, it is impossible to get 3000 points of ATK, so it is recommended to either use buffers or take a goblet for this characteristic. In the second case, you need to compensate for the loss of the elemental stat with third-party enhancements. These can be Kazuha, Sucrose C6, Furina or the Archaic Petra.
Best Weapons
The weapon should fully correspond to the characteristics that will be useful for her in battle. For example, this includes Crit DMG, ATK or elemental damage. It is also worth paying attention to the high base of the weapon, which will simplify getting this stat for the passive skill Dark-Shattering Flame. Despite the fact that Clorinde's signature is her top-1, the heroine has a lot of alternative options.
| Name | Description | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 48-674 CRIT DMG: 9.6%-44.1% | CRIT damage increases by 20%-40%. When Bond of Life increases, the weapon wielder's damage increases by 16%-32% for 6 sec. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | Clorinde's signature weapon, which suits her perfectly and provides buffs from the change in the level of BoL the character plays with. In addition, the sword has a large base and a lot of Crit DMG, which combines especially well with her passive increase in Crit Rate. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 48-674 CRIT DMG: 9.6%-44.1% | Grants 12%-24% bonus elemental damage and the Mistsplitter's Emblem. With 1/2/3 levels, the wielder receives 8%-16%/16%-32%/ 28%-56% elemental damage bonus accordingly. Emblems can be obtained in the following cases:
| A sword that has the same base stats as the signature and is almost as good as it in terms of damage output. It's great for a duelist as it can easily maintain all stacks of the Mistsplitter's Emblem. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 46-608 CRIT Rate: 7.2%-33.1% | Grants 12%-24% elemental damage bonus. When allies use their E, the wielder receives 0.5 stack of Wavespike once every 1 sec. You can have no more than 2 stacks in total. When the wielder deals elemental damage, all stacks of Wavespike are consumed, and the character receives the Rippling Upheaval effect, increasing the damage of a normal attack by 20%-40% for each stack for 8 sec. | Despite the fact that the girl has her own Crit Rate and increases it through the passive, this sword allows you to immediately close all the character's needs for this characteristic. Gives a lot of elemental bonus, and also enhances regular shots. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 44-542 CRIT DMG: 19.2%-88.2% | Increases critical chance by 4%-8%. When a normal attack deals damage while infused, the character will once every 12 sec. gains the effect of Foliar Incision, which increases the damage of normal attacks and elemental skills by 120%-240% of elemental mastery. The effect disappears after 12 seconds or 28 activations. | A good option when playing in a squad with Dendro reactions, where the girl has some elemental mastery or a buffer that will increase this characteristic. Significantly increases Crit DMG and gives a little Crit Rate, which somewhat simplifies the choice of artifacts. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 44-542 CRIT Rate: 9.6%-44.1% | Increases HP by 20%-40%. Increases attack power by 1.2%-2.4% of the wielder's max HP. | A universal sword with a good base and a large amount of Crit Rate, which suits almost all damage dealers. Despite the fact that ATK depends on HP, you should not gain more of this stat in artifacts at the expense of other characteristics. |
![]() ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 44-565 ATK: 6-27,6% | Increases normal and charged attack damage by 20-40%, as well as the critical hit chance of normal and charged attacks by 8-16%, if the character is protected by a shield. | The sword will boost the main source of damage and make stat balancing easier, allowing you to get 20% less crit. chance. However, to fully use it, it is very important to have a reliable shielder, ideally without downtime in uptime. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 42-510 CRIT Rate: 6%-27.6% | Increases normal and hold attack damage by 20%-40%. Critical hits with these types of attacks once every 5 sec. restore health equal to 60%-100% of ATK. | The best 4 ⭐ sword, giving crit chance and buffing normal hits. In addition, the sword periodically heals the wielder, which adds additional BoL. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 44-542 CRIT DMG: 19.2%-88.2% | Increases the damage of normal attacks by 16%-32%, E-attack damage by 24%. When the active hero deals Geo damage, the effects are increased by 100% for 15 sec., and the wearer's defense is increased by 20%-40%. | An acceptable option that can be used if there is no other wielder for the sword. Gives a lot of Crit DMG and enhances normal shots. However, the elemental skill and defense buffs are useless, and the second part of the passive will only work if the heroine plays with Geo characters in the squad. