ZZZ Update 3.0: Release Date, Banners, Locations, and Characters

In the update Zenless Zone Zero 3.0 begins the third story arc of Sky Island, introducing new characters. Rozkelifer is a closed territory, described as the computing machine that powers New Eridu's prosperity. On its bright streets, the Banbu coexist equally with humans, living in an illusory utopia created by Lady Dawn.

The release will mark the addition of a new region with several urban and research zones, a host of activities, and rewards for completing content. The first representatives of Rosekellifer from the Department of Foreign Strategy will appear in banners, and proxies will receive a personal "shield and sword"—Pirois. A major update will also be added to the combat system: the Wind attribute will be introduced, bringing unique mechanics and anomalous status effects.

When will Zenless Zone Zero 3.0 be released?

The patch for ZZZ 3.0 is starting 17 June 2026Pre-loading will become available in the launcher two days before the release, and maintenance will begin six hours before the game's release. After server maintenance, 600 Polychromes will be sent to in-game email as compensation.

Codes from the developers stream

The live broadcast took place 6 June 2026. It showed all the prepared content of the version and promo code:

• BEYONDTHECLOUDS (click) — ×300 polychromes, ×30 dennies, ×000 expert magazines, ×2 amplifier energy modules.

You can exchange the combination for rewards within two days from the end of the broadcast, until June 8, 2026.

What will be the banners

The release of two legendary agents has been officially announced:

• Velina (5⭐️ Anomaly, Wind) — controls a new attribute and functions as a second damage dealer. A good addition to almost any anomalous squad that doesn't rely on Chaos.
• Norma (5⭐️ Intimidation, Fire) — sub-damager and stunner for squads with Attack or Destruction.

Proxies will also receive a free companion, Pyrois (Assault, Ether).

The first phase

Dates: from June 17 to July 8, 2026

The update will open S-rank agent events. Velins (Anomaly, Wind) и Ye Shunguang (Attack, Edge)Among A-rank companions, the chance of receiving will increase Nicole (Support, Ether) и Piper (Anomaly, Physical).

The "Amplification" section will be updated with heroines: from the limited 5⭐ "balls" will appear Precious Coolness (Anomaly) and A Glimpse in the Clouds (Attack). From the epic options - "Treasure Chest" (Support) and "Roaring Car" (Anomaly).

The second phase

Dates: from July 8 to July 28, 2026

In the second half, named events will be replaced by banners of legendary heroines Norms (Intimidation, Fire) и Sanny (Support, Physical)They will be joined by A-ranked Pulchra (Intimidation, Physical) и Ben (Defense, Fire).

The weapon banners will feature signatures of girls: Senior Assistant (Intimidation) and Thoughts in Beat (Support). Epic "guns" will also appear - Scratching post (Intimidation) and "Big Cylinder" (Defense).

Free agent

A combat character will be unlocked in the first chapter of the third season. Pyrois (Attack, Ether)His "ball" and M2 will be awarded for exploring the region. The remaining Eidoses will be added in future patches, so players will be able to unlock the S-rank fighter's mental image without spending any spins.

Characters of the third season

The update teaser showed off new heroes who will be taking part in the story. Most of them will be playable companions, while others will be NPCs. As details about agent specializations and banner sequences become available, we'll be adding information about them in the special article.

New content

In addition to weapons for legendary agents, there will be an introductory story chapter, locations on Lady Dawn's Island, and a completely new attribute.

Continuation of the Main Line

Since Rozkelifer is a restricted area, the proxies will be invited there by the Department of External Strategy. There, they will become acquainted with a large celestial data center, its inhabitants, and encounter anomalies: "singularity leaks" and aberrations. The latter will manifest as Pyrois, a reflection of Weisz and Belle themselves.

The developers promised a comprehensive introduction and detailed introductions to key characters, who will have more screen time. Some time will be devoted to the past, describing the events at the Helios Academy.

Four amplifiers

The update will release three legions, one of which is free, and will add an A-rank ball to replace the signature ball of one of the girls.

