In HSR, Saber is a Wind follower of the Destruction path and a special hero available within the Fate/stay night collaboration. You will be able to meet the girl knight in the Dreamscapr of Penacony, where she arrives to participate in a short plot branch about the First Holy Grail War.
The heroine focuses on destroying enemy targets, therefore, she takes the position of the main damage dealer around whom the group is built. It is important to note that she relies heavily on allies who are able to consistently and frequently activate their ultimates in order to remain effective in battle.
Thanks to the abilities that allow her to inflict significant damage on one or more targets, the swordswoman is suitable for clearing content of absolutely any focus. The most important thing is to choose the optimal equipment and suitable partners that will help to realize all the functionality of the unit.

How to Get the Character

A unique banner dedicated to the heroine will appear July 11, 2025 in the update 3.4 and will presumably last until the end of version 3.6. Saber and her eidolons can only be obtained as part of the collaboration, using Special Star Passes. The calculation of the guarantee and the history of the warps are separate from banners of other types.
Strengths and Weaknesses

Let's look at the Servant's strengths and weaknesses:
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
| A self-sufficient and versatile damage dealer, suitable for completing content of various types and complexity, including "Forgotten Halls", "Apocalyptic Shadow", "Pure fiction". | An expensive super ability, costing 360 energy. However, its stable use is an important aspect that directly affects the Heroic Spirit's effectiveness in battle. |
| Built-in crit boosts in traces make her easier to build, allowing you to achieve optimal stats even if you're not very lucky with cavern relics or planar ornaments. | Depends on allies, especially on the frequency of their ultimate skills activation. This affects not only the heroine's final damage, but also the energy recovery received. |
| Initially high DPS, which is further increased during battle by personal enhancements: the skill multiplier and all damage inflicted are increased. | While the swordswoman is good in any mode, she is a bit harder to use in AoE scenarios due to the occasional "bounces" in her ult. |
| Can be neutral for the team in terms of skill point consumption due to the fact that it generates 1 skill point from the Knight of the Dragon trace. | Not very convenient for auto-combat due to the fact that the super ability contains all the power of the unit and the use of this skill must be carefully thought out. |
| Capable of accumulating energy beyond the limit if the Blessing of the Lake trace is open. This feature adds more flexibility to the character. |
Best Saber Builds in Honkai: Star Rail

As the core of the team, the warrior needs the stats that any DPS unit needs: attack power, crits, and elemental bonus. Considering that the super ability is a key skill and allows you to boost your basic attack, it is also worth highlighting speed and energy recovery.
As a rule, energy is obtained from consuming stacks of Core Resonance, so it is not recommended to use an ER link rope without strict necessity at the expense of attack.
The parameters under consideration will allow the girl to charge the ultimate more stably and thus maximize her combat potential. As a result, the build for Saber in HSR should meet the following criteria:
- increase base stats that increase damage inflicted;
- promote stable ult activation during combat.
Recommended Stats
Main characteristics in relics:
| Head | HP (fixed) |
| Hands | Attack Power (fixed) |
| Body | Crit Rate (priority) or Crit DMG (situational) |
| Boots | Speed (priority) or attack power (optional) |
| Planar Sphere | Wind bonus (priority) or attack power (optional) |
| Link Rope | Attack Power (priority) or energy recovery (optional) |
Additional stats (sub-stats):
Speed > CRIT Rate and DMG > ATK
Final stat values for a max level character:
- speed - 134+ or 1 point more than the buffer.
- Crit. chance - 100% (during combat with 20% increase from trace 1).
- Critical damage - 150% and more.
- ATK - 2-500+
Light Cone Rating
The most important stats when choosing a weapon are crits, ATK, and energy recovery. Speed is also a good thing, especially if there are no other sources of stat increase.