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 44-565 ATK: 6%-27.6% | Activating an E-attack once every 10 sec. increases attack power by 12%-24% for 15 sec., and also gives Bond of Life equal to 25% of max HP. After Bond of Life is removed, attack power increases by additional 2.4%-4.8% of the removed debuff value (max. 150-300) for 15 sec. | Another great epic weapon that is available to more players since it is craftable. It gives a lot of ATK from both its stats and passive. Additionally, the sword allows you to gain additional BoL and ATK from its removal, which is quite convenient since it can remove the Impale the Night debuff. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 42-510 ATK: 9%-41.3% | Hitting enemies with a normal, charged, or plunging attack every 8 sec. summons a Hewing Gale that deals area damage equal to 180% of attack power, and increases attack power by 15% for 8 sec. | ATK sword with fixed passive stat values. The weapon can be obtained for free without any investment, so it is good for beginners or in the absence of better alternatives. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 42-510 Elemental Mastery: 36-165 | After dealing elemental damage, increases all damage dealt by 6%-12% for 6 sec. The effect stacks up to 2 times and occurs once every 1 sec. | Another craftable sword, but more situational due to the elemental mastery in the sub-stat. If the heroine plays through Dendro reactions, this weapon can be given to her at first to increase all damage. However, there is no special point in crafting the sword specifically. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐ Base stat: 39-401 CRIT DMG: 10.2%-46.9% | Increases crit. chance by 14%-28% at HP level above 90%. | A great 3 ⭐ sword that simplifies stat balancing. When using it, it is recommended to take a shielder into your squad or dodge enemies more carefully to keep the passive active. |
Best Artifacts
Artifacts for Clorinde should be chosen for their ATK values and normal attack buffs, as well as increase of elemental or general damage.
| Name | Description | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 Piece: Increases ATK by 18%. 4 Piece: When the Bond of Life level is changed, the character's damage is increased by 18% for 6 sec. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | The best set of artifacts. Gives ATK and increases overall damage by 54%. Since the girl is able to independently increase or decrease her BoL, she will constantly keep all three stacks active. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 Piece: Increases ATK by 18%. 4 Piece: Increases the damage of normal attacks by 35% if the character wields a one-handed, two-handed or polearm weapon. | Another great set that provides her with all the buffs she needs. The character wields a one-handed sword, so she can freely activate the full set bonus. This set is also available from early ranks for all players. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 Piece: Increases ATK by 18%. 4 Piece: Hit with normal attacks has a 36% chance of granting Valley Rite, which increases the damage of normal attacks by 70% of attack power. If the effect is not activated, the chance of its occurrence increases by 20% with each normal attack. | The third option is somewhat inferior to the previous ones due to the random element in the second part of the passive. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 Piece: Increases ATK by 18%. 4 Piece: After using the skill, spends 15 energy and increases the damage of normal/charged/plunging attacks by 50% for 10 sec. | A decent set that forces you to stack a bit more energy regen and use Elemental Burst correctly to get the buff and not break your rotation. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 Piece: Gives 15% bonus Electro damage. 4 Piece: Increases damage from Overloaded, Charged, Superconduct, Hyperbloom reactions by 40%. Damage from Aggravate increases by 20%. Activating these reactions, as well as Quicken, reduces the cooldown time of E by 1 sec. | The heroine deals all her damage under Electro Infusion, and also actively participates in causing various reactions, so this set will work well for her. However, you should not purposefully get this set if you have one of the sets presented above. |
![]() ![]() ![]() | 2 Piece: Increases ATK by 18%. 2 Piece: Gives 15% bonus Electro damage. 2 Piece: Increases the damage of normal and charged attacks by 15%. | Universal 2+2 mix. You can use any combination until you have the full set you need. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 2 Piece: Increases the damage of normal and charged attacks by 15%. 4 Piece: Increases the damage of normal and charged attacks by 25% for 8 sec. after using E. | A beginner's set that significantly increases the damage of normal shots. |
Teams

The Duelist is a main damage dealer, the one that dictates whole setup. She plays off the Bond of Life mechanic, and also cannot be healed by the abilities of allies. However, unlike Arlecchino, who is also associated with this debuff, healers give her additional values of BoL. Therefore, they can be actively used in her squads, especially if they give useful buffs or elemental status for reactions.
