Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Build Guide and Best Teams

A guide to creating the most powerful Pyro Archon builds for the main and sub DPS roles.

Piro Archon Mavuika
Content

In Genshin impact Mavuika aka the Pyro Archon of Natlan can be a primary or a secondary damage dealer of her team. Depending on whether she is on the battlefield or in the pocket, her attack type changes. This allows her to deal damage almost all the time in battle, as well as strengthen the active character, including herself.

The heroine does not need typical energy recovery, she needs to accumulate Fighting Spirit points to frequently use her ult, so she feels most comfortable in squads with representatives of Natlan. The heroine belongs to the Pyro element, which lets her join most of the teams with various reactions, but she shows the greatest effectiveness as the center of the group.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Based on the description of the gameplay and the principles of the abilities, we can highlight the main pros and cons of the Pyro Archon:

Strengths Weaknesses
Easy to build.. The heroine has a high base ATK and buffs it herself. Her main stat is CRIT DMG, and she doesn't need any energy recovery to activate her ult. All this in total allows you to focus on the balance of crits in artifacts and ignore other stats for the most part. Needs Natlan heroes for her team. Even though she doesn't need energy regeneration, she still needs to be able to generate NS points quickly. Normal hits provide too little NS, and she can only restore 0 NS with the skill at C80. This means that the team must have a second Natlan ally who can spend NS as quickly as as possible, or she will have to give up activating her ult every rotation. The most convenient option is Xilonen, but such a team is too expensive for F2P players or newbies. With C1, the Natlan Archon can generate ult herself as a sub-DD, although she still needs a second Natlan ally as a main DPS.
High damage at any position in the squad. Despite the role she plays, she is capable of inflicting consistent and high damage both from the pocket and on the battlefield thanks to her high skill scaling. Weak Pyro Status Effect. Even though her skill applies elemental effect with every tick, the hits only work once every 2 seconds. This is still fine for squads that don't need a lot of status, but otherwise her status is too easy to interrupt. Even C6 doesn't fix it, since the additional hits from Flamestrider or Rings obtained with this constellation do not apply Pyro at all.
Convenient movement. In the Nightsoul Blessing state, she summons a motorcycle that can not only travel quickly on land, but also fly, swim, and climb rocks. This makes exploring the world much easier, especially in Natlan. Potential of a main damage dealer is higher than that of a sub-dd. At C0, in addition to rarely applying her element, her skill cools down longer (15 sec.) than it lasts (about 12 sec.). This problem is solved only at C1 due to the increase in the maximum NS points. Also, the damage values of the Flamestrider are much higher than those of the Ring of Searing Radiance. This is balanced only at C2, which reduces the defense of enemies by 20%.
The attacks cannot be interrupted.. When Elemental Burst is activated, the heroine gains full resistance to interruption, allowing her to attack freely without fear of her powerful attack being interrupted. In addition, she has a strong infusion.

Best Mavuika Builds in Genshin Impact

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Build Guide and Best Teams

The Archon take on the role of a main or secondary damage dealer in the team, so in both cases it is recommended to build her with an emphasis on inflicting as much damage as possible. The heroine does not need to restore energy to activate the elemental burst, and also has a high base ATK value, which significantly simplifies her build, since the damage of all her skills depends on it.

Recommended Stats

The main characteristic that Mavuika needs to be built into is attack power. The heroine has the highest base rate in the game. Based on the final value of this characteristic, as well as depending on the squad and weapon, the clock for her can be chosen for both ATKand EM. Choose a goblet for Bonus Pyro. The characteristics of the circlet depend on other stats and artifacts, so you can get a CRIT DMGand a CRIT Rateversion, however, if you have the Obsidian Codex, preference should be given to Crit DMG.

In sub-stats you should also look for ATK, Crit Rate and DMG and Elemental Mastery.

Note that Mavuika needs no energy recovery. Her ult depends on Fighting Spirit points, so ER weapons or artifacts with this stat will not increase her damage, but can negatively affect the balance of other stats.

Recommended choice of stats for each artifact piece is shown in the table:

Recommended values:

  • ATK: 3000 and more.
  • CRIT Rate: 70%-80% so that every strong hit of the ult can crit.
  • CRIT DMG: in a ratio of 1:2 with Crit Rate, for further improvements its final value is not limited.
  • Elemental Mastery: 200-300, provided you play in reaction squads.
  • Energy recharge not required.

Weapon Tier List

Priority weapons should grant crit. chance or crit. damage to properly balance these stats. Options with ATK or elemental mastery are also acceptable, although in this case you will have to put more emphasis on CRIT Rate/DMG in artifacts. Claymores with energy recharge for the main stat should not be given to the heroine, since they will significantly lower her damage even with useful passive abilities.

Main DPS Build

As a main DD, she needs swords that not only provide useful stats, but also enhance normal or charged attacks:

After activating E or ult, gives the effect of Scorching Brilliance, which increases critical damage by 20%-40%, and attack power by 28%-56% for 6 sec. once every 10 sec.
Hitting enemies with normal or charged attacks while Scorching Brilliance is active extends the duration of the effect by 2 sec. This extension can occur once every 1 sec, up to a maximum of 1 sec. Scorching Brilliance's effects are increased by 75%, if the weapon's wielder is in the Blessing of the Sacred Flame state. The effect works even from the pocket.
Mavuika' signature. Claymore has one of the highest bases in the game. The sword gives ATK, crit. chance, and passively increases CRIT DMG. This weapon will allow the heroine to significantly simplify balancing the stats and increase her damage.

