В Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka is a Cryo Swordswoman designed to be the leading damage dealer of the group, specializing in the Frozen reaction and frequent activation of the super ability. When starting a sprint, she gains a short-term infusion, allowing her to deal ice damage with auto-attacks.
Despite the fairly simple gameplay, some features of the Inazuma princess may be inconvenient to use in combat. This includes a hard-to-aim ult and a rather long animation for exiting an alternative movenet mode. The girl also often requires heroes who can pull opponents, since the area of her elemental burst, as well as her route of movement, is limited.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The heroine, like other characters, has her pros and cons. Her benefits are:
- high base crit dmg, which makes it easier to build Ayaka and balance stats;
- A powerful elemental skill that is well boosted by the Cryo damage bonus;
- AoE attacks cover a huge area;
- can move on water due to an alternative sprint;
- easy to build a team with, works well with F2P heroes.
Disadvantages of the character are:
- high elemental elemental burst cost, requiring high energy recharge and a battery in the team;
- special dynamic gameplay that makes control difficult;
- the inconvenience of playing without pulling and Frozen, since the ultimate has a strict binding to the direction in which it was activated.
Best Ayaka Builds in Genshin Impact
To create the best build for Ayaka, we recommend choosing the following stats:
| Artifact | Main characteristic | Additional stats |
|---|---|---|
![]() | HP (fixed) | CRIT DMG Crit Rate ATK % Energy Recharge % |
![]() | Attack Power (fixed) | CRIT DMG Crit Rate ATK % Energy Recharge % |
![]() | ATK % | CRIT DMG Crit Rate Energy recharge% ATK |
![]() | Cryo Damage Bonus % | CRIT DMG Crit Rate ATK % Energy Recharge % |
![]() | Crit. damage/crit chance hits (while playing off Frozen, crit is preferable, in other cases, crit. chance is better, but it should not be lower than 15 in either case) | CRIT Rate and DMG ATK % Energy Recharge % |
For other stats, you can search for EM, but it is worth considering that the ult has a cooldown on status application. For this reason, it often does not create reactions, which devalues this characteristic.
Optimal stats:
- ATK: 1800 and more.
- Energy recharge: 120-140% if there is cryo resonance, 150-160% if not.
- Crit Rate and Dmg should be in a ratio of 1:2. The Swordswoman often plays with Cryo Resonance, Rosaria and the Blizzard Strayerset, therefore it is necessary to take into account not only the Rate, which is directly displayed in the characteristics, but also external reinforcements.
Top weapons
The most suitable weapon should have crit, ATK and energy recovery stats. Among the legendaries, we will highlight the following options:
| Name | Rarity | Base stats | Passive Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 48 ~ 674 Critical Damage 9,6% ~ 44,1% | Mistsplitter's Edge Elemental damage bonus +12-24%. Also, the weapon is imbued with the power of the Mistsplitter Emblem - 1st, 2nd or 3rd level, which gives an additional 8%, 16% or 24% additional elemental damage, respectively. Charges of the Mistsplitter Emblem are obtained by one of the following actions:
Signature weapon: lots of crits, a suitable passive that is easy to implement, a good basic attack. With it, the heroine will start to inflict the highest DPS, and of all the builds, this sword is best suited for a Frozen build. However, the signature, despite all its positive qualities, is not mandatory to pull for - with good leveling, the girl can cope without it. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 46 ~ 608 Critical Damage Chance 7,2% ~ 33,1% | Honed Flow Gives 12-40% damage bonus with all elements. When nearby party members use elemental skills, the character equipped with this weapon gains 1 level of Wavespike no more than once every 0.3 sec. Maximum of 2 levels. After the character with this weapon uses an elemental skill, all levels are spent, and they gain the Rippling Upheaval effect, which increases the damage of a normal attack by 20-40% for each level for 8 sec. The passive isn't as good as the Mistsplitter's, but it's still a decent base and increases the damage of all elemental attacks. |
| ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 44 ~ 542 Critical Damage Chance 9,6% ~ 44,1% | Protector's Virtue The character's HP increases by 20-40%. The ATK Bonus is equal to 1,2-2,4% of the character's maximum health. A good alternative to the previous swords. Although the crit chance is less of a priority when playing with Cryo Resonance, the weapon is still good for a main DD build in a 2+2 mix or with a total Crit Rate of less than 60%. | |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 46 ~ 608 ATK 10,8% ~ 49,6% | Golden Majesty Increases shield durability by 20-40%. When hitting an enemy, increases ATK by 4-8% for 8 seconds. The effect stacks up to 5 times and occurs once every 0,3 seconds. In addition, if you have a shield, the bonus is increased by 100%. Despite the seemingly useless buff to shield strength, the weapon is well suited due to its large base and main stat in the form of attack power. Especially if the swordswoman is in the Blizzard Strayer set, this looks more relevant than crit. chance. You can also take a shielder to the team, for example, Diona, as a battery and activator of the passive. |
