Where to find all Mooncules on the Frost Moon in Genshin Impact

Map of the Lunar Highlands with lunoculus numbering

Through the Dunann Deep on the island of Nod-Krai move to Frosty moon — a location located on a separate map. To get there, start a story quest. Moon Gazing, and to open all zones you will need to complete the quests:

There are nine isolated zones to explore, where the hidden treasures are hidden. 74 Divine Spheres:

Travel between locations is possible using special transit channels that connect the satellite's surface into a large transport network.

Lunoculus #1

The first location you'll reach as part of the storyline is the large crater known as the Eye of Igni Belum. It's easier to begin fully exploring the location once you've reached the high-speed transit station and unlocked it. The particle is hovering above a column to the right of the transition point to Ungyen Circle.

Lunoculus #2

From the platform in the center of the area, glide east toward the top of the power station's spire. Beyond it, the next oculus hovers high above the ground.

Lunoculus #3

After collecting the previous particle, turn around and fly back toward the stone platform beneath the transit station. You'll find a purple sphere on the steps in front of it.

Lunoculus #4

Head to the center of the area under the transport hub - the ball is hanging near the elevator control panel.

Lunoculus #5

Travel to the underground teleportation point east of the transport hub and look to the right. There's a glowing orb hanging above the statue's hands against the wall.

Lunoculus #6

The next one is hidden in the western corridor of the same dungeon, where there is a conveyor belt with pearls behind the wall.

Lunoculus #7

Return to the transit station and from there, glide diagonally down to the north-northeast, toward a triangular fragment with a rounded edge. The particle is located above its upper corner.

Lunoculus #8

From the previous location, look northwest and you will see the next ball hovering over another piece of debris.

To collect it, approach the transmitter device on the right. When approached, it will automatically fire a rich chest directly through the oculus. When the mechanism is free, step into it and press "Activate" to launch yourself along the same route.

Lunoculus #9

From the southeastern teleporter, run toward the small crater to the west, where there's a transmitter in the center, with a particle hanging above it. Repeat the steps as before: stand in the device and launch yourself. If you miss your target, deploy your glider and adjust your flight direction.

Lunoculus #10

Head to the western fast travel point and use the transmitter above it. It will launch you to the spire, where you can pick up an orb and a regular chest.

Lunoculus #11

The final purple orb in this region is hidden outside the region's borders, to the northwest, between two containers. Cross the border and collect the oculus before your fatigue bar builds up.

Lunoculus #12

Travel to the station in the south of Ungyen Circle and use the transit channel leading to the Bubble Pool. Disembark when you're flying over the unnamed crater with Sanctuary of KuuviakiIf you've already been there, just teleport.

The particle is hovering in the northern part of the area, near the arena. Prismatic Slime.

Lunoculus #13

The second sphere in this zone hangs above the floating containers to the south. It can be accessed using a transmitter on the ground.

Lunoculus #14

For further exploration, head to the Bubble Pool. If you haven't yet opened the transport hub there, you'll need to return to the station in Ungyen's Circle or find three pearls in the unnamed crater and use them to power the intermediate platform.

Once you arrive at the pink location in the south, collect the oculus hovering just to the south on the transit platform level.

Lunoculus #15

After collecting the previous ball, continue gliding south, toward the formation with the whale circling above. When you reach the desired crater, collect the particle in the center of the round plant where the black kuukhenkas are sitting.

Lunoculus #16

Head to the Archaeolunar Storm Research Center. The western high-speed channel from the transport hub in Ungyen Circle leads there.

Upon arriving at the station, run forward to the entrance to the underground complex. The particle is hanging above the round gate. Charge up with power from the devices in front of the "T" entrance to perform a high jump and collect it.

Try not to linger - this area is almost unprotected from the energy of the ancient moons and staying in it will accumulate fatigue.

Lunoculus #17

To penetrate the force barrier into the complex, while under the influence of the ancient moons' energy, hold down the left mouse button, aim at the barrier, and release. When the Archeolunar Wave sphere reaches the field, press the attack button again to detonate it and create a circular passage.

Inside the complex, go through the arch on the right and descend to the floor below. You'll find a purple orb above the statue's hands opposite the stairs. You can charge yourself with the power to jump high from a crack in the floor.