Defence increases by 28% –56%, the damage of normal and charged attacks is increased by 40% –80% of defence. An excellent weapon that gives a huge amount of Crit DMG. Together with the main characteristic, the heroine's Crit DMG value will be equal to 176.6%, and the low base of the weapon is not critical.

Base stat:

CRIT Rate:
7.2%-33.1%
After hitting an enemy with an E-attack, attack power will increase by 20% –40% for 8 sec. After receiving damage, ATK will be additionally increased by 20% –40% for 8 sec. These effects work even from the pocket. If the wearer is not protected by a shield, their max HP will increase by 32% –64%. Another good sword that gives a lot of ATK and useful crit chance. For the second part of the passive to work, you need to get hit by enemies, otherwise the weapon will lose to the previous sword. Without a shielder in the team, the sword will increase survivability.

Increases ATK by 20% –40%. When the wearer or their allies pick up Crystals, the equipped character gains 1 Seal, boosting E-attack by 18% –36%. The Seal lasts for 15 sec. You can have 2 Seals at a time. All Seals of the equipped character will disappear 0.2 sec after dealing damage with their elemental skill. Second best sword in the game for its basic value, also increases crit. chance and ATK. Additionally strengthens the E-attack, but only if the squad has Geo allies, for example, blacksmith Xilonen.

Increases attack power by 20% –40%. If the wearer attacks an enemy with HP less than 30%, increases the ATK of all allies by 40% –80% within 12 sec. May occur no more than once every 1 sec. Claymore aimed at maximizing ATK and slightly buffing squad members. A good weapon, but requires more careful selection of crits in artifacts, since it does not provide other useful stats except ATK.

ATK:

Increases shield durability by 20% –40%. On hit, increases attack power by 4% –8% for 8 sec. The effect stacks up to 5 times and occurs once every 0.3 sec. Under the protection of a shield, the attack power bonus of this effect increases by 100%. Another sword with a lot of ATK. Unlike the previous version, it requires a shielder in the team, since the stats from the passive in this case are doubled. Even shields from the Crystallize reaction are alright.

Serpent Spine
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat:
42-510
CRIT Rate:

Every 4 sec. increases the damage dealt by the active character by 6% –10%, and the one they receive by 3% –1.8%. Can stack up to 5 times, does not reset when changing characters, decreases by 1 stack level when taking damage. A weapon from the Battle Pass. The best 4⭐ sword, but requires avoiding incoming damage to keep stacks.

Tidal Shadow
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat:
42–510
ATK:
9% –41.3%
Attack power after being healed is increased by 24% –48% for 8 sec. The effect works even when the character is not on the battlefield. Free craftable sword from Fontaine that requires healing every 8 seconds, so it's best to use healers who can heal from off-field to keep your rotation going.

After hitting an enemy with E or activating an elemental reaction, ATK increases by 8 sec. 12% –24%, and elemental mastery by 48–96 . The weapon was available as an event reward in patch 3.5.
A great free option when playing through reactions. If you play in mono-elemental teams or where you don't need EM, this sword is not worth giving to Mavuika.

CRIT DMG:
12%-55.1%
Each enemy killed increases attack power by 12% –24%. The effect lasts 30 seconds and stacks up to 3 times. Quite a strong sword, but to get the buff you need to kill 1-3 enemies, which doesn't always work, especially on bosses.

ATK:
6%-27.6%
When hitting an enemy with a normal or charged attack, every 15 seconds has a 50% chance to deal 240% –480% extra damage in a small radius. A good claymore for beginners, as it can be obtained through crafting in Mondstadt. Works well in the bike stance, as it additionally hits enemies after basic attacks.
Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Build Guide and Best Teams
Talking Stick
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Base stat:
44-565
CRIT Rate:
4% –18.4%
Increases ATK by 16% –32% for 15 sec after receiving Pyro effect once every 12 sec. After receiving Hydro, Cryo, Electro, or Dendro effects, the elemental damage bonus is increased by 12% –24% once every six sec. The sword is available in the Battle Pass, but when choosing its rewars, it is better to give preference to the Serpent Spine, not the Talking Stick. Grants critical chance and useful buffs if there is an elemental status on the wielder. The heroine will be able to activate the passive only if she plays with Bennett or Barbara.

Sub-DPS Build

Playing the role of a secondary damage dealer, the heroine mainly uses her elemental skill, so it is worth choosing swords that increase its damage:

Hitting an enemy with E grants 1 stack of Canopy's Favor every 0.5 sec. If an ally activates Burning or Burgeon, the wearer gains 3 more stacks every 2 sec. Canopy's Favor can stack up to 6 times and increases skill and ult damage by 10%-20% for 6 sec. Has the same basic characteristics as the signature claymore. The heroine's skill hits once every 2 seconds, so she can only maintain two stacks of the buff on her own. If there is at least one Dendro ally in the group, the benefit of this sword will be even greater.

