Mortenax Blade is a legendary follower of the Void in HSR, who successfully fulfills several roles at once: dealing decent damage as a damage dealer, applying debuffs as a debuffer, and absorbing enemy attacks as a tank. All of his skills rely on HP, so the build emphasizes this stat.
The main mechanic is the super ability: the swordsman spends health to create a zone and enter a special state, reminiscent of the ultimate. Firefly's "huntresses"He achieves the best synergy with damage dealers in the Void thanks to Last Trace and frequently attacking characters, allowing him to quickly build up his talent charges.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Thanks to its versatility, Stellaron Hunter fits easily into a variety of teams. However, its Ultimate reliance requires careful energy management, and its talent mechanics require a specific type of teammate.
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| Flexibility of the role performedFrom support to hyper-carry, the hero excels in a variety of positions with the right teammates and build. | It is important to ult consistentlySuperpower is a key skill in the rotation. If it's not activated consistently, it negatively impacts the entire fight. |
| Compatible with any charactersUniversal debuffs allow for increased damage output for units of any element and orientation, meaning the swordsman will find a use in any situation. | Consistent rotation = damage takenIn scenarios where enemies are rarely attacking, the ultimate charges more slowly, which can make the game less enjoyable. |
| Special synergy with representatives of the NonexistenceWith the third trace, he further enhances the superpowers of his partners in the presence of another follower of his Path. | Not the easiest gameplayThis is due to the need to calculate energy reserves and monitor the situation on the battlefield. |
| Massive reduction of defenseThis is a powerful multiplier that's highly valuable regardless of the situation or team type. Having a debuff like this is a significant advantage. | You need to control your HPIf your health drops to one, you can't use the skill, and if it drops to zero, the zone disappears. |
| Invulnerability during ultWhile the ultimate zone/state is active (ideally almost constantly), the character cannot die. | Frequent attacking allies needed, without which talent charges take longer to build. This grants VE and allows for a bonus hit. |
| Increases team survivability due to the negative status "Taunt": enemies are more likely to attack the unit rather than its allies. | When playing with heroes from the bonus attack, E2 is desirableThe talent's functionality works in any case with similar units, but they don't receive a direct buff without a second constellation. |
| Suitable for F2P play"Hunter" remains effective without a signal or eidolons. While the investment will certainly yield benefits, it's not critical. |
The Best Mortenax Blade Builds in HSR

A versatile hero, Blade (Fire) can serve as both a support debuffer and a damage dealer. Regardless of his chosen role, his core build follows these key parameters:
- health (HP), which determines your ability percentage and survivability. If this indicator drops to one, you won't be able to use the E-type (it consumes HP);
- speed for frequent actions and increased overall efficiency.
To maximize personal damage you will need crit и fire damage bonusEnergy regeneration is usually sufficient with a suitable team and regular damage, but in a pinch, you can equip gear or a connecting rope with this stat.
Light Cone Rating
Weapons that provide HP, speed, and team buffs are a priority. If a swordsman is focused on eliminating enemies, combat cones are worth considering.

In this state, the target's damage received is increased by 30-60% and the damage from the owner's critical hits increases 30-60%. | A versatile option for both dealing damage and supporting allies. Additionally, the signal boosts health, allowing for high stat values. |

What relics and ornaments are needed
The choice of artifacts depends on the functions performed, the desired stats, or the squad composition. The Blacksmith's personal set is optimal in most situations, but in the early stages, the Twilight Reach Eagle or the Long-Lived Apprentice are quite suitable.