![]() | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Base stat: 46 - 608 CRIT Rate: 7,2% - 33,1% | Critical damage of elemental burst is increased by 16/20/24/28/32%When an elemental blast hits an enemy, the wearer gains the "Blade of White Day" effect, which increases attack by 20/25/30/35/40%Additionally, nearby allies gain an attack power boost of 16/20/24/28/32%. The effect lasts for 3 sec. If the squad has the "Witchcraft: Arcane Rite" buff, the "Blade of White Day" buff is increased by an additional 75%. Works even when the wearer is not on the battlefield. A great solution in teams with Mona and Venti/Sukharose, where you can activate the effect of Secret Rite. |
Alternatively, you can use:
| Name | Rarity | Base stats | Passive Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base damage: 41 ~ 454 ATK: 12 ~ 55,1% | Iwakura Succession Using an elemental skill yields a Succession Seed (1 every 5 seconds) that lasts 30 seconds. Up to 3 such seeds can exist at the same time. When using an elemental burst, the accumulated seeds are consumed, and after 2 seconds the character receives 6-12 energy for each charge. A great solution if you have less than 140 energy recovery and not enough ATK. In addition, the sword is crafted, which makes it easier to obtain. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Normal attack: 44-565 ATK: 6-27,6% | An End Sublime Activating an elemental skill increases ATK by 12-24% for 15 sec and grants a Bond of Life equal to 25% of Max HP. The effect can occur once every 10 sec. When the Bond of Life disappears, it increases attack power by 2,4-4,8% of its own value (max 150-300) for 15 sec. Bond of Life: Absorbs the character's received healing equal to its own value, then disappears. The opposite to the sword above. Equipped when enough energy recovery is gained, but ATK is desperately needed. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base damage: 44 ~ 565 Critical Damage: 8% ~ 36,8% | Press the Advantage Killing an enemy will increase ATK by 12-24% for 30 seconds. The effect stacks up to 3 times. The duration of stacks is independent of each other. In battles with bosses or a single enemy, it is essentially a crit stick, but for a statue build it has everything you need and can be a good replacement, especially when there is a lack of Crit Damage. |
![]() Calamity of Eshu | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 44-565 ATK: 6-27,6% | Increases normal and charged attack damage by 20-40%, as well as their critical hit chance on 8-16%, if the character is protected by a shield. The sword is best suited for Frozen squads, since it is in such teams that the girl experiences the greatest lack of ATK. The swordswoman's Critical Chance is usually enough anyway, so in some situations you can refuse the shield and the second part of the passive. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Base damage: 42 ~ 510 Critical Damage Chance: 6% ~ 27,6% | Justice Damage of normal and charged attacks +20-40%. Restores HP on critical hits - 60-100% of ATK. The effect occurs once every 5 seconds. Good passive and base damage. But in a Frozen team and with a full set of Blizzard Strayer loses to crit dmg weapons due to the likelihood of an excess of crit chance. In this case, it is recommended to use this sword only if your crit rate is around 10-25%. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 41 ~ 454 Energy recharge 13,3% ~ 61,3% | Composed Hitting an enemy with an E has a 40-80% chance to instantly reset the cooldown of this skill. The effect works every 30-16 seconds. A good option for a support or burst build, as it solves the problem with an expensive ult and allows you to use the elemental skill twice in a row if the chance works. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 41 ~ 454 Energy recharge 13,3%-61,3% | Wind Companion Every 12 seconds, critical hits have a 60-100% chance to create elemental particles that restore 6 energy. A purely support option that does not strengthen the heroine herself in any way, but provides additional particles to restore the team's energy. |
![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Basic attack 39 ~ 401 CRIT DMG 10,2% ~ 46,9% | Vigorous Increases crit chance by 14%~28% when HP is above 90%. It is recommended to pay attention to this sword if there are no other alternatives or the ability to craft, say, Amenoma Kageuchi. In addition, in a team with this weapon, you definitely need Bennett because of the small base and a shielder for the passive to work. |
When choosing pieces, pay attention to the missing characteristics: for example, in Frozen teams, using the Blizzard Strayer, it is worth choosing a weapon with ATK or crit dmg, and not crit rate. And if the girl plays the role of an ult user, high crit rate is a must.