Can stack up to 5 times, does not reset when changing characters, decreases by 1 stack level when taking damage. Since the weapon's passive skill also works outside of combat, the sword becomes a great option, although it only outperforms other epic options at full awakenings. Before going into the pocket, you need to be on the battlefield for a sufficient amount of time to gain 5 stacks. After hitting an enemy with E or activating an elemental reaction, ATK increases by 8 sec. 12% –24%, and elemental mastery by 48–96 . The sword can be used for the secondary damage dealer position, since it not only activates reactions, but also hits with an elemental skill.

ATK stat after receiving healing increases by 24% –48% for 8 sec. The effect works even when the character is not on the battlefield. Another weapon that will suit any heroine's role. Since the owner has to receive healing, the team must include healers who can heal the entire team at once. Otherwise, you will have to bring her out on the field every 8 seconds to maintain the buff.

Which artifacts to choose

For Mavuika, artifact sets are approximately the same for both roles, as there is almost no differences in builds. She prefers the sets that directly increase damage dealt by normal and charged attacks or skills. You can also give the heroine artifacts that increase useful characteristics.

It is also worth noting that the Shimenawa's Reminiscence does not work for Mavuika, because the girl does not have the usual energy and cannot spend it. If necessary, you can take 2 parts of this set to get ATK, and ignore the rest of the pieces.

2 Piece: Grants a 15% Pyro damage bonus.
2 Piece: Increases attack power by 18%.
A universal 2+2 mix that increases elemental damage and grants ATK. You can use it if you have good pieces, but you shouldn't farm or craft it specifically.

4 Piece: When the wielder spends 1 Nightsoul point, their Critical Chance is increased by 40% for 6 sec. The effect occurs once per second.
The best set for the main damage dealer, but it can also be used for the sub-DD position. Note that the heroine does not spend NS points during the ult, so the Crit Rate buff will not be able to fully cover the duration of the elemental burst and will leave 1-2 seconds of time without amplification. However, even despite this drawback, the set significantly outperforms other options in damage.

Sample Teams for Mavuika

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Build Guide and Best Teams

The heroine can play the role of both the main damage dealer and the secondary one, but due to the peculiarities of her gameplay and focus on dealing damage mainly on the battlefield, the first option will bring more benefits than the second. When setting up a team, it is worth considering her need for a quick accumulation of Fighting Spirit to constantly activate her ult for each rotation.

If the heroine does not have C1, teams for Mavuika should contain at least one ally from Natlan who can spend NS points, and preference should be given to those heroes who spend them in a shorter time. With the first constellation in the sub-DD position, she becomes less demanding of this condition, although as a main damage dealer she still needs to frequently use Elemental Burst and spend NS points.

Note that she doesn't apply much elemental status, which is why she is is never to team up with the companions that require a large amount of it for constant reactions, for example, Tartaglia, Ayato, Ganyu and others. She can play with them well, but in terms of status in this case she will lose to the free Xiangling.

Best Characters

Let's list the heroes who interact best with this heroine.

Priority Allies

Allies with the best synergy:

CharacterElementWeaponInteraction

Xilonen

Geo

One-handed sword
The best support that plays with her in almost any squad. In addition to the defense cut, she has a low cooldown on her elemental skill, which is why she can grant Mavuika 180 Nightsoul points at once.

Mualani

Hydro

Catalyst
Hydro damager, playing from normal attacks after collecting three stacks. If she picks up all the puffers, she can spend up to 100 Nightsoul points at C0. Due to rare Hydro attacks, she can accumulate NS points.

Kinich

Dendro

Two-handed sword
One of the best primary damage dealers for a heroine in the role of secondary damage dealer, since Burning is not so dependent on the amount of fire status. Spends NS points for the Archon's ult.

Chasca

Anemo

Bow
A strong Anemo damager who copies the elements of her allies, so she doesn't rely too much on their status effects. She doesn't spend NS Points very quickly, but her maximum is 80, which is important for accumulating Fighting Spirit Points.

Varesa

Electro

Catalyst
Electro damage dealer playing off plunging blows, also is able to play off Overloaded. Often uses the energy of the Nightsoul, so she can constantly spend it and restore it to accumulate NS points.

Iansan

Electro

Polearm
Increases ATK and provides additional healing. Buffs quickly and spends Night Spirit points throughout the fight to cool down Archon's ult.

Citlali

Cryo

Catalyst
Cryo Shielder. Cuts fire and water resistance after Melt, which the Archon can stably trigger based on the status from Citlali. Spends NS points.