Also, when choosing a group, you need to consider her second passive, Dark-Shattering Flame. The heroine needs to trigger Electro reactions, and to get the maximum increase, you need to trigger 3 reactions. These can be reactions of the same type, for example, several Quicken trigger, or interactions with different elements: Overloaded and Charged at the same time.
Characters with good synergy
Let's take a closer look at some of the companions that can be added as allies.
Secondary damage dealer
Heroes that hit from the pocket and help with triggering reactions:
| Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Pocket Hydro damage dealer that hits during elemental bursts along with the main DD. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A budget substitute for Elan. Also reduces incoming damage, increases interrupt resistance and passively gives Hydro status when close to an enemy. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A strong support character who can not only passively hit Hydro from the pocket and give buffs, but also is able to wear the Marechaussee Hunter. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | With the help of her ability, hits hard, gives Hydro status and distracts enemies to herself, and also applies Omen to enemies, which serves as a buff to increase damage. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Handy pocket Dendro damager who tags enemies. Also increases elemental mastery of allies with her dome. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Free Dendro sub-dd, available to all players. Places a field that periodically hits enemies with Dendro damage. Due to the short cooldown of the skill, can serve as a battery. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Similar to Dendro Traveler, but less convenient due to the shorter and smaller ultimate. For convenience, you can combine her with another Dendro Character. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Deals high Pyro damage in a large area around the active character using an elemental burst. Guoba will give an additional status and increase ATK with pepper. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Mavuika can provide Pyro status to play through Overloaded and buff the active character. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Attacks Pyro together with the main character, and also deflects some of the incoming damage. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Pyro Traveler can give enough status for Overloaded and will be able to buff due to the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Causes Swirl, pulls enemies in, and also absorbs one of the elements with the ult, helping in causing various reactions. Can wear the Viridescent Venerer set. A highly desirable ally if your Clorinde has an ATK goblet to make up for the lack of an elemental bonus. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Does basically the same thing as Kazuha, but instead of elemental damage, buffs Elemental Mastery if you don't have C6. |
![]() | ![]() | Deals additional damage, has a small pulling effect if she has consts. The passive ability to increase ATK is beneficial for Clorinde, who needs a lot of this stat. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Creates a field inside which hits enemies with Geo along with the active damage dealer. The ult can enhance the elemental mastery of allies. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Summons a doll with Geo attacks and causes Crystallize reaction. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Combines well with fast shots and triggers resonance. |
Supports
Support characters that provide useful buffs, healing, shields and additional elemental status:
| Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Hydro healer that provides a large amount of elemental status. Kokomi can be given the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers for an additional ATK boost. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Increases elemental skill damage and heals. Although this buff is not needed by the heroine herself, it may be useful to some of her allies. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Provides permanent Bond of Life and heals and shields his allies. Attacks from the pocket and applies status to enemies, and also boosts Dendro reactions, including Hyperbloom and Quicken. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A budget analogue of Baizhu, but without a shield. Since the duelist heals herself, Yaoyao will mainly provide a stable Dendro status, but will also be able to heal allies if necessary. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Places a field inside which increases ATK and heals, boosting BoL. Can also restore energy and apply Pyro status. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Support character for Overloaded teams. Increases the ATK of Electro and Pyro characters, and also decreases the resistance of enemies to this element. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Pyro shielder who additionally fights with his element during the active character's attacks. Strengthens normal attacks at C6. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Geo support that can boost normal attacks. She can also be given the Favonius Lance to restore energy to allies. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Geo shielder that reduces enemy resistance. With good leveling, he can hit hard with his ult, and also wear the Archaic Petra set for the elemental buff. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Dendro shielder who can increase the durability of his shields. His Ult applies Dendro status. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Since the duelist uses normal shots, Lan Yan will be able to protect the team by constantly maintaining shields. In addition, her Anemo element will help to cause various reactions. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Great for teams with Charged or Electro Resonance. Teams with Dendro and Anemo characters may have trouble activating samples. |
Examples of powerful commands
Clorinde's strongest teams are built around triggering elemental reactions, and also have an ATK or elemental damage buffer. It's easier to perform full rotation with shielders, but healers will help maintain a stable BoL, so you can use any supports depending on your personal preferences. Cryo allies, although they will gain passive stacks due to the Superconduct reaction, will not bring any benefit, so you should refrain from them.
