Briefly about the events of the previous season

Through carelessness, the protagonist, Yuji Itadori's friends from the occult club, discovered and activated one of the many relics attracting curses to their school. The upperclassman and the monsters proved to be unevenly matched, and to somehow save himself and his comrades, he found no other solution but to swallow his finger. The consequences of this act radically changed Yuji's life, turning him into the vessel of Sukuna, along with all the other mages.

To solve the problem, Satoru Gojou invited Itadori to Tokyo College to learn how to use his newly acquired powers and collect his remaining fingers. Only then will the curse be banished once and for all. Through a series of trials, the boy understands what it means to be a mage and develops a new perspective on the world.

This was the reason why the friendship between Satoru's teacher and his longtime friend Suguru Geto had rifted in the past. Geto came to the conclusion that ordinary people were to blame for the curses, and that only mages deserved to live, and he decided to exterminate all infidels.

He began implementing "his" plan in Shibuya, using special-level sentient curses and magical barriers. This brought irreparable consequences to the world and many deaths.

Having achieved one of its goals, Geto launched a survival game—the Deadly Migration—in which only the strongest will survive. The rules limit possibilities, and now Yuji and his new friends must figure out how to rectify the situation and achieve victory.