Choosing Artifacts
Artifact choice for Ayaka largely depends on the squad and the situation in battle, since some stats that are very important for a certain team are devalued in another.
| number | Name | The set is | Rarity | Passive Effects |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Blizzard Strayer | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | The best set for the statue team playing via Frozen: gives an additional 15% cryo damage, increases crit. chance against frozen enemies by 20%, and another 20% against enemies with the Cryo status. |
| 2 | Emblem of Severed Fate | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | The princess has an expensive ult costing 80 energy. Although this problem can be solved with a weapon or a battery in the team, this set can be used as an alternative solution. In addition, it can increase the DPS of elemental burst to 75% of the ER value, which significantly strengthens the swordswoman. |
| 3 | Marechaussee Hunter / Blizzard Strayer | ![]() ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | A good set that increases normal and charged attack damage. Combined with the Blizzard, it increases outgoing DPS better than alternative 2+2 mixes. |
| 4 | Gladiator’s Finale / Blizzard Strayer | ![]() ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | A good universal mix if you can't any necessary set in full. Parts from Gladiator can be replaced with Shimenawa, Emblem, Noblesse, nased on what exactly you want from the girl as a squad member. |
| 5 | Martial Artist | ![]() | ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Increases normal and charged attacks by 15%. These skills also gain +25% power for 8 seconds when using an elemental skill. A good option at the start of the game. |
In some cases, it makes sense to take 2 pieces of elemental mastery sets (Gilded Dreams, Wanderer's Troupe, Flower of Paradise Lost), but the swordswoman does not trigger reactions so often that it would be necessary to invest heavily in this characteristic.
Teams
Given the heroine's characteristics and abilities, the entire group should play for her. Accordingly, when selecting a team for Ayaka, the emphasis should be on supporting roles.
Recommended characters
Most often, the swordswoman plays with Cryo, Hydro and Anemo characters that will provide control of enemies and their Frozen, and also buff the girl herself. In addition, a healer or shielder is needed, since she cannot protect herself or restore health in any way. As an ult-procaster, she can be used with any Pyro, Hydro or Cryo damage dealer.
| Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Best friend and buffer for Cryo characters: enhances this element with both her E and the ultimate ability. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Pocket damage dealer and a battery that will increase Cryo damage. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Free battery and sub-dps. |
![]() | ![]() | Grants Cryo Resonance, 15% of your own crit chance due to the passive, as well as constant AoE DPS with maintaining the frost status on enemies. | |
![]() | ![]() | Shield and healer, excellent battery. | |
![]() | ![]() | Cryo Applicator, Battery and Pocket DD. The Ultimate instantly restores HP depending on ATK. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | While Citlali does not cut Cryo resistance, she is a good fit in a Pyro damage team to cut off enemies' Fire resistance and help with energy generation. |
![]() | ![]() | Restores health, provides pulling and cuts resists. With good leveling, will bring her own damage. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Pulls opponents, cuts resistances and helps with ults thanks to the passive talent. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | FTP variant of the Anemo hero. Will fully play only in Melt teams. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Anemo support that protects with a strong, renewable shield. Can equip the Viridescent Venerer artifact set, as well as the Favonius Codex or the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers to buff allies or boost energy. |
![]() | ![]() | Mona is a controlling character that will increase the dynamics of the battle. Enemies locked in the elemental burst will receive increased damage. | |
![]() | ![]() | Source of mass status and damage. Depending on the build, can act as a healer or sub-DD. Buffs damage with her elemental burst. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Provides permanent healing and freezing. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | An affordable analogue of Kokomi, but with a worse Hydro status imposition. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A good shielder that will provide protection and indirectly increase damage to enemies. However, in Frozen teams, it is worthwhile to carefully activate his E, as Zhongli's pillars break the statues. |
![]() | ![]() | Provides the necessary boost to elemental skills due to the absorption of the vortex ult. | |
![]() | ![]() | Attack buffer and healer. | |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | A pocket damage dealer that provides the Melt reaction and additional damage. |
Optimal Teams
Possible squads are most often divided into two types: Frozen and Melt squads. Since the heroine is a main DD, this imposes certain restrictions on the selection of allies. However, if desired, she can be made part of an existing squad, playing the role of an ult user.
