Rappa in HSR — a legendary representative of the Path of Erudite of the imaginary element type. She calls herself a ninja and wanders through outer space, being Galaxy Ranger, and in his free time he likes to rap and draw graffiti. He is a damage-dealing character who is effective in fighting against a group of opponents due to stable mass damage and the ability to destroy opponents' "shields" in a short period of time.
Since Ninja specializes in penetration, she needs to select her allies and gear so she can constantly drain enemy stamina while simultaneously accumulating special charges to boost her damage output. Consequently, she excels when paired with support characters who increase her penetration or buff this type of damage to maximize her abilities.

How to Get the Character

Rappa can be obtained in the limited-time Event Warp: Character banner, which is called 'Eyes of a Ninja'.
To catch Rappa's next rerun in Honkai: Star Rail, keep an eye on the banner schedule.
Strengths and Weaknesses

Ninja Ranger is a hero who relies on draining enemy stamina. She excels in her niche, especially in AoE content and with the right supports. However, her core mechanics have limitations, such as a significant damage penalty if opponents can't be pierced.
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| Perfect for "Pure fiction" due to massive damage and the need to constantly reduce durability. But it shows itself well in other modes. | Starts to drop in situations where opponents block the ability to affect the stamina bar during combat. |
| Increases break damage taken by enemies if the last trace is open. This, in turn, benefits not only the girl herself, but also her team. | Relies heavily on her ultimate to deal with enemies, so it's important to ensure she can consistently use her ultimate through rotation or buffs. |
| Thanks to her specialization in breaking enemy armor, she doesn't need critical hits. All she needs to do is develop her attack power, speed, and EP. | The "Conclusion" status is inferior to other types in terms of damage output, and also partially harms Rappa itself, preventing them from recovering. |
| Capable of dealing damage with super break and a second trace, which allows you to deal high DPS to enemies when their toughness bar is completely depleted. | Unlike most damage dealers who specialize in reducing durability, can only partially ignore enemy weakness when dealing damage. |
Best Rappa Builds in Honkai: Star Rail

