How to start the DLC

The add-on's storyline opens immediately after you start the quest. "With pen and sword", when Henry first visits Kutná Hora. The first mission is given by Petr Pisetsky: at the beginning of the Kutná Hora story, you'll find a man in Suchdol, and after completing the game, you'll be able to find him in the region's capital.

Henry will spend the entire DLC within the temple grounds, unable to leave. Before embarking on this series of quests, it's recommended to be well prepared:

  • Get rid of all the stolen goods, the knight will be searched at the entrance.
  • Take more saving schnapps, 10 pieces will be more than enough.
  • If you wish, stock up on 15-20 lockpicks—some chests can only be opened by lockpicking. By completing skill checks and carefully exploring the areas, you can find keys to only a few doors and chests.
  • Level up your thievery skill and wear outfits with high charisma and stealth stats—you'll need to present yourself well at the start, and as the story progresses, a silent stealth kit will come in handy.
  • Brew some potions for regeneration, increasing stat points, and grab a few bandages.

How to complete all the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The add-on includes 11 quests, seven of which are main ones, and the remaining four are optional assignments that reveal the monastery's history a little deeper and allow you to obtain the "Benefactor" trophy.

royal doctor

In the introductory quest, you'll meet Albicus of Unichov and prove your combat prowess by dealing with some insolent patients. Whether you drive them away through diplomacy or force, the healer will be pleased.

At the end of the short quest, choose a line "It's time to go" to proceed to the main part of the DLC. If you don't have time to grab everything you need, you can skip the trip and spend some time preparing.

Anamnesis

In the first main quest "Anamnesis" Albicus and Henry arrive at Sedlec Monastery, hoping to gain an audience with King Wenceslas. Their plans are thwarted by the burgeoning Black Death epidemic, and the local abbot agrees to arrange a meeting between the physician and the ruler if the former helps cure the affliction.

During the mission, you'll have the opportunity to carefully explore the new location and begin an investigation, discovering increasingly suspicious clues each time. Gradually, the bodyguard will begin to suspect that the illness is the result of someone's malicious intent.

Devilish pain

"Devil's Pain" is a short side quest for Madla. The girl suffers from an inflammation, but no one is willing to help her due to their lack of experience in treating "women's" ailments. You'll first encounter her at the infirmary exit; later, you'll find her near Zdenek. This quest must be completed before the end of "Amnesis."

  1. Ask Benedict why he brushed Madla off.
  2. Approach Albicus and ask him what he thinks about the ailment. The healer will describe the cause of the pain in detail.
  3. If you'd like, you can visit the library and borrow a book on lower tract inflammation. They'll recommend a decoction similar to the one Albicus recommended.

Next you will need to make it in the infirmary anti-inflammatory drugTo make it, you'll first need to gather nettles, two valerian stems, and one ginger root. You'll find everything you need in the flower garden to the south of the monastery. Head to the alchemy stand and follow the recipe:

  1. Pour water into the cauldron and add a handful of crushed nettles. Boil the mixture for one turn of the clock, fanning the fire with bellows.
  2. Add two pinches of valerian to the pot and place it on the fire. Wait for two turns.
  3. Grind the ginger in a mortar and add it to the decoction, then pour the resulting potion into a bottle.

All that remains is to take the prepared medicine to the girl.

Silent witnesses

All the clues he finds lead the bodyguard to the crypt beneath the church—its restoration is clearly a cover for someone's machinations. From now on, a curfew is in effect on the church grounds, requiring extra caution.

Continue your investigation and venture into the crypt, defying the abbot's orders. More information can be gleaned from several teams of workers working at the temple. The quest's completion, including all side objectives, is described in separate article.

