Compared to other versions, the update "Memory is like an overture in dreams" will be divided into three phases and will last two weeks longer. Banners scheduled for release during this period will introduce one new Legendary Heroine and "Inescapable Crowds," featuring reruns of five existing characters.
Character Overview
Each of them is considered a worthy representative in their niche, but limited resources force a choice about who to play in patch 3.8. To help with this, we'll briefly review each hero's features and draw general conclusions about their relevance.
Dahlia

Georgina (Non-existence: Fire) — a unique support with buffer and debuffer functions, who takes the second or third position in break groups. Her main feature is a bonus for an ally, allowing her to deal piercing damage even when the enemy's durability hasn't yet been depleted. This helps E/P squads become more competitive in the endgame.
The girl herself is completely unattached to eidolons and signature weapons, which makes her a budget ally whose development can be done over the long term.

Firefly

Firefly (Destruction: Fire) — a hyper-carry character with the "Breakthrough Effect" stat. After the fight begins, he quickly builds up energy to activate his ultimate: thanks to this ability, he gains the "Full Combustion" buff and upgrades the skill to a high-explosive breaking damage attack.
Highly dependent on support units to increase the effectiveness of E/P damage dealers. Early on, it can partner with budget units such as MC (Harmony: Imaginary) и Ruan Mei (Harmony: Ice)However, later it begins to require outside investments, including constituencies.

Fugue

Fugue (Nihility: Fire) — a (de-)buffer that helps hyper-carries deplete their stamina bar. Her skill applies the "Fox's Prayer" buff, increasing allied damage penetration. She deals decent damage herself thanks to her AoE abilities—her enhanced normal attack and her ultimate. She's aimed at breaking squads; outside of this mechanic (in tandem with crit/HP/ATK damage dealers), she won't provide any benefit.

Lingsha

Lingsha (Abundance: Fire) — a sustain-type heroine who restores health and removes debuffs. She's primarily considered a healer in EMP-heavy groups. She also finds use outside of these groups due to her high area-of-effect healing. One of her downsides is her reliance on skill points: her rotation relies on frequent skill use, which may not be suitable for damage dealers who require this resource.
Aglaea

Aglaea (Remembrance: Lightning) — a primary attacking unit that relies on the "Advanced Form" special buff. While this buff is active, it upgrades its basic attack to "Cuts of a Thousand Kiss" and begins to attack opponents together with the spirit Seamstress, additionally accelerating his personal speed.
Due to its high energy requirements, Zlatius strongly favors characters that fill the "tank" in the team. Initially, free and/or epic units can fulfill this function, but as the game progresses into endgame content, Zlatius forces players to consider event-based supports as permanent allies.

Sunday

Sunday (Harmony: Imaginary) — a support specializing in boosting hyper-carries. Compatible with characters that rely on summon mechanics, but Kastoria and Cyrene's ultimate doesn't rely on energy. At the same time, she offers great synergy with other damage dealers due to her impressive list of applied and maintained bonuses.
The Family Head's skill set includes turn advancement, energy regeneration, and increased critical rate and damage. This makes her a sought-after Harmony, which is why she has remained in the meta since release.

Who to spin in update 3.8
The "Event Jumps" of the first and third phases allow you to obtain two attack-type characters, each with different mechanics and teammate requirements:
| Firefly | Aglaea | |
| Role in the team | Main damage dealer | Main damage dealer |
| The best eidolon | E2 | E1 |
| Dependence on the signal | Not necessary | Highly desirable |
| Is it worth it for a newbie to knock out? | No | Yes |
| Is F2P suitable? | Partially | Yes |
- Firefly is a promising hero who gains additional buffs from the release of new supports from Penetration. She's a good investment, but only if you're able to get other useful supports for her, particularly: Constance "Dahlia".
- The Demigoddess of Romance is a good option for those interested in a game based on speed and spirits. In the early stages, she can get by with F2P teams consisting of Tingyun (Harmony: Lightning) и The Trailblazer (Remembrance: Ice), but over time it will require third-party investments.
In addition to damage dealers, you'll be able to participate in "Jumps" with several supports—some of whom are highly specialized, while others can fit into almost any group:
| Dahlia | Fugue | Sunday | Lingsha | |
| Role in the team | Buffer, debuffer, and sap-dd | Buffer, debuffer, and sap-dd | Buffer | Sustain (healer) and sap-dd |
| The best eidolon | E1 | E1-E2 | E0-E2 | E0-E2 |
| Dependence on the signal | Recommended if there are no alternative options | Recommended if there are no alternative options | Not necessary | Not necessary |
| Is it worth it for a newbie to knock out? | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Is F2P suitable? | Partially | Partially | Yes | Yes |
- The Duke of Infernal Fire's Daughter and the Resurrected Fox from Lofu Xianzhou are powerful representatives of the Path of Nothingness, whose abilities are aimed at enhancing the breaking mechanic. If the account has Firefly (Destruction: Fire), Boothill (Hunt: Physical) or Rappa (Erudition: Imaginary), it's worth investing in such (de-)buffers.
- The Penakonia Family Leader is considered one of the best supports, suitable for most damage dealers. He only gets stronger with constipation and will likely remain relevant even in Two-Dimensional until the planet's signature support is released.
- The Cauldron Master from the Alchemy Commission is a good healer who can function outside of break teams. He's an excellent choice if your account needs a stable Path of Abundance representative.