Damage dealers

Heroes for the Pyro Archon's team that deal damage both on the field and from the pocket:

Best main dd and sub dd
CharacterElementWeaponBy recommendation
Lyney
Pyro
Bow
Lyney plays primarily from charged shots in mono-fire teams, which is why he will be able to interact comfortably with the Archon.
Klee
Pyro
Catalyst
Like Lyney, she feels good in teams consisting of companions of the same element. She fights in close combat with charged blows, so it is convenient to switch her to deal damage.
Clorinde
Electro
One-handed sword
Quickly hits with Electro normal shots, so she can help gain some NS points with them.
Yelan
Hydro
Bow
Will not be able to play with Mavuika when using normal attacks frequently, but will greatly enhance the game through normal attacks. Has a similar effect of exploding elements that will stack with Mavuika's.
Xingqiu
Hydro
One-handed sword
Similar to Yelan, she is only suitable for rotations with normal attacks or playing in teams in which the heroine occupies the sub-DD position.
Nahida
Dendro
Catalyst
Variant for Burgeon reaction. Doesn't perform as well in Burning, as her elemental skill doesn't work often.
Pyro MC
Pyro
One-handed sword
The Traveler will help accumulate NS points, as well as trigger the resonance. With the first constellation, will increase damage during the Nightsoul's Blessing.
Wriothesley
Cryo
Catalyst
Even though Wriothesley plays well with characters like Xiangling, he doesn't necessarily need that much Pyro status to cause Melt. Therefore, he will be able to get enough effect from the heroine for stable reactions.
Rosaria
Cryo
Polearm
Secondary Cryo damager that hits in a limited area. Also buffs crit chance, which can be important if not for the Archon herself, then for her sub-DD.
Navia
Geo
Two-handed sword
Geo main dd with an E for her main button. Plays off Crystallize reaction, so needs stable secondary damage dealers.
Furina
Hydro
One-handed sword
One of the best sub-DDs for the heroine, since she not only increases damage, but also does not depend on normal or charged attacks and gives a stable Hydro status for each hit of the Archon.
Emilie
Dendro
Polearm
A strong secondary damage dealer with the Burning reaction. Can be used as a second sub-DD in a squad with Kinich.
Ororon
Electro
Bow
Although Ororon is most effective with his Charged reaction, he can interact with the heroine by spending Nightsoul points.
Fischl
Electro
Bow
A versatile Electro sub-DD that can play in almost any squad and provide enough damage and status for reactions
Yae Miko
Electro
Catalyst
Like Fischl, she can apply Electro to enemies, but requires a little more time than Fischl to use her ult.
Mona
Hydro
Catalyst
A budget alternative to Furina, although her ability lasts less, requiring Mavuika to come out more often to refresh it. Mona also applies less Hydro.

Supports

Support companions that help with buffs, as well as providing status for reactions, healing or shields:

Optimal supports and buffers
CharacterElementWeaponBy recommendation
Kachina
Geo
Polearm
If you don't have Xilonen, can become a budget ally for spending NS. Will bring more benefit if wearing the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City.
Bennett
Pyro
One-handed sword
In addition to healing, will provide elemental status, resonance and a significant increase in ATK.
Chevreuse
Pyro
Polearm
Reduces enemy resistance to fire and electro. Can heal. Worth taking into a team when playing through Overloaded.
Sigewinne
Hydro
Bow
Another Hydro healer. Almost useless in triggering Vaporize, but boosts elemental skills of allies from the pocket.
Lan Yan
Anemo
Catalyst
Provides a thick shield, pulls in enemies and reduces resistance.
Mizuki
Anemo
Catalyst
Although Mizuki formally occupies the role of a healer in the squad, she plays as an active hero and the Archon can interact with her as a sub-DD.
Layla
Cryo
One-handed sword
Is not a Natlanian, but gives a strong shield. Also applies Cryo status with both skill and ult.
Diona
Cryo
Bow
A more versatile Cryo support that can provide both shields and healing. With constellations, buffs elemental mastery, useful in Melt.
Kokomi
Hydro
Catalyst
A strong Hydro healer that provides the status for the Vaporize reaction and stable healing. Can wear the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers.

Zhongli
Zhongli
Geo

Anemo
One-handed sword
A powerful Anemo healer who can heal the entire team with one press of her ult.

Teams for the Main DPS

The heroes listed above can be used to create various teams. For convenience, they are divided by reactions.

Vaporize

Hydro and Pyro elemental commands to trigger Vaporize:

Character 1Character 2Character 3Character 4Features
Mavuika
Yelan
Xingqiu
Xilonen
Zhongli
Zhongli
Lan Yan
A team focused on normal attacks. Xilonen cuts off resistances to both fire and water. Zhongli will provide shields and additional defense reduction. Instead of Zhongli, you can also take Lan Yan with the Viridescent Venerer set, which will also provide a shield and reduce enemy defense.
Mavuika
Xiangling
Dehya
Pyro MC
Kokomi
Sigewinne
Furina
Vaporize group with support healers and an additional source of fire element applied by a strong sub-DD. Kokomi can be given the Tales, but at the same time Sigewinne will strengthen elemental skills. Furina will allow to provide a large amount of Hydro.
Mavuika
Furina
Mona
Xilonen
Bennett
Jean
One of the best squads in terms of damage. Furina gives stable status and buffs, but if necessary, she can be replaced with Mona. Xilonen cuts off defense and grants a lot of points of Fighting Spirit. For support, Bennet or Jean are taken for healing.