Prevention

Materials for a plague mask in a monastery

Henry will have to venture into the crypt many more times, risking contracting the same plague as his deceased brothers. To avoid this threat, it's recommended to craft a special plague mask:

  1. Make your way into the church and take the rope lying near the entrance to the crypt.
  2. Exit through the northern doors to reach the workers' settlement. Examine the tent by the wall and crack the chest to find some leather.
  3. Visit the library, walk to the far corner, and look at the book on the desk. This will reveal the recipe for an essential oil.

Now head to the flower garden and gather all the necessary herbs: sage, mint, chamomile, and valerian. Return to the infirmary at the alchemy table and prepare the potion:

  1. Pour oil into the cauldron and add three handfuls of chamomile. Boil the contents for three turns.
  2. Chop one pinch of sage, then add it to the pot. Boil for one turn.
  3. Grind one handful of valerian and throw it into the container, then pour the mixture into the bottle.

Once you have all the necessary materials, you will be able to create a plague hood.

Premonition of evil

During the quest "Prevention," you'll have the opportunity to protect not only yourself but also the librarian Crispin, who often helps Henry. After talking to him, promise to help him protect himself from the disease.

Then head to the monastery's flower garden, located to the east and southeast of the infirmary. Narvite two pieces of mint and sage each and return to the Temple of Knowledge to hand over the herbs. You can also hand over the materials immediately if you stocked up on them earlier.

Our daily bread

With the onset of the epidemic, the infirmary began experiencing food shortages. After speaking with Zachariah, go to Denek and offer your assistance. Visit the cellarer and find out what to do about the food shortage:

  1. Head to the monastery's inner courtyard. Approach the tree in the center, being wary of the guards, and knock down the nestTake everything you find from there, including the cellarer's glasses.
  2. Make your way into the library and explore the shelves in the central aisle. Examine the first cabinet on the right: Henry is interested in a book there. Crayfish, the poor man's salmon On the bottom shelf. Take the reading material and read it.
  3. After learning more about crayfish, catch some for the chef. Explore all three ponds in the western part of the area. If you die from the crayfish, you'll unlock the "Ostraconophobia" achievement.

Now return to the cellarer, give him the glasses and other lost items, and share the crayfish. Once you've received some food, take it to Denek.

If you don't want to complete all the objectives, you can pickpocket the cook's supplies.

Last wish

Another search order is issued monk Athanash, who lives in the residential building above the library. After speaking with him, you'll receive a request to find Brother Konstantin.

In the northern part of the garden, you'll find Konstantin. If you haven't spoken to Atanash yet, you'll need to go to him and deliver the message. Otherwise, an option will appear. persuade the man to come back to the monastery, passing a very difficult persuasion check. If you successfully complete the dialogue with Konstantin, you'll immediately complete the quest.

If you failed the skill check or skipped the conversation with Atanas and went straight to the garden, you'll need to return to the cell and tell the man that his brother isn't coming. Before that, you can talk to the herbalist and find out the truth.

Seek and find

Within the monastery walls, a legend has long lingered about Boleslav Bavor, who was buried with a holy relic. The abbot and brothers are eager to retrieve the artifact, as are the mercenaries eager for profit. The quest "Seek and you will find" Henry must find out where the lord's body is actually buried by exploring the secret rooms of the crypt.

And you will not turn to dust

The fire that broke out seems suspicious: perhaps someone was simply trying to create a distraction or cover their tracks. Henry is tasked with examining the bodies and inspecting the crime scene to determine what happened. After conducting an inquiry and carefully examining the surrounding area, the bodyguard will uncover the truth. A detailed investigation into the fire can be found in separate article.

day of reckoning

The last quest of the add-on Payback Hour The investigation comes to an end. The villain not only concealed the outbreak of the epidemic, throwing a spanner in the works for Albicus, but also decided to commit murder. Devil's Pain—you can't give her the stomach medicine right away in dialogue without investigating, it cancels the quest. He didn't even register with me.
To destroy a nest, you need to throw a G-rock while stealthed. They showed this once in the prologue, but I don't need that option. I forgot you could do that.
