В Genshin Impact Choosing the best weapon isn't easy due to the variety of options, characters, and their synergies. While the basic stats of the equipment may suit a hero, the passive talent's requirements may be unmet by their abilities, and sometimes the chosen companion build also plays a role.
In the open world, almost all characters can easily deal with most enemies, but difficult and updated content like the final halls twisted abyss, high complexity Dark onslaught и Imaginarium Theater Require at least a minimal investment in companion armament. Our top list consists of six categories for each weapon type: from the most powerful and convenient options to specific and unsuccessful ones that are not worth wasting resources on.
Gear placement depends on meta relevance, the number of suitable carriers, ease of use, and investment.
One-Handed Swords
Blades are one of the most diverse companion weapons. They offer options based on attack, HP, and defense, so the selection is much wider than with other classes.
S+ rank
Critical weapons are rarely used by supports, and there's not much buffing gear for support heroes. Almost all S+ damage-dealing blades perform roughly equally well due to their K/U and K/S primary stats, while rare support variants provide valuable bonuses for the team.

Convenient and suitable for both primary and secondary damage dealers. Its low base HP is offset by the highest K/S in the game among similar weapons. Due to the versatility of the passive ability, this sword A good option for many companions, though it won't be the best choice for anyone. With a free Pool on your account, you'll never have to worry about what to give a new character to start with. | ![]() | ![]() |
Mistsplitter Reforged⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 48 - 674 CRIT DMG: 9.6% - 44.1% Provides a significant elemental bonus when the passive conditions are met. Haran Geppaku Futsu
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 46 - 608 CRIT Rate: 7.2% - 33.1% The blade isn't ideal for sub-DD due to its passive and the affix on normal attacks, but it's a great choice for hyper-carries. All heroes in the game use E-class abilities, so getting the bonus and maintaining it shouldn't be difficult. | ![]() | ![]() |
Splendor of Tranquil Waters⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 44 - 542 CRIT DMG: 19.2% - 88.2% The one-handed sword opens fully only in the hands Hydro Archon Furina. Due to the large bonus to K/U, he is suitable for other heroes in a damage-dealing build, but only as a temporary stopgap. The passive bonus only works reliably in a team with Focalors herself and a healer due to the HP drain. The gear's specificity lies in the damage buff of the elemental skill. For damage-dealing heroes of this class, losing E-level damage often means switching to a stronger form or a one-time hit. | ![]() ![]()
Freedom-Sworn⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 46 - 608 Elemental Mastery: 43 - 198 This gear works well on pocket supports or drivers. Due to the increase in defense, the blade is placed only on Geo elemental heroes, and due to the bonus to the elemental will not provide any benefit to groups from Moon Crystal, Charge, or Budding. | ![]()
Favonius Sword⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 41 - 454 Energy recharge: 13.3% - 61.3% An ideal option for companions with an expensive ultimate in the sub-DD or support role. Reliable Orb drops require a good K/S stat, which sometimes has to be traded for the crown at the expense of important stats. Hit the closest mob before a critical hit, and then Catch energy particles for the desired hero. | ![]() | ![]() |
Xiphos’ Moonlight⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 42 - 510 Elemental Mastery: 36 - 165 Advantages of the blade The passive VE% buff is applied to the active character and allies, and this buff is calculated based on the owner's MS stat. Two-handed swords
Clemore wearers are primarily main damage dealers. There are few legendary pocket heroes and supports among them, but most top-tier gear is extremely versatile and can easily "change" owners without losing its usefulness.

