The first two-gun premium tank - Object 703 Option II. The developers have already announced the 9th IS-3-II and 10rd ST-II levels of pumped equipment, and this premium will be released first, it is from him that you can start acquaintance with the new twin gun mechanics.
TTX Object 703 II
So far, there are no final figures, after the supertest the characteristics have changed and now we will present the current data with which Ob. 703 II went to open testing.
Firepower
The tank is equipped with a 122 mm gun with a one-time damage of 390 units and armor penetration of the base (sub-caliber) projectile of 221 mm. As a special projectile, a cumulative with 270 mm of penetration. In this regard, the tank completely repeats IS-3 with M3.
The presence of two guns negatively affects some of the characteristics that are the worst among Soviet heavy tanks:
- turret traverse speed 20,06° - very slow;
- vertical guidance angles -5…+18° will add difficulties when playing from the terrain;
- accuracy 0,42 (same for About. 252U "Defender");
- mixing time 3,36, which is slightly longer than that of the pumped IS-3.
The reload time of one gun is 12,46 seconds, and the potential damage per minute is 1877 units. But this value is very relative, because it depends on how to use the two tools:
- cyclic firing;
- sequential shooting means firing from each gun in turn with a break between shots of 5 seconds. (time to change tools);
- doublet is the most interesting option, the main feature of this tank is the simultaneous firing of two guns, after which reloading is blocked for 7 seconds and then sequential loading begins.

Sometimes in a random house you can still meet Object 703 II (100). This is a variant of the tank from the second integration of the test, which had 122 mm guns replaced with 100 mm guns.

Vitality
The margin of safety is 1500 units. Armor VLD 140 mm, but the main distinguishing feature of the tank was the absence of the famous Soviet "pike nose", so it will not be pierced in the "cheeks", and the reduction reaches 280 mm. But the NLD is nominally 90 mm, so absolutely everyone will pierce. The side of the tank is 100 mm each, while there is additional protection in the form of screens. Feed 60 mm.
The armor of the tower in the frontal projection is rather weak 220 mm, while the roof sticks out and two turrets on top. From the sides, the tower is also not impressive, only 120 mm. In general, you can only tank at the top of the list, in other cases you will have to rely only on a wide gun mantlet.
Other indicators
The mass of the vehicle is 60 tons - only the more armored KV-4 and KV-5 are heavier than it. A small specific power of 12,5 hp/t allows you to accelerate to 38 km/h forward and 15 km/h rear. Chassis slew rate 27,12°. The review is typical for Soviet heavyweights of this level of 350 meters.
Advantages and disadvantages
Based on the performance characteristics of the tank Object 703 Option II, we can highlight its strengths and weaknesses.
Advantages:
- various options for firing at the expense of two guns;
- a doublet can give out a large one-time damage;
- good frontal booking;
- wide gun mantlet;
- low silhouette.
Disadvantages:
- long mixing;
- poor accuracy;
- after a double shot, the tank remains defenseless for a long time;
- mediocre turret armor;
- uncomfortable UVN;
- weak dynamics;
- low turret traverse speed;
- low review.
Crew
The crew of the Object 703 II initially consisted of 5 people at the supertest stage (two loaders), but the tank entered the open test with 4 tankers: commander, gunner, driver and loader.
Results
Object 703 Variant II captivates with high firepower, with proper use of two guns, the tank will be able to emerge victorious from many duels. But it is problematic to implement damage due to poor stabilization, and even some TTs can spin it, they don’t say anything about ST and LT anymore.
Given the number of weaknesses in technology, not everyone will be able to play it effectively. The tank is demanding on the player's skills, knowledge of the features and vulnerable areas of other vehicles. It is necessary to master the peculiarities of the mechanics of twin guns in order to plan your actions in battle.
