Reborn, the hero begins to master his new powers and encounters various monsters. Among them is a Dullahan, who trains the boy in water magic and gives him a sword of water, and a hawk assassin, whose defeat attracts the attention of the red dragon Levin.

Several months after his reincarnation, Ryou encounters the shipwrecked swordsman Abel and agrees to act as his guide. Mihara mistakes him for a poor hermit and decides to protect him during their journey together. However, he soon realizes that his new acquaintance is far more powerful than he initially appeared, yet also inconsistent and somewhat naive in his use of magic.

This encounter and the subsequent adventures completely change Ryo. Initially intending to live peacefully in the forest, he now, under Abel's influence, decides to become an adventurer and develop his powers to the fullest. The protagonist quickly finds himself at the epicenter of mysterious events, gaining both allies and enemies, making mistakes and achieving success at the same time.