A Thousand Blazing Suns⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 49 - 741 CRIT Rate: 2.4% - 11.0% The small K/Sh is offset by a very high base and a nice boost to K/U and ATK. It performs best in the hands of a Natlanian or a hero with Elemental Infusion. They can extend the effect with normal attacks and keep all bonuses active for as long as they're on the field. It's a good match for companions with a well-defined rotation and a window of at least 10 seconds for ability regeneration. | ![]() | ![]() |
Beacon of the Reed Sea⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 46 - 608 CRIT Rate: 7.2% - 33.1% The sword simultaneously provides a bonus to attack power and increases the wearer's HP. The only important requirement is that there is no shielder in the team. For most heavy sword damage dealers, the extra health and ATK boost are much more important than interrupt resistance, but in the case of Pyro, this eliminates the possibility of playing with a main DPS. Citlali - a strong support for Melting. | ![]() | ![]() |
Redhorn Stonethresher⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 44 - 565 CRIT DMG: 19.2% - 88.2% Equipment that increases defense and buffs the damage of normal and charged attacks. General Goro. | ![]() | ![]() |
Gest of the Mighty Wolf⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 46 - 608 CRIT Rate: 7.2% - 33.1% A strong and versatile two-handed sword with a clear damage bonus that addresses a problematic aspect of this hero type's gameplay—movement speed. The activation conditions are quite simple: use a skill or a charged strike. Characters whose rotation includes frequent skill or charged strike usage feel most comfortable with it. Closing the Sabbat Resonance will add a percentage to the bearer's K/U. However, non-Witchcraft bearers will have to select two allies from a relatively small list. | ![]() | ![]() |
Wolf's Gravestone⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 46-608 ATK: 10.8% - 49.6% A sword with immense attack, ideal for the vast majority of main damage dealers due to its ease of use. Due to its dominance of one stat, it requires a thorough approach to crit balancing. Its simplicity makes it a temporary stopgap until the event legendary is unlocked. If the second condition is met, it distributes ATK to allies, so it is beneficial to play with a sub-DD from this stat. | ![]() | ![]() |
Serpent Spine⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 42 - 510 CRIT Rate: 6.0% - 27.6% A weapon from the battle pass. In most cases on P5 The best epic option for a hyper-carry. For the passive to fully activate, the claymore wielder must be on the field for about 20 seconds without taking damage. The net damage bonus to the equipped companion ranges from 30 to 50% depending on the awakening. The key drawback: as damage increases, so does the percentage of health lost. If a well-equipped damage dealer is the first in a party in the Spiral Abyss or a dungeon, you can wait until your stacks are fully charged before engaging in combat. This is especially helpful when the necessary skills are already ready to use. | ![]() | ![]() |
Sacrificial Greatsword⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 44 - 565 Energy recharge: 6.7% - 30.6% The Ceremonial line features a general passive that resets a skill when hitting an enemy. Staff of Homa⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 46 - 608 CRIT DMG: 14.4% - 66.2% A polearm with a HP bonus is suitable not only for heroes based on health but also for others, as this stat translates into ATK. Furthermore, with this spear, artifacts with additional HP percentages benefit the wielder. Primordial Jade Winged-Spear⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 48 - 674 CRIT Rate: 4.8% - 22.1% A standard prayer spear with a cumulative attack and overall damage bonus. It's not suitable for pocket DPS without the snapshot mechanic, but it's a good choice for some supports due to its substat or high base damage. Wavebreaker's Fin⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 45 - 620 ATK: 3% - 13.8% Works best in groups with expensive ultimates. The bonus doesn't affect Lunar damage, so it's not worth giving it to Fleance. | ![]() | ![]() |
Catalysts
Catalysts have the widest selection of support gear of any category. Epic options for damage dealers in the S+ and S tiers generally don't even have specific bonus activation requirements, making them easily compatible with any Catalyst.
S+ rank
These catalysts have a less clear distinction than usual between equipment that supports allies or deals damage. The same character may wear different variants depending on the requirements of their role in the team.

Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 46 - 608 CRIT Rate: 7.1% - 33.1% A book from a standard prayer, easily used as a main damage dealer. For the passive to fully activate, you need to be on the field for at least 16 seconds, but for most characters, the skill duration doesn't exceed 15 seconds. In a normal battle, the wearer will have up to 3 stacks, giving them 24-48% elemental damage depending on the awakenings. | ![]() | ![]() |
Tulaytullah's Remembrance⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 48 - 674 CRIT DMG: 9.6% - 44.1% A catalyst with a large bonus to punches and their speed. It forces players to play without using the skill for 14 seconds after the first E-shot, which can be problematic for some hero rotations. The secondary stat's K/U doesn't always cover all the needs of a main damage dealer, so it will have to be supplemented by artifact substats. | ![]() | ![]() |
Kagura's Verity⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 46 - 608 CRIT DMG: 14.4% - 66.2% Ideal gear for primary or pocket damage dealers with a short cooldown or two or three E charges. A Thousand Floating Dreams⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 44 - 542 Elemental Mastery: 58 - 265 A catalyst for reaction-based play with bonuses based on team elements. Suitable for heroes who use MS as a key stat or who need bonuses to their own element. To evenly distribute the bonuses, it's best to play with at least one ally of the same element as the carrier. Prototype Amber⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 42 - 510 HP %: 9.0% - 41.3% Gear that can transform any Catalyst into a healer. This is especially important for heroes with a very expensive ultimate that needs to be kept active at all times. | ![]() | ![]() |
The Widsith⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 42 - 510 CRIT DMG: 12.0% - 55.1% On attachments An excellent epic solution for damage dealers and reaction drivers. The situation is marred by the randomness of the bonuses, which are primarily suitable for ATK-based characters. If the owner benefits from at least two of the three effects, the gear will become a top-tier option among the four. | ![]() | ![]() |
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers⭐️⭐️⭐️ Base stat: 39 - 401 HP %: 7.7% - 35.2% The easiest to obtain support magic book. It's only suitable for teams with attack damage-based main damage dealers. Luke
Ranged weapons have the most critical hit gear for primary damage dealers, but support heroes have almost no options. The most popular primary stat is ATK, so archers with HP and defense scaling have a hard time finding gear.