Lunoculus #18

Proceed to the room to the right of the previous oculus and blast the next force barrier with an Archaeolunar Wave.

Descending the steps, you'll find yourself in a room with a small puzzle: you need to power the device in the center. Go immediately left and push one of the pearls. Push it into the recess and wait for the mechanism to activate.

Follow the dome, trying to stay under it. Enter the pearl transmitter and activate it—it will launch you to the mine level where the purple particle is hovering.

Lunoculus #19

Before you get too tired, call the elevator and wait for it to arrive. Take it up and find the entrance to the high-speed canal on the roof.

This path will lead you to the Golden Chambers. While flying along it, avoid the rocks to avoid damage. Upon arrival, you'll have to fight the boss, Corrupted Newborn Lusa. After defeating her, collect the orb near the central structure.

Lunoculus #20

Head to the Unghien Circle, to the transit station. From the platform, glide down to the small cylindrical building on the right. On its roof is a transmitter that will take you to the oculus in the center.

Lunoculus #21

The next sphere is locked inside the central tower, and to open it, you need to solve a riddle by collecting four statues of the Hidden Source of the Pioneers at the entrance:

  • Use the energy of the ancient moons from the pearls to blast an archeolunar wave inside the three small buildings of the central tower.
  • Approach the crooked door to the materials warehouse in the center and activate the last robot next to it. The four robots will work together to open the door.

Follow them inside and go down to the basement on the lift with a precious chest.

Underground, defeat two mechanical guardians and then retrieve the desired particle. It'll be easier if you draw the energy of the ancient moons from one of the source robots and jump up behind the oculus.

Lunoculus #22

From the Ungyen Circle transit area, proceed through the glowing gate. Beyond it, the main part of the location will open below, and a purple orb hangs directly in front of the stone balcony at the entrance. It's easily collected during the "Guests from the Stars" quest.

Lunoculus #23

Return to the balcony at the entrance to the area and, without jumping down, turn left. Run along the area's border to the southwest teleporter. It's located on the floating islands, and the particle is in the center of the pond below them.

Lunoculi #24-25

To reach the floating islands, collect two orbs, and activate the teleport point, head to the fast travel point in the northern part of the lake. From there, head east—you'll find a robot attempting to clear some tangled vines.

Absorb the automaton's energy and use a targeted moon dash on "E" to transform into a black kuukhenki and hit the energy node.

Rainbow bubbles will appear instead of vines. Lunar Dash into one of them and wait for the substance to lift you higher and burst. Immediately use the Kuuhenka power on "E" again to fly into the next bubble and rise even higher. This will take you to the first floating island.

You don't need to clear the tangled vines here to fly further. Aim for the multicolored droplet and fly into it again as a black fairy. When you reach the next floating platform, examine the stone arch hovering next to it on the north side.

Take the Oculus and run along this arc around the island. At the end of the route, climb the cliff where the container with the Ancient Moon Pearl is located. You'll find a Divine Piece next to it.

Once you take the oculus, an additional puzzle will trigger—a group of Anemo Slimes will appear. Destroy them all with a single Archaeolunar Wave blast to open an air flow. Collect the fragments along it to gain access to a rich chest.

Lunoculus #26

Use bubbles and the energy of the ancient moons to reach the island with the teleporter. Approach its southern edge and look west—there's a purple orb hanging near the sheer wall of the largest landmass. Charge up with Lunar Abundance and aim at the object with the "E" key. Time your flight so that obstacles don't interfere with your goal, otherwise you'll have to return to the fast travel point and try again.

Lunoculus #27

From the floating islands of the spring, jump to the waterfall slightly north and glide near it, where the rainbow bubble is floating. A purple orb hovers directly above it.

Lunoculus #28

Climb the rock opposite the waterfall and look from its top at the neighboring mountain to the east – you'll find the next particle there.

Lunoculus #29

Turn northwest, toward the mountain with two small waterfalls flowing from it. In the alcove above the larger one, you'll find an oculus.

Lunoculus #30

It's hanging above the road near the gate leading to the orbital elevator to the Cosmic Creature Capture Station. Latch onto the Ancient Moon Energy Node from the ground or a cliff and press "E" while aiming towards the sphere to quickly fly to it and collect it.

Lunoculus No. 31-32

Travel to the teleport point in the hollow northwest of the circle and follow the path to the cave to the south. When you see the energy node above the bridge, pull yourself toward it and perform a moon dash toward the divine orb on the ceiling.