Ninja Girl is a fictitious DPS character, playing from the destruction of enemy "shields" and causing damage over an area. Given the specifics of skills, Rappa's build in XSR is based on the development of such indicators as break effect (EP) and attack power (ATK). There is also a need for speed, which is initially low due to the fact that the unit belongs to the Path of Erudition.
At the same time, it is important to note that "break" damage does not depend on critical values (crit rate and dmg). Accordingly, these stats are not in demand when building the heroine. They will only affect the instant damage from skills and will only further complicate the build without bringing significant improvements. For this reason, it is better to give preference to other parameters.
Recommended Stats
Upper stats of artifacts:
| Relic | Main characteristic |
| Head | HP (fixed) |
| Hands | Attack Power (fixed) |
| Body | ATK |
| Boots | Speed |
| Planar Sphere | ATK |
| Link Rope | Break effect (priority); energy recovery (optional) |
Recommended lower stats:
Speed > EP > ATK
Optimal values of characteristics at the maximum level of hero development:
- EP: 160-250% and more.
- Speed: 145-150+.
- ATK: 2 or 900 to get the full bonus from the "Ninjutsu Inscription: Withered Leaf" trace.
- HP (health): 2+.
- DEF: 800 and more
Light Cone Rating
The most suitable cone would be the signature cone, but other options can also be considered:
| Light cone | Effect | Recommendation |
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 26-582 DEF 21-463 |
Increases break effect by 60-100%. Immediately upon entering combat restores 30-40. energy. After the owner uses the super ability, the "Thunder Relief" status is activated. When the character performs 2 basic jabs, their action moves forward by 50-70%, and the status disappears and is updated the next time the ult is used. | Signa offers a boost to one of the key stats. Equally important, it always provides energy at the start, allowing you to quickly charge your super ability and enter the "Seal Form" state. Subsequently, your basic attack will advance the action, making your rotation more comfortable. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 38-846 ATK 21-476 DEF 18-369 |
Increases break effect by 28-56%. After using the superpower, the character's speed increases by 8-16% for 2 turns. | Besides the signal, this cone is the only one that provides a bonus to EP, making it a viable option. At the same time, activating the ultimate increases movement speed, which positively impacts combat potential due to the increased frequency of actions. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 24-529 DEF 18-396 |
Increases ATK by 8-12%Each hit target increases ATK by another 4-8%The bonus stacks up to 5 times and lasts until the next attack. If the number of enemies hit is greater than or equal to 3, the speed is increased by 8-16% for 1 turn. | Since she consistently deals damage to all enemies with her skill and an improved version of her regular poke, she fully activates her passive ability and gains all available buffs. She excels in the "Pure Fiction" mode. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP: 52-1164 ATK: 26-582 Defense: 18-369 |
Depending on the number of enemies, attack power increases by 9-15%. The bonus can be stacked up to 5 times. If there is an enemy on the battlefield with a broken weakness, the character's damage increases by 30-50% within 1 turn. | The weapon "card," like the previous one, is designed for fighting against groups of enemies. In addition to increasing ATK for each enemy on the battlefield, it can also increase damage dealt. The latter requires the presence of at least one enemy with depleted stamina. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 38-846 ATK 21-476 DEF 18-396 |
Damage dealt is increased by 12-24%. Each enemy destroyed additionally increases the character's attack power by 4-8%. The bonus can be summed up to 3 times. | All damage inflicted is increased without any conditions, and ATK also increases based on the number of enemies defeated. The heroine is primarily used in situations where she must fight multiple enemy targets, so she activates buffs effortlessly. |
If you don’t have the weapons discussed in the table, you can use:
- Make the World Clamor (Epic) - an option for generating more energy if there's no signal, and the superpower doesn't charge in time. However, it's important to note that the second part of the passive effect doesn't work.
- Today Is Another Peaceful Day (Epic) - Increases overall damage based on the player's maximum energy. This superpower costs 140 energy, allowing the passive bonus to be utilized almost entirely.
What relics and ornaments are needed
Artifacts are selected similarly to weapons and take into account the basic needs of the character. Since the damage from depleting enemy stamina is also affected by the decrease in defense, you can equip the corresponding sets.
Cavern relics
| Set and its effects | Recommendation |
![]() 2 parts: break effect +16%. |
One of the best positions for unlocking a character's potential. The key requirement is a threshold of 150% EP. The heroine can also fully utilize the set if she gains stats from other sources. |
![]() 2 parts: break effect +16%. |
Decent equipment that helps you get closer to achieving the recommended value. It also speeds up the Super Ability gauge and the transition to the "Sealing Form" state, which unlocks enhanced weaponry. |
![]() 2 parts: break effect +16%. In combination with sets:
|
2x2 Relics to achieve the required stats and fill the corresponding "gaps" in the build. This type of build is convenient if the aforementioned sets with the required parts in the upper and lower stats are unavailable. |
A more specific, but acceptable option is: Eagle of Twilight Line, which advances the action after using the ultimate. This set is especially effective in the late game, especially if the Ninja can perform three actions per rotation.
Planar ornaments
| Set and its effects | Recommendation |
![]() 2 parts: Penetration effect +16%. If the speed is 145 units or higher, EP increases by an additional 20%. |
A set with a key stat. To activate the maximum increase to this stat, you need to "accelerate" your movement speed to 145. This can be achieved not only by using third-party gear like Relics and Cones, but also by using support gear. |
![]() 2 parts: Speed +6%. If the character deals damage to a target with a weakness to the fire element, EP increases by 40% for 1 turn. |
An alternative set that increases HP and also grants speed. However, its effectiveness varies depending on the battlefield situation: if enemies are weak to fire, it becomes stronger than Taliyah, while otherwise, it loses by about 4%. |
![]() 2 parts: Attack Power +12%. If Speed is 120 or more, ATK increases by another 12%. |
An easy-to-implement yet versatile set with a 24% ATK bonus. Activating the passive shouldn't be a problem in this case, as equipping the Speed Boots is sufficient. A great option at any stage. |
Team Guide for Rappa in HSR
In a team, Rappa plays the role of a damage dealer, focused on clearing out groups of enemies. Due to her unique nature, she pairs well with supports that boost her HP or, alternatively, offer bonuses to attack power, speed, and DPS.
In this case, the squad can be successfully supplemented with debuffers or units of other Paths. In both cases, it is desirable for the characters to break the toughness of opponents as often as possible and thereby help to gain talent charges.
Which characters are suitable?
Suggested allies that can be included in the group:
| Character | Features |
![]() |
Constance's ultimate makes enemies vulnerable to the Dance Partner element (applied to the one who started the fight or has the highest HP). Considering the ninja doesn't inflict weakness to her element, this is very useful. Equally important, the demoness can inflict super penetration even if the enemies' durability isn't completely reduced. |
| One of the best supports. Allows you to gain charges faster and charge your ultimate by frequently breaking your stamina. This doubles the bonuses provided by the talent. Another benefit is the defense reduction. | |
![]() |
The Stellaron Hunter is useful in areas where elite enemies are present, as it can inflict a false elemental vulnerability on them. This will make it much easier to destroy the enemy's weakness. |
![]() |
Pelageya focuses on reducing enemy defenses with her ultimate. Considering this affects the damage dealt by penetration, she's a great addition as a debuffer. |
![]() |
She's considered a versatile support. The only downside is that her ultimate makes it a bit more difficult for the ranger to build up charges due to the longer it takes for enemies to recover from armor depletion. |
![]() |
The False Hero significantly boosts EP and also allows for additional super-piercing damage in addition to the Ninja's own mechanics. Doesn't consume many skill points. |
![]() |
Increases penetration of all resistance types and also deals damage with her bonus attack and ultimate, allowing Rappa to accumulate talent charges when her stamina is depleted. |
![]() |
The ultimate restores energy, which is no less beneficial for a Ninja Ranger than the speed boost. It also increases overall damage, and the skill increases ATK. |
![]() |
Transforms one ally into a Teacher and grants bonuses, allowing for additional damage. March also possesses useful traits: it reduces durability based on the Teacher's element and increases EP. |
![]() |
A powerful healer who inflicts a negative status on enemies, increasing damage. Specializes in summoning a creature that passively heals and helps deal with enemy targets. |
![]() |
A budget replacement for Linsha. Works best in teams that drain stamina, forcing enemies to take more damage when their bar is completely depleted. |

