
Orcish Crypt - a secret burial place of orcs in Gothic 1 remake, where the Idol Lukor traveled after the failed grand summoning ceremony, taking with him the unitor the hero had acquired. With the help of the acolyte Talas, find the passage to the sinister dungeon and help the surviving guru break through to the heart of the memorial. Be prepared to face orc warriors guarding the ancestors' peace and puzzles that must be solved to open the inner doors.
Where is the Orcish Crypt?
The entrance to the Orc Crypt can be found behind a cliff west of the Swamp Camp. To reach it, exit the cultist settlement and reach the first intersection with a road sign.
From the sign, turn left and follow the path that leads into the rocks. It will soon lead to a stone bridge with curved columns. Beyond it lies the entrance to the tomb, closed by a skull-shaped stone gate.
Before accepting the quest of the same name, you'll be able to explore the dungeon and fight orcs. However, the main part of it will only unlock once you reach the bridge with Talas.
Walkthrough of the "Orcish Crypt" quest in Gothic 1 Remake
After the failed ceremony, speak with Kor Angar and find out where Lukor ran off to. The templar will tell you that the guru headed to the orc graveyard at the call of the Sleeper. Acolyte Talas can show you the way. Give chase and make your way through the orc-infested graves to the heart of the memorial.
Talk to Novice Talas
Talas is standing in the temple courtyard, under a canopy by the wall, to the right of the entrance to Y'berion's chambers. Speak with him and tell him that Kor Angar ordered you to escort him to the orc graveyard.

Follow the cultist - he will lead you to the stone bridge and return to the camp.
Orcs and Bloodhounds impervious to fire, so if you've been leveling up through fire magic, it's worth switching to weapons for the duration of the quest. You'll soon meet Lukor, who will help you clear the dungeon.
Open the entrance to the Orcish Crypt
On the opposite side of the bridge, you'll have to fight a Bloodhound, a large pack of Biters, and two Orc Scouts. Once you've dealt with them, proceed to the gate shaped like an Orc skull. To open it, shoot the round supports above the stone weights on the left and right.
If you don't have a firearm with you, there's a short bow and some arrows next to the skeleton opposite the entrance.
Where to find the Idol of Lukor

The idol awaits in the third large hall after the entrance, and to reach it, you'll have to fight your way through aggressive orcs. After passing the first corridor, you'll find yourself in a huge chamber with burial niches. Here you'll encounter two scouts—defeat them to proceed.
Some niches have no bars, and mummies can be searched within them. They contain burial amulets and sometimes valuable loot.
Head to the next room where three more warriors are waiting.

From here, run along the winding stone corridor to the guru, who will immediately engage in combat with the orcs. When there are no enemies left, speak with the cultist. Exhaust all dialogue options until Lukor offers to explore the tunnels. From now on, he will accompany the hero and assist in the fight.
The first conversation with the cultist will update the quest objective and bring 750 experience points.
Assemble the two halves of the key
From the room where you encountered the Idol, exit through the left exit. Follow the corridor to the end and you'll find yourself in a tomb containing an orc and the body of a templar.
After defeating an enemy, examine the fallen ally and take it from his inventory half a keyAfter taking the item, the hero will approach Lukor and hand it over. In this room, you can also pick up a healing extract, Crusch Varrok, and a Rider's Bow.
Return to the previous room and take the second path. The stairs will lead down to a fork in the path. Deal with the enemies and take the right passage.
Run along it to the end, where a lone enemy is patrolling. In the burial chamber next to him are two mummies, and one of them contains essence of power, permanently adding +1 to the characteristic.
Orcish lever, which is useful for opening the iron gate, is at the end of this corridor. Go a little further and pick it up from the floor next to a human corpse.
With the find in your inventory, return to the beginning of the corridor and enter the room with the fork. The desired passage is located directly behind the column and leads to a winding corridor with stone walls.
Once you've reached the end, Lukor will tell you to inspect the alcoves. Go to the locked grate on the right and insert the lever you found into the mechanism. The door to the chamber will open—examine the body and take it. the second half of the key.
Open the gate in the main hall
Give the find to Lukor and follow him to the main hall. Once at the massive gate, approach the cultist to initiate a dialogue. The man will hand over the intact key to the hero and ask him to open the door.
In the huge hall with statues, defeat four orcs, take the ruby from the altar and climb up the collapsed ledges near the far wall to the second floor.
Approach the next stone door. It won't open with the key, so the cultist uses the power of the unitor.
How to crack the chest in the Orc Crypt
Before moving on, turn right from the door that opens—there's a small room with a locked box. If you haven't leveled up your lockpicking skill yet, this combination will work:
- No. 4 - 1 to the left;
- No. 3 - 1 to the right;
- No. 2 - 2 to the right;
- No. 4 - 2 to the left;
- No. 3 - 2 to the left;
- No. 2 - 2 to the right;
- No. 1 - 3 to the left;
- No. 4 - 1 to the left;
- No. 6 - 2 to the left;
- No. 1 - 3 to the left;
- No. 4 - 1 to the left;
- No. 3 - 2 to the left;
- No. 2 - 2 to the right;
- No. 6 - 1 to the left;
- No. 5 - 1 to the right;
- No. 4 - 1 to the left;
- No. 3 - 1 to the left;
- No. 2 - 1 to the right;
- No. 1 - 2 to the left.
Inside you will find the scroll "Fear", extract of magical energy, mercury, sulfur, oil.

Behind the door opened by the unitor, in the far room, there's another chest against the wall on the left. It's unlocked, and contains:
- ring of power;
- healing extract;
- magical energy extract;
- bolts ×4;
- arrows ×7.
Defeat Idol Lukor
Follow the guru into the room and listen to the final dialogue. Lukor will refuse to accept the truth about his god, the Sleeper, and will attack the hero, trying to kill him. Fight him off and loot the "Unitor from the Cliff by the Ocean" from his body. For victory, you'll receive 500 experience points.
In the center of this room, also loot the one-handed sword "Sowing Fear" for 42 cleave damage from the skeleton.
Rewards
When you return to Galom and Angar, you will receive the final reward:
- 2,000 experience;
- rune "Teleportation to Swamp Camp".
In total, the "Orcish Crypt" quest will yield a huge amount of trophies and experience in the Gothic remake, preparing you for the transition to the more difficult third chapter.