Recommended Stats
The following key parameters are a priority:
| Head | HP (fixed) |
| Hands | Attack Power (fixed) |
| Body | Crit. chance = crit. damage |
| Boots | Speed |
| Planar Sphere | HP > Fire Bonus |
| Link Rope | Energy Restore (Support) or HP (Damage) |
In the lower stats the following are desirable:
HP > Speed > Crit > Defense/Stat Resistance
Final stat values before entering combat:
- HP: 6 units and higher.
- CRIT Rate: 80%.
- CRIT DMG: 120% and more.
- effect hit rate: 39% (weapon condition "Lies Flying on the Wind") or 67% (cones "Determination Glitters Like Pearls of Sweat", "Adventures in the Bathhouse");
- speed: 141 units - guaranteed 2 turns during the enhanced state/zone (minimally — 134 units). With a 100% turn advancement, it can reach 120–128 units.
It's important: The lower the speed, the more critical the timely use of boosting skills is. Therefore, it's important to time the activation of effects and the order of actions.
Mortenax Blade's Squad Guide in XSR
In a team, Mortenax Blade serves as a debuffer, tank, and damage dealer. Thanks to his versatile nerfs and unique skills, he's useful in a variety of scenarios. For example, he's ideal for groups that deal damage over time or damage.
The "Forged Heart" trait enhances superpowers when other followers of the Void are present, making it ideal for pairing with heroes like Emanator Acheron. It also interacts with units from the bonus attack, but the full synergy only unlocks at E2.
Which characters are suitable?
The hero isn't tied to specific builds and will be a reliable debuffer for damage dealers who require a direct damage boost. At the same time, certain units synergize particularly effectively with the Stellaron Hunter's mechanics:
| Character | Features |
![]() |
She requires representatives of the Path of Nothingness to fully utilize the "Abyss" effect and quickly accumulate charges of "Severed Dream." A swordsman meets all the requirements and will also enhance the girl's superpower—her main skill. |
![]() |
The characters mutually buff and complement each other's mechanics: together, they reduce enemy defense by up to 70% and increase the team's damage. Furthermore, the detective's regular attacks charge the Hunter talent, causing it to constantly deal area-of-effect damage with bonus attacks. |
![]() |
The heroine deals damage with her bonus attack and similarly relies on her teammates to consistently land attacks to gain Winged Beast charges. She's typically placed as the third damage dealer in a group with Ashvale. |
![]() |
The best support, as she actively attacks enemies, building stacks for her talent, and applies universal buffs. She can also equip the "Dance! Dance! Dance!" cone for additional movement. |
| Similar in functionality to Tribby, but more focused on single targets. It also reduces damage dealt by enemies with a skill, providing greater survivability. | |
![]() |
She provides healing and increases HP, which is valuable for a swordsman who relies on this stat. At the same time, the demigoddess deals damage, making her the most optimal healer in a group. |
![]() |
Another good option for a healer, thanks to its area-of-effect bonus attack. The "Foggy" status, which increases penetration damage, is also useful in some builds. |
![]() |
A free healer will be a viable alternative if Hyacin or Linsha are unavailable. The main advantage of the trainee judge is a third-party method of generating VE, which will help charge the superpower faster. |

Leveling
Materials for maxing out the Blade of Nothingness:
How Mortenax Blade's skills work