| Light cone | Effect | Recommendation |
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-953 ATK 26-582 DEF 24-529 |
CRIT damage increases by 36-72%When using a super ability, attack power increases by 40-80%. If the wearer's maximum energy pool is greater than or equal to 300, a fixed amount of energy equal to 10% of their max energy is restored, and the attack power is also increased by 40-80% for 2 turns. | Signature weapon with key increases. Fully corresponds to the mechanics and needs of the swordswoman, multiplying her final DPS. As a rule, along with this "card" is placed a crit. chance in the body of the cavern relic. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 24-529 DEF 18-396 |
When the wearer performs a strike, their attack power increases by 8-16%. The effect stacks up to 4 times. When the wearer penetrates an enemy's weakness, the damage dealt increases by 12-24% for 2 turns. | The free option of legendary rarity significantly increases ATK, from which the heroine's skills are scaled, which has a positive effect on her effectiveness. The second part of the passive is more situational, but due to frequent damage, the probability of penetrating enemies increases. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 28-635 DEF 18-396 |
Crit chance increases by 18-30%When the wearer performs a basic attack, 1 level of the Dragon's Call status is granted for 2 turns. Each stack of this effect increases attack power by 18-30%, and energy recovery rate by 6—10%. The "Dragon's Call" status stacks up to 2 times. | An attractive option with a crit chance. In addition, the weapon buffs ATK and ER, which is important for the heroine. To get all the bonuses, you will have to use the basic attack, which corresponds to the unit's gameplay, since the superpower gives the usual blow new properties. |
⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 24-529 DEF 15-330 |
Crit chance increases by 12-20%. Damage dealt by skill and super ability is increased by 24-40%. | A convenient cone that provides useful bonuses in the form of Crit rate, increased skill damage, and superpowers that the swordswoman actively uses in battle. No conditions need to be met to activate the bonuses. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 52-1164 ATK 26-582 DEF 18-396 |
ATK is increased by 24-40%. After defeating an enemy or when a target attacks the wearer, the character immediately restores health equal to 8-12% from the attack power. In addition, the damage is increased by 24-40% until the end of the next turn. The effect does not stack and only occurs once per turn. | Also supports survivability by restoring health. To maximize this, you will need to defeat at least one enemy or take damage every turn, which is why it may be beneficial to place the heroine next to Abundance or Preservation with high Taunt. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 43-952 ATK 21-476 DEF 15-330 |
ATK is increased by 16-32%. After defeating an enemy, the critical chance increases by 12-24% for 3 turns. | Another decent epic weapon with ATK and crit chance. To get the second buff, you need to defeat enemies, which makes the "card" a good option when fighting multiple targets. |
![]() ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HP 48-1058 ATK 21-476 DEF 12-264 |
When the wearer performs a basic attack, skill, or super ability, they gain 1 level of Mischief status. Each stack of the effect increases attack power by 12-24%. | Optimal cone in the early and mid game, especially at max. superimposition level. Allows you to accumulate stacks for using any active skill, which subsequently increases ATK many times. |
Alternative options among weapons:
- Thus Burns the Dawn (legendary), and also Indelible Promise, Nowhere to Run и A Secret Vow (epic) - options with useful combat gains, but more specific secondary bonuses and/or requirements than their counterparts, but can still be used before obtaining the previous options.
- Collapsing Sky и Shattered Home (rare) - Three-star weapons, suitable for the initial stages of content. Easily upgraded to the maximum, which brings a lot of benefit at the start.
What relics and ornaments are needed
When choosing artifacts, you need to consider whether they contain useful stats and whether the bonus passive matches the unit's mechanics.
Cavern relics
| Set and its effects | Recommendation |
![]() 2 parts: Crit. damage +16%. |
A specialized set for hyper-carries, as it is important for the wearer to constantly take buffs from allies to activate the effect. If the requirement is met, the superpower is significantly strengthened during activation. |
![]() 2 parts: crit chance +8%. |
A universal option with the necessary increases. Crit. chance will simplify the balance of stats, and a direct increase in damage from the super ability (the main source of DPS) and skill (no less significant in gameplay) will maximize the final damage in combat. |
If you don't have any of the full sets yet, they can be combined with each other depending on the lack with one or another stat. In addition, you can use the Musketeer of Wild Wheatset, which is available at the start of the game and also goes well into 2x2 mixs.
