Ahead of the imminent release Firefly as a playable character, developers Honkai: StarRail released another animated video dedicated to the heroine. New short film created in collaboration with miHoYoAnime и Fantasy Animation, became a logical continuation of the previous trailer "Now, under the same starry sky", which tells the story of the knights of Glatiramer.
In the video called "Ashes of Glatiramer" The narrative is again told from the perspective of Firefly, who finds herself in the midst of a battle between the knights and the advancing Swarm. The forces turned out to be unequal and the mech pilots are slowly losing ground to the advancing army of Propagation beetles. One of the clones decides to sacrifice himself to save his comrades and goes straight to the queen of beetles, having previously given Firefly a special control panel. Having barely reached the monster's body, the pilot dies, but manages to throw away his mask filled with powerful explosives. It was at this moment that the heroine launches a remote detonation, causing a powerful explosion that destroys all living things.
The Swarm is almost defeated and the Spread begins to retreat, but none of the knights except Firefly survive the battle. Having gathered her strength, the girl puts an end to the battle, completely destroying her home planet. After which the exhausted pilot, drifting in open space among the stone debris, is noticed by a ship Stellaron hunters.