Overloaded

Overloaded teams are often not the best for Mavuika, since the girl fights in close combat, but there are several strong groups:

Character 1Character 2Character 3Character 4Features
Mavuika
Iansan
Chevreuse
Fischl
Yae Miko
Overloaded squad with a lot of ATK from Pyro Resonance, Iansan buff and 30% boost from Chevreuse. It is important to give Iansan the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set. The Archon in this version is almost a hyper-carry, the damage from her sub-dd is secondary.
Mavuika
Ororon
Chevreuse
Fischl
Yae Miko
Unlike the previous team, Chevreuse provides the main buffs here. Ororon is the only Natlan representative other than the main DD, so he must spend a lot of NS points so that the Archon can activate her ult. Fischl or Yae Miko provide damage from the pocket and trigger reactions.
Mavuika
Ororon
Bennett
Xilonen
Mavuika, having the buff from Bennett and the cut of resistances from Xilonen, should deal damage over the status from Ororon. He, in turn, activates his ult for the status as often as possible.

Melt

Melt teams, where the heroine deals fire damage over the Cryo status:

Character 1Character 2Character 3Character 4Features
Mavuika
Bennett
Citlali
Xilonen
A hyper-carry variant of the squad with a permanent Cryo status from Citlali, which boosts Mavuika. "Grandmother" can be given the Natlan support set, and Xilonen can use the Archaic Petra set to get elemental buff. Bennett will give additional ATK boost via personal buff and trigger the resonance.
Mavuika
Rosaria
Citlali
Xilonen
Quite a strong team with a lot of Cryo status from Rosaria and Citlali. The first one gives crit chance, and the second one reduces enemy resistance. Xilonen will additionally weaken enemies and give NS points.
Mavuika
Citlali
Bennett
Kazuha
Sucrose
The second option for Citlali, where she gives both Fighting Spirit and debuffs to enemies, and Cryo status. Bennett strengthens the team and can apply Pyro status on enemies to Swirl Anemo as a support.
Mavuika
Kaeya
Kachina
Lynette
A budget Melt team, in which the Cryo effect comes from Kaeya's ult. Kachina is much weaker than Xilonen, but will also be able to give NS and wear the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City. Lynette helps with reactions.

Dendro

Squads through Burning and Burgeon:

Character 1Character 2Character 3Character 4Features
Mavuika
Furina
Yelan
Xingqiu
Baizhu
Yaoyao
Nahida
Burgeon team, where Hydro companion either plays off normal attacks or hits independently from the damager. Nahida gives the status for the blooms, and the Archon explodes them.
Mavuika
Furina
Yelan
Xingqiu
Lauma (C1)
A group similar to the one above, but with Hydro Resonance and a greater emphasis on the heroes' individual numbers rather than core explosion damage. Furina, Ye Lan, and Xingqiu can be combined in any way, but ideally, the first two are the best. The priestess takes the healer role, which will be more challenging to play against at C0.
Mavuika
Emilie
Bennett
Xilonen
Kachina
Group via Burning with Emilia and Bennett. Geo ally is only needed to spend NS points and reduce resistance to fire damage, as it does not work with Dendro.
Mavuika
Emilie
Nahida
Baizhu
Xiangling
The second variation of the Burning group. Bai Zhu provides shields and heals the team. If necessary, he can be replaced with Yaoyao.
Mavuika
Dendro MC
Barbara
Collei
F2P Burgeon group. Two free sub-dds will be able to give enough status for Barbara to create blooms and heal the team after the explosion.

Mono-Pyro

If desired, Mavuika is able play in a group with allies of her own element:

Character 1Character 2Character 3Character 4Features
Mavuika
Xiangling
Dehya
Pyro MC
Xilonen
Bennett
Thoma
A squad with any Pyro sub-dd and Bennett or Thoma as a support. Xilonen is needed to reduce resistance. In this team Mavuika can be given the Lavawalker.
Mavuika
Xiangling
Pyro MC
Kachina
Lynette
A budget version of the previous squad. Since there is no Xilonen, her role is played by two heroes at once - Kachina with theScroll of the Hero of the Burnt City" and Lynette with the Viridescent Venerer.

Teams for the sub-DPS

Due to the rare status application, the heroine in the sub-DD position is not a good fit for most of the damage dealers, although several of the most successful teams can be distinguished:

Character 1Character 2Character 3Character 4Features
Mualani
Mavuika
Xilonen
Kazuha
A team focused on maximizing Mualani's damage output with the help of buffs from Xilonen and Kazuha. Mualani hits enemies every 3 seconds, so she can use the status from one fire ally.
Kinich
Mavuika
Bennett
Emilie
Nahida
Burning squad with Kinich. He only needs Burningg, which Mavuika can keep up with. Emilia or Nahida will do extra damage. Activate the Archon's ult before the Saurian Hunter to boost his damage.
Lyney
Klee
Mavuika
Bennett
Xilonen
Kazuha
Mono-Fire team with Lyney or Klee who play ranged or melee. Xilonen or Kazuha can be used for a support here, and Mavuika can be given the support set Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City.
Clorinde
Mavuika
Chevreuse
Ororon
Overloaded variant with Clorinde, who will quickly grant Mavuika NS with normal attacks along with Ororon. Chevreuse heals the team and strengthens allies.
Navia
Mavuika
Xilonen
Furina
Navia needs stable Crystallize triggers, which Pyro and Hydro sub-DD can provide. Xilonen reduces resistance to all elements, including Geo.
Chasca
Mavuika
Furina
Citlali
Layla
Diona
A command to paint Chaska's bullets into three different elements and trigger Vaporize, Melt, and Frozen. Chasca does not depend on pocket damage, but her allies will be able to deal extra damage this way.
Wriothesley
Mavuika
Bennett
Xilonen
Nahida
Wriothesley doesn't require too much Pyro status to play comfortably, so she can play with Mavuika and Bennett. If the status isn't enough, you can add Nahida or another Dendro hero for Burning instead of Xilonen.
Mizuki
Mavuika
Furina
Mona
Vaporize team, where Mizuki acts as a driver and a healer at the same time. Mona triggers Hydro Resonance, increasing Furina's HP, and at the same time distributing a buff and distracting enemies to herself. Mavuika hits over the Hydro status once every 2 seconds.

