Time travel and the multiverse become the new reality for movies Marvel. The next supervillain will continue the work of Thanos, seeking to rule entire eras in different worlds and civilizations.
Attention! Spoilers for Loki
In the latest episode of the solo project Loki, the main character (Thoma Hiddleston) and his companion Sylvia (Sophie Di Martino) have come to the point of the end of all time. It begins an unknown and indefinite chronology.
The tricksters manage to find out that a certain person with a nickname that, according to the canon, corresponds to Kang the conqueror, is in control of temporal changes and temporal anomalies. The role of this particular character will be played by Jonathan Majors.
In the series, a man from the citadel of time will tell the Asgardians that he was a scientist in the XXXI century, where he discovered parallel universes for his world. However, not in all dimensions people were friendly and ready for contact with foreigners, which provoked fierce wars.
To protect the multiverse from what is happening, Kang the Conqueror (one of his versions presented in the series), created a temporal police that monitors changes and does not allow chronological gaps. The Stranger suggests that Loki and Sylvia take control of Temporal Change to keep the timeline organized, or literally destroy time to start new power wars in the multiverse.
Sylvia likes chaos, and therefore her choice will provoke a variety of conflicts, some of which will have to be resolved by Spider-Man (perhaps his different versions), Doctor Strange and other heroes of the human world. Kang the Conqueror will replace Thanos in the 4th phase of Marvel, becoming its main antagonist.
The first visible change is the statue of Kang that appeared in place of the Keepers of Time in the office of the Temporal Police (the end of the Loki series). It is expected that the Conqueror of Worlds himself will be fully featured in Ant-Man's third solo album.
In the world Kang's name is Nathaniel Richards. Having received a time machine at his disposal, this man from the XXXI century literally learned to raid different worlds and eras in order to rob or enslave them. For example, there is a version in which he ruled Ancient Egypt for several decades as the god Pharaoh Rama-Tat. How exactly he will appear in the world of Marvel, we have to find out from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania (2023), where the role of Kang is already assigned to Jonathan Majors.