Jump down in the north-east direction and take the oculus near the stairs.

Lunoculus #33

Return to the bridge at the beginning of the gorge, and from there move along the cliff edge to the southwest, to the cave behind the waterfall, where another particle is hidden.

Lunoculus #34

Go through the cave to the end and use the elevator in the hall with paintings by MaalausIt will take you to the surface, to a transition in a small, isolated zone in the northwest. Cross the transparent curtain and move forward to a warning sign about increased archaeolunar storm activity.

The lunar gravity is low here, so jump, deploy your glider, and fly to the center of the arena to collect the particle. Fatigue will build up very quickly, but there's plenty of time. Once the fatigue gauge fills, your character will lose consciousness and end up in a safe zone on the edge of the crater.

Lunoculus #35

Return to the fast travel point in the gorge to the northwest and head into the underground tunnel to the left of the round barrier gate. Before the steps, absorb the Archeolunar Power from the pearl container below, jump up, and collect the sphere above the entrance to the spacious hall.

Lunoculi #36-38

Enter the Skyway building through the round barrier gate next to the teleporter from the previous point. Pick up the particle inside at the entrance.

Run forward and grab onto the energy node above the curved structure on the left. At the top, hold "E" and aim for the sphere above in the center of the room.

Drop down to the floor and head towards the steps to the southwest. Floating under the first arch of the stairs is an oculus that can be claimed with a high Archaeolunar Jump.

Lunoculus #39

Go to Kuuwiaki Sanctuary — a small round house southeast of the sky elevator. Next to it, use the pearl transmitter to jump onto the roof of the building. Activate the next device there—it'll launch you onto the cliff, and you'll collect an orb along the way.

Lunoculus #40

Northeast of the tomb ravine, to the left of the gate leading to the rapid transit station, there's an arch protected by a barrier. Blast a hole in it with an Archeolunar Wave, and collect the Particle inside under the ceiling. You can also deliver an Energy Pearl here and open a Rich Chest.

Lunoculus #41

Return to the fast travel point near the round building in the eastern part of the map. From there, head to the cave in the southeast and pick up the floating orb above the purple mushroom along the way.

Lunoculus #42

Enter the containment chamber corridor—the cave you ran to in the previous section. Glide to the center of the pit, where you can pick up the offering.

Lunoculi #43-44

Go down to the bottom through a deep hole - in Greenhouse MagisFrom the starting bud, jump to the one to the north, and from there to the nearest neighboring one.

Use the energy nodes to move to the far flower and get a particle along the way.

From the outermost node, don't jump onto the petal platform. Instead, turn west and, as a Kuuhenka, dash twice ("E") toward the central control room. Collect the Oculus under the laser grate.

Lunoculus #45

To unlock the particle, you need to get inside the Magis Greenhouse elevator shaft on the surface. Here's how to get the sphere there:

  • At the teleporter in the cultivation zone, rescue the frightened black fairy. For this, you'll receive a rich chest.
  • Jump from the nearest bud to the adjacent flower and help the second kuukhenka. The reward is a rich treasure.
  • Reach the far plant platform and free the fairy from the container hanging above. To do this, aim at the robot and press "T" to deactivate it. After rescuing her, a rich treasure chest will appear.

Once all the creatures are rescued, move with them to the hatch at the bottom of the cylindrical room. The lasers are gone, so use Lunar Dash to fly inside.

Call the elevator, which will take you to a locked room. At the top of the shaft, the Oculus awaits. Opening the door from the inside will also earn you additional rewards: two Rich Crates and one Precious Crate.

Lunoculus #46

To unlock it, you'll need to solve two puzzles in a row. First, head to the plateau above the underground teleporter in the Magis Greenhouse. Destroy the enemy guarding the container and free the moon creature from within.

Follow the fairy to the road and destroy two more robots. Three black creatures will emerge from cover.

Free the two Black Kuuhenki trapped by the stasis modules north and south along the road. They will join the rest of the group and unlock a precious chest.

After collecting your rewards, interact with the remaining pair of fairies and start the minigame. To complete the challenge, follow the energy nodes marked with the quest marker and reach the goal within 120 seconds.

