The Cryo Treasure Compass helps you find chests and oculi in the Snowy region, as it is designed specifically for this region. Genshin ImpactAs you upgrade, the range increases, allowing you to cover 100% of locations without using interactive map and farm everything Primogems from the icy lands.

Where to get the Cryo Treasure Compass in Genshin Impact
To open the compass Snowy, fulfill two requirements:
- Get to the region through the teleporter on the map and progress through the Archons quest "Merciless Frost" to the meeting places.
- Level up any faction to level 1 (by exploring its associated territories by 10% and giving 30 seals to Cryo).
How to use the Snowy Treasure Compass
To equip a tool, go to the section in your inventory "Instruments", marked with a small briefcase icon:
- Replace the current device via the button "Switch" or put any other one in the Quick Change menu.
- In the settings, check the box next to "Quick Replacement" for convenience.
- Click on the compass in the open world on the Snowy territory (if there is a regional type, it will change to it).
After activating the mechanism, nearby chests, time trials, and Cryocules will be displayed on the map. Upgrading the mechanism will increase the search radius and highlight hidden treasures.
How to improve the device
With upgrades, the range and capabilities of the device are expanded:
- 1st level - Marks one nearby chest.
- 3 level - Up to 10 nearby rewards, including Cryocules and Shadowwing Drops.
- 5 level - covers up to the entire island, reveals the location of the remaining trophies.
You can increase your rank through meeting places by clearing locations.
What to do if the device doesn't work
Search may not work for several reasons:
- Leveling rank — the higher the mechanism's level, the larger the area it covers. When at minimum level, change the gathering point more often.
- Leave the battle — The search function is unavailable if the character has been spotted by enemies.
- Scope Each device operates only in its own zone. For convenience, enable "quick change" in the tool settings in your backpack, and it will automatically switch to the required type.
- Collect the marked object - At low ranks, the compass may not mark a chest until you open the one already shown.
If other bugs appear, try re-entering the game or teleporting to Teapot of Serenity/test run and back.