Skills

Mavuika in a stand

Mavuika has a fairly versatile gameplay, as she can simultaneously serve as a secondary and primary damage dealer, attacking both on and off the battlefield. Her abilities during Nightsoul's Blessing grant her special armament:

  • Rings that deal damage from the pocket (E-attack);
  • a fire motorcycle that not only helps reduce enemy HP, but also makes it much easier to move across all types of surfaces and fly in the air (Q-attack).

Unlike other heroes, she has a special mechanic replacing energy with Fighting Spirit points. To activate an elemental burst, the heroine must get a certain amount of those point with the help of allies using normal attacks and spending Nightsoul points. In addition to attacking skills, there are also support skills that increase the active hero's damage for a while depending on the points collected when activating the ult.

Basic (Active) Skills

In the next part of our guide we will tell you more detail on the abilities, both active and passive, the Archon of Natlan has, as well as the principles of their work and the order of upgrading them for better use of the character and less resource expenditure. Among other things, we will show you the most important of the heroine's constellations.

Flames Weave Life (Normal, Charged, Plunging Attack)

Flames Weave Life

  • Source of damage: ATK.
  • Normal attack: Performs up to four sword strikes in melee combat.
  • Charged Attack: consumes stamina and spends it on a strong blow in front of her.
  • Plunging Attack: descends to the ground and hits an area after landing.
The Named Moment (Elemental Skill)

The Named Moment

  • Source of damage: ATK.
  • Maximum Nightsoul Points: 80
  • Cooldown: 15 seconds
  • Ring of Searing Radiance Interval: 2 seconds

Summons the All-Fire Armaments, dealing Pyro damage to an area with the Nightsoul (NS) attribute, restores NS points to the maximum, and also enters the NS Blessing state. The All-Fire Armaments enters a mode depending on Tapped or Held and spends NS points:

  1. Tap: Divine Name Unleashed - the All-Fire Armaments are transformed into Ring of Searing Radiance. They follow the active hero and periodically deal fire damage to nearby enemies with the NS attirbute.
  2. Hold: Ancient Name Unbound - summons a Flamestrider, which Mavuika rides at increased speed, overcomes various types of terrain, and also hovers in the air. While the heroine is on the Flamestrider, her normal, charged, and plunging attacks receive a strong fire infusion with the NS stat. In addition, she deals damage to nearby enemies while sprinting.

You can switch between the types of the All-Fire Armament with a simple tap while the character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state. When you exit the state, the All-Fire Armament disappears.

Hour of Burning Skies (Elemental Burst)

Hour of Burning Skies

  • Source of damage: ATK, Fighting Spirit (FS) points.
  • Maximum NS points: 200
  • Cooldown: 18 seconds
  • Crucible of Death and Life duration: 7 seconds

Gains 10 NS and activates the Nightsoul's Blessing. Riding a Flamestrider, she attacks enemies with a Sunfell Slice, dealing fire damage to an area with the NS attribute. The heroine also enters the Crucible of Death and Life state.

The Crucible of Death and Life: The character does not spend NS points and increases resistance to interruption. The damage of the Sunfell Slice, normal and charged attacks during the Ancient Name Unbound increases depending on the amount of Fighting Spirit.

Elemental Burst is based on NS points, so she doesn't need energy. If she has more than 50% NS, she spends it and activates Elemental Burst. To get Fighting spirit points, you need to:

  • Spend NS points with squad members.
  • Use normal attack of allies and hits an enemy, this grants 1.5 NS points once every 0.1 sec.

Passive Skills

Special talents that unlock at different stages of leveling:

Talent 1: Night-Shattering Radiance

Night-Shattering Radiance

The cooldown of the squad's Nightsoul Transmission is reduced by 20%.

Talent 2: Night Realm's Gift: Exhaust Mode

Night Realm's Gift: Exhaust Mode

In areas where phlogiston mechanics work, the heroine can use Nightsoul Transmission:

  • While sprinting, climbing, swimming, and flying, if the active character changes to Mavuika, she will activate the Blessing state with 50% NS points. This ability can be activated once every 10 seconds.
  • If the heroine runs out of Nightsoul points, she switches to Phlogiston and maintains the state until runs out of it.
Talent 3: Gift of Flaming Flowers

Gift of Flaming Flowers

Mavuika gains 30% ATK for 10 sec after allies activate Nightsoul Burst.

