New interesting tanks as a reward and the updated format of last year's mode is already ready for release. All the details about innovations and deadlines.
Hello tankers! With you Wotpack and today we have good news for fans of new unique vehicles and those who like to farm (and at the same time shake the crew) without compromising statistics — "Front line" is back!
This year, the developers decided to combine Front Line and Steel Hunter with a common line of achievements and prizes - "Expedition".
This time the episodes were replaced by stages. In total, we are waiting for 4 stages, which will be held from March to July. Like last year, each stage lasts one week.
How the new progress system works
There have been few changes here, the basics have remained the same:
- fights are held between teams 30 to 30;
- you can take part only on cars of level 8;
- the effectiveness of the game is determined by ranks (from private to general);
- in the mode, front-line experience is earned, which goes to increase the level.
The most significant change is the halving of the progression of frontline levels. Last year, the developers promised to make this process easier so that players would spend less time in this mode, so the number of levels instead of 30 will now be 15.
The second addition was the introduction daily combat missions especially for LF. They open after taking the maximum level, so the earlier you take it, the more tasks you can complete for the period of this stage:
There is also a change that will not please everyone: progress on a completed stage (4 in total) is reset at the beginning of the next, so it will not be possible to catch up the levels, as in the past year.

New technology as a reward
As for technology, we added last year's US TT AE Phase I and two new TT tanks of the USSR 777 object and ST France Char Future 4. Each of them also has at its disposal a built-in consumable "Large Repair Kit", so you can save money on one of the slots.
Rental equipment
A pleasant change was the expansion of the list of rental vehicles, and the ability to transfer already trained crew without a fine (if the nation and vehicle class match). Added American Heavy T32. As before, the rental of premium equipment will be available, and the gold spent on it will become a discount on the purchase of such (if desired). The list of premium equipment will be published closer to the beginning of the stage.
Skills
Changed skill "Airstrike". Armor penetration has been reduced, but damage has been increased. Now its effectiveness has increased against the "cardboard" technique.
Map Changes
In the 2019 season, the direction was available for selection on the map, but the respawn points were chosen randomly. Now 4 dynamic points have been added for attack players, and 6 dynamic points for revival have been added for defense. The difference in points is dictated by the fact that during the defense to block the directions of the breakthrough.
Both maps have undergone balance changes. The winter map "Kraftwerk" has been supplemented with buildings near the main targets and the landscape has been fixed in some places. Near N2 and N3, a suburban village was built, behind which the attacking team will be able to hide, and will not be “in full view”.
On the Normandy summer map, zone B has been made more convenient for defense:
- made a special descent from the shelf;
- closed the possibility of shooting from the neighboring zone C.
And in zone C, additional relief elements were made that can be used as a shelter.