When you reach the flower, you'll find a purple particle above the nest of eggs. Approach the fairies to receive the final prize—a rich box.

Lunoculus #47

Use the rapid transit station in the northeast of Ungyen Circle to travel to the Stone Circle of Nur. Upon arrival, a hovering sphere is clearly visible from the platform to the east.

To get it, open the nearby containers. First, the one on the right, the one that moves—an enemy automaton will appear. After defeating it, you can explore the remaining boxes. The one on the left contains a transmitter that launches the character into the air, and the one in the middle contains a rich chest.

Lunoculus #48

Hanging near a building beam just south of the previous point. Easy to reach thanks to the low gravity.

Lunoculus #49

To get the next piece of this region, explore the tower in the center and complete the quest "The Origin of Sequence", opening a meeting place Stone Circle of Nur: Trace of the Ancient Moon.

Return to the crater beneath the structure where you collected the previous sphere from the beam. Use the pearl in the container to enter Lunar Abundance and clear the crack in the ground of the barrier by detonating an Archeolunar Wave above it.

Run to the room with the chests. The Oculus is located high up, but you can take it after restoring the communication node. Complete the puzzle to collect the fragments of information, after which you can activate the device to activate the special gravity. After solving the puzzle, don't forget to open the rich and precious chest.

Jump across the cubes to the very top, grabbing the sphere along the way. Search the ordinary crate to activate the Source Statue. Interact with it and return to the surface.

Lunoculus #50

To access the final Divine Orb in this location, restore the remaining three communication nodes. They are located along the edges of the area and are marked by tall beams. For additional markers, read the coordinates from the robot at the central tower. For solving the remaining puzzles, you'll receive achievement "Book of Apkallu" and a precious casket.

Climb onto the arriving dragon of the mysterious source and activate it. The robot will take you to the top of the central tower, where, in addition to the oculus, a luxurious chest is located.

Lunoculus #51

If you've made sufficient progress in the region's quest chain and the Traveler's Crater is unlocked on the map, take the expressway there from the Stone Circle of Nur. The orb is hovering above the tail section of the Traveler's ship.

Lunoculus #52

Travel to the teleporter near the Veiled Dark Matter Cell Lab in the southern Moonsea. Use the dash key "E" in Abundance mode to safely reach the island to the south. There, under the distant hill, lies a hidden particle.

Lunoculus #53

Glide to the safe area to the west and grab the sphere above the hill with plants.

Lunoculus #54

From the previous point, gravitate toward the node to the west and fly in the form of a kuukhenka to the next landmass with unusual hollow hills. Beyond them, above the cave entrance, you'll find an oculus.

Lunoculus No. 55-56

Enter the Veiled Dark Matter Cell Lab, marked with a meeting point icon. The quest will start as you approach. Under the Moonlit Sea.

To open the doors, place the pearl in the energy station on the wall.

Head down to the channel flooded with the energy of the ancient moons and use your dash in Kuuhenka form to collect the particle above it.

Proceed past the closed doors of the main terminal to the far side of the complex and collect the next sphere there.

Lunoculus #57

Head to the teleporter on the longest island in the southeastern part of the region. After teleporting, turn the camera behind your character and you'll see an orb in front of a flock of Kuuhenka gathered around the Ancient Moons Energy Node. To assemble the oculus, pull yourself toward it with the "T" key.

Lunoculus #58

Travel to the fast travel point north of the Cell Lab. The Oculus is hanging above the jellyfish—reach it by bouncing off the blue trampoline creatures.

Lunoculus #59

Return to the island from which you jumped onto the jellyfish and head toward its center. To collect the particle hanging high in the air, use the energy node: pull yourself to the highest one with "T," then use your skill ("E") toward the offering. When you exit your Kuuhenka form, hold "E" again and dash again to fly higher.

Lunoculus #60

Use the light rocks floating in the northeast of the same island to get to the next ball.

Lunoculus #61

Visit the location's central teleporter, located on the longest stretch of land. After teleporting, run to its eastern end and look under a small hollow hill, the bottom of which is flooded with archaeolunar energy. The low gravity will allow you to easily jump over the dangerous substance and grab the sphere along the way.

Lunoculus #62

From the previous gathering point, move through the sea of energy to the island near the transit station. Use the Ancient Moon Pearls to enter a state of abundance and cross wide areas of blue spirit-shaped matter or perform high jumps.