Talent 4: "Kiongozi"

"Kiongozi"

After activating Elemental Burst, the active character gains a damage buff of 0.2% for each point of Fighting Spirit spent on the ult. The maximum buff is 40%. The effect lasts for 20 seconds and gradually decreases until it reaches 0.

Talent Leveling Order

Elemental Burst (Q) = Elemental Skill (E) > Normal Attacks

Regardless of the role in the squad, the principle of leveling up her abilities remains approximately the same:

  1. Elemental Burst — same as the skill, puts you into the Nightsoul's Blessing state and deals high instant damage to enemies. All hits also get a buff depending on the amount of BS points spent. The ult has high damage even when playing as a sub-DD, which is why it is worth leveling first.
  2. Elemental Skill — a skill that needs to be upgraded along with the ult. It offers stable fire damage every 2 seconds outside the field or damage from the bike on the field. During the fight, you need to constantly use your skill to spend NS points, so it is essential even when playing off the ult, since their damage is summed up by the skill and elemental burst buffs.
  3. Normal attacks — despite the fact that in the Blessing stance the heroine uses normal and charged attacks, their multipliers are described in the elemental skill, which is why this ability does not need to be levelled.

Constellations

All the heroine's constellations:
Name Effects
1. Interpretation of the Lord of the Night

Mavuiki's maximum Night Spirit points are increased to 120, and Fighting Spirit is accumulated 25% more efficiently.

After receiving BD, the heroine's attack power increases by 40% for 8 sec.

2. The price of ashes While under Night Spirit's Blessing, Mavuiki's base ATK is increased by 200 and she also gains the following buffs:
  • Rings of Searing Glitter: Nearby enemies' defense is reduced by 20%.
  • Flame Cycle: Normal/Charged Attack/Elemental Burst damage is increased by 60%/90%/120% of Mavuiki's ATK.
3. Burning sun Increases elemental burst level by 3. Max. level: 15.
4. Leader's Insight Provides a buff to the Kiongozi passive:
  • The overall damage increase is now 50% (previously 40%, +10%) and no longer decays over time.
5. The meaning of truth Increases elemental skill level by 3. Max. level: 15.
6. The liberated "name of humanity" All-Fire weapons receive buffs:
  • Rings of Scorching Glitter: When attacking an enemy, a Flame Cycle is created that rams enemies and deals Pyro damage in an area equal to 200% of ATK with the ND characteristic.
  • Flame Cycle: When attacking with Flame Cycle, Mavuika also summons a Ring of Scorching Glitter that reduces enemy Defense by 20% and attacks Pyro with an area of effect dealing 400% ATK damage every 3 seconds.
  • When Mavuiki's Night Spirit points drop to 5 outside of combat, she gains 80 additional ND every 15 seconds.

The best constellations of Mavuika are С1, С2 и С6.

  • The first constellation increases the amount of NS points and speeds up the accumulation of NS Blessing. This allows you to get rid of too much dependence on allies from Natlan for faster accumulation of the ult. If Mavuika is built as a main DD, she still needs at least one Natlan ally, while the sub-DD version can now rely only on her elemental skill. In addition, one more ATK buff won't hurt, it will provide an opportunity to leave buffers of this characteristic for other squads.
  • The second constellation gives a significant increase in the basic attack parameter, which, without weapons and artifacts, becomes equal to 559, and increases the attacks in the state of Nightsoul's Blessingt. The final difference in values between C0 and C2, according to preliminary calculations, will be 700-900. Also, her attacks from the pocket will start to reduce the defense of enemies, which will have a positive effect on the overall damage of the squad.
  • The sixth constellation offers a direct damage increase for both pocket and direct strikes. While previously the Ring of Searing Radiance only worked in the sub-DD position, this constellation opens up the possibility of giving herself a 20% defense reduction. It also increases the efficiency of moving on a motorcycle outside the battlefield while exploring the world.

How to play in combat

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Build Guide and Best Teams

Mavuika's abilities combine the skills of a primary and secondary damage dealer, so in battle she can be on and off the field:

  • In the position of a a main-dd the heroine plays mainly off her ult. Having collected a sufficient amount of NS points with the help of her skill and the abilities of other Natlanians, she gets a boost, deals high instant damage and summons a flamecycle. While the Archon rides it, you can use normal and charged attacks, where the advantage belongs to the latter due to higher scaling.
  • In the position of a sub-dd she uses her elemental skill and then switches to the main DPS of the team. However, she still has to press her ult on cooldown to deal high instant damage and activate the active hero's buff.

Rotation for the main DPS

Main DPS priority: elemental skill (E) > support abilities, mostly from Natlan, to spend NS points > elemental burst (Q) > charged attacks.

Detailed rotation for the main damage dealer position
  1. The fight must be started with an elemental skill. First, it will trigger the Nightsoul Burst, which will increase her ATK by 30% and restore the energy of the ally who wears the Scroll of Cinder City Hero artifact set. Second, the enemies will be inflicted with a fire status, which is necessary for the subsequent buff with the already mentioned artifact set. Third, the heroine must count the spent NS points, which her ability will help her with.
  2. Switch to supports and press their skills. They should not only provide buffs, but also provide a stable status for reactions, for example, Vaporize or Melt.
  3. Return to the Archon and activate her Elemental Burst, provided that she has about 200 points of Fighting Spirit. The first hit of the ult must definitely hit the elemental status for a reaction.
  4. Depending on your team composition, use normal or charged attacks while the elemental burst is active. Hold attacks are more recommended due to the damage. Normal attacks can be used with Yelan or Xingqiu. The Pyro Archon can perform 7 charged attacks during her entire rotation.

