It should be understood that in Outriders it is possible to create hybrid builds, using adjacent perks from each skill tree (there are 3 skill trees in total). This is especially effective during a single passage, in order not only to deal high damage, but also to cope with receiving it. In a group, you can do without this by balanced distribution of roles.
Top build for maximum damage
For players who can't stand constantly looking for ammo for their weapons, this build is great. The build allows you to constantly replenish ammunition, so there are always enough of them to repulse advancing opponents.
Key piece of equipment for DPS build — legendary Chronosuit. To unlock the powerful effect that it gives, you need to collect 3 parts of the suit. After the character wears a full set, ammo will be replenished after each return in time.
In addition to the Chronosuit, equipment mods affect getting near-infinite ammo. One of these modifications is “Ammo Dealer III”, which restores 20% ammo each time Trickster deals lethal damage while active “Twisted ammo". Ion armor also useful as it increases survivability, because it adds 100% to armor for ten seconds during the active skill “Borrowed time".
A build with infinite ammo and high damage requires pumping three abilities: “Twisted ammo","Borrowed time"And"slow trap". Some may think that the latter ability is not very suitable for such a build, but it can be effectively used along with the modification “Delivery on time”, which replenishes bullets for equipped weapons for each member of the squad. On top of the 15% Armor Piercing, 16% Weapon Damage, and 27% Shotgun Damage that are always active, we get another 60% Weapon Damage at close range, an additional 40% Weapon Damage from behind, and an additional 15% Weapon Damage against Elites.

This build can functionally be described as the middle ground, as it is more damage oriented than Harbinger and has slightly better survivability than Assassin.

An effective tactic for stealth attacks
The Trickster is at its best deep behind enemy lines, delivering deadly strikes from behind..
A great way to use this tactic is to activate the Borrowed Time ability while the character is next to his squad or behind cover to get a bonus to the shield. Then you need to use the “Hunter and Prey” skill, teleporting behind the backs of opponents and getting even more shield. After that, you need to activate the “Slow Trap” ability, neutralizing all hostile targets around.
It is highly recommended to attack enemies from the back, dealing additional damage thanks to perks from the Assassin's skill tree. When the amount of health or shield reaches a critical level, you need to use the “Borrowed Time” skill again and get out of the field of view of enemies.
In this build, you can change “Borrowed Time” to “Twister”. In this case, after teleporting behind enemy lines and slowing down time, you need to call a whirlwind of anomalous blades and bring it down on the heads of the mutants. But it is worth considering that you will have to retreat on your own. But the amount of damage dealt will be clearly greater. So the players have a choice!

The bottom line is that Ricochet, Body Snatcher, and Killstreak are the best mods for significant damage. At the same time, the “Ricochet” improvement works great when armed with a submachine gun, and “Body Snatcher” is literally created for a shotgun.