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Venti pulls enemies together, Mona/Furina inflicts Hydro status to freeze and buffs damage against enemies with Omen or Fanfare effect. Diona triggers Cryo resonance, heals and gives a shield. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | ![]() | A squad with Pyro and Cryo resonances. Citlali is more needed for Pyro damage dealers, but it will be easier for the swordswoman to activate her ultimate with her. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() ![]() | The squad through the strengthening of the Cryo element. Shenhe buffs the girls, reduces enemy elemental resistance. Jean Swirls and heals the entire team, in this case the Viridescent Venerer set looks great on her, which will additionally reduce the resistance of enemies to the element. Jean can be replaced with Lan Yan, due to which the squad will lose healing, but will receive a shield and a tie. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Kazuha will give the entire squad a powerful elemental boost. Cryo Resonance will increase the chance of a critical hit. At the same time, a permanent freeze will be guaranteed. Diona will simultaneously perform the functions of a shield and a healer. Xingqiu will provide Frozen, but the swordswoman will have to constantly use auto attacks. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Cryo Resonance and Frozen, as well as increased control from Mona's ult. Cryo support triggers resonance, imposes additional status and heals. Zhongli reduces the resistance of enemies with a shield and gives good AoE damage. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Excellent statue team with permanent freezing. Kokomi, in turn, heals the entire team, and Kazuha boosts EM and pulls all enemies together. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Chongyun constantly maintains the Cryo effect on the field due to the fast skill rollback, provides additional infusion. Shenhe buffs all Cryo damage and cuts off enemy resistance. Zhongli provides a shield and also reduces enemy resistance to all elements. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Powerful elemental reactions, strengthening Pyro's attacks with resonance and excellent healing of the entire squad with Jean. |
![]() ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Melt pack with cryo resonance and additional crit chance from Rosaria. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Ayato's ultimate allows his sister to freeze all enemies in a large area with a XNUMX% probability. Since the enemies are frozen all the time, there is no great need for healing. Kazuha additionally pulls and Swirls, can be replaced with Sucrose or Jean. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Cryo and Hydro resonance with constant freezing. The girl can act as a sub-DD while Tartaglia's blades are being restored. |
Free group option:
| Character 1 | Character 2 | Character 3 | Character 4 | Features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Powerful attacks from the swordswoman herself, Xiangling's ult and Melt reaction. The squad is protected by Noelle's Geo-shield. Barbara is responsible for healing. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() | Cryo-resonance and Melt with the participation of Xiangling. Barbara heals the active character. There may be problems with freezing from missed Cryo attacks. |
Stat Bonus for Ascension
Ayaka's additional stat when leveling up is CRIT DMG. In addition to this, her health, ATK and defense values also increase.
| Level | Base HP | Basic attack | Base DEF | CRIT DMG |

| 1 | 1001 | 26 | 61 | 0 |
| 20 | 3455 | 91 | 210 | 0 |

Leveling
Let's take a closer look at what materials are needed to upgrade the swordswoman and her talents. You can speed up farming process with our Genshin Impact interactive map.
Ascension
To ascend the heroine, you need to collect the following resources:
- Slivers, fragments, chunks and gemstones of Shivada Jade. If there is a shortage of the resource, they can be recrafted from other stones using Dust of Azoth.
- Handguardsdropped by Nobushi и Kairagi in Inazuma.
- 46 Perpetual Heart.
- 168 Sakura Bloom.
- 420 000 Mora and 421 Hero's Wit.
Use the Genshin Impact Calculatorto make it easier to count missing materials.
Talents
To upgrade skills to the maximum level, you will need the following materials:
Each talent level requires books of Elegance and Crown of Wisdom (Insight) for max lvl 10. See our Handguards farming guide and also how to defeat Azhdaha (drops Bloodjade Branch).
Skills

Ayaka's skills make her a powerful main damage dealer, most of her damage comes from her elemental burst. However, this does not make her only an ult user: her elemental skill damage and charged attacks are enough to build a group around her and use Ayaka as an active character.
Basic (Active) Skills
Deals up to 5 quick sword strikes. Charged attack creates a hail of swords, which costs some stamina. With a Plunging attack, the Inazuma representative strikes in an area, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies.
Cooldown: 10 sec.
Ice accumulates around the heroine, performing a Cryo AoE strike and throwing small enemies into the air.
Infusion duration: 5 sec.
The princess moves along with ice shards, consuming stamina. In Senho form, you can move on water. When exiting the alternate sprint, inflicts the Frost status on nearby enemies, and also receives Cryo Infusion for her sword.
Cooldown: 20 sec.