On the required stretch of land, you'll find a rickety building blocked by a barrier, with a kuukhenki sitting next to it. Create a passage through the force field by infusing yourself with the fairy's energy—shoot an Archaeolunar Ball with LMB and detonate it near the barrier.

Lunoculus #63

It's located above the northernmost island with a transit station. To collect the particle, pull yourself to the nearby node and perform a Lunar Dash towards it.

Lunoculus #64

Located at the height of the transit station platform. If it's not active yet, restore it. having collected the missing stasis modules near a sunken structure. To repair it, visit three points and complete short tests there.

In the south zone At the teleporter, deactivate the flying robot with the pearl by pressing "T" and push the fallen ball to the underground platform, following the glow. Completing this stage will reward you with a rich chest.

In the north Take the elevator underground and defeat the enemy. Absorb the energy from the object inside, then release the Archeolunar Wave Sphere into the deactivated Source Statue. Don't forget to collect the reward from the treasure room.

Take the elevator back up and touch the flock of kuukhenka above the ground holding the automaton part. It will fall, and the robot will be able to return to its duties.

For east Find three pearls north of the round building with a closed gate. Push one of them to the power station near the entrance and go down to the basement.

The balls may not appear. In this case, move to another location or activate any test run.

To activate the ancient automaton, open the large crate and absorb the power from the object inside. Activate the final robot with an Archeolunar Wave blast. Before leaving, loot the valuables from the chest.

Take the lift marked with a blue quest marker and ride it to the top of the restored transit station. On the platform, you'll be able to open the fourth rich treasure chest.

The Oculus hangs to the east, above a stone basin filled with pearls. Use the Energy Node to reach it. Hidden beneath the spheres are a Luxurious Chest and a Precious Chest.

Lunoculus #65

Hidden in the ruins off-map to the north. A single conduit from the restored transit station leads to this point. Besides the particle, there are a regular chest and a precious chest here.

Lunoculus #66

Teleport to the fast travel starting point on the Dark Side of the Moon and head to the security control room. The sphere hangs above the center of the room, illuminated by a security spotlight. To distract it, throw an Archeolunar Ball toward the entrance.

Lunoculus #67

Behind the security cabin, there's a staircase that leads to an elevator. Use it to reach the floor above.

From the elevator, run straight into the room opposite. Inside, you'll find a rich chest and a purple orb.

Lunoculus #68

Descend the stairs to the west, into a huge hall with a hole leading to the moon's core. A sphere hovers near the base of the steps.

Lunoculus #69

Travel to the teleporter on the transport level. Head north along the corridor and clear the way further using Archaeolunar Waves.

In the flooded area, enter the abundance state again to jump high enough to pick up the oculus.

Lunoculus #70

At the end of the energy-flooded area, open the door to Lusalim's lab and catch the particle above the destroyed column.

Lunoculus #71

Go to Station for the capture of space life forms, which opened at the end of the mission "Guests from the Stars." From the southern teleporter, take the door on the left and swim straight down the corridor. The particle is hanging right next to the window.

Lunoculus #72

Reach the end of the corridor and fly into the gravity control room. The Oculus is located high above the center of the room.

Lunoculus #73

From the circular room, fly out through the corridor to the northeast and grab the sphere in open space.

Lunoculus #74

Return to the gravity control room and exit through the northwest exit. The corridor is long, so keep an eye on your fatigue meter. You can rest near the mechanisms that spread a protective field around themselves.

At the end of the corridor, one of the devices is broken. To continue through outer space, first activate the robot by creating Archaeolunar waves. You can enter Abundance Mode by charging it from the pearl on the container.

After resting, head into space and head to the detached floating station fragment. The purple orb is hidden in an open container.

To avoid missing other Lunocules, check out the separate guide with by all the oculi in Nod-Kray.

Could you please tell me how to get the 50th chest? The dragon is bugged and just stands there, not carrying anything, and doesn't light up to activate it. I had to climb up to the moonculus myself.

In case of such bugs, you need to teleport away, exit through the Paimon menu and return.

There is a mooncule outside the Moonsea. You need to take the path from the nearest transit station to that island. There is a mooncule, a precious chest, and two regular chests there.

I don't understand how to collect 43 mooncules. I can't even become a kuukhenki; I can only shoot a ball.