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Group through Lunar Charge. Thanks to the second level of Omen, Hydro's status from Aino's attacks is enough for stable reactions, and Ineffa, in addition to the Charged transformation, will protect against enemies. Sucrose — the best option among all Anemo supports. | |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Squad through various reactions, including Hyperbloom, Charged, and Swirl. Dendro character gives status. Among Hydro characters, you can choose a sub-DD or a healer. Sucrose will pull enemies and increase the elemental mastery of the squad. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | The group plays through similar reactions, only with a Geo character to create Crystals. Furina takes the position of sub-dd and buffer with her ult. Dendro healer increases Bond of Life and causes reactions. Zhongli protects the squad, creates crystals and reduces the resistance of enemies. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | A team with Electro Resonance via the Charged reaction. Due to the Xilonen debuff, which spreads to all allies and her ability to trigger the reaction with two elements at once, the squad functions perfectly. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | Squad through Quicken, Aggravate and Electro Crystals. Any Dendro character will do as a sub-DD, since they are also helped by a support, where you can choose a shielder or a healer. Albedo hits Geo from the pocket and buffs elemental mastery with his ult. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A group with Electro and Hydro resonances, where most of the damage comes from the elemental skills of allies under the buff of Sigewinne. With another healer or a sub-DD other than the ones who play off their Es, the team will do significantly worse. Furina is in Ousia mode. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | A taser team with Hydro Resonance. Yelan or Xingqiu hit together with Clorinde and cause Charged reactions. Furina buffs the squad and also heals in Pneuma mode. Sigewinne can also take the role of healer if desired. Yun Jin boosts normal attacks and creates Electro and Hydro Crystals. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Another version of the taser, but with Electro resonance for restoring energy. The Hydro character causes reactions and gives a boost to the overall damage of the group. For the last slot, you can choose any Anemo character for Swirl and pulling enemies together. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | An expensive team that requires a good rotation to maintain Bond of Life without healing the team. Fro Zhongli, it's worth choosing the Archaic Petrato buff Clorinda's Electro. Nahida deals damage with her E ticks, and the Anemo character cuts off resistances. If you can't hold BoL this way, you can replace Kazuha or Lynette with Jean or Sayu. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | A substitute for the "national" team with Clorinde as the lead character. All characters except Clorinde activate elemental bursts and hit from the pocket, causing various reactions including Overloaded, Vaporize, Charged, and Swirl. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | The strongest squad through Quicken. Baizhu is a priority, as he will increase the damage from reactions and provide not only healing, but also resistance to interruption through a symbolic shield for the quality of life. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() | Hyperbloom team with Hydro Resonance, which will increase HP and, accordingly, healing. Hydro and Dendro sub-DD deal damage from off-field, inflicting status on enemies and creating blooms, which are later exploded by Clorinde. Sigewinne is worth taking if Nahida is taken as a Dendro sub-DD, and Kokomi, if you need an ATK buff. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Team via Overloaded with a Pyro sub-dd. Yun Jin buffs Clorinde's shots. Kazuha can absorb both Pyro and Electro elements. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | The group uses Overloaded with Pyro Resonance to increase ATK. The main damage is done by Clorinde and Pyro sub-dd. Chevreuse gives buffs and heals the team. Thoma puts up shields. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | The third variant of the squad with Overloaded and Pyro|Electro resonances. Chevreuse and Bennet give Pyro and increase ATK. Fischl or Yae Miko attack from the pocket and restore energy. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Free Dendro squad with Clorinde. Dendro Traveler places a field for damage and elemental status. Barbara creates Blooms, triggers the Charged reaction, and gives Clorinde Bond of Life. Noelle applies shields and deals extra damage. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | The second version of the F2P command via Overloaded and Vaporize. It is advisable to have time to Swirl the Electro element for Lynette in order to increase Clorinde’s damage. |
Extra Stats For Leveling
The main stat, the value of which increases with the level is CRIT Rate. Along with it, HP, ATK and defense values also increase. See the stats of the companion in more detail in the table below.

