The rebalancing of shells is in full swing. The third iteration of the processing of high-explosive shells has been released.
Subtotals
The new changes have started quite successfully, the effectiveness of the new damage calculation mechanics has already been tested, and work has been done on the analysis of statistical data. As the first days of the test showed, the new mechanics proved to work correctly, no technical failures were observed. Therefore, the developers are moving on to the next stage of setting up HE shells.
The fate of technology
One of the most discussed issues was the fate of popular high-explosive tanks, the gameplay of which is based on the use of high-explosive fragmentation shells:
- KV-2;
- FV4005;
- Japanese strands;
- equipment level 4-5;
- and some other vehicles, including some premium tanks, which is of particular concern to their owners.
The developers say that they are monitoring player feedback and promise to pay maximum attention to point adjustments to the gameplay of the above equipment. But this will not happen immediately, for now, first of all, the performance of system changes in high-explosive shells is checked. Fine-tuning with an individual approach to individual tanks will pass after the final stage of this check.
Updates in the third iteration of the test
At the first stage, the minimum indicators of the effectiveness of land mines were tested. Projectile tuning now continues step by step to determine the optimal efficiency for them:
- Alpha strike will increase again, up to 75%, to affect the frequency of use and efficiency (changes will affect all calibers of guns).
- Splash damage will change from 0,1 to 0,5. Ideally, damage reduction should be more even.
- Now the probability of decommissioning external modules of equipment will increase.
- The angle of spread of armor fragments after hitting the internal modules will increase from 45° to 60°.
- Shockwave received a mechanic update to deal increased damage. This will especially affect weakly protected equipment.
- Fixed minor discrepancies in the alpha strike for some high-explosive fragmentation shells.
Results
The main role of new changes — make it more relevant to use high-explosive fragmentation shells in battle and add motivation to this by increasing the probability of critical damage by modules.
So far, all the changes are temporary, the adjustment of high-explosive fragmentation shells is in full swing, and the final stage is still far away. Now the developers will observe how the new edits will affect the gameplay and compare the results with the previous stage of the test.
