The Cherchet La Femme mission introduces Cyberpunk 2077 players to the Braindance virtual technology and teaches how to interact effectively with it. In this guide, we will tell you what you should pay attention to when completing this quest, and help you get comfortable with the controls inside the raw “brain”.
prehistory
The plot task "Cherchet la femme" appears in the journal after completing the mission "The First Rule of the Afterlife". According to Dexter, Evelyn Parker, our main client, wants to see the performer in person before starting the operation to make sure he's qualified. She won't refuse it.
Meeting with Evelyn
To start the quest, you need to appear at the Lizzies bar between 18:00 and 6:00 and talk to the bouncers at the entrance.
- Once inside, we follow the bar and talk with Mateo. Evelyn will chime in and we can retire to the VIP room to discuss the delicate details of the upcoming operation.
- During the conversation, we learn that the biochip will be stolen from the hotel room of Erinobu Arasaki himself. This is where the possibilities of brandance come in handy, with which we can study the layout carefully premises and take into account all the small nuances.
Getting to know Judy
A good friend Evelyn will help us get used to this technology.
- Following Parker, we find ourselves in the basemyont where Judy works. We get to know her and agree to undergo training on the use of virtual technologies.
- Awaiting further instructions.
After creating a sensory profile and calibrating the equipment, Judy will launch us into training braindancing and teach the basics of management.
Training
This technology allows you to live the life of another person, experience his emotions and feelings, but in the "spectator" mode. However, the raw version of braindancing literally takes the user into virtual reality and makes it possible to interact with everything that is in the field of view of the object.
Control scheme on the keyboard / gamepad:

- Switch to the sound layer and focus on one of the two noise sources. We eavesdrop on the conversation00:25).
- Go back to the "Image" layer and scan the affected customer (00:34).
- We rewind the picture until the death of the criminal (00:49) and study data from surveillance cameras (00:47).
- We are disconnected from the training brandance.
Room inspection at Erinobu Arasaki Hotel
Now we are ready to search for evidence in Evelina's specially prepared brandance. To complete the inspection of the virtual apartments of the son of the head of the Corporation at 100%, you must pay attention to the following items.

- Adam Smasher (00:12);
- Alarm (00:16);
- Surveillance cameras with an extensive system of additional sensors (00:16);
- Automatic turret (02:02);

The final
After completing the manipulations with the brandance, Evelyn will ask us to linger and make an offer regarding cooperation outside of Dexter's services. We can refuse her, or we can promise that we will think about it. The implications of this choice are detailed in one of our articles.

An interesting quest, but it is built rather strangely, because of which you can wind the “video recording” back and forth for minutes without a guide to no avail. Not fatal, of course, but not pleasant either.