| 1 | 1009 | 26 | 61 | 0% |
| 20 | 2616 | 68 | 158 | 0% |
| 40 | 5209 | 136 | 315 | 0% |
| 50 | 6700 | 174 | 405 | 4.8% |
| 60 | 8405 | 219 | 509 | 9.6% |
| 70 | 9913 | 258 | 599 | 9.6% |
| 80 | 11431 | 298 | 692 | 14.4% |
| 90 | 12956 | 337 | 784 | 19.2% |
Thus, having fully upgraded the heroine, you can get 24.2% crit. chance excluding artifacts or weapons.

Skills

The Fontaine Duelist uses her elemental skillto enter Night Vigil, which activates her stance. During it, she receives an infusion and uses altered normal attacks, which give her the Bond of Life (BoL) debuff, and the skill removes it.
Her elemental burst grants the heroine BoL and instantly hits with high damage. It is important to mention that during the stance, healing from allies does not restore her HP, but, on the contrary, increases Bond of Life, which is important for maintaining combat effectiveness. You can only heal outside the stance or with an elemental skill.
You can read in a separate guide on How does Bond of Life work?.
Basic (Active) Skills
Next, we will tell you in more detail about all the mechanics and abilities of Clorinde, as well as in what order you need to upgrade her talents. We will also list all the heroine’s passives and her constellations.
Oath of Hunting Shadows
Normal attack: makes up to five quick sword strikes in melee combat.
Charged Attack: spends some of her stamina and pulls out a musket, which she uses to attack enemies in an area in front of her.
Plunging Attack: descends to the ground and hits an area upon landing.
Hunter's Vigil
- Night Vigil duration: 7.5 sec.
- Cooldown: 16 sec.
She takes a musket and enters the Night Vigil state, in which she uses both a sword and firearms.
Night Vigil: All normal attacks are converted into Swift Hunt, becoming musket shots, and gain an Electro infusion that cannot be interrupted by other infusions. She also cannot use charged attacks in this state. Elemental Skill becomes the ability Impale the Night. During Impale the Night, she dashes forward and hits with Electro. All damage is considered normal attack damage.
While the duelist is in Night Vigil, she can only receive healing from Impale the Night. Healing from other sources does not work and is converted into Bond of Life equal to 80% of the healing received. Night Vigil disappears if you switch to another ally.
Compared to the mechanics of Arlecchino, the main difference is that the duelist does not mind having healers in her team. Since the healing she receives does not reduce her HP, but rather increases it, this helps her maintain her stance. Healers can be considered not just survivability supports, but also partial buffers.
Swift Hunt:
- If the Bond of Life effect is less than 100% of Max HP, her musket shots will give her this debuff based on her health. The bullets will have a piercing effect and deal increased damage to enemies in their path.
- If the Bond of Life effect is greater than or equal to 100% of Max HP, she fires a musket.