The swordsman's abilities combine various mechanics:
- Applying debuffs while the ultimate's area is active;
- inflicting damage in an enhanced form of a superpower, including a bonus attack;
- taking on enemy attacks.
When using enhanced skills, the hero consumes some of their own health. However, while the ultimate is active, they cannot die, ensuring high survivability coupled with HP scaling.
Active skills
During combat, the Stellaron Hunter uses the following skills:
- technique - at the beginning of the battle, it casts a "Taunt" on the opponents, which attracts their attacks;
- normal and enhanced b/a - attacks one mob and applies "Taunt" again;
- Skill - Spends health to deal damage to all targets. Finally, performs 4 hits, targeting one random enemy;
- Superpower - a primary skill that weakens enemies and activates an enhanced state with increased stats.
- Enhanced Ultimate - Multiple area damage.
Immediately attacks enemies within a certain radius. Upon entering combat, inflicts Taunt on targets for 1 turn and reduces damage taken by 90% for 2 actions.
Deals fire damage equal to 25-50% of max HP to one enemy and inflicts the Taunt status on them for 1 turn.
Deals fire damage equal to 50-100% of max HP to the target and inflicts the Taunt status for 1 turn.
Consumes health equal to 10% of max HP and deals fire damage to all enemies equal to 36-72% of max HP. Additionally, performs 4 strikes, dealing 12-24% of max HP as fire damage to one random mob.
If the current HP is insufficient, it is reduced to 1 unit. This skill does not consume HP. The ability cannot be used when the unit is not in the "Immeasurable Rage" state or when the current HP is less than or equal to 1.
Applies the "Fiery Shackles" status to all enemies for 2 turns:
- protection is reduced by 20-30%;
- Damage taken increases by 30-50%.
Then consumes health equal to 20% of Max HP to create a zone and enter the "Raging Fury" state. In this state:
- Critical chance increases by 20%;
- Critical damage increases by 30-60%;
- Skill and enhanced ultimate unlocked.
When receiving a fatal blow, the character does not die, but dispels the zone, exits Immeasurable Rage, and restores half of their max HP.
While the mode is active, a timer appears on the action panel with a fixed rate of 70 units. At the start of the countdown, the hero exits Immeasurable Fury and the zone dissipates.
If the current health is insufficient, it is reduced to 1 unit. The unit cannot activate the skill outside of the boosted state.
Deals fire damage to all enemy targets equal to 210-350% of their max HP.
Passive ability
The passive allows you to perform bonus hits when receiving frequent attacks from allies.
While the zone is active, each ally's attack inflicts the "Fiery Bonds" status on the enemy, and the swordsman gains one charge. If nine charges are accumulated, they consume them, restore 15-25 energy, and use the skill again. This is considered a bonus attack.
Skill leveling order
Super Ability > Talent = Skill > Basic Attack
First, it's worth pumping up ultimate, since it affects debuffs and increases K/U during the zone's duration, and the enhanced version deals a lot of area damage. It is then recommended to gradually increase the levels talentto get more energy from the charges, and of the skill, which is an additional source of damage. The basic attack is less of a priority, but is still sometimes used in rotation.
Traces
Stellaron Hunter Talent Tree:
- Ascension Level 2 - A Hundred Temperings of BonesYou can accumulate up to 80 units of energy beyond the limit. After the ultimate is activated, the excess is reset and the same amount is replenished. Upon entering battle or dispelling the zone, if the bar is less than 75% full, it is instantly restored to 75%. When the ultimate is charged, all negative effects are removed from the swordsman.
- Ascension Level 4 - A Thousand Forges of the SoulWhile the zone is active, the chance of being attacked increases, damage taken is reduced by 50%, and incoming healing is increased by 50%. Taking a hit inflicts the "Fiery Bonds" status on the enemy, granting the hero 1 charge.
- Ascension Level 6 - Tempered HeartWhile the zone is active, damage dealt by allies is increased by 50%. If other followers of the Void are in the group, each character's ultimate is increased by 75%. If the requirement is not met, the unit's own damage is increased by 75%.
After unlocking all branches, the bonus to characteristics will be:
| HP | CRIT Rate | Fire bonus |
| 10 % | 12 % | 22,4 % |
Eidolons
The best Fire Blade Eidolons are E1 и E2:
- 1 — Reduces enemy resistance to all elements and delays the Super Ability timer. This gives the hero another versatile source of debuffs and the ability to remain in Power Form for longer.
- 2 — Counts ultimates as bonus attacks and enhances this type of attack, simultaneously increasing the talent's charge limit. Constancy is useful not only for characters with similar mechanics but also for any team due to the damage boost.
If you're planning to invest in the Stellaron Hunter, E2 will be the optimal "stopping point": it provides a significant efficiency boost without excessive costs. The other levels are also useful (especially E6), but don't justify the required amount of currency.
| E1 | Enemy resistance to all elemental types is reduced by 20% in the area. Using the talent's ability delays the countdown of "Immeasurable Fury" by 15%. |
| E2 | When an ally uses their ultimate, it's considered a bonus attack. Damage from this type of attack dealt by teammates is increased by 75%. The maximum charge limit for this talent increases to 7. |
| E3 |
|
| E4 | The final trace increases damage dealt by allies by an additional 50%. |
| E5 |
|
| E6 | While the zone is active, each time a character takes damage or loses health, one charge is granted. The buff can be reactivated at the end of any target's turn. The multiplier for the enhanced superpower is increased by 150% of the initial value. |
How to play as Mortenax Blade
Regardless of the role, Blade's (Netherness) rotation revolves around constantly using his ultimate to enter the buffed state of Immense Fury and create a zone within which to spread out debuffs.
Given the importance of the ultimate, a steady supply of energy is key to a successful fight. It can be gained in the following ways:
- The talent grants special charges from allied attacks - upon reaching 9 stacks, 25 units are restored (level 10) and a skill is automatically applied, considered a bonus hit.
- Active skills are skill and basic attack.
- Receiving incoming damage from enemies.
- Third party sources (character, cone and/or equipment buffs).
The high cost of the superpower is partly offset by the trace mechanics A Hundred Temperings of Bones: excess energy accumulates and is transferred, and at the beginning of the battle or when the zone dissipates, the scale is restored to 120 units if less than 75% was filled.
The most important thing is to manage the ultimate wisely, taking into account the team composition, the behavior of the enemies and the mode being played (for example, in the “Hall of Oblivion” the zone timer is reset when changing waves). Recommended sequence of actions:
- Before combat, use a technique to apply Taunt to enemies. Since this is an offensive ability, activate your support abilities first.
- The "Hundred Tempered Bones" effect will fill the gauge to 75% (120 units). However, the skill will be blocked, so stick to the strategy of getting hit by enemy attacks (the technique will help with this) and performing counterattacks.
- Use your first ultimate when ready or you can hold on, so that another damage dealer can activate their primary skill while buffed. Note that stacking is only possible up to 80 units above the limit (total: 240 units).
- When activating the ultimate, the hero consumes health, creates a zone, and transforms into a special form. A countdown appears on the action panel at a fixed speed of 70 units. The talent will also begin to function, accordingly. try to attack with your allies more often, to accumulate charges.
- In the future, prioritize area-of-effect damage. However, when HP is too low or there's no way to heal, it's best to use a basic attack—the area-of-effect damage will disappear if HP drops to 0 (the skill is blocked at 1 HP).
- Upon receiving an enhanced superpower take into account the situation on the battlefield и order of moves: how soon the timer will end, how many enemies are currently in the arena, when the next action of the hero/allies will be, and so on.