Planar ornaments
| Set and its effects | Recommendation |
![]() 2 parts: Critical Chance +8%. When Critical Chance is 50% or more, damage dealt by Super Ability and Bonus Attack is increased by 15%. |
Although the set increases damage from the bonus attack, which is not among the heroine's skills, the presence of a buff for the super ability already makes the option a worthy choice. In addition, the crit. chance may come in handy if it is not enough to reach the threshold value. |
![]() 2 parts: Attack Power +12%. If Speed is 135/160 or more, damage dealt is increased by 12/18%. |
Provided the character meets at least the min. requirement of 135 speed, it becomes a good option, decently buffing total damage. However, to get the full boost, it may require supports that apply speed status. |
![]() 2 parts: Attack Power +12%. If Speed is 120 or more, ATK increases by an additional 12%. |
One of the best sets for beginners with a large amount of ATK. In order for the set to work completely, the heroine needs to collect 120 speed or just put on legendary boots with this stat. |
![]() 2 parts: Critical Chance +8%. If Critical Chance is 70% or higher, damage dealt by Basic Attack and Skill increases by 20%. |
If the swordswoman has a high crit chance, this set will suit her well. The skill and b/a are similar to the ult, they are often used in rotation, and increasing the damage from the named abilities definitely won't hurt. |
All the ornaments are approximately equal to each other, so give preference to the one with better stats.
Team Guide for Saber in HSR
Saber's role in the team is the main damage dealer/hyper-carry. Accordingly, she needs supports with buffs or nerfs (Harmony and Nihility) and sustainers (Preservation and Abundance)
The main thing to pay attention to when building a squad is the need for partners who can ult frequently. This directly increases the heroine's damage and gives additional stacks of "Core Resonance", which are used to enhance the skill and restore energy from this skill.
Which characters are suitable?
The girl gets the most benefit from the following support characters:
| Character | Features |
![]() |
A comfortable support in all senses, increasing key combat characteristics, and also advances the action and restores energy, which is especially appreciated by the Heroic Spirit. In a squad with him, the warrior will be able to build an optimal rotation and deal more damage. |
![]() |
Half support, half secondary damage dealer with versatile buffs. Ideally paired with units capable of dealing area damage. During combat, tends to activate the super ability every 2 turns, which builds up stacks for the swordswoman. |
![]() |
Offers a significant advantage to the group (in addition to the main buffs) due to the Concerto effect from the super ability. This state advances the action of all allies and increases their ATK value. At the same time, the ult is an important skill, and Robin actively uses it in battle. |
![]() |
A high-speed unit that aims to constantly restore skill points, apply buffs (crits, damage, ATK) and advance the selected ally's action by 50%. Will be an excellent alternative to any Harmony hero in a team with the warrior. |
![]() |
Considering that the Heroic Spirit deals high damage to both single and multiple targets, it is highly likely that it will be able to penetrate vulnerabilities. The buffs offered by the scientist will allow for a much faster reduction in durability and will further increase all damage. |
![]() |
Mechanically similar to Sparkle, except that she allows you to perform an action immediately, but does not give skill points and consumes a large amount of resources. Although the Servant herself is not very demanding on skill points, Bronya, on the contrary, consumes them every turn. Accordingly, for a comfortable game, it is better to provide the girl with E1 and / or the signature. |
![]() |
One of the few Harmony supports, besides Sunday, who can restore energy. Thanks to this, she fits well into budget Servant packs. However, she is not limited to regen, with active skills increasing attack power and damage inflicted. |
![]() |
The superpower is considered one of the main sources of damage for the swordswoman, and this representative of Nihility just increases the damage to enemies from the ultimate skills of allies. In addition, the character is active during the battle and helps in gaining stacks. |
| An extremely mobile debuffer that depends on the combat power of his partners. This creates a good combination with the Servant, who deals huge amounts of damage. At the same time, the cat thief, thanks to her high speed, quickly accumulates energy for her ult, which will come in handy for the warrior. | |
![]() |
A pleasant character with various negative effects. The most valuable are the weakening in the form of lowering defense and creating vulnerability to the wind element. Although the latter bonus applies only to one target, in any case it will make the party more flexible. |
![]() |
Free but effective support. Doesn't spend a lot of skill points, advances the action, increases Crit DMG. Another advantage is the infliction of true damage, and in this case there is an additional synergy with the Servant - 3 trace increases true damage for every 10 point of max. energy of the ally. |
![]() |
One of the best healers for the Heroic Spirit. Offers stable HP recovery to maintain high survivability in the party. In addition, it can restore energy and increase attack power through the use of super ability. |

How Saber's Skills Work

The heroine's skills deal wind damage and spread to one or more opponents, allowing her to act as a hyper-carry in a variety of combat modes. Her main feature is her ultimate, which is one of the main sources of damage, and also allows you to activate an enhanced basic attack.