Impale the Night: The skill's effect depends on the amount of Bond of Life:
- If it is 0%, the girl makes a dash.
- If it is less than 100% of the heroine's max HP, Impale the Night restores health proportionally to the debuff value, increases the radius and damage of the next Impale the Night.
- If it is greater than or equal to 100% of Max Health, she will perform Impale the Night: Pact, which further restores her HP and increases the radius and damage of her next Impale the Night.

Passive Skills
Abilities that are automatically unlocked upon ascension:
| Talent | Effect |
| Night Vigil's Harvest | Marks Fontaine's specialties on the mini-map. |
| Dark-Shattering Flame |

The effect stacks up to 3 times and is counted separately for each level. The maximum damage increase value cannot exceed 1800. To reach the maximum value, 3000 attack power is required. |
| Lawful Remuneration |

The effect stacks up to 2 times. In addition, the Night Vigil status is enhanced: while it is active, the percentage of healing converted to Bond of Life increases to 100%. |
Talent Leveling Order
E (elemental skill) > Q (elemental burst) > Basic attacks.
Priority for skill upgrades:
- Most of the damage comes from her elemental skill, which gives infusion and enhances normal attacks. It should be leveled first and raised to the maximum level.
- Elemental burst needs to be upgraded along with the E to at least level 7, since it not only hits great, but also gives the effect of BoL, the percentage of which increases with each level of the ability.
- Normal attacks , however, they are not needed, since their damage does not accounted in the Night Vigil and they only work outside of it.
Constellations
| Name | Effects |
| 1. "From This Day, I Pass the Candle's Shadow-Veil" |
The electro damage of Clorinde's normal attack, hitting an enemy while the Night Vigil is in effect, summons a Nightvigil Shade next to him. The Shade makes two combined attacks, each of which deals Electro damage equal to 30% of Clorinde's attack power. The effect can occur in 1.2 seconds. Damage dealt this way is considered normal attack damage. |
| 2. "Now, As We Face the Perils of the Long Night" |
Passive Talent: Dark-Shattering Flame is buffed when a nearby party member uses Electro Reaction on an enemy, Clorinde's Electro Damage from a normal attack, and Last Lightfall increases by 15% of her attack power for 30 sec. The effect stacks up to 15 times, and the timing of each level is counted separately. At 3 levels, Clorinde's interrupt resistance increases. The maximum increase in Clorinde's attack damage gained this way cannot exceed 3. To reach the maximum value, 3000 attack power is required. |
| 3. "I Pledge to Remember the Oath of Daylight" | Increases elemental skill level by 3. Max. level: 15. |
| 4. "To Enshrine Tears, Life, and Love" | The damage dealt by the Last Lightfall skill increases in proportion to the percentage of Clorinde's Bond of Life. | 5. "Holding Dawn's Coming as My Votive" | Increases the level of Last Lightfall (elemental burst) by 3. Max. level: 15. |
| 6. "And So Shall I Never Despair" |
Within 12 sec. after using Hunter's Vigil (E), Clorinde's Crit Rate increase by 10% and her crit. damage by 70%. Additionally, while the Night Vigil is active, in certain situations the Glimbright Shade will appear and attack, dealing 200% of Clorinde's attack power as Electro damage. Damage dealt this way is considered normal attack damage. The Glimbright Shade appears in the following situations:
Glimbright Shade can be summoned in such a way no more than once every 1 sec. During the same Night Vigil state, Glimbright Shade can be summoned up to 6 times. Additionally, while in Night Vigil state, Clorinde's damage taken is reduced by 80% and her resistance to interruption is increased. This effect ends when the Night Vigil ends or within 1 second. after summoning the Glimbright Shade for 6 times. |
The best constellations of Clorinde are С1, С4 и С6.
- The first constellation allows for two additional hits during the Night Vigil stance when using normal attacks. This adds up to a pretty good bonus to the final damage, since she spends most of her time in Night Vigil.