How skills work

The Ninja is an Imaginary damage dealer who deals massive damage primarily through toughness break. During combat, she relies on a strengthened basic attack, which is activated by using super ability and receives additional bonuses due to talent.
Active skills
Ninja Step: The Meaning of Blood || Strengthening
When using the technique, enters the Graffiti state for 20 seconds. While in this state, Rappa moves forward rapidly and attacks enemies she touches, ignoring all incoming attacks. If attacked while Graffiti is active, the state will end prematurely.
After entering combat, ignores vulnerability, dealing 30 damage to the toughness bar. At the same time, deals break damage equal to 200% from its own damage of imaginary penetration, and also deals penetration damage, which is 180% from damage of imaginary break to adjacent enemies. Additionally, 10 energy are restored.
Ninjutsu: Standing Still No Matter || Single Strike
Deals imaginary damage to one enemy target equal to 50-100% of ATK.
Ningu: Demon Slaying Petals || Explosive Strike
Launches "Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade". The first two hits deal imaginary damage equal to 60-100% from the attack power of one enemy target, and imaginary damage, which is 30-50% from the attack force, to adjacent enemies. The last blow deals imaginary damage equal to 60-100% of ATK, to all enemies on the battlefield.
Enhanced b/a does not restore skill points. When attacking an enemy that does not have a weakness to the imaginary element, it can still deal toughness bar damage equal to 50% from the initial tenacity value. After the vulnerability is completely depleted, the "Confinement" status is applied.
Ninja Strike: Deep Determination || Group Strike
Deals imaginary damage to all enemies equal to 60-120% of ATK.
Ultimate Ninja Way: Intense Love || Strengthening
Enters the Sealаorm state, immediately gaining 1 extra turn and 3 stacks of Chroma Ink, while increasing the effectiveness of Toughness Break by 50% and break effect by 10-30%.
During this mode, the normal attack becomes stronger, and the skill and super ability are unavailable. After using the stronger poke, 1 charge of "Chroma Ink" is consumed. When all points are used up, "Sealform" is removed.
Passive Skills
Ninja Technique: Endurance Scale || Strengthening
When an enemy's weakness is pierced, gain 1 charge (max 10). The next time you perform a third hit with an enhanced BA, additional piercing damage is inflicted. 30-60% from damage of imaginary break, to all enemies.
This strike also reduces stamina by 2, regardless of the vulnerability type. While performing the jab, all available charges are consumed, each of which increases the piercing damage multiplier by 25-50% and increases toughness damage by another 1 point regardless of the type of weakness.
Leveling Order
Talent > Super Ability > Basic Attack > Skill
It is recommended to develop all skills, since the heroine is a damage dealer. However, initially you can adhere to the following sequence:
- Talent - allows you to deal much more damage with enhanced b/a due to the accumulation of charges.
- Superpower - is a buff and will affect the amount of EP increase received.
- Basic Attack - Affects not only the normal version, but also the hit received during the "Sealform" state.
- The skill itself does little damage compared to the previous skills, but will be useful while the enhanced strike is inactive.
Traces
Ninja Girl's Talent Tree:
- "Ninjutsu Inscription: Sky High" (A2): breaking the vulnerability of elite enemies or stronger targets restores 1 talent charge and 10 energy.
- "Ninjutsu Inscription: Sea Echo" (A4): While in Seal Form, after using a Powered Basic Attack against a pierced target, the Tenacity damage is converted into a strike that deals 60% Super Pierce damage.
- "Ninjutsu Inscription: Withered Leaf" (A6): When an enemy's weakness is destroyed, their piercing damage is increased by 2%. If their ATK is above 2400, the bonus increases by 1% for every 100 additional ATK (maximum 8%). This lasts for 2 turns.
Total bonus to characteristics:
| ATK | 28% |
| Speed | 9 units |
| Break effect | 13,3% |
Eidolons
The best Eidolons of Rappa are the first, second and sixth ones:
- E1 Allows you to ignore enemy defense when performing a powerful basic attack, increasing overall DPS. At the same time, when the "Sealform" state ends, additional energy is given.
- E2 similarly buffs the enhanced b/a. However, in this case, the durability damage is increased only for the first 2 strikes, which are distributed to one enemy and adjacent enemy targets.
- E6 Increases the talent's charge accumulation limit to 15, and also provides the heroine with additional charges immediately after entering battle or performing her 3rd enhanced strike.
F2P players are advised to stop at getting their first Eidolon.
| E1: Returning from the Other World Without Paying the Bill | During the "Sealform" state, 15% of enemy defense is ignored when dealing damage. After exiting this state, 20 energy is restored. |
| E2: "Freedom of Thought, Enlightened Haiku" | The durability damage of the first 2 hits of a strengthened normal attack is increased by 50%. |
| E3: "Many shrines that let hell go" | Skill level +2. Max level - 15. Talent level +2. Max level - 15. |
| E4: "The Loss of a Nindo, Steeped in Time" | While in Seaform, Rappa increases the Speed of all allies by 12%. |
| E5: "The Cold-Blooded Ranger's Arrow Accuracy" | Superpower level +2. The maximum level is 15. The level of basic attack +1. The maximum level is 10. |
| E6: "The righteousness of anger that spares no evil" | At the start of the fight, 5 charges are given, and their maximum number increases by 5. After performing the 3rd hit while using the enhanced basic poke, another 5 charges are given. |
How to play Rappa in HSR