Cost: 80 energy
Using a fan and sword, creates whirlwinds of ice blades, launching them in front of her. All enemies in the path are dealt Cryo damage over time. At the end of the path, each whirlwind explodes, dealing AoE damage of the same element in an area.
Passive Skills
When crafting weapon awakening materials, has a 10% chance to produce an additional item.
After using E, the heroine's damage from normal and charged attacks increases by 30% for 6 sec.
When the Cryo effect at the end of Kamisato Art: Senho (Sprint) hits an opponent, the swordswoman gains the following effects:
- Restores 10 energy.
- Receives 18% Cryo Damage Bonus for 10 sec.
Talent Leveling Order
The following order of leveling abilities for different roles is recommended:
- For a main-dd , it is advisable to level all skills side-by-side up to level 6. Then focus on elemental burst and normal attacks (later crown the elemental burst). Her elemental skill can be left at lvl 8 if resources are in short supply, but for max. damage you can also invest a crown.
- Burst or sub-dd role requires the Cryo Swordswoman to use her ultimate and E on cooldown, so there is no need for melee strikes. Side-by-side leveling of elemental burst and elemental skill is recommended, with an emphasis on the first. Auto attacks can be left at the first level.
Constellations
| number | Name | Effects |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Snowswept Sakura | Normal or charged attacks with Cryo damage have a 50% chance to reduce the cooldown of an elemental skill by 0,3 seconds. The effect occurs no more than once every 0,1 seconds. |
| 2 | Blizzard Blade Seki no To | Elemental Burst spawns 2 additional whirlwinds that deal 20% of the base damage. |
| 3 | Frostbloom Kamifubuki | Lv. Kamisato Art: Soumetsu +3 (Max 15) |
| 4 | Ebb and Flow | Enemies damaged by the Ultimate have their defense reduced by 30% for 6 sec. |
| 5 | Blossom Cloud Irutsuki | Lv. Kamisato Art: Hyouka +3 (Max 15) |
| 6 | Dance of Suigetsu | Every 10 seconds, the heroine receives a bonus to increase the damage of charged attacks by 298%. The effect disappears 0,5 seconds after the enemy is hit by a charged attack, then the countdown starts over again. |
Best Ayaka's Constellations:
- С2 Creates two additional vortexes with the ult, significantly increasing its damage.
- С4 will allow any characters to inflict more damage at the expense of reducing enemy defense.
- С6 Expensive to obtain, but allows for a greater focus on charged attacks rather than elemental bursts. However, for an ult user build, this constellation is of little value.
How to play Ayaka
The princess from Inazuma will take almost all the responsibility for destroying enemies, dealing most of the damage with her elemental burst and periodic damage with charged strikes under Cryo infusion. To do this, she needs to be provided with a battery, protection or healer, as well as additional reinforcement from supports.
Rotation
Ayaka's abilities require the following rotation:
- apply all the necessary elemental statuses to enemies (Hydro for Frozen, Pyro for further Melt reaction). If necessary, give allies ults so that the buff or imposition of the desired element does not stop (for example, Xiangling). Activate the E of a Cryo ally, if there is one in the team, to gain energy for the swordswoman.
- Switch to the heroine and catch the balls of energy. If the elemental burst is not ready, then repeat the step. To maintain Cryo on enemies, use sprint and charged strikes. Activate the ultimate with all the buffs when it is ready.
- Switch to supports, fill elemental bursts of the whole team. Then activate buffs and switch to the girl again. Repeat the cycle.
The rotation of an ult caster differs from the main DD's only in that the heroine does not use auto attacks as an ult user. In any case, the main points are the constant accumulation of energy and pressing buffs before activating elemental burst.
Is The Character Worth Pulling?
Swordswoman Ayaka is a solid 5⭐️ character in Genshin Impact, with combat stats that make her a strong Cryo damage dealer. She's easy on builds, weapons, and teammates, so even a free-to-player can easily assemble a strong squad for her and breeze through the content. The only challenge might be the unfamiliar gameplay, which requires constant sprinting, but it's a matter of getting used to, and it actually helps when exploring the world.

Does it make sense to get her 1 constu if she's the only 5-star cryo I have? Or is it not a good idea?
The main disappointment, the regret of the account. No offense to the miners.
I should have knocked him out at 21, there would have been no regrets
I knocked out Escoffier and it got much better.
Can Ayaka play in the pack: Ayaka, Kokomi, Escoffier, Sucrose?
Can I take Ayaku S e Lan?
Yes, you can. I've been playing Ayaka with E Lan for a couple of years now, and they play great together.
Is it possible to put Furina's signature on Ayaka Shilonen?