For example, if there are 1-2 turns left before the end of the countdown, and the situation is such that the swordsman will not be able to quickly return to the state, it makes sense to save the ultimate.
Is the character worth getting?

Mortenax Blade is considered a versatile hero, filling a variety of roles (from support to main damage dealer) and fitting well into any group. His debuffs increase his pure damage output, making him useful regardless of the squad type or teammate specialization. His ability to absorb enemy attacks allows him to play as a tank instead of a shielder/healer.
Works best when paired with damage dealers. Path of Nihility (Tempered Heart trace) and benefits from units using bonus attacks (In the zone, allied strikes accumulate charges, although the b/a boost only unlocks at E2). The Stellaron Hunter's mechanics harmonize perfectly with Emanator Acheron и Detective AshvaleAccordingly, with the presence of these heroes, he will be especially in demand.
The basis of the gameplay — is a superpower: it transforms the character into an enhanced form and inflicts key negative status effects, such as decreased defense and increased damage taken. The first hidden passive, "Hundred Tempered Bones," helps with energy, allowing for the potential for multiple uses of the ultimate. However, to achieve maximum effectiveness, careful consideration of combat and squad composition remains essential.
Which is better: E1 or signature?
Although the signal offers VE and a health boost, the first const is often a priorityThe reduction in resistance to all elements and the increased duration of the zone are a powerful improvement for the entire party. Additionally, this brings the Eidolon closer to E2, which is considered one of the best Eidolons.
There are plenty of suitable alternatives among Light Cones (especially for sub-damage dealers/supports), so a signature weapon isn't strictly necessary. However, if you want to simplify your build as much as possible, getting a "card" might be more practical, especially since its drop rate is higher—75/25.

Will the content be passable or not?
I'm considering Darkness as a replacement for Welt, but if I knock her out, then in the next reruns I'll try to get a better healer for more healing, but otherwise I'm playing a 999 wolf squad.
A mishmash of control, penetration, and debuffs. It won't cover properly, as there are two squads: Welt + Monterax and Ruan Mei + Gallagher. Darkness is a completely useless character in this pack.
For an Acheron pack, Tribby's the best support. Hyacin's best healer. However, in the Anomaly Arbitration, no sustainer except Fu Xuan and Bailu, with whom I could easily close at 2 stars, pulled it off. Acheron dies against everyone else. I haven't tested it with Natasha. She's not maxed out yet.
I'm correcting myself. Otherwise, it looked like I'd crossed Hyacin off the list of sustainers who carried the Arbitration. So, Hyacin, Fu Xuan, and Bailu. Listed in order of awesomeness.
Is the squad available for Mortex Blade: Tribby, Darkness, Blade, Hyacinth?
Quite a good squad.
Welt, with his similar mechanics, was forgotten, especially since he'll get a bonus from Tempered Heart. Moreover, both he and Ashvale will receive the full range of BU bonuses.
And Locha will allow Monterax to spam his ult and skill painlessly, while calmly pumping up his damage stats.
It turns out that I understood correctly that the best set is HP and CU, which can be knocked out of stats, better than the ult modifier and bonuses that cannot be obtained in the usual way.
HP is his primary stat, which is used to calculate damage. It's also geared toward damage control and its increase.
And so he is similar to Welt, he provides himself with the necessary nerfs, so not so much ults as any sets to increase KU from nerfs and decrease defense.
HP is the primary stat that determines his damage. CR is his primary damage modifier. BU is more easily boosted by party members like Ashvale and Zaryanka.
