Briefly about the events of the previous season
The dying words of the “Pirate King” Gol D. Roger changed the world: before his execution, the legendary pirate publicly announced that he had hidden the greatest treasure of One Piece on the Grand Line. Whoever finds this legendary wealth will become the new "King of the Pirates", and for this, thousands of people have cast aside their past and become sea robbers.
The main character is the boy Monkey D. Luffy, who wants to reach the Grand Line and find One Piece. As a child, the boy ate a devil fruit that belonged to Shanks' pirate crew, whose captain later saved the child and even lost his arm because of it. The legendary sea wolf gave Luffy his straw hat and believed in him.
At the age of seventeen, a young man with the power of Rezin-Rezin set off in a boat across the ocean towards his dream, but along the way the boat began to sink, and the guy hid on Alvida’s ship. This person became the first of the pirates to be defeated by the main character. Along the way, Luffy saves the boy Coby, who was practically enslaved by the evil captain for two years.
Two friends go to the nearest island, where the Marine base is located. Coby decides to join this organization, fulfilling his dream, and Luffy intends to steal a map from the office that will help him find the way to the Grand Line. During this event, the young pirate frees the swordsman Zoro and meets the girl Nami, who is also interested in the map. The three of them escape from the island on the boat of a new acquaintance, with Vice Admiral Garp following on their heels.
On the way, the heroes are captured by the pirate Buggy, who, thanks to the devil's fruit, is able to divide his body and control its parts at a certain distance. Luffy and the crew defeat him, but a problem arises: Nami's boat won't last long, so a ship is needed. On the next island, the team exposes the pirates, acquires a ship, and the boy Usopp joins them.
After setting sail, the Marines catch up with them, and it turns out that Garp is Luffy's grandfather. The team does not give up and, having broken the opponents' mast, disappears. They decide to take a break on the restaurant ship, where they meet the cook Sanji. At the same time, the vice admiral contacts the corsair (shichibukai) Mihawk to find his grandson.
Following his goal - to become the greatest swordsman - Zoro challenges Dracule, who at that time held this title, to a duel. He wins, but leaves his opponent alive against Garp's orders, seeing potential in Luffy's crew members. Suddenly the pirate Arlong and his fish-men appear. It turns out that Nami had been working for him all this time, and Buggy's ear, whose head was captured by enemies, was hidden in Luffy's straw hat. The pirates take the map along with the girl, and it seems that everything is over for Luffy, but he is not going to give up.
The young captain managed to steal Buggy's head and, with his help, intends to return the map and Nami, who, according to Monkey, serves Arlong unwillingly. From the flashbacks it becomes clear that the girl is really forced to serve the fish people for the safety of her village and its inhabitants. By joining forces, the heroes manage to defeat Arlong, and then defend Luffy’s dream to Garp.
Buggy gets his body back, escapes, and teams up with Alvida to destroy the new pirate. Mihawk meets with Shanks and talks about the Straw Hat Pirates and their potential, while the main characters continue their journey to the Grand Line.
