ZZZ 3.2 Update: Release Date, Banners, and New Features

The Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 update, “Their Secret Stories”, begins with an investigation into the theft of a large shipment of Lumismelt from Claret of Flint Workshop. The workshop’s heiress will be the first agent of the new Weaponsmith specialty, with unique Wound, Maim, and multi-crit mechanics.

In the second half of the version, Roxy will join her. This Wind Stun agent can pull together both weaker and elite enemies. Nangong Yu and Promeya will also appear alongside the new agents. Beyond the story, Proxies can take part in limited-time events and earn free outfits for the Angels of Delusion.

When Does Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 Release?

ZZZ 3.2 is scheduled for release on September 9, 2026. Scheduled maintenance will begin on all servers 5 hours before the update goes live, with 300 Polychromes sent as compensation.

Upcoming Banners

Two agents from the Flint Workshop faction are scheduled to debut in this version, bringing several new mechanics:

• Claret is the workshop’s heiress and belongs to the new Weaponsmith specialty. Agents in this specialty excel at both offense and defense: they use unique moves to hold enemies back, while their abilities apply special statuses and can score critical hits twice.
• Roxy is a Wind Stun agent who excels at pulling together weaker and elite enemies.

The livestream also confirmed that Nangong and Promeya will return in Signal Searches.

First Half

Event dates: from September 9 to 30

The following Signal Searches are planned for the first phase:

• Claret (Weaponsmith, Electric) and the “Scarlet Thirst” W-Engine;
• Nangong Yu (Stun, Ether) and the “Neon Delusion” W-Engine.

Second Half

Dates: September 30–October 20

The following limited-time banners are expected in the second half:

• Roxy (Stun, Wind) and the “Crimson Coffin” W-Engine;
• Promeya (Anomaly, Ice) and the “Icy New Moon” W-Engine.

New Content

The “Their Secret Stories” chapter centers on a large shipment of Lumismelt stolen from Claret. Phoenix will appear in the story for the first time, and Lindverna will wear a new outfit.

Most other activities in this version will be limited-time events and additions to existing modes.

W-Engines

The Weaponsmith specialty will arrive with three affordable W-Engines, alongside two signature W-Engines for the new agents:

• Scarlet Thirst (S, Weaponsmith) — provides a large Defense and CRIT Rate boost. After a skill or Maim activation, it increases Electric damage and Electric Severing damage.
• Crimson Coffin (S, Stun) — increases Energy Regeneration and CRIT Rate. It reduces enemies’ Wind resistance and increases allies’ damage.
• Lucky Kitty (A, Weaponsmith) — provides several Defense buffs.
• Bloodmaking Casket (A, Weaponsmith) — a Battle Pass W-Engine. It increases CRIT Rate and boosts damage in proportion to that stat.
• Lunar Phase: Crescent (B, Weaponsmith) — increases Defense and provides a damage buff.

New Outfits

By participating in events during updates 3.2 and 3.3, players can get free outfits for the Angels of Delusion: Sunna’s “Delusion at Work,” Aria’s “Cuteness Loading,” and Nangong Yu’s “Heartfelt Support.”

The limited-time “Pinball Knight” event will reward Proxies with witch hat accessories. Headwear will also be available for participating in the new season of “Labyrinth Enigma.”

Weaponsmith Specialty

Weaponsmiths specialize in both defense and offense, with a unique set of moves and mechanics.

• Instead of filling an Anomaly buildup gauge, they build up stacks of Wounds on enemies. Certain moves consume those stacks to deal additional Maim damage.
• In addition to ordinary critical hits, these agents can land multi-crits when their CRIT Rate exceeds 100%. The damage depends on Severing damage rather than CRIT DMG.
• Their unique “Counterattack Assist” skill lets them block an enemy attack and stun the enemy briefly.

Weaponsmiths use Sharpness instead of Energy, much as Rupture agents consume Adrenaline.

Upcoming Events

The livestream showed these limited-time combat and recreational activities:

• “New Shipment” and “En-Notes in Hand” — the usual login events offering 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and Boopons.
• “Surprise Session” — a two-week login event that awards a token exchangeable for one Angels of Delusion outfit.
• “Labyrinth Enigma: Operation Donut 2” — the second season of an extraction event, with Pirois upgrades as rewards.
• “Pinball Knight” — a pinball-style arcade game. Completing every level lets players choose one free Angels of Delusion outfit.
• “Grow, Little Round One, Big and Small” — a Tamagotchi-style event.
• “Chasing Shadows” — a rerun of the combat challenge mode at the AIC club.
• “Chronicles of the Lame Crow” — a detective event focused on finding clues and examining leads.

Other New Features

Several improvements and more free rewards for newcomers were also announced.

• Koleda (Stun, Fire) will be added to the “Potential Visions” buff system.
• Hugo (Attack, Ice), Jane (Anomaly, Physical), and Soldier 0 (Attack, Electric) will be added to the “New Proxy Guide.” New and existing players who did not claim a character in version 3.1 can choose one from this list. The offer has no expiration date but can be used only once.
• Perfect Assist will be improved: attacks for which an Evasive Assist is available will also be marked by a yellow flash.