Rotation for a sub-DPS

Sub-DPS priority: activate support and sub-DD skills > elemental skill and elemental burst (EQ) > switch to the main damage dealer.

Detailed rotation for secondary damage dealer role
  1. At the beginning of the battle, you need to press all the abilities of the sub-DD and supports to activate their personal buffs and artifact enhancements.
  2. Switch to the Archon and press her skill and ult. At the same time, the ult should preferably hit the status from the supports to cause a reaction. For the ability, you need to use a quick press (tap). You do not need to use basic attacks during the elemental burst, since only the first hit and further increase in damage is needed from the ult.
  3. Switch to your main damage dealer and use their skills while all the support buffs, as well as the elemental status and buff, are active.

Is the Character Worth Pulling?

Mavuika in Genshin Impact: Build Guide and Best Teams

Mavuika in Genshin Impact is perfect for those who feel the need for a damager of this element, although she has her own conditions for unlocking her potential. As the Archon of the region, the heroine combines all the mechanics of the heroes of Natlan and in the state of the Nightsoul's Blessing significantly simplifies the exploration of the world, and can also wear Natlan artifact sets. Her abilities are also universal, so she occupies the position of both main-dd and sub-dd, which is beneficial for accounts with a small assortment of companions.

Thanks to her element, the girl plays comfortably in many squads, but it is important to take into account that her Fighting Spirit points accumulate only after spending the NS points. This circumstance obliges her to interact with characters from Natlan, narrowing the list of the best allies. In addition, she rarely applies elemental status from the pocket, which allows her to compete with Chef Xiangling only in a limited number of teams.

Which is better: Signature or C1?

The Archon of Natlan has quite strong first const and signature sword:

  • The first constellation adds more convenience to her gameplay by increasing her Nightsoul points maximum. This allows her to single-handedly get 120 NS with one E and not use a Natlan hero when playing as a sub-DD.
  • Mavuiki's signature weapon, A Thousand Blazing Suns, gives her useful stats such as crit. chance, crit. damage and ATK only. However, this sword is quite versatile, so it can easily find use for other claymore wielders.

Therefore, if there are no Natlans among the heroes on your account to put them in a group for comfortable play, it is worth taking C1. If there are many strong supports in her team, and there is no alternative in weapons, then preference should be given to the Signature.

Arlecchino or Mavuika: which one to choose?

The Archon of Natlan, being a Pyro main-DD, is a huge competitor to Arlecchino, who was released not so long ago and is now considered the strongest of the Pyro main damage dealers. Some players may wonder which of them is better and whether it makes sense to change one heroine for another. When deciding, it is worth considering several factors:

  • Availability of characters from Natlan. Mavuika is very dependent on allies from her region for the role of a field damage dealer, since without them she will not be able to regularly reset her ult. If you do not have support heroes from Natlan, for example, Xilonen, Ororon or don't want to level Kachina, it is better not to pull for Pyro Archon, since she plays much worse in these conditions.
  • Teams. As a two-handed wielder, the Archon is worse at using Melt than the Harbinger, as she often just smashes enemy statues instead of triggering the reaction. Arlecchino, as a spearwoman, does not have this issue. If you use the latter with Cryo sub-DD and constant Frozen, keep in mind that it will not be possible to perfectly replace Arlecchino in such a group, and the team will probably have to be adjusted.
  • Availability of signatures, sets and constellations for Arlecchino. Signature weapon, the Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy and at least C1 significantly strengthen the Harbinger, effectively doubling her damage compared to C0, 2+2 mixes and epic weapons. In this case, the gap in damage will not be so significant. At the same time, if you have not pulled for a signature for Arlecchino or have not collected a full set of artifacts, but already have a set and legendary equipment for the Archon, she will be a level higher.

We hope this guide helped you learn how to create the best Mavuika build. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in comments. Stay tuned for new builds in Genshin Impact on our website.

Trailers and Bio

Mavuika is a Pyro Archon, but she actually belongs to the generation that lived 500 years ago. The girl was born into the tribe of the The Scions of the Canopy, where she lived with her family - her parents, her younger sister Hine, and two Yumkasaurus. She also participated in the Pilgrimage, where after the battles, she rightfully took the place of the fire deity due to her power.

In order to defeat the forces of the Abyss, the heroine came up with a complex plan, which forced her to travel 500 years into the future. She used the Sacred Flame to avoid falling into the Night Realm, and thanks to this, she returned to her home region shortly before the events of Archon Quest Chapter V. Her ancient name, "Kiongozi", means "Chief", and perfectly suits a brave girl who is ready not only to inspire and lead all the tribes, but also to sacrifice herself for the well-being of the region.

Her story is perfectly described in the following legendary storyline: As the Blazing Sun.
