cooperative in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora presented in the form of the possibility of playing together with 2 players: you can call a friend and go through the story together, liberate outposts and engage in other side activities. The mode itself, however, does not work from the very beginning of the game and requires unlocking. In addition, many players are interested in the balance of co-op difficulty in Avatar, how progression works, and the presence of a cross-platform mode in the game.
In this guide we tell you everything about co-op in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Let's pay attention to the conditions for its opening, progression and the presence of cross-platform play and cross-progression.
How to play online in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Before being able to play co-op at all, the player must complete the following story missions:
- Awakening.
- Pandora.
- Welcome to the Resistance.
- Songs of the ancestor.
- Becoming.
- Clan Aranaje.
Finding the Aranaje clan tree around 2-3 hours into the game will unlock the new quest “Eywa’s Blessing” and the ability to connect with a friend for multiplayer in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Go to the pause menu, select “Co-op” and invite a friend to the session.
How co-op works in Avatar: Pandora's Frontier
In Avatar, the co-op is designed for pairs: the 1st player acts as a host, and the 2nd player connects to him. Both Na'vi explore the host's world, however, all equipment they receive during a joint session will remain with both of them. The same applies to the progress of tasks: the guest and the session host will not need to re-go through quests that he completed together with a friend. The following item types are uniquely saved by both players:
- Equipment.
- Ammunition.
- Crafting materials.
- The weapon.
- Purchased and upgraded items.
A guest can connect to a host who has completed less of the story, but not vice versa.
How the difficulty level changes in co-op playthroughs
Difficulty is customizable: incoming and outgoing damage depends on the difficulty settings made by each player, i.e. for guest and host, they are uniquely dependent on their personal difficulty levels. There are, however, times when the difficulty of the game is strictly adjusted to the Combat Power of the session host. These moments usually relate to story battles.
Is cross-platform mode available?
The cross-play feature works by default: you can play with a friend online, even if his platform is different. There is also an option to disable cross-play:
- In the pause menu, select "Co-op".
- Select the "Co-op Settings" option.
- In the Crossplay line, change the setting to Off.
Moreover, cross-progression is available to one player, thanks to which the owner of one account can play on several platforms at once in one campaign without losing progress.

Listen, I can’t invite you or connect myself. I play on Ps5, from a Russian account. In both cases it gives the error: “Something went wrong”
Very sad...
Is there an error code?