S+ rank
When choosing ranged weapons, it's important to understand the predominant hero type on your account. If you have enough damage-dealing archers, you can obtain one or two S+ tier options from the Prayer and assign them based on the current content requirements. Legendary support gear is rare and will always find its wearer, so skipping it is not recommended.

All the ways to get weapons in Genshin Impact
The game offers a variety of methods for farming and obtaining gear, which determines its rarity. For example, 3-grade gear can be obtained from both chests and banners, while 5-grade gear is only available through prayers. Some items are obtained exclusively through crafting and cannot be purchased ready-made, while others require side activities like fishing.
Prayers
Banners are the primary source of loot. There are four types of prayers in the game:
- Standard – always available in the game. You can obtain legendary and epic weapons from the list provided.
- Event - contains all 4⭐ options from the permanent banner.
- The Armory is the key prayer for gear. It always contains two Legendaries, the signature gear for characters in the update. Both standard 5-degree pieces and rare 4-degree pieces, otherwise unobtainable, are available.
- Chronicled Wishes — the rarest banner, whose contents are determined by the game region. In addition to the 5⭐ heroes of a specific country, it contains their signatures, as well as legendary and epic weapons related to the region according to lore. According to this principle, legendaries without a designated carrier sometimes appear here, for example, Claymore Unforged or one-handed sword Precious Pool.
Open world
Some equipment and the materials needed to awaken it cannot be obtained through prayers for spins, but can only be obtained by completing locations, quests, and exploring Teyvat. The rarity of such equipment is always 3-4⭐; 5⭐ cannot be obtained this way. All methods:
- Chests are loot boxes scattered throughout Teyvat. They typically drop 2⭐ loot, which isn't used in the late game, but sometimes they also drop rare limited-edition loot, such as the Fillet Knife sword or the Twin Jade and Eldritch Tale catalysts.
- Lake and sea fishing — You can exchange your catch for various items at the Fishermen's Association branches located in every country. NPCs offer the powerful spear "Ulov," the one-handed sword "Ferryman" "Flew Sandr," and the bow "Wither," as well as ascension materials.
- Crafting: All released regions have their own line of weapons with specific passive abilities tied to the region's features or tailored to local heroes. Blueprints can be obtained through trades with the blacksmith, quests, and other in-game activities. Crafting requires collecting ore and obtaining forging molds from weekly bosses.
- Exploring Locations – Completing quests, exploring territories, and speaking with Teyvat's inhabitants sometimes yields equipment rewards. After the conversation, a Liyue resident will give the Traveler a Dark Iron Sword, a one-of-a-kind item. Interacting with points of interest sometimes yields low-rarity weapons.
Buy
To acquire some weapons donation required, spending the currency of temporary events or Mora:
- Main events — Sometimes the developers reward epic weapons for completing the main event objectives. These often become a good F2P alternative, although for some heroes they also release signature gear. For example, Alchemist Albedo and his sword, the Cinnabar Spindle. The downside is that this equipment is no longer obtainable after the event ends.
- Paimon's Bargains — Montenegrin and Royal line of equipment is available in the in-game store for 24 units. Starry shineThe assortment changes on the first of each month.
- Battle Pass — When purchasing an improved BP, the player receives a gear selector at level 30. It allows players to claim one of ten available rewards. These are epic gear with critical hits in substats, tailored for different hero categories.
- Purchase from blacksmiths - in the capital of each kingdom and in The Serenitea Pot You can not only craft new weapons for your squad, but also purchase them. These are typically 2⭐ options for the initial phase, which are then used as consumables for leveling up.
Weapon Tier List Evaluation Criteria
The tier list is based on the latest game updates and current mechanics, and will be updated as content is released and new weapons are added. For a better understanding, we'll explain the principles behind evaluating each position.