- The fourth constellation increases the damage from the next elemental burst depending on the amount of Bond of Life. To get the maximum bonus, you need to have 100% Bond of Life. This is very convenient, since in the ult, the girl first applies a debuff on herself, and then hits with increased damage.
- The sixth constellation is the most powerful because it not only provides useful stats, but also allows you to deal additional powerful blows to enemies.
How to play Clorinde

The entire gameplay is built around her elemental skill, which puts her into the Night Vigil state, a special stance during which the heroine receives Electro Infusion. The rest of the abilities' effects depend on the amount of Bond of Life.
Initially, this parameter is 0%, and it needs to be increased to 100% and above. This can be done in two ways:
- fire three shots from the stance (each shot gives 35% BoL);
- activate your ultimate immediately after the Night Vigil.
It is important to reset Bond of Life on time, since the damage from the shots from the Swift Hunt are higher when the debuff is less than 100%, and also in this case they are able to pierce through enemies.
Since the girl cannot be healed from external sources, she needs to be healed with Impale the Night, an elemental skill that works while in a stance. It is recommended to use the third type of her E, Impale the Night: Pact, as it provides more healing. Keep in mind that using Impale the Night resets your BoL, so you need to refill it with regular attacks or your ult.
Rotation
Skill Order:
Supports/sub-dd> Q (Elemental Burst) > E (Elemental Skill) > E (Impale the Night: Pact) > 3 Normal Hits > E (Impale the Night: Pact) > 3 Normal Hits.
A more detailed description of the rotation:
- Use sub-dd and support abilities to activate buffs and pocket skills that will grant elemental status for reactions.
- Switch to Clorinde and activate her Elemental Burst to gain Bond of Life, while also triggering a reaction or two and increasing your normal hit damage from the passive.
- Immediately after this, activate the elemental skill to enter the Night Vigil stance and change the ability to Impale the Night.
- Use Impale the Night: Pact and remove BoL.
- Fire 3 shots to refill Bond of Life to the required value again and cast Impale the Night: Pact again.
- Repeat until the stance ends, then return to the first step as your abilities cool down.
Is the Character Worth Pulling?

Clorinda is a legendary Electro character in Genshin Impact who thrives on normal attacks while her Night Watch stance is active. Furthermore, her shots and skills change their effects depending on the amount of Life Debt debuff she has. During the game, she must constantly monitor her Life Debt level and apply and remove it promptly. Clorinda also cannot receive healing from allies, which will complicate gameplay for players who always have a healer in their party.
In addition, it is important for her to trigger reactions with allies to increase her own damage, so she usually prefers secondary damage dealers rather than supports with a small amount of status. The heroine cannot be called imbalanced, and when pulling for her, you should be ready to invest a lot of resources to unlock her full potential.
Which is better: Signature or C1?
Clorinde's signature, Absolution, is better than C1, so it's worth choosing. This sword is the only legendary equipment that provides a buff from increasing the Bond of Life value. Absolution also increases Crit DMG, which the heroine especially needs, by 64.1%.
C1 is worth choosing if your account already has Mistsplitter Reforged, Haran Geppaku Futsu or Light of Foliar Incision, and there are no other heroes for whom the listed swords are more important. Any of these swords is slightly inferior to the signature, so it will also be able to show excellent results and equal damage considering the bonus to Hunter's Vigil's Night Vigil from the first constellation.
History and lore

Clorinda is the most powerful duelist in the Fontaine High Court. Her primary job is to conduct duels with defendants in lieu of regular court hearings. If the guilty party defeats the duelist, they can not only escape punishment but also gain fame. However, her reputation in the Court de Fontaine is so high that defendants refuse to fight as soon as they see her name on the docket.
Being a rather famous person in the Hydro region, the girl does not strive for popularity, and even publicly announced that she does not want to talk to reporters. However, despite her taciturnity and detachment, she is always attentive to those close to her and helps them.
Her story is described in the quest Rapperia: Silent Night.