During battle, the heroine strives to quickly build up energy and enter the "Seal Form" state using her superpower. In this state, the Galactic Rangers ninja can only use her enhanced jab, which is her primary source of DPS. In other words, the gameplay involves consistently using a skill (sometimes a standard attack) to activate her ultimate and enter the special mode. Ideally, this requires the heroine and her allies to constantly breach enemy weaknesses to accumulate talent charges for additional damage.
Let's take a closer look at Rappa's rotation:
- Before the battle begins, it is recommended to use a technique that allows you to inflict significant damage to several enemies at the start and restore 10 units of energy.
- Use the skill to hit all enemies at once and still get enough energy. The regular basic attack is only used in extreme cases. For example, if you need to save or restore action points.
- When the super ability is charged, activate it to enter the Sealform state and gain 3 Chroma Ink charges (the number of upgraded strikes available). The skill and ultimate will be unavailable during this state.
- After the super ability, perform a basic attack with a boost 3 times. The remaining amount of "Chroma Ink" is indicated on the left above the health bar, and below the HP are talent charges for increasing damage.
- Continue attacking until the condition ends, then repeat the rotation from step #2.
To deal as much damage as possible with the last hit in the "Sealform" state, target the first 2 attacks of enemies that can be broken. However, if the charges are needed more in the next wave, it is optimal to do the opposite: do not specifically reduce the stamina bar with the first 2 hits, leaving this for the final hit.
Is The Character Worth Pulling?

In Honkai: Star Rail, Galactic Rangers Ninja Rappa focuses on dealing fake area damage and constantly draining her opponents' stamina by penetrating their vulnerability. In combat, she relies on a boosted basic attack, granted through the "Seal Form" superpower, while also providing herself with useful buffs, such as increased effectiveness and a piercing effect.
Gameplay-wise, she's straightforward—the main goal is to use her skills and then activate her ultimate to enter an enhanced combat mode. While she doesn't boast much versatility or exceptional options compared to other damage dealers, she excels in content that requires AoE damage. Overall, she's worth picking if you prefer to play for penetration and also need someone who excels in modes like Pure Fiction.
Which is better: signature or E1
Signature Weapon is an optimal investment, as it's one of the few cones that increases EP. It also provides energy at the start of battle, speeding up the transition to Seal Form. Subsequently, the "card" advances the action for every two hits, making it easier to gain energy through more frequent actions.
The first Eidolon is an equally powerful option, as it lowers enemy defense while using the enhanced b/a and also restores energy. However, the light cone becomes preferable thanks to wider functionality, making gameplay more comfortable and simplifying assembly.
