Ruin hunter in Genshin impact is a boss belonging to the Automaton class. In the adventure book, it is described as a gigantic alien war machine that is part of a long forgotten ancient kingdom. Also in the manual it is said about their danger both in melee and ranged combat.
The enemy is considered rarer and more difficult than the classic guardian of the ruins, which can be found throughout Teyvat. Upon victory, you can get the following materials:- Chaos device (guaranteed);
- Chain of Chaos (from the boss level 40 and above);
- Chaos Core (from an enemy level 60+);
- Artifacts from sets: "Healer", "Berserker", "Instructor", "Exiled" (random).
Where to find the Ruin Hunter on the map in Genshin Impact
At one time, across the map, you can fight with 6 opponents of this type. You can meet them only in two regions of Teyvat - Li Yue and Inazuma. Most of it is in Geolocation. You can track the boss using the "Enemies" section in Adventure Handbook. It is easier to find it by sorting opponents and setting the value to "Elite".
After winning and collecting resources from the map, the opponents will recover and appear in the same places after 16 hours. Average travel time is about 25-30 minutes. Rewards do not require spending Elemental Resin.
Li Yue
Most of the necessary opponents are located in this region. The first can be found on the Yaoguang Shoal. The enemy will be located in the water, surrounded by broken guardians of the ruins.
Another one is waiting on the mountain, not far from the slope of the Kingfisher. You can get to the enemy from two teleportation points. It's easier to go down the mountain in a glider. In this case, you do not have to climb the rock.
The other three monsters can be found near Tianheng Mountain and Lingjiu Pass. Recommended collection routes are shown on the map above.
The most difficult Ruin Hunter in Li Yue is the Tianheng Mountain Boss. To find it, you need to climb to the top of the mountain, which is located to the right of the teleportation point.
Inazuma
One Ruin Hunter can be found in this region of Teyvat. The boss will be located on the island of Narukami, not far from Araumi.
The monster sits on the edge of the cliff, to the left of the teleportation point. By turning the camera in this direction, you can easily see the necessary enemy and plan to it.
Ruin Hunter [Squad]
Guidelines for building a squad to fight the Ruin Hunter:
- The squad should take at least 1 archer to attack the weak spot of the enemy.
- You can give preference to characters with catalysts, since the resistance to elemental damage is lower.
- It is not recommended to use characters pumped into physical damage (for example, Razora or aeolus) due to the high resistance of the enemy.

How to beat a Ruin Hunter in Genshin Impact
The Ruin Hunter is considered a dangerous boss, both in melee and ranged combat. It moves quickly through the air, falling to the ground only when hitting a weak point.
He also has 50% resistance to physical damage character. That is, when attacking a monster with a normal attack with a sword, bow or spear, hp will decrease by half of the original number of damage dealt. To the elemental damage of any element, the resistance is 10%, that is, the blow will take away 90% of the attack from hp.
Attacks and abilities
When the active character is close to this enemy, the hunter enters the melee mode. In this case, he is characterized by 2 types of attacks.
The first - "Blade Strike". Turns on the transformation of the monster's "hand" into a blade-blade, with which he inflicts sharp blows on the character. After it, the opponent can spend combo attack, which consists of one sharp blow and the subsequent spinning of the boss along its axis. In this state, he pursues the character for a while.
Leaving the melee zone will cause the Ruin Hunter to enter bombardment mode and activate the machine guns on the top of the hull. In this state, he can use 3 different attacks:
- "Bombardment", which consists in launching 8 rockets that randomly fall near the character and inflict moderate damage on him. To dodge, you need to watch the red circles on the ground and avoid them.
- "Focused Beam", consisting of launching 8 rockets that automatically fly at the character. After them, the hunter releases an energy beam that deals significant Pyro damage. From such attacks it is necessary to run aside after the appearance of shells.
- "Machine gun burst", consisting of a burst of small beam projectiles that deal low damage.
Ruin Hunters Weakness
The weak point of the boss is bright yellow core, which is activated when you turn on the ranged combat mode. To stop the enemy, you need to hit him once. It is most convenient to do this charged archer attack. After that, the hunter will turn off and fall to the ground, which will make it easier to deal damage.

"Great" article!
Writing is a priority not for high-level players who are looking for materials, but for those who are stuck on the main plot on this monster, because. in the vast majority, they will go to this article. For them, this flock is inferior. To win supposedly only through a weak spot, i.e. the core, although without an archer with a scattered strike, this is also not particularly possible, and one attempt to hit can cost the life of a Persian, because. the hunter can remove all hp at once. And most likely you don’t have such an archer at the stage of the first meeting with the monster on the main plot. And about evasion, it’s simply written “leave the red circles”, although just leaving, you won’t dodge, you need to leave the whole area with red circles in general. The problem of finding cover and a place to attack is also not affected. Therefore, the article is defective and does not correspond to the quality of the site!
1. Amber is suitable for shooting at weak spots - everyone has it. If, of course, to substitute, charging an arrow under the very enemy, then the archer will lose hp at any level. And he won't be able to attack.
2. Leaving the red circles means “leaving the red circles” (sorry for the tautology, but this advice will not sound simpler).
3. As for finding cover, thank you - we will add a mention that you can hide behind obstacles from long-range attacks.
4. "A place to attack" - an incomprehensible wording. There is a Ruin Hunter, there is a core. It has to be hit. If you do not hit, then dodge until you are exposed to melee attacks.
Thanks for the detailed answer. All clear.
IT IS IMPORTANT! I FOUND A FEW MORE WAYS TO RUIN HUNTER AND WILL WRITE THEM FOR THOSE WHO WATCH THIS ARTICLE!
1. Melee fighter with a sword. We approach the hunter closely. This way he will stay low and stop attacking with bombs. We try to hold on to his lower propeller, that is, behind him and beat him. He will try to turn to face us and hit, do not let him do it, again running behind his propeller.
2. Catalyst. Just the same as with the archer, and we also try to keep an average distance so that the enemy waves his arms, and does not throw bombs.
In principle, elemental reactions and damage are much preferable against him, because he has 10% protection from elementals, and 50% from physical damage.
