Weapons with high damage rates in Gothic 1 remake Awarded for completing quests and exploring secret grottoes and faction bases. The Nameless Hero also doesn't receive a starting arsenal, so he'll have to find a blade, an axe, and even a basic pickaxe on his own from the very first minutes of the game.
Over time, you'll need increasingly powerful weapons to advance into the dangerous zones of the Valley of Mines. To obtain them, you'll have to pick complex locks, gain the trust of faction leaders, and risk your life in duels.
Where to find the best weapons early in Gothic 1 Remake
Since the game doesn't lead you by the hand, leaving only hints and minimal clues, finding equipment will require careful exploration of various corners of Minenthal. In the early stages, venturing beyond the camp walls is extremely dangerous, but every risk is rewarded, and such forays will soon make the hero stronger.
Old sword
Old sword — a blade that can be obtained in the first minutes of the Gothic Remake. The easiest way to grab it is when crossing the ravine immediately after falling under the dome: the sword is stuck in the ground under a tree with a hanged man. There's also a clearing with a scavenger nearby, and a path to the Old Camp lies ahead. The weapon deals 12 cleavage damage.
Jagged Axe
Nek's Tool, located next to his body in the cave opposite the southern gate of the Old Camp. You'll go there for the quest. The Missing GuardIn combat, the equipment deals 13 points of cleaving damage, but is inferior to the sword in swing speed.
Club with nails
You'll get it if you refuse to pay Bloodwin and then accept Grim's quest "Amulet." The man will lead you into an ambush and attempt to kill you. Defeat him and two miners, and then take a club with 11 bludgeoning damage as a trophy.
Whistler's Sword
Can be obtained from a man in the quest of the same name. Whistler will give you 100 ore and send you to Fisk to buy a special blade. After purchasing, you can keep the blade if you wish, but Whistler won't put in a good word for you with Diego.
Morgenstern
Morgenstern — It's on a stand in the wooden building under which Fisk is stationed in the Old Camp. The door is locked, but you can cross the thatched roof to the balcony and get inside. Climb down the ladder to the floor below and you'll find a great club that deals 23 damage next to it.
Horseman's bow
It's in a cave opposite the northern gate to the Old Camp. Look along the riverbank to the right of the bridge and you'll notice a small opening in the rock. Inside is a chest containing an excellent bow that requires 14 Dexterity. Each shot deals 24 piercing damage.
Shnyg's bite
A one-handed sword hidden in a secret cave at the entrance to the New Camp. Head there with Mordrag or on your own, then turn right after the gate and swim across the pond. Inside the grotto, you'll find a chest containing a blade that deals 21 cleave damage. It requires 15 Strength to use.