During the battle, the swordswoman accumulates special levels/stacks, including at the expense of her partners. Stacks are consumed when using the skill, which not only increases the skill's damage, but also additionally restores energy, which is extremely necessary due to the high cost of the super ability.
Active skills
The Servant's active rotation skills include:
- Technique - Activates a boost: increases the character's attack power (ATK) and gives one charge of "Core Resonance" at the beginning of the battle.
- Basic attack - Deals wind damage to the selected target;
- Enhanced Basic Attack — gives levels of "Core Resonance" and deals damage to all enemies. If there are 1 or 2 enemies on the field, additional damage occurs.
- Skill - attacks multiple targets. If the stacks of "Core Resonance" restore energy to full when used, the damage multiplier from the skill increases.
- Ultimate - damage is inflicted on an area, after which one random enemy receives several more hits. After use, the b/a becomes stronger.
Enhance
After using the technique at the beginning of the battle, ATK increases by 35%for 2 turns + 2 stacks of "Core Resonance" are given.
Single target
Deals wind damage to one target equal to 50-100% of ATK.
AoE
Gains 2 Core Resonance charges and deals Wind damage to all enemies equal to 75-150% of attack power. If there are 2/1 of the enemy(s) in the arena, additionally deals wind damage to all targets equal to 75-150%/110-220% of atk, respectively.
Blast
Deals wind damage to one target equal to 75-150% of ATK, and then deals wind damage to adjacent opponents equal to 37.5-75% of ATK.
- If consuming the accumulated "Core Resonance" when using a skill fully restores the character's energy, the DPS multiplier of this skill increases by 7-14% for each stack.
- Otherwise, 3 levels of "Core Resonance" are given.
AoE
Deals wind damage equal to 140-280% of attack power. Then deals damage to one random enemy equal to 55-110% of attack power, 10 times. After activating the ultimate, boosts the next basic attack.
Passive Skills
In battle, Saber's talentworks passively, due to which the girl increases her damage and receives levels of "Core Resonance" if allies use their ultimates. Additionally, a small amount of energy is given for consuming stacks, which speeds up the filling of the energy bar.
Enhance
Gain 1 charge of Core Resonance upon entering combat. When allies use their Super Ability, the heroine's damage is increased by 30-60% for 2 turns. In addition, 3 stacks of Core Resonance are given. Consuming 1 stack restores 8 energy.
Leveling Order
Superpower/Skill > talent ≥ basic attack
Saber's Ultimate and skill are the main sources of her damage that are actively used by the character during combat, so they should be the main focus. Her Talent is another useful button that additionally increases the warrior's damage every time her allies use superpowers. Her Basic attack, in turn, is no less significant due to its enhanced variation: level it up side-by-side with with other skills.
Traces
Total bonus to characteristics from hidden talents:
- wind damage bonus - + 22.4 %
- crit chance - + 12 %
- HP- + 10 %
| Wind bonus +3,2% (lvl.1) | |||
| Knight of the Dragon (A2): Crit. chance is increased by 20%. When entering battle and performing a strengthened basic attack, the "Mana Burst" effect is given. If the unit, while under this effect, has "Core Resonance" stacks and fully restores energy from the skill from consuming them, then "Mana Burst" is spent. This gives 1 skill point and allows you to immediately perform the action. | Crit chance +2,7% (A2) | Wind bonus +3,2% (A3) | HP +4% (A3) |
| Blessing of the Lake (A4): Saber can accumulate up to 120 points of excess energy. After activating the super ability, all energy gained by this talent is transferred to the next ultimate. When the battle begins, if the energy value is below 60%, it is restored to 60%. | Wind bonus +4,8% (A4) | Crit chance +4% (A5) | Wind bonus +4,8% (A5) |
| Crown of the Star (A6): Using the skill increases Crit DMG by 50% for 2 turns. For each stack of Core Resonance, Crit Rate is further increased by 4%, stacking up to 8 times. | HP +6% (A6) | Crit chance +5,3% (lvl.75) | Wind bonus +6,4% (lvl.80) |
Eidolons
| E1 | Increases damage dealt by Super Ability by 60%. Grants 1 charge of Core Resonance after performing a Basic Attack or Skill. |
| E2 | For each stack of Core Resonance gained, Saber ignores 1% of the enemy target's defense (max 15). When the skill multiplier increase effect is triggered, each stack increases the multiplier by an additional 7%. |
| E3 |
|
| E4 | Wind Resistance Penetration is increased by 8%. After using the superpower, the effect gains a 4% boost and can stack up to 3 times. |
| E5 |
|
| E6 | The Ultimate's resistance penetration is increased by 20%, and the Blessing of the Lake trace can record 200 more excess energy. Upon entering combat and activating the superpower for the first time, 300 energy is restored. The effect is triggered once for every subsequent 1 activations of the Ultimate. |
Saber's best eidolons are the first, second and sixth ones:
- E1 — a useful bonus that increases damage from the super ability. In addition, for each basic hit it gives 1 level of "Core Resonance", which will have a positive effect on the energy and damage from the skill.