• Precious coolness (S, Anomaly) — Grants a bonus to energy recovery and anomaly knowledge. After activating an enhanced special attack, increases damage from Turbulence and Erosion.
• Senior Assistant (S, Intimidation) — Increases critical chance and impulse. The owner's damage ignores fire resistances, and the team receives a general damage bonus.
• Tadam drum (A, Anomaly) — a reward for the main event "Retake with Excellent Grades." Suitable as a replacement for Velina's signature.
• Solar exuvium (S, Attack) - Free Pyrois gun for leveling up Banbunet.

New drive discs

The patch will include two sets of vinyl records:

• Salon of Storms — Increases the owner's knowledge of anomalies by 25 points after using the skill, stacks up to two times, and lasts for 40 seconds. Summoning a wind anomaly buffs the wearer's damage. Two parts provide a +10% bonus to Wind.
• Burning Skies — The bonus only works if the wearer has the Ether attribute: critical damage is increased. When the wearer uses a skill or ultimate, ATK is increased by 10% for 30 seconds.

Replenishment of Banbu

Super Jake is a companion for Rosecalifer characters who restores energy to the heroes. His attacks deal fire damage and generate anomaly.

Sky Island of Rosekelifer

Roselifer consists of a network of floating islands, connected by a railway. The city is full of low-rise buildings, cars, and details reminiscent of British culture.

Patch 3.0 will add approximately five locations: the Data Center, exploration zones in the cavern, and the peaceful Banbastrum district. The latter area will feature minigames and a long-term offering system.

Complete exploration missions and level up Banbunet to obtain Pyrois consts and weapons. This activity is constant and involves exploring locations as Banbu.

Wardrobe replenishment

With Velina's release, the "Shadow of Serenity" skin will be added to the store at a discount. After the patch, the price will increase to the standard 1680 monochromes. New Phaeton skins are awarded free for completing the storyline.

The number of accessories that can be worn by Weisz and Belle in any outfit will be increased. Before Update 3.0, most accessories could only be worn with the Yunkui Mountains School student outfit.

Wind attribute and wind anomaly

The wind produces fundamentally new effects that arise when the "circle" is filled and interacts with other types of anomalies.

• Erosion Activates when the meter is filled. Interrupts the enemy's actions and deals damage.
• Inclusion appears together with Erosion, increases the damage taken by the target from Wind or another attribute for a certain period of time.
• Turbulence Occurs when any attribute interacts with Wind, replacing Chaos. It causes an area explosion and activates an effect similar to Erosion.

What events will there be?

For participating in events, proxies will receive bonus spins for signal search and commemorative items:

• "New delivery" и "N-notes straight into your hands" With cipher copies and phase-specific banbulets. Rewards are given for entry.
• Data Center Repair Plan — a permanent autobattler-style mode with a card system element.
• Simulacra and Annihilation — a new combat mode. Initially, only three bosses with updated mechanics will be added.
• "Retake with an A" — a main event with a reward in the form of an amplifier. A simplified roguelike with a system for leveling up a hero through cards.
• Lame Crow Detective Agency — a text investigation of the events on Rozkelifer.
• "Art is banbu!" - Spend energy and collect rewards every day.
• "Celestial Calculator: Dossier" — long-term filling of character and NPC cards upon acquaintance.
• "Union of Blades in the Shadows" — battles in squads of two heroes with the accumulation of buffs and the transfer of turns in battle.
• "Good morning, Rosekelifer." - helping the Banbu adapt to the society of Sky Island.
• Double rewards event for Ascension or Drive Disc farming.

Other innovations

Simplification of gameplay, optimization, and gifts for players:

• After the release, proxy versions will receive 600 polychromes, and on the game's birthday on July 4th, another 1000.
• Simplify gear selection by highlighting key stats for agents.
• We'll shorten the descriptions of some characters' skills and add windows explaining in-game terms for existing statuses and features.
• Videos will appear to make it easier to familiarize yourself with the content.