Damager buff quality
The most important gear for main and sub-DD is a useful primary stat (K/S or K/U), an affix, and the number of possible owners. Weapons that significantly enhance damage dealers hold the highest ranking: increasing stats or damage from melee attacks, elemental skills, or ultimates.
Weak spots are filled with options that offer unclaimed bonuses, such as a specific passive for hitting weak spots or opening chests.
Benefits of support gear
A support weapon is rated at the top tier if its buffs are impossible or difficult to obtain otherwise. The key is the ease of implementation of the passive talent. For example, almost any character can use the Dragonslayer Epic catalyst to boost an ally's attack.
At the same time, the Wave-Cutting Fin spear and Mouun's Moon bow are only useful in a team with expensive super abilities. The same is true for Ineffa's signature move, Shattered Halo. There aren't enough shield-pikemen who rely on Lunar Charge to cover all the team buffs.
The demand
The value of equipment is determined by the number of possible wearers or the specific benefits it offers to specific heroes. For example, Precious Pool ranks high due to its utility for both attack- and HP-scaled heroes. And the Favonia line is suitable for almost all supports and sub-DDs, as many squads require energy replenishment.
Moreover, if gear provides sufficiently powerful bonuses, it can reach high ranks even with a small number of owners. It's difficult to give Signa Shilonen to anyone but her, but with her, the team becomes noticeably stronger.
This tier list will help you choose the best weapons for your heroes. The gear ranking clearly shows which options are worth spending Primogems on and donate , and which ones are best avoided. Follow banner schedule, so as not to miss the equipment that interests you.

Hello, isn't there a description for every weapon? I'm a beginner and would like to know which one is best for whom. I can't find the Cold Edge or the Dawn Harbinger.
Hello. Dawn Harbinger is at the bottom of the table at S rank. A description for Cold Blade wasn't added because it's below Tier A. It's usually quickly replaced by 4⭐️ and above. Xingqiu or a Cryo/Hydro Swordsman in Freeze might be suitable for now.
Don't you think The Widsith would work on Nevi too? It has a high usage rate, and I use it myself, so it's perfectly fine if you adjust the artifacts. I didn't find any other "bugs" other than those already noted.
Hello! The thing is, of all the notes, only the elemental note is suitable for Nevillette. Damage: MS and the ATK boost are useless for him. Therefore, Nevillette is not listed among the suitable heroes.
Obvious flaws in the guide:
Wolf Fang: Furina should be Bennett's replacement.
Steel Sting: Kaeya and Lyla don't need it because they don't need EM.
Serpent Spine: We could add a bunch more heroes, like Eola, Diluc, etc.
Dragon Slayer Epic: Charlotte would definitely be a good fit.
Celestial Atlas: Replace Sitlali with Yae.
Hamayumi Bow: "the best F2P weapon for Eimiya" – remove the phrase and Eimiya herself. This bow doesn't work with her signature set and prevents her from using her ultimate.
The illustration isn't in the rating. It's not even mentioned. Make sure there's a quick navigation sign on the left side of the site.
The navigation through the content is now in the upper right corner of the screen (removed from the left so that the button for reading articles on a phone does not interfere).
I'm not really talking about that kind of transition. Previously, there were sections on the left: leveling, artifacts, talents. You clicked on them and they took you to the section you needed. It was very convenient. But now you just scroll at the top of the page and that's it.
The table of contents with sections is still displayed on the left if you click on the corresponding button, and navigation between article sections works there.
Thank you!!! Very convenient thing.
He wrote about this, and I just found out about it too. There's a table of contents button in the top right corner next to the topic and search buttons. That's it. But I think it was more convenient before.
Perhaps it's still a matter of habit.
There were simply complaints that the content button was blocking some of the text on a phone, so we decided to move it to the upper right corner.
Maybe we should somehow highlight this button? Maybe at least with a color, like the chat button?
Thanks for the feedback! We'll think about how to improve this. We might create a different interface for desktop and phone so we can bring back the content button on desktop.
Thanks for adding Illugi. One more question: can you make it so you can switch to it using a character's profile picture?
By the way, I didn't see the Sumeru aka Wither fishing bow, but that's understandable. Favonius or Ceremon are definitely better. You could put them on any Colley or Sar (although who plays them in 2026 now), but I crafted it for the sake of the collection and put it on Diona. Now I have a cat with a fish 😀
The Wither Bow is located in the C-tier.
Sarah is currently playing in the stroller when Fischl and Raiden are busy, and Kirill is simply not around. And they're often busy, as the hellish energy demands of the Onslaught almost always require them to be placed together in the same overload pack.
