В Wuthering Waves The October 2.7 update will not only conclude the Rinascita chapter but also serve as a prologue for the upcoming storyline. Two legendary characters are also expected to appear: Galbrena and Qiuyuan. The huntress will be a main character in the main story, while the samurai will be connected to the next arc.
The update also includes events, locations, and various new features, such as a redesigned interface and simplified hero builds. We'll cover all the patch's content and features in more detail in this article.
Wuthering Waves 2.7 release date
The release of update 2.7 in WoW is scheduled for 9 2025 October, thePre-downloads will become available approximately two days before its release (October 7-8). Once the maintenance is complete, all players will receive 600 Astrits.
What will be the banners
This version will add new five-star units: Galbrena and Qiuyuan. However, as usual, there will be some reruns.
The first phase
Date: October 9 – October 30, 2025
At the beginning of the patch, players will be greeted by Galbrena (Fusion, pistols) with his signature weapon, Lux & Umbra.
A rerun is expected along with the huntress. Loupes (Fusion, Two-Handed Sword) and her claymore, Wildfire Mark.
Epic representatives in both banners:
- Sanhua (Glacio, one-handed sword);
- Mortefi (Fusion, pistols);
- Lumi (Electro, two-handed weapon).
The second phase
Date: October 30 – November 20, 2025
The main character of the second phase is Quyuan (Aero, one-handed sword)Its signature weapon is Emerald Sentence.
In addition to the samurai, rerun will become available Zani (Spectro, gloves) along with her personal weapon, Blazing Justice.
Among the characters of four-star rarity:
- Yang Yang (Aero, one-handed sword);
- Taoqi (Havok, two-handed weapon);
- Danjin (Havok, one-handed sword).
New content
Patch 2.7 is story-driven, so most of the content is related to the story and locations where key events take place:
- New areas: Three Heroes Crest and Journeying Paradise.

- The prologue quest with Qiuyuan is "A Stranger in a Strange Land".

Version Events
Since the finale of Rinascita promises to be action-packed, the developers decided to limit the content to entertaining mini-games and login rewards.
- "Lament Recon: Solaris Soldier" — the main event, inspired by "Vampire Survivors" (a mix of roguelike and shoot-em-up). Players must power up pre-given characters and progress through maps, fending off enemies.
- "Freeze Frame: Action Highlights" — a photo event where you take photos of heroes using skills (a limited number of resonators are provided). Various filters and a time-stopping feature are available.
- "Septimont Weather Forecast" — an event with parkour elements. You need to navigate platforms and reach the finish line within a certain time.
- "Lollo Campaign: Ice Savior" — an event that allows you to collect daily rewards by spinning the roulette wheel using a special currency. This currency is earned by logging into the game, spending Wave Plates, and completing dailies.
- Gifts of Approaching Dawn и Gifts of Ink Song — classic login events with rewards in the first and second halves of the update.

New Echo and set
Several Nightmare enemies will appear. They can be farmed without spending energy in a specially designated "Nightmare Nest" area, which will be located in one of the new locations.
Echo of Monsters is collected in the set "Flamewing's Shadow», considered Galbrena's signature set. The set buffs the critical chance of heavy attacks and Echo skills. If both buffs are active, it also provides a bonus to Fusion damage.
Other game improvements
Differences in changes related to gameplay optimization:
- Character Leveling Planner, which displays the required development materials and their exact quantities. For convenience, there's also a feature that automatically navigates to the farming location.
- Updated interface in the events menuThe display of icons for limited and permanent events has been changed, and updated battle modes have been moved to a separate tab.
- Quick access to Whimpering Wastes via the map. It's also a convenient place to track your current progress.
- Terminal skins for RoverCurrently, only the Rinascita theme will be available, but other styles will be available later.
- Menu for re-watching the main plotA brief description of the story has been provided, and the same will be added for the secondary quests later.
- Choosing Echo's main stat while levelingNow you don't have to open the "Data Bank" separately to change the main characteristic.
- Gallery with opponentsThis feature will allow you to obtain more information about all the monsters in the game.
- Global Filter will be available on all platforms. Additionally, a mode will be added "Eye Comfort" with more advanced settings.