- E2 - ignoring enemy defense up to 15% with stacks, as well as increasing the skill multiplier. Together, both buffs provide a decent boost to all damage dealt.
- E6 — the heroine's peak power (especially considering other unlocked eidolons), increasing the resistance penetration from the ult, thereby further strengthening it. In addition, any energy problems are completely solved.
As a F2P player or a newbie looking to max out your Servant, unless you have a large number of Special Star Passes, it is recommended to go with the second eidolon.
How to Play Saber in HSR

The warrior from the Fate universe is a powerful attacking unit whose main task is to destroy various groups of enemies. Her main ability is considered to be the ultimate: it not only deals huge damage to an area and one target, but also enhances the basic attack, expanding the list of actively used combat skills.
Accordingly, when playing the character, it is of primary importance to make sure that she can consistently cast her superpower during battle. However, this is achieved not so much by energy recharge as by frequent use of ults by allies, because it is thanks to this that special stacks of "Core Resonance" are accumulated, replenishing the energy bar.
Let's take a step-by-step look at what Saber's rotation is based on:
- Before the battle begins, use the technique. It will increase the heroine's attack power and, what is no less important, will give 2 stacks at the start of the battle.
- The next goal is to accumulate "Core Resonance" from allies' Ultimates. The faster and more often this happens, the higher the swordswoman's performance becomes.
- If it's the unit's turn, the skill always takes precedence (until the basic attack is enhanced).
- When enough stacks are gained to fully restore energy for using the skill, the damage of this skill will increase. In addition, if the Knight of the Dragon trace is unlocked, Saber's action will immediately advance + 1 skill point will be restored.
- Ultimate is never used immediately after it's accumulated, as the Blessing of the Lake trace allows you to accumulate energy beyond the limit. Before doing this, it is important to make sure that the key buffs are activated.
- After activating the Ultimate, the next hit becomes empowered, dealing more area damage, providing stacks, and refreshing the Knight of the Dragon trace effect. The rotation then repeats from step 2.
Is Saber worth getting?

Saber is a Path of Destruction damage dealer who can easily clear content of any difficulty. High personal damage, built-in buffs, and effectiveness against a different number of opponents make the warrior an excellent damage dealer. Her gameplay is also relatively easy to master, but due to the specifics of her ult and energy gain, she may still not be very suitable for those who prefer to play in the auto-battle mode.
The most important thing to face when using the unit is the selection of allies who actively use superpowers. This fact will affect not only the final damage, but also the performance of the character in battle. Subsequently, building the heroine and squad members plays an important role in revealing her maximum potential. In addition, this can include supports with a skill set aimed at promoting action and restoring energy.
However, if you need a strong and at the same time versatile fighter, suitable for both "Forgotten Hall"/"Apocalyptic Shadow", and partly for "Pure Fiction", the Heroic Spirit will be the optimal choice. She does not bring in anything significantly new, especially to experienced players with fully built and leveled damage dealers, but she definitely copes with her main tasks with dignity, if all the features are taken into account.
Which is better: signature or E1
The Knight Girl is a limited collaboration character, so it is recommended to get her first eidolonfirst. Despite the fact that the signature cone itself offers quite versatile and useful bonuses, there are many worthy alternatives among weapons. In addition, E1 directly increases the damage of the ult and gives an additional level of "Core Resonance", which in the end will be no less effective.
We hope this guide helped you understand the mechanics of the Heroic Spirit in Honkai: Star Rail and put together the best build for Saber. If you have any questions about the character, feel free to share them in comments.
